This place is one of my top 3 options for a burger place in town. The meat is always cooked right. It's not a smash burger if that's your thing. Always perfectly fresh fries or tots if you prefer. I've tried many of their fancy burgers but for the price and quality the standard one is my choice. You can alter any of your ingredients and pick from a variety of cheeses. If you like a buffalo chicken sandwich they have the best one in town! You can also get the buffalo chicken in strips. For salads, they have a nice green chicken cessation salad that you can add meat on top of. This salad is better than many sit down places in town. Some things I wasn't a fan of: the cheesy burger. We ordered online and got takeout so I'm unsure about customer service or the place itself. We got 2 burgers, 1 hotdog, a chicken sandwich, cheese curds, onion rings, and fries for just under $70. We came to Wayback burgers because they had vegetarian options. We opted for a Cuban burger with an impossible patty. One thing that they could improve is offering vegan cheese. The chicken tenders and fries were good for my kids. The bathroom was clean. One of our orders was not made the way that we asked. They were quick to replace with a new order. Very solid burgers and real fired cheese curds. The price was a bit high for the amount of food, but it was all worth it. Ate with my family, and they also agreed that it was well-made burgers. Wayback makes a higher quality burger than the average place. And they sell tater tots! It doesn't get much better than that, as far as I'm concerned. This is a fast casual joint-you order at the counter, take a number and they bring your food out to the table. It's a little bit of a wait, since they make your food fresh, but it's worth it. Service is terrific-friendly and welcoming. I made a request to customize my burger and it was done happily, no problem at all. Consider senior meal or discount. Kids meal. Not a frequent visitor to fast food establishments. Price is in line with one another, just not in line with guests' purses. This is my second visit here. This is my favorite burger place in St George. These burgers remind me of the ones we used to get when we were kids. Fresh made with custom toppings. We got 3 burgers. Bourbon bacon, classic and Cajun. One side salad, a side of Cajun tater tots and fries. The burgers were great, tater tots didn't have much seasoning for "Cajun" flavored but they weren't bad. We were missing the fries in our order so we called them and they told us to come back and they would give us the fries but we live far away so it wasn't worth it to us to come back that night. I don't know what @ShaneD above is talking about with that review. This place is bomb! They do have refillable fountain drinks and free water with catchup right on every table. The chicken was incredible. The onion rings amazing! The bourbon double bacon burgers were killer in flavor and moisture as was the cheesy burger. Well come back the next time we're in St. George! Great customer service from the 2 young ladies at the counter. But the food was horrible. Burgers were mediocre at best. They messed up 2 of them. The hamburgers are good and juicy. You can build your own or select one of the signature burgers. The prices are pretty high for the burgers. But the fries or tots or onion rings and a regular drink will add $6.39 to your hamburger price! My wife and I had two double burgers. One with a drink and onion rings. We visited this burger restaurant on a weekend trip to St. George. This restaurant had about 7 tables inside and a few more outside to allow for more space. I ordered the A1 Steakhouse burger with a side of fried pickles. The burger was amazing because the steak was cooked perfectly and the A1 sauce complemented all the other ingredients in the burger. The batter on the fried pickles were fried perfectly and the pickles were juicy and full of flavor. Service was good because the chefs didn't mess up any part of the order and the burger and fried pickles were served in about 15 minutes. The restaurant's mood was pretty calm because there were not many customers inside and the food was finished relatively fast. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a burger joint in the area! read more

If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face! The burgers are outstanding, very tasty depending on which one you get they can get a little messy. The double bacon burger was absolutely to die for. They have a little bit of everything for anyone in your party from burgers to salads to hotdogs to fries and tater tots and premium milkshakes. The wait can get a little long when it's busy, but it's worth it. The burgers are so good; I don't know if I would ever have the desire to try the hotdog or chicken sandwiches. read more

We love Wayback Burgers! The customer service is excellent! Super friendly! Some of us are vegan and they have vegan burgers. If you're gluten free you can even order the burger as a lettuce wrap and we love that they use green leaf lettuce. Their fries are gluten free and you can let them know and they'll make a note. We'd love it more if they offered plant based cheese and mayo and plant based ice cream. Every time we eat at the restaurant someone comes by to ask how our food is and if we need anything.
