Stopped in here one weekend night for outdoor dining. The people who worked there were very friendly and moved the heater closer to us. My partner had the famous grilled cheese and tomato soup, I had the BLT pizza fold, and we shared a cinnamon pretzel appetizer from the Lake City German bakery. I came here with a couple friends for a double date night on a Friday night, while a big Basketball game was on. So needless to say, it was pretty busy. We waited about 25 minutes for a table, and managed to get one in the upstairs portion of the restaurant, which had a handful of tables and a large TV to watch sports. Our server promptly introduced herself and we ordered rounds of beers. They have an extensive selection of draft beers, and canned beers, and a minimal selection of cocktails. This felt like a beer place, so that's what I opted for. They have a pretty basic menu, but are known for their pizzas (full and half folds) and their mac&cheese. I got their bacon & mama's mac n' cheese and loved it! It was not too cheesy, and there was a generous portion of bacon and mama's lil peppers. The rest of table seemed to enjoy their pizza and pizza folds - fyi a pizza fold is just a slice/or couple of slices folded into half (real genius...). Overall, I'd come back here if I found myself in Northgate and in need of food. The service was the real star of this place! Worth a visit if you are in the area. read more

This was such a great well welcomed meal. I have been traveling for about 2 weeks and honestly, not eating the best. I was staying near here and looked like it had some good vegetarian options. I had a hefty work expense budget so I went overboard, but had leftovers for breakfast! I ordered the award winning grilled cheese with tomato soup and a side Caesar salad. The grilled cheese was nothing short of perfect. Excellent tasty beer bread, perfect grilling on the crust and caramelized onions with a perfect balance of everything. Dipped it in my tomato soup and was in childhood heaven. The Caesar salad came with dressing on the side and a wedge of lemon. The dressing was very garlicky, but perfect for me and my buddy Tums. Squeeze that lemon and again, heaven. And since I had the hefty expense budget, I had to also get the carrot cake. Not too sweet except for the nuts on top. The cake was insanely moist and packed with carrots and a perfect amount of spices. I will be back for work soon, and this will be my first meal. read more

However they do a lot of events, give back to the community & use local products and ingredients. So I get that it all adds up. This place is a great little local pub with really nice staff, easy parking, quick service, good drinks and a comfortable enough environment. It you want a decent meal, it's a good place to go. I'd like to give it 3.5 stars but that is not an option so here I am. What I love: My husband craves the BLT Fold, I like the Pozole that they do for brunch. The drinks are always super good. What I don't love: It's not the most comfortable seating. It's often pretty loud in there too. I wish they had more options that aren't so bread-y. There are a few salads and things but I don't think they're that good so I go for a fold. They also screw up my order about half the time which is a bummer. SO there it is. read more

The pros: this place has a decent happy hour and parking is super easy. It's also near the Thornton theatre if you have a movie to catch. The wine and beer selection is also good, and some of the cocktails are made with local liquors, like 2Bar. Cons: The food I had was fine, but not fantastic. The tomato soup was definitely good, but the "award winning grilled cheese" was certainly not award winning. There was hardly any cheese in it and I definitely could have made a better one at home. Met a friend for a drink and dinner and should have gone to the first place we thought of. Lightest pour for an $9 glass of wine I have ever experienced. Ordered the Mac and Cheese and, honestly, would have had a better meal making a box of Annie's. For sure it would be warmer. My fiance and I went to Watershed to grab a beer before catching a movie. The inside of this place is cool and pretty eclectic and there's a good crowd mix here. Some families, some people on dates, and some guys hanging out. I felt comfortable here and the atmosphere was nice. It looks like Watershed specializes in pizzas and other related bites - and they definitely are fans of beer and whiskey. This place has a shit ton of whiskeys to choose from! I'm not really a whiskey sipper, but for people who are, this could be heaven. They also have a ton of craft beers - seasonal and otherwise. Unfortunately the ones that sounded good to me were out of stock or out of season. I ended up randomly choosing one and didn't really like it, but gulped it down anyways. The bartenders kind of ignore you here. We had at least five people behind the bar passing us for a good five minutes before we were actually approached and asked what we wanted. The bartender was nice, but you could tell he only approached us because one of the others didn't for quite some time. I guess if I was in the area again I would be willing to try out their food, but I wasn't really blown away by the Watershed at all. read more

Came here for quick dinner before a concert with friends and so glad we did ! We tried the Barbie drinks, watermelon bubblegum something. The bartenders were really sweet and made some strawberry margaritas for us, too. Everyone seemed like they were having a good time. It was my first time here. Tip: don't order the turkey white bean salad. It's nasty consistency and bad flavor. It needs some kind of crunch and the arugula was soggy in the dressing. I ate about two bites. Waitress asked if i wanted a box, so i told her I didn't care for it. She didn't really say much, except "OK". I was surprised she left it on the bill. To me, that's a sign of a crummy restaurant. A really well managed restaurant would automatically take it off the bill, no matter whether you complain or not. Food was slow, BLT pizza fold was dry. Also, waitress asked kids if they wanted refills on their sodas, which of course they did, and then charged for them! That's not a refill, that's a new soda. Not impressed. I've been to Watershed several times now, and I've had a great experience each time. Their food is solid, and the service is excellent. They have a children's menu, and serve slices at lunch during the week. I had the pie fold, and the crust is crunchy and flavorful. A simple question about a menu item was met with an exasperated sigh followed by a condescending answer. Myself and four friends got accused of having fake IDs 15 minutes after our drink and food ordered was place. Be so proud of you server who worked up the courage and expressed herself while out of breath that she was "95% sure that our IDs were fake and that we usually confiscate them." She should have placed her bet on the 5% because she was 0/4. Have a better way of checking IDs and training your staff on identifying a "fake". Next time I'll call the police to prove more than needed and provide my passport, but by that time, again, you've lost my service. The food is pretty good but the portions are so small for the price you pay. It's hard to believe Yelp has the business listed as only 2 dollar signs; everything seems to be quite expensive. I ordered a cup of tomato soup and the buffalo cauliflower. I can give a pass to the soup since it's a literal measurement, although it wasn't full. But the cauliflower came in a tiny cup too. For $8 and such a cheap vegetable I'd expect a little more. I wouldn't order it again. read more

The service is terrible. I've sat in the dining room and patio before so I figured maybe the bar would be better. Wrong! I got my drink order taken before I'd been sitting there for 20 mins unlike the other times, but then my food sat in the window as I watched it for 20 mins. I tried to get the bartenders attention multiple times to ask... but to no avail. I finally asked a passing waiter and sure enough, it was mine. I didn't even want it after that. It was not even half full. The hostess was chatting up someone at the bar and had a line of customers waiting. Super cute place with potential, but when the food and drinks are just ok, you need solid service staff. read more

A brand-new place in an area that barely has enough old places. Very nice to see it here. It's a serious beer bar that you can visit strictly for the food or just to relax. They deliver for the beer geek and they deliver for the locals and passersby as well. This is brand-new construction, and will probably always seem like "the new buildings" to me. Northgate had plodded along forever with lots of empty space around it, and even after they added the transit center it seemed to take a while to pick up speed. Now there are multiple movie screens and hundreds of apartments and condos right around here, and the new density of development gives the area a hustle and bustle that hadn't been here in my lifetime. This mall was something of a hub back when shopping malls were the new thing decades ago, but in the 80s and 90s and 00s, these blocks were crying out for some development. For once, people came in and built a bunch of necessary, high-density stuff without steamrolling something historical and cool. And the result of all this work is a space that can keep something like Watershed humming with activity. Make no mistake about it, though. This is not just a thrown-together "concept" place contrived to take advantage of some high-visibility real estate. Veterans of the beer industry built this place, and they built it to cultivate discerning regulars, along with succeeding among the locals. I keep harping on the development, but there were never multiple floors of apartments full of people right here before, so there's the potential for a ton of foot traffic here. Makes it easier to think this place can stay viable for quite a while. You will definitely notice when you get here that everything is new. Shiny new concrete ramps and steps outside, big new wooden door with fancy metalwork, brand-new interior that looks no younger than the exterior. There are rows of tables and then there are rows of stools at the bar. Not a huge space, but there are two full walls of floor to ceiling glass, so everything feels bright and airy. The staff are super nice. They're because they know what they're doing and they love it, rather than just flirt with customers and make tips. But they're friendly and fun, too, so it's kinda the best of both worlds. The menu runs to pub grub, with lots of burgers and sandwiches and pizzas. They also have pizza folds, or pie folds, which are calzones that are open on the edge rather than crimped together. I had one of those, and it was damn fine. My boy C had a Caesar salad, which looked really good, and a side of toasted bread, which was OK. The focus here is not exclusively on beer, but they certainly do focus knowledge and effort on the taps. There are about 20 of them, along with I think at least some wines. The taps range from dependable stuff most people might like up to some really interesting specialty items. They had just finished an imperial stout festival when we came in--"Black and Brew." 15 imperial stouts pouring. That's definitely a specialty item not aimed at the casual interloper, and they got some really nice kegs to showcase for it. It's a small space, so many of them were still pouring by the time we got there. Prices here are pretty fair, and they pour a proper beer through clean lines into correct glassware. I really dig what they're up to. Rumor has it they do some very nice beer pairing dinners as well. I remember coming here when it first opened, I think we came the second day it was open. Service was hella slow but the food was good and the staff was warm and friendly. The menu was very limited but they had a ton of delicious beers and cider on tap. I waited a while before coming back (about 2 months)... Wow they really improved. The menu doubled in size with appetizers, salads, pie folds, and of course pizza. They also had an extensive drink and beer menu, as well as a happy hour menu. I liked that the beer menu was so detailed. It listed the beer, where it is from, if it's on draft or not and the alcohol percentage content. My love ordered the Nitro IPA and I opted for the Seabreeze Happy Cider. The Nitro was very flavorful and had nice warm fruity flavors. I loved my cider, not too sweet and very refreshing. We started with the Everything Plate for an appetizer. This was a charcuterie plate that consisted of two cheeses and two meats served with preserves, fruit nuts and baguette slices. They gave you a VERY generous portion of everything. Our plate had a Gouda cheese and a Rogue blue cheese. The Gouda was okay but the Rogue was delicious. There was also the most delicious hot coppa and prosciutto. I found the strawberry preserves, strawberries and grapes served with the plate were a bit random. The grapes were went well with everything but the preserves were a bit too sweet and the strawberries did not go well with the plate not to mention they seemed a little mushy and wrinkly. The baguette slices were hella dry but the candied walnuts were delicious. Definitely not the worst Charcuterie plate I've ever had but I probably wouldn't get this again. I think it would've been better if it was served with a delicious butter or some good olive oil and balsamic. Oh and better bread! The bread was really really dry. We ordered the Caesar Salad and The Ricotta Salsiccia with pesto instead of red sauce. Hands down one of the BEST Caesar Salads I have ever had. The dressing was sooo light and fresh but full of flavor. It went perfectly with our pizza which was freaking delicious! First off the pizza was HUGE, they only come in one size here. The pizza was wonderful. The ingredients were extremely fresh and bursting with flavor. I was glad we opted for the pesto instead of the red sauce, it just went perfectly with the ricotta in the pizza. The crust was perfect! Not too thin but chewy and crisp. Sooo delicious!! They should make breadsticks out of this dough! All in all it was an excellent meal and we had a great time. Service is still very warm and friendly but also a lot faster than how it was when it first opened. The food and drinks were fantastic, sure the charcuterie plate could've been better but everything else was basically perfect. I loved how roomy and clean the restaurant was too. Great ambiance, a couple more tvs wouldn't hurt though. I can see myself watching many football games here. I read some reviews about it being too expensive here which kinda boggles my mind. For the quality ingredients and generous portions you get with the food here, it is extremely affordable. For a pizza that size and quality you would definitely be spending more than $21 at a lot of other places in Seattle. The salad we ordered was HUGE too and it could have easily fed 3-4 people, a steal for $8! Good Service, Great Food and affordable. I really wanted to like this place but the everything about the Watershed Pub is so darn forgettable. They do have a lot of seating and provide beer and food if you need those things in a pinch. They are also conveniently located near the Regal movie theater. The main caveat with eating at Watershed Pub is the super slow service. Went here on a Sunday night. They are really nice but seem to be understaffed. The server forgot to fill our water and basically never asked if the table needed anything after the food was served. The food was satisfactory but so average that it will be hard to remember what I ate a few days down the line. I had a pizza with pesto chicken and it was clearly made from pesto out of a jar. The crust wasn't entirely cooked but nothing too bothersome. So in summation, Watershed is a solid 'meh' read more

Such good food. But for me, terrible service. I came in about 12:30 from the rapid transit from Downtown. The handsome host with blue eyes, was quick to welcome me and seat me. I was starving and patiently waited for my waitress. Unfortunately, she refused to acknowledge me and instead focused on a different table. There was a table of four men, all unconcerned about placing an order. I sat for 20 minutes waiting, pretty hungry. My waitress, Thedra did not acknowledge me in any way. In Food order, if their order comes before mine, there will be an extended wait for their food order to be completed before mine. Sensing a time dilema, I go up to the bar and plead for service from my handsome host. He first redirected me to my server, but takes my order before the onimious four customer table order. A killer hot toddy arrives after 10 minutes p. Then my chicken Marsala with polenta The food is great, but the action of having to beg for service kills the happiness vibe of this place. My handsome host checks in with me, Miss Thedra ignores me. I wanted an additional order of wine, Miss Thedra ignores me for the additional 20 minutes I remain at the table. Anything "famous" such as their pretzel is merely a marketing technique to lure foodies and pretzel lovers to their restaurant, only to become severely disappointments. The Watershed is such a treat. In the middle of the ever crowded shrinking urban spaces this place is roomy and comfortable, modern, yet its theme doesn't yell at you. I love the materials and to me, it's so cool to see real wood! Maybe that's a Pacific Northwest thing? The tables are made of it, the chairs and doors, and big slab cuts of it adorn the place, but not overly. It's got a new Northwest aesthetic with a tip of the hat to tradition. There's a spacious public patio just out the front door and ample parking in the garage. This is a big one for me! I love the city but parking can and often is an expensive pain. The owners are super friendly and gracious hosts. We held an event there in the loft area where we had around 30 attendees and we ordered a variety of their pizza's and salads for lunch. By the way, I totally enjoyed their pizzas... They aren't the great big heavy greasy (a ton of fake cheese) chain pizzas. They're light and each is handcrafted and I really liked the Mama's, Roma, Finocchiona, and the Ricotta Salsiccia. It was a real treat to sample several. They all have a really nice balance of different textures and flavors and the crust is divine.
