It is hard for two single ladies to get a night together with no kids. We decided to try out Water's Table for Happy Hour because it said they had free parking. The food was great, I had a large slider and some clam chowder and my friend had a large slider with some brussel sprouts. However, the service was terrible. There were 3-4 servers behind the bar, but it took us around 15 minutes to even get one of them to acknowledge us. They did have a small crowd, but nothing outrageous. The servers were obviously busy, but they ignored our efforts to be helped and 3 other couples got served who sat down after us. When we left, there was only a few people left in the bar, and the servers had turned over. The new bartender/server also ignored us. He finally acknowledged our existence when we asked for the check. Of course the bill was incorrect and included extra items that we did not order. We left and went to the receptionist to get parking validation. Apparently the free parking is only 2 hours free, we were there for a little more than 2 hours. So, we paid the extra cost and left. That area of Renton is super cute. Unfortunately, we wont return because we can find similar offerings in the area with free parking and better service. read more

I hosted a baby shower brunch at Water's Table on July 26th at 11:30 AM with my daughter Christina, and the entire experience was nothing short of outstanding. I first reached out on April 12th with a few possible dates and an estimated guest count of 15-18. I received an immediate reply the next morning from Rob Miller, who guided me through every step of the planning process with professionalism, warmth, and clarity.Although the initial information focused on their private dining room, Rob worked closely with me after our conversation to secure the patio instead. A perfect choice for a July shower, especially since the indoor rooms didn't have windows. He made sure I could personalize the table arrangements to reflect my daughter in law's personality, include a small gift table, and offer an open menu for our guests. Communication was seamless, and I was able to update the guest count right up until the week of the event. All forms were easy to complete and sent exactly when expected.On the day of the shower, the patio table was set beautifully, exactly as promised. Our servers, Becky and Madison (a trainee), were exceptional. Their service was warm, attentive, and highly professional. The food, including the mocktails and brunch beverages, was absolutely delicious, truly perfection. Came here on a Saturday Evening with my Mom. It was my first time here and I had an amazing first-time experience. Although we sat at the bar, we still got to have a very nice view of Lake Washington, which certainly went a long way. Overall noise wasn't too bad. Sure, some conversations got loud, but it's Saturday, the World Cup is going on and everyone is just enjoying their weekend. While loud, it wasn't disruptive. Bartender serving us was very attentive and provided most wonderful service this evening. She was very kind and while social, still tended to guests accordingly and swiftly, which was also appreciated. The Pork Chop and the Salmon were wonderful, savory and tasted great! But the Fries really took it home and were very filling. Hope to come back for more in the future! read more

I visited Water's Table twice this past weekend while staying at the Hyatt Regency - Lake Washington, both times were an impeccable experience! The outdoor dining set up is wonderful, with a great view of the water, passing boats, and sunsets. We had the burrata, shrimp linguini with chicken, brandt prime burger, skillet cookie, and several cocktails. Everything was SO delicious and beautifully presented! The service was great on both occasions, but a special shoutout to Manny who turned our night around after a poor service experience elsewhere, thank you Manny! We came here around 5:30 PM on a Friday. We sat by the window and enjoyed the view very much! We had the Fish & Chips, Risotto, and Truffle Mac & Cheese. All were delicious. Our server was very attentive and efficient in serving our dishes. Parking was validated for the garage. I had difficulty scanning the QR code when entering the restaurant, but the front desk staff easily took care of the validation when I exited the hotel by having me provide my license plate number. read more

Been here three times but this third time ruined it for me. Came on a weekday morning at like 10am. Waited an hour for our food and only got half the order, apparently there was a table of 20 that came order us but wasn't sat. No heads up and no warning. Our waiter didn't even come check in with us for 20 mins. I had to flag him down and he didn't even know till they were all sat. Their only saving grace was they comped us on the meal and drinks. My other experiences, one in the evening and another for brunch on the weekends was not like this. Thats why they got two stars, we ended up leaving without half our meal. Sad experience ruined our last summer date. Edit: two weeks later and im still mad about it so Im giving it one star. Stunning views of Lake Washington paired with a. Pretty eclectic menu. They were out of the smoked salmon so we opted for the manilla clams and the fries chicken and French toast. Tha manilla clams were a bit under slated but perfectly cooked. The bread was a bit over charted but when asked they provided another slice for us to gobble up the garlic and juices. The chicken thigh was hammered out coated in a crisp coating, not greasy. There was some sort of orange butter on the chicken but it could probably be skipped as I wasn't sure if it provided anything to the dish. The portion on the chicken is VERY generous as the 2 large chicken piece are accompanied by 5 pieces of french toast. Service was really nice and the space is open and inviting. Great place to stop on the way to or from SeaTac and the offer complimentary 2 hr parking as they are located in the Hyatt Regency. read more

Ambiance and service rate high for me at almost 10. The food, however, left me wanting to stop and get something to eat on the way home. I ordered a salad (which was not fresh) that looked like a kids size portion for $14 with a piece of chicken on it, which cost another $14. So almost $30. I asked for bread, which is usually complimentary at this style of restaurant... another $14 for bread and butter. Quality and prices are mismatched in my opinion. It's not clear to me how the Southport development is really doing economically, but this restaurant is still legit being inside the Hyatt and with spectacular views for this area. Parking has been modernized with the plate readers and QR code, though initial registration can be a little annoying. Food is great and I'm confident that the drinks here are decent as well - all the right pieces are in place. It's just highly unlikely I'd ever do business or a HH down in Renton. Service was outstanding - from our waitress to some of the runners and bus boys. They get it. read more

We loved this hotel's hospitality, beautiful location, and relaxing atmosphere. The setting overlooking Lake Washington is one of the main reasons we would gladly return. Our only disappointment was our brunch experience. We arrived around 1:00 p.m. after arranging a late checkout. Although we noticed more than 20 empty tables in the restaurant, the hostess told us that no tables were available, so we were seated at the bar instead. We still enjoyed the beautiful lake view, but the way the message was delivered didn't sit well with my husband. What made the situation even more confusing was that during the entire time we had brunch, from about 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., only one of those empty tables was occupied. The rest remained empty the whole time, making it difficult to understand why we couldn't be seated at a table. For brunch, I ordered the avocado sandwich, and my husband ordered a traditional breakfast. The prices were reasonable, but my avocado sandwich was underwhelming. It had all the basic ingredients, but it was missing the balsamic vinegar drizzle that would have added much-needed flavor. Overall, we were not very impressed with the food or the restaurant service. Despite that experience, the hotel's stunning location, relaxing ambiance, and overall hospitality made our stay enjoyable, and we look forward to returning. read more

Six years later and Water's Table deserves an update - but still remains 5 stars! My original review was just for their HH, but I've been for brunch several times since then. My most recent brunch experience was for after my sister's high school graduation. I was tasked with finding the brunch spot for the family to celebrate at (as per usual) and Water's Table immediately came to mind for their stellar menu, gorgeous views of Lake Washington, and let's not forget... BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. My family was wowed by the view and everybody was happy with their food, which I wasn't surprised by. I had to call and make a reservation as you can't make a reservation for parties larger than 6 online, and they were happy to accomodate. Gratuity is automatically added for a group that size, just fyi. Our waitress was awesome and very personable the entire time during our visit. I will say this isn't the best spot to take kids because their kid's offerings are abysmal, but my son wanted the order of their Ricotta Pancakes. WAY too freakin' big for him as it's a regular adult entree, but he was happy with the amount of powdered sugar on top. My husband went with their fried chicken and french toast which was a BEHEMOTH of a dish. Absolute unit of a portion. It was topped with a spicy butter and I'm not sure how, but he finished the ENTIRE PLATE. So, that should tell you how it tasted. I went with the Crab Benedict and was a little surprised that it was actually a Crab CAKE Benedict, and not with lump crab like I expected (my dad assumed the same). After we altered our expectations we both agreed that it was good. Other table items included the Croque Madame and Three Little Pigs Scramble, all of which was also enjoyed. And remember how I said bottomless mimosas? You read that right! One mimosa is $12 and bottomless is $22 (if I'm remembering correctly) so I mean... Let the girl math do the talking here. It just makes sense. They have four flavors: cranberry, orange, grapefruit, and pineapple. Pineapple was my favorite - and they do not skimp on the champs. I am sitting at the old familiar bar thinking about the years I used to be a regular. I can't call myself that any longer and no longer can recognize most of the staff. My "Cheers" moment has long since passed with only a handful of people recalling me. The paper menus are an artifact of the past now replaced with tablets. It is a nice touch since it allows them to update the menu with fluidity. The happy hour menu is forgettable - a handful of uninteresting appetizers mostly - but the brunch and lunch menus both are fantastic. The dinner menu changes the most frequently and is the most expensive. I still cringe at the price of their burgers - they are extraordinarily expensive for the area and on par with the finest dining in Seattle and Bellevue without any of the other fine dining features. I still find myself ordering it from time to time because Water's Table is conveniently located. Brunch is where Water's Table shines. They have a great selection covering all the sweet and savory options. You can't find a better brunch in Renton. I also really love their lunch menu too - the BLT is fantastic on a thick sourdough bread, perfectly cooked bacon, and perfectly sliced tomatoes. They have a great aioli on it that gives it a kick. Their cocktails all depends on the bartender. I see many new faces behind the bar and rarely the same person twice. Their mocktails are fantastic provided you have a sweet tooth. I love to see they're expanding in this area but would love them to explore more balanced mocktails. read more

We came in 12pm on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy at all. The service was great, our server he was friendly and attentive to everyone. My favorite was the clams, I liked the sauce it was cooked in. Not too buttery, still light and flavorful. I like the bread they served with the clams. The fried halibut is cooked well. The steak was also cooked decent. But overall the food here is 7/10 for me personally. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tacos, it was lacking flavor. The sauce for the tacos was a bit bland as well. I think this spot is great for views of the lake and just to catch up with friends or a little simple date with your partner! I'd definitely do a summer time sunset dinner here though, I'm a local to the area and the sunset here is gorgeoussss. read more

It has been years since we last visited. Years ago, I remember the place being bright with a neutral color theme and the food quality was just okay. Coming back, its dimly lit, they have iPads for menus, the place is a bit quiet, and the food tastes much better. We ordered the pork chop and salmon. Our friends ordered the linguini and salmon. Our friends noted the food was great. My pork chop was juicy. The husband's salmon wasnt dry at all and had good flavor. We also ordered the Grain Salad as an appetizer. We mostly finished our main dishes, but boxed the Grain Salad to finish for another day. The waitress who tended to us left us alone for the majority of the time and came to us when we needed to order, question the food/check up on us, and when we were ready to go. Parking is the only big con but i will not put that against the restaurant. There is a $0.99 service charge fee on top of the free 2 hour parking. We were about 20 minutes late of the 2 hours and were charged about $4 for it. Overall, I recommend Water's Table. Just keep in mind of the parking garage fee. There is side parking available alongside the hotel and apartment complex next door, but it is very limited. read more

First when we came we didn't know where to enter, there's was a sign on the side of Hyatt building, that had waters table logo, so we assumed we enter through there, turns out that is the wrong area to enter from. We had to re enter from the actually Hyatt building, from there it was easy to locate. When we got to the line, the couple in front of us didn't have a reservation, we had a reservation. We got seated in the very back while the couple w/o the reservation got seated in the very front, with a perfect view. The couple behind us in line even got a good spot to sit in. They both got their drinks served while we didn't get a drinks menu or options. I've never been to a restaurant where drinks weren't asked! I was sitted at such a bad area, right by the loud fan, at my anniversary dinner smh but she did turn it off when we asked her too. But i did have a sweet server that tried to help me out, she even offered in the middle of our dinner to be seated in a nicer area, but once the server asked the hostess if we can sit in that area she gave me such a bad vibe, she didn't let because she pulled the server off to the side. I assumed she didn't let us move so i just told her I'll just move my seat so the sun is not directly in my face. The food was mid, the wait was super long. I've been to many fancy spots and this one just does not do it for me sadly. Just cause i had a bad experience does not mean others will but i still feel hurt that on my anniversary dinner i experienced this. The Mother's Day brunch was a epic fail except for the omelette. No prime rib roast, that when I knew it would be a problem.The crab claws were chewy and not cleaned properly. My husband loves crab claws !! The shrimp was cold but had ice formed on them so when you go eat them you'd bite a piece of ice! The desserts were limited. The ham was cold and we both didn't eat any. The potatoes and peppers were unfalvoed and had been out for awhile. The cook asked them to put out more but they didn't while I waited. Came here for Mother's day brunch which was okay but very overly priced, especially if you have dietary restrictions. For $75 a person they didn't even offer specialty drinks like lattes and only said you could get drip coffee, juice or tea which was annoying! And to top it off they added an 18% service charge for 2 people + tax on top of that and had the audacity to ask for additional tip when the service was super slow and mediocre! I was wondering why our server never checked in on us or even asked us for drinks until we looked for him and it makes sense now since they already have such a high service charge added to your bill, so beware! My husband is a Globalist and we travel all the time and we're not impressed with this Hyatt location or the quality of the food offered. The dining room itself is also very small with a covered sun room area and a regular area overlooking the lake view. The buffet options were your usual omelette station, with an assortment of sweets and sides with some seafood options as well. We had a fantastic brunch and we were motivated to go here for brunch because they offered a super awesome pop up event: The Brunch of a Showgirl, featuring a DJ on site playing all our Taylor Swift favorites! I am totally impressed that this hotel brand would step outside what seems to be its sometimes too professional comfort zone to host such a fantastic event!! The staff were wonderful from front desk to hosts to servers and staff, with great joyful attitudes to top notch service. We ordered a kid's pancakes with a side of bacon; chicken and waffles; and poached eggs with pork belly and hollandaise (much of these items--but not all--from their speciality menu) plus an orange juice, an apple juice and someone had a nice spicy Bloody Mary at the table! There was a booth for getting permanent jewelry, bracelet making and a lovely photo backdrop by the restaurant entrance. And you can't beat the view of the lake! My cherished chef friend and his daughter, were celebrating her graduation from college. They live in the Renton area, so I invited them for a celebratory dinner. First, we chose to eat outside. Lovely waterfront views. Warm summer night, cool breezes and a waterfront view. This inspires seafood, of course. Helpful staff and a view table. We started out with their bread service, little neck clams and calamari. This is a celebration dinner, so no expense spared. Lovely sweet little neck clams. Crispy, yet not overdone calamari. The clam shallot/ butter sauce complemented the sweetness of the clams. Calamari was nicely cooked, with a Remoulade | Lemon sauce. Next, We all had the wedge salad, with Bacon Bits | Smoked Blue Cheese Crumble | Tomato | Crouton out of nostalgia. It was really good, with all of the accompanying ingredients. More of a main dish salad, with the hearty ingredients. For a smaller appetite, you could have all of these and be full . We all as a group decided to get the variety meats of the Butcher's Block. This had 11oz Prime New York | 14oz Rib Eye | 8oz Coulotte Marrow Bone | 2 Sides | 4 Butters. Such a great combination. The prime rib was soft and tender. The rib eye stole the show, with its tenderness and flavor. The marrow was intense and incredibly flavorful. We had potato puree and asparagus as sides. Both flavorful and not over sauced. I'm more inclined to go with potato puree, as it is more difficult to accomplish. We also ordered the bread service. Putting marrow, rib eye and the butters that came with it; Blue Cheese Butter | Steak Butter | Peppercorn Butter | Chimichurri Butter | Maitre De Butter | Black Garlic Butter on bread, was one of my favorite bites. I'm not a blue cheese fan, but the other butters accentuated the meat very well. I think the butters raised the deliciousness of the meat, by adding moisture and spice. The service was somewhat attentive, they checked in with us only once. My chef friend grumbled about wanting better quality meat, more attentive service and the high prices for our food and service. We chose the Paris Brûlée, dessert with Mango Crème Brulee | Mango Compote White Chocolate Raspberry Soil | Raspberry Whip | Raspberry Gel. This was a refreshing and light end to dinner, as we were full. Unfortunately, service was absent. Limited to just dropping off food and not checking in. We wanted to order more food, however no one was available to help us. For our dinner, we spent about 700.00 for three people. For the price, the food and service were lacking in quality. I went with my boyfriend to try this restaurant since we have heard great reviews. Unfortunately when we went it, our expectations were set high and were not met. Our server did not great us with a welcoming smile. she had taken awhile to get us our drinks and also come back to even just take our orders after. After getting our food, my boyfriend and i weren't big fans of the food as much but that's more of a personal preference. Main issue was the service and not feeling like i wanted to be there. We kept waiting and looking for our server to only find them behind the bar. I arrived in Renton Super late (eastern time 11:00pm) and was super hungry. We stayed at the Hyatt and I was happy to see that this restaurant was available on site. I showered and went downstairs but unfortunately you had to have a reservation. I took the first available which was 9:30pm (pacific standard) and was blown away by the amazing view of Lake Renton!
