Service. Went to Steveston Fisherman's market yesterday, looked pretty at the entrance and went in. An Asian guy ordered coffee for us, with a blank face and no expression. When I asked him for two cups of hot water, he charged me 1.05 dollars, which was unbelievable. I still can't believe it. Coffee stores must be supposed to provide hot water for free. Environment. My friend wanted to take some pictures and the clerk rushed over and said no, I've been watching you for a long time. There's no sign in the store that says u're not allowed to take photos. Produce. The Iced Americano was very bland in flavor and not as good as the one I made at home. The espresso was richer in fat. The cappuccino was not sweet at all. I can't understand how a chain coffee shop in North America can provide such poor service and products.

A large coffee shop in Steveston! With a patio and a big indoor dining room. The menu includes coffees, teas, hot chocolate (in white, milk and dark chocolate!), and various pastries and desserts. Steps away from the wharf, it's a great pit stop for tourists and locals alike.

One of several coffee shops in the Steveston Village area. Parking is plentiful on the streets. The building looks quite new. Interior is very spacious. Should be a great place to hang out once this whole virus thing blows over. There is also a nice patio in front. The location faces S though, so it does mean one gets a face full of sun by the windows. Staff were friendly. My coffee tasted great.

NEXT door to Waves is this cafe who didn't have a decaf...so we went to WAVES to find one !

Is this a national 'chain' coffee shop ? Not 'knowing', and having been rebuffed at the 'local' , i.e. NOT national brand next door, a cafe, who said 'we don't have decaf'...... Dropped into waves steveston, marketing themselves as a full on coffee 'specialist'. Our bad. There are SO MANY, we knew we didn't want starbux, there was a Blenz down the road etc...but we.?..not really experts in this area.....chose WAVES. SIMPLE REQUEST. COFFEE SHOP. NATIONAL BRAND. One decaf please. Can I get y'all a mocca? No thank you, just a plain old de caf please. How about a cappachino? Again, no thanx, a simple plain decaf will do nicely. Sorry, my machine can only do decaf for those two choices. My wife didn't want a sweet drink, no chocolaty confection coffee, so given a choice of those two..... Having been turned away 10 mins earlier next door.... Accepted the latter. Mistake.... It was a creamy hot 'coffee like' beverage where one couldn't detect the coffee! Apparently it was caffeine free, and from a machine where the server pressed a button, and the 3 dollar beverage came out. Not even a pour over or a barista made , but three bucks for this! 1$t and la$t time . The 1st pic is the cafe next to waves where NO decaf available. Then the pic of waves, where u can buy machine made creamy sugary beverages bearing little resemblance to the simple request of ' decaf coffee ' pls.

Although a franchised coffee shop, this Waves is very spacious situated in beautiful Steveston, right across the pier. This location seems to have a playpen area so it'd be parents/kids friendly. Yesterday had a sunny afternoon, though furiously windy, and I felt like reading with a cup of coffee before the weather turns gloomy again (evidently so). I stopped by Steveston and landed here, ordered a cup of Belgian Chocolate Mocha and saw "Churro donut" on the shelf couldn't resist but to order it too. The coffee was nice, I didn't feel it was too commercialized or unnecessarily sweet, a good cup of chocolate x coffee. Honestly I was not expect top-notch donut out of the churro donuts, but it was still a decent snack if you crave something sweet, nice cinnamon taste. It was a nice ambience overall inside when I was sipping my coffee and reading my kindles. If anyone needs a spot to say work on their assignments, have a meeting, or read a book, it's a nice spacious location. It's not super quiet because of the location but then again it's not a library.

very chic and modern coffee house in steveston village. concept is very maritime and proudly canadian! offers various pastries and cakes... we tried the cheesecake and drip coffee... cheesecake was artisan and smooth! tasted really fresh! fresh berries adorn the top. wish they had a bigger piece. lol drip coffee was awesome. perfect partner to the cake. simple afternoon delights!

If you come in the mornings it's quiet and it's just the locals here for a quick coffee and a chat with friends. This morning the Matcha latte was another hit. Dark green and good amounts of Matcha. I like it beat unsweetened for that purer bitter taste. The milk already has natural sugars in it so for me it's perfect. Better than Blenz and 100 x better than Starbucks who seem to have Matcha powder but it's mixed with added sugars and it's not pure. Great morning! Previous review; This is just for the matcha latte. Out of the three between Blenz, Starbucks and Waves. The best is here. Unsweetened unadulterated and more matcha flavour than the others. 2nd is blenz and Starbucks would be 20th. Hah!! If you like matcha, the. It should be without sugar.

Great place to grab a hot latte after perusing the pier for fresh fish to warm up. Wifi capability definitely a plus. Cozy atmosphere and clean restrooms. More than one coffee place in the fisherman's wharf area, but this one fit the bill for me.

The espresso is very good. Service was friendly and they at fast. Way better than blends or Starbucks. Decor is modern. Lots of space if you like to work at a table. Great view of the river and marina across the street. Only thing I could bad I could say was the bathroom was very dirty

Right down the middle on this one. Waves in Steveston gets pretty busy during the day and early evening. It's in a very good spot just across the water from the water, although Starbucks and Blenz are too. Speaking of Starbucks and Blenz, my MacBook can pick up their WiFi when seated by the windows here. But no need, Waves internet is good, and Shaw Open is also very strong here as well. The coffee: good, but somehow, although it's served hot, never stays that way for long. Perhaps the take away cups with lids are the answer. I find their food items on the expensive side, so my wife and I often just share a Nanaimo square etc. One more pet peeve here: some of the tables can be a bit wobbly, and need the old napkin-under-the-leg fix. So irritating when you're trying to work! Overall, I like Waves, and usually come here about 1/2 the time when I go for coffee in Steveston.

I come here quite often. It's a great place to work. Place might get busy at times but it's not a problem. It's my fave Waves branch.

I am a frequent customer at this location. Unfortunately, last night my milk chocolate frappe was garnished with some sort of insect

Terrible coffee. Sour and watery even with milk. The cup is flimsy. The sleeve is thin. The worst coffee place in the area. Period.

super cute and has quite a bit of indoor and patio seating…read more Large menu, I tried the sweet + salty which was French toast with egg + bacon. This was very very good. Perfect French toast and not too sweet. Also had the avocado eggs benedict which was a decent portion size and came with potatoes. There was no wait even on a weekend lunch and food was quick to come out.

Decided to take puppers out and needed a pet friendly patio which the cannery cafe had. Went inside…read moreto get a table and s it was a mon afternoon wasn't too busy. We were informed we could sit anywhere outside. By the pleasant server. We were given the menu and perused what we wanted. I ordered grandma's clam chowder which comes served in a sour dough bun hollowed out. I also ordered waffles with fried chicken. Wifey got the sweet and salty which was French toast with soft poached egg/hollandaise. The waffle I ordered also came with a soft poached egg/hollandaise. For beverages I got a regular coffee and wifey got a lavender latte. The plating was absolutely beautiful for the dishes. My first bite of the waffles and chicken was delightful. The chicken was moist and seasoned well and the waffle was nice and soft. There also was a salad on top which was dressed in a sweet dressing. That was standard as greens go. The clam chowder had a decent amount of large clams in it, the texture and creaminess was good. I did feel the base or soup stock used was a tad light for my liking as I wasn't catching the essence of clam chowder flavor. Other wise it was ok. But filling it you intend to eat the whole bun which I did cuz I love sourdough bread. Wife's french toast was lovely, I had a small taste and to me it was good. Nothing mind blowing but decently good. The hollandaise used to be tasted buttery and legit. The meal on a whole was very good and we love the patio seating. Would definitely come back again.

I wish it was more filled but it added a nice chocolate texture. 6.5/10 * Curry fish ball ($4.99) ~ bomb this was my fav thing here!
