You ever get a little sad that things didn't go your way but know a snack might cheer you up? That's me and their warm pretzels up front, but also their chicken corn chowder soup from the deli. I also promised my kiddo a blue icee and Wawa always delivers. Today two flavors were down, but I'm glad they had the blue and red ones running. I think prices are fine for the icees but they do melt q u i c k. I don't understand how their coffee selection *at night* doesn't include their decaf pot but they usually have 4 to choose from. If I can't get decaf from the self serve area, I might as well order from the screen and get a latte. They do have a special for $2 iced coffees any size, screen ordered only. They also have 2 atm machines with no surcharge. One was down today, but was told there was another. Pretty cool since we didn't know they had two. I recommend downloading the app. You don't have to reload on it anymore, just be sure to scan it before paying to keep earning rewards. Who doesn't like free things? Wawa gas is always competitively priced, but the food at Wawa is where it's at. They have great teas and coffee. And a great big food bar that's really customizable via handy touch screen kiosks. I had a nice latte today, they have oat milk now! It was a buck less than Starbucks and only 25¢ to add the oatmilk!! The baked chicken tenders are a favorite. I got them today with some meatballs. They kindly added extra sauce to the meatballs so I could dip the tendys in there. It was delicious! Downsides are a very busy parking lot, people hogging gas lanes while they go inside, air machine busted, crazy drivers, blocked lanes to get in/out. And there's always lots of trash around outside. This used to be my go-to Wawa, however it has gone downhill drastically. The majority of the employees are slow and are blatant about the lack of care for performing their jobs. If you're ordering food here in the app, IT WILL BE LATE. I've given it plenty of chances and have had multiple different shifts of employees when ordering food, and still haven't been able to get an order made on time at this location. The male manager on duty at 1330ish was speaking very loudly about a female employee being in the restroom. He said that she should have used the restroom during her allotted time. He was talking in a rude and condescending manner about female employees the whole time I was waiting to checkout. Just unprofessional and unnecessary from anyone more less a supervisor. My first choice in coffee other than making my own at home of course,they have a nice variety of coffee options to chose from ( I prefer dark coffee except around the holidays then I chose those flavors). They have made to order breakfast, lunch and dinner options that you order through the kiosk which are conveniently located when you first walk in. I tried stopping in at 915 the evening I drove into town and the doors were locked but all the lights inside were on and no one was inside. There were no signs ( that I saw) that provided about store hours. I returned the next day looking for a sandwich for lunch but the sandwich counter was closed. The selection of pre-made sandwiches was ZERO! When I was checking out I found out that the store had almost every employee diagnosed with COVID so the store was completely closed for a time. I'm a fan of the GasBuddy app that provides information on local gas prices. Wawa is usually a good deal, a penny or two cheaper than others in this part of VB. Obviously, it's not worth going well out of your way to save less than a quarter (if you have a 12 gallon tank) but if you're in the area it is. Nice wide pump area that is covered. We lived in the Philadelpha areas for about 20 years, and we always loved Wawa. Their food section is wonderful!

We came back to have the pepperoni bagel! First, we stopped by Wawa on Holland RD and S. Independence for some coffee and remembered the bagel but they didn't have any.... So, we passed the one on Lynnhaven Rd near Waffle house and theybdidnt have it either! Finally, we came back to the one on Ferrell Pkwy... mission accomplished. Clean, convenient and customer-oriented! My go-to location because it's on my way to or from work. When I stop for gas, I always pop in for coffee or a snack before I go on my way. No matter when I stop in, sometimes around midnight or at the crack of dawn, their variety of coffees is always available and their selection of ready to go foods is well-stocked. If ordering bowls or sandwiches behind counter, order through the app so it'll be ready when you get there for those times you're short on time. They also have alot of deals and specials that rotate around. I love their $1 any size coffee and their Sizzlie deals when they're available. I've always had a liking to Wawa sandwiches ever since I first visited Virginia. It's pretty simple. You go to one of the screens and select what base sandwich that you want, add the condiments, toppings, and take your receipt to the register to pay for it. Then let them do their magic. When I first started coming to Wawa, sandwiches were dirt cheap. If I recall like $3 for a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. They've gone up to the regular $5 since then but they're still worth it. They offer several flavors, latte, cappuccino, cold and hot coffee along with all the additional creamers, hazelnut, vanilla, cinnamon, soy milk, almond milk, raw sugar and more. It's self serve and no seats like Starbucks but much better prices and delicious flavors! I like a shot of their Moca wake up hot coffee added to mine...no one said you can't mix flavors and experiment! This was the finally straw. For the last couple of months when I get a sandwich it is always made wrong. I told myself I wouldn't keep going to this location even though I live by it but my family wanted it for lunch. I ordered a honey turkey sub like I always do. Usually one ingredient is missing but this time It was literally just meat, cheese and a small piece of tomato with globs and globs of Mayo and mustard oozing out it was covered and disgusting. This is our typical stop to fill up before we hit the road home after visiting my best friend. Their gas is usually a lot cheaper then other stations in the area. I love their sandwiches and "grab n' go" selections. The convenience store is very clean, especially the restrooms. The clerks are very efficient and quick even late at night. I always get into the argument with my friends which store is better Wawa or Sheetz? I have to say hands down Sheetz but Wawa does have its share of specialities that I do like. I am a huge fan of their coffee which I tend to get on my way to work when I have no more K cups at my house. They make good sandwiches and are the reason behind my wife's inside jokes. This place is a ghetto. The bathrooms are filthy and disgusting, the door to the toilet hardware is broken. It is really sad that Virginia Beach has a Wawa that is this nasty. The neighborhood it's in it's pretty nice And it's right next to a high dollar grocery store. Im giving this location one star, So I get off work from a 10 hours shift I decided since my potassium is low I will get a sandwich from Wawa with tomatoes on it to help me out a bit more. So I drive 4.8 miles to this Wawa. And after I get home and finally get some energy to even eat the sandwich it's after 1am (my birthday) I open my sandwich and there aren't any TOMATOES on it. What makes me so upset is I avoided going to my local Wawa because I got an error on my sandwich twice and had to open it in the store to make sure it was correct. But anyway the Manager at that location was super quick to fix it and get me out the door. Anywho. Back to this location. I called to speak to a manager named Joy. I tell her I'm extremely upset and I'm not coming back out my house I will come later and bring the sandwich back and I want a refund. She tells me she don't think that's possible, they will remake it! No ma'am. I will write corporate if I must! The level of customer service is just horrid and I won't take it. Also she proceeds to ask what was on the sandwich like she is standing her ground. I work hard for money and if I want a refund that should be the end of it! Period. read more
