My car had just been smashed in a hit & run, so had to go to the body shop. Meanwhile, my Mom's old car had stopped running and needed to be towed for repairs. Caring for a cancer patient at home, by myself, I was really worried about how to get through everything. Naturally, I called AAA - that's what I pay them for, right? But $400 for a 28-mile tow?! And my insurance co.'s roadside asstc. quote was even higher! I got a detailed breakdown of all needed repairs along with the cost, and I was offered various ways payments could be made. They gave me a time frame of how long my vehicle would be at the shop, which seemed a bit long at first but there was a lot of work to be done and parts needed to be ordered so that's fair. They finished early which was wonderful! It's been a few weeks since my vehicle was repaired, and I feel like an excellent job was done as not only are my former issues gone but there are no new sounds or squeaks as have happened previously with other shops. Everyone I spoke with was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I definitely will use Safe Auto Repair for future repairs and will recommend them as they were recommended to me.

They are careful not to waste your time and money. They fix what is needed. They do the job right the first time and don't upsell! The 3 things they fixed on my car were all sins committed by other shops and dealers. G&S fixed it for 1/4 the price the dealer wanted just to look at it. It was a bunch of annoying noises that worried me. When G&S looked at it, they found that another local shop failed to reattach a shock absorber during a prior repair! Yikes. G&S did so well on my car that I asked if they could send a mechanic out to replace a couple of dead batteries in my RV. OMG ... They do local emergency road service too! The dead batteries in my RV were caused by a Cummins shop certified in motorhomes. During that repair, the Cummins shop failed to turn off the battery cut offs. I called to remind them. I wrote a note on the work order. Despite being told exactly what to do, they repeatedly failed to turn them off everyday over 7 days. If you take a battery to 0V too many times, it's a paperweight. G&S came out and replaced dead batteries in my RV and they were 30% less than the next nearest mechanic! Both vehicles are running fantastic! Okay ... I cannot say enough good things about these folks. Honestly, bringing my cars to G&S is the first time I felt a Texas auto shop was straight with me.

The repairs totaled IMHO more than the vehicle is worth, BRANDON was wonderful! My grandmother did decide against repairs to forgo a more reliable vehicle. Although I do believe ALL automotive care is inflated. The vehicle KBB is $3,440; two separate unrelated repairs were quoted at $2700, unless something came up during repair then it would obviously go up. We called orielly & autozone and asked the price of the parts for the $1000 repair and ALL parts, grease, tool were $248.12 with tax! $750 for 2 hours labor- you tell me if they are inflated or not. Happy repairs my peeps!
