What a pleasant surprise on my first visit to Wayback Burgers! A four star rating at any fast food joint is hard to earn, and that had me turning into their parking lot. Way to go, Wayback Burgers. The Classic Burger was exactly that - classic toppings of lettuce, tomato, dill pickles, onions and cheddar cheese on a double patty burger. A solid burger joint that actually makes their own burgers. For my non-burger eater they had chicken tenders which means everyone in the family is happy. The interior was bright and clean with the employees regularly cleaning tables and checking the drink station. I found the music a bit too loud, but that's probably because I'm old It's counter service but if you're dining in, they'll bring the food out to you. This place probably has the best burgers I've had in a while, so good that we actually went twice in the same day. The first time, I ordered the Carolina burger, and my boyfriend created his own and got a strawberry shake. My burger was huge with toppings spilling out. I appreciated that they had a creamy coleslaw instead of a sweet and dry one. My boyfriend enjoyed his but did say that their jalapeños seem to be spicier than the ones you get from a jar. They also forgot his side of barbecue sauce, but that wasn't a major issue. The shake was nice and thick, and I liked that it didn't have random chunks of strawberry throughout. The second time, we ordered via DoorDash. I got the same Carolina burger but also added a hot dog to split with my boyfriend. He ordered another create-your-own and the Irish nachos. The hot dog was okay, I think I would've liked it better if I had omitted some toppings. The Irish nachos were good but the potatoes seemed inconsistently cut, so some were soft and others hard and crunchy, not to mention the topping to potato ratio was off. Now this is the spot to hit up if you're desiring one of the best burger spots in town‼ I stumbled upon this spot by mistake. I gave the cheessyyyy burger a try and it was love at first bite. The bun is buttery and toasted, then its flipped on the burger to hold in all of the juicy cheesiness of this burger. What is wrong with people in this town? The less than 4 star reviewers are all complaining about what? I just had a double bacon burger, fries and a drink for $11 after tax. That is literally within $1 of the cost at any of the drive thru places. The food is fresher, the ingredients are better, the order was correct, it took less than 10 minutes, it was delicious, the customer service was annoyingly great, the establishment was clean, parking galore. I can't complain about my experience. I think the lower star reviewers all work at the other places, I wouldn't call them competition... they are just more convenient because they have a drive thru. Just went to way back burgers and got a brownie milkshake. WORST milkshake ever. Tastes like someone dropped their cigarette butt into the milkshake and added a smidge of herseys chocolate syrup. I'm husband and I have been here a few times and each time has been a good experience. I like this place better than Five Guys as the WB burgers have not been like eating a big ol piece of cotton. The only thing 5 guys has over WB : Fries. I don't like the fries at WB they don't have that baked potato taste. The restaurant has been super clean every time we have dined in and the service has been great. If you decide to give this place a shot I would recommend dining in for the best experience. read more

This is a gourmet burger joint, not fast food. The food is fresh and good quality. The restaurant is very clean and staff are first rate. The draw back was the time waiting for my food. Me and my son love this spot! The food is great and the milkshakes are a plus. On a nice day, the outdoor seating is wonderful.

The first time I ate here I said to myself, "Oh no. This is going to be one of the restaurants I have to disguise myself so they don't realize I eat here multiple times a week." I love it. It's not greasy and the fries are really fresh and delish. I also love how many options you have. I'm pretty picky with burgers. It's like if Five Guys and Steak 'n Shake had a baby.
