My friend wanted me to try it because they are very juicy and they take their time making it just right for you! I took a bite and it was juicy and carefully prepared! Great job! Yuba City's newest burger joint. Straight to the point serving fresh meat and clean ingredients . The quality is on point here. Walk up and order and take your number type spot. My fiancée and her mom had been raving about this place so I was super excited to try it. They were correct in telling me that the beef is fresh not frozen, fries and onion rings are some of the best around. Batter was really good on the onion rings. Fries crispy and tasted like real potatoes. The restaurant itself is new age decor with a couple TV's on the wall and seating for around 30 people. Clean bathroom as well. Burgers, chicken sandwiches and tenders, milkshakes and even cheesesteaks are all on the menu. I went with the bourbon burger. Came with bacon, cheese, onion rings and a special sauce. The meat itself was cooked great. Great flavor for sure. But the sauce was super tangy. It became a distraction and I didn't like it. I was also given the burger without the bacon which they quickly rectified but the bacon wasn't crispy and more of the floppy consistency, not great for burgers. The order to get here is the Classic burger which is a double cheese burger and the onion rings. That's what my family got, and they were in heaven. They love this place so we will undoubtedly be back. I'll leave another review upon that visit. read more

August/2026 Review Very Clean. Management August/2026 kept the restaurant extremely clean and cooks were very sanitary. Floors were mopped and clean. Foundation and Ketchup station was very sterile and clean. Restrooms were extremely clean and smelled like it was freshly moped. Service members were very polite and served your food at your table for you. Food was warm and burger and fries were not greasy at all. Bun wasn't even greasy. The ambiance was nice. There are two tvs in the restaurant for entertainment. No booths or comfortable chairs just hard chairs. Air conditioned and not stuffy at all inside. Doesn't smell like a strong burger place usually would like in and out. It's very well ventilated. Overall great place to have a burger and not feel guilty after. Felt closest to a home made burger as you can get for a good price. read more

Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking near Raleys grocery store. We came in for lunch but go it to go. Nice dining area when we went it was not busy at all in fact I was the only one in there. There is a large picture menu, we ordered a few things. Loved the onions rings perfect beer battered. The burgers were delicious great quality meat and lots of flavor. They are on the small side but it was just right for my appetite. For starters, this location is very clean and the customer service was friendly from the start. I came in for takeout for some hungry people waiting at home. The wait didn't take long. I ordered my son the Cajun burger and a Dubai shake which he often orders and enjoys. He's also a fan of their shakes and I believe he's tried every single one of them. The Dubai wasn't his favorite but said it was good. He Loves the burger! Dad says the cheesesteak sandwich is the best he's had at a fast food restaurant and orders it often when we pick up from this location. He paired it with the chili cheese fries and enjoys them also. Stopped off for a quick burger after a hard day of work. Located in a busy business mall, there is parking but be careful of folks driving too fast and not paying attention. Prices were up there in the Five Guys territory, so expect 8-14 per person. The pictures on the wall look great, and look nothing like the food you will be getting not so great. The parties are small, so you need a burger with 2-3 of them to equal any weight. We had a variety of burgers at our table and they were all just okay. Service was mediocre and had a hard time ringing up the purchase then forgot the cups for drinks. For the price I would pass next time and go somewhere else. Not a repeat. And do not try the salad there if you are with other folks that must eat there, it is just not worth it. read more

Way Back Burger Welp, according to prophet google, Wayback Burgers was founded in Newark, Delaware in 1991, under the name Jake's Hamburgers. From 1991 to 2008, the brand grew to 10 locations and began franchising. In 2009, with expansive growth on the horizon, the company decided to rebrand and change its name to Jake's Wayback Burgers. And Lucky for us, there is one in Yuba City... As a chain, it has a beautiful decor on the inside with modern tiling and contrasting complimentary colors. I ordered a classic burger, and at first taste, the meat patently stood out. Salted and defined, the patties took me wayback to something rarely seen on the open market; authenticity. I have been waiting for 20+ and just realized my order hasn't even been started. They have three people working with one lady controlling the grill, the other guy trying to keep people from getting frustrated, and the third guy (whom I'm assuming is the owner) keeps disappearing to the back. I don't have to wait this long at in n out when they are packed. This is absolutely ridiculous. You guys need a better system and more sense of urgency. Safe to say we probably won't be back. This was our first time at eating here and it was well worth the try. I was so hungry I didn't take a picture of my food but it all looked delicious and it was. The burger was full of flavor. I have ordered from this place many times before but this was my first time going into the actual restaurant. I do admit that the menu was a little intimidating but I eventually figured out what I wanted. When I put in my order, the cashier was patient especially because I actually ended up changing my order that I thought I wanted. When I picked up my order, I apologized for all the changing and I was assured by the cashier that it happens to everyone and that even she has moments where she does it as well. The food tasted great! My only regret is that I got one. The dine in experience is unique and the next time I will definitely sit down to have a meal there. It's very spacious with lots of natural light coming in and then there are also some more dimly lit spots in the area for those who may be looking for a little less attention. Stopped in the new WayBack Burger in Yuba City. It is nice inside and the staff was friendly enough. There are about six tables and some bar seating. They have a current promo if you sign up for texts, and you get a free shake with a purchase, which was a $7.49 savings. We got a brownie shake (930 calories), which is only 40 less than the Burbon Bacon Burger we ordered. For a Friday night there were a good number of people coming and going. We got our shake out first - it was good - not gourmet (thankfully, we shared). There was only 1 large brownie chunk in, and it tasted like a Little Debbie Cosmic brownie (which I think are gross). The burger took a bit longer to come out, and it was not great when it did. Honestly, the burger was bland and greasy. The bacon was hard and way overcooked. It did have a mild bbq flavor and some horseradish notes to it. The onion ring was definitely undercooked. The bun was the best part. Between the two of us, we took a few bites and took the rest home for the dog. Based on today, if I went back, it would be to try something other than a burger. read more

Wow everything we tried was fabulous!! We tried the A1 burger and the classic burgers. The patty was juicy and portions are large. We tried the fries and the cheese curds too! Both were good portions and the curds were large and super flavorful. Definitely don't have a frozen taste! My son got the chicken tenders and they had the perfect crunch with lots of chicken. It was 90 degrees outside and the staff was told not to turn on the AC. She offered to open the door but was unable to turn on the air. Hot burger, hot tots in a hot restaurant is special kind of misery. If you're looking for takeout this place is great but I don't recommend sitting down for a meal as summer approaches. Got a aggressively mediocre western bacon burger. One of the most expensive items on the menu with such a simple idea yet so easily botched. With undercooked onion rings, thin unflavored patties, no sauce, visually sickly cheese and gravel like bacon it was a major disappointment. Only positive I can give the burger itself is that the bun didn't come with sesame seeds by default. Its just a greasy mess with a whisper of horseradish. My dog loved the rest that I couldn't bring myself to finish, so I guess there's 2 good things about it in the end. Also got a brownie milkshake free with the promo they got going on currently. Yeah its a chocolate shake, thats about it. Easy to drink, tasted fine. Had like a lil cosmic brownie quality chunk placed in at the top. Its just fine, but I don't think I'd ever actually pay for it. Overall there's worse places you could spend 20+ dollars and consume your entire daily caloric intake in 2 items. It's ok. Price is average for the area. I ordered online and picked up. The inside was very nice and clean. Service was very good. The girl who helped me was incredibly sweet. The burgers and fries are sold separately. Burgers aren't really seasoned and without condiments wouldn't taste like anything. Fries are good but they're soft so if you like crispy you might not enjoy them. The wayback sauce is super good. Overall just ok. Burger was as greasy as the onion rings. Bacon was inedible. The fat of the bacon you could not pull apart very very stringy almost like it was string. The bourbon sauce was like they put barbecue sauce and mustard together and mixed it in. I barely took two bikes and almost choked on the bacon.
