The issue wasn't the weather. The issue was the lack of communication. A mobile car wash business deals with weather every day. A simple message before the scheduled appointment time would have avoided wasting a potential future lifelong customer's time as this was our first appointment. After I explained that my concern was the lack of communication, I received an "understand" response, but no apology for the lack of notice or communication. As I'm writing this review almost two hours after the appointment time, it still has not rained at the service location. Communication matters.

I was looking for a place that had self service and automatic because I wanted to get the biggest globs of muck off with the foaming brush and high-pressure spray. Porter Car Wash was perfect for both. The self-service bay worked perfectly. They even took my credit card instead of making me rummage around for quarters. I got the worst of the mud off and made the car looking decent with one swipe of my credit card. Step 2 was to go to the automatic wash and have it get the rest of the residue off and run it through the dryer. I opted for the $10 wash. The owner was hanging out and watched my car go through the cycle. When I was finished he said the wax did not properly dispense on that side and invited me to go to the other bay and he would run me through again on his dime where the wax would work. I really appreciated his wanting my car to be right. I don't know what it is with somebody who gave them a really bad rating but I found the place to be clean, everything in working order and well serviced by staff. Before the incident, I had previously expressed concerns regarding one of the large spinning brushes because it appeared to operate aggressively. Those concerns went unaddressed. Several weeks ago, that same wash equipment struck and broke the passenger-side mirror on my 2003 Ford F-150. I immediately reported the damage and completed an incident report. Since then, I have spent weeks trying to obtain a resolution. Despite multiple follow-up attempts, visits to the location, and phone calls, I have received very little communication and no final resolution. The lack of responsiveness and customer service has been frustrating, especially considering I have been a paying member and was only requesting approximately $60 to replace the damaged mirror. I understand that accidents happen, but what truly disappoints me is how difficult it has been to receive a timely response and a fair resolution. I expected much better treatment from a company of this size and from a business that values customer loyalty. Based on my experience, I can no longer recommend this location.
