Walking in pretty disappointed with the ambiance. The restaurant was empty yet there's food on the tables and the trash is overflowing. Flies were swarming around inside. And the table was nice and sticky. Employees had to finish up their chit chat before telling us welcome or hi. As for the decor there is nothing really nice in here to look at expect for a bunch of signs saying how good the wings are. Definitely a lot of pride in such an unkept restaurant for sure. The pricing is crazy as it was 3 dollars for 2 tiny 2 oz ranches. Despite this when the wings came out they were quite good. They were nice and meaty, full of flavor, and hot and fresh. Very good. The flavors were unique and unlike any other wing flavors I had tried before. Definitely lives up to the hype. It was a great time but man they really need to put a warning on those creeping reaper wings. WORST EXPERIENCE OF HEAT EVER. But it was a fun add to the experience. The flavor was actually really delightful but the spice is unbearable to the point where if I ate more I would feel physically ill. Try at your own risk but I'm always getting super spicy food and that one took me out. Very good lots of potential but they definitely need some upkeep on the interior and maintaining it.

After all these years, I finally got to try the famous Wayne's Wings! We ordered a few flavors and I honestly enjoyed everyone one of them. I will say that we played it safe only because this was our first visit. I especially enjoyed the Honey Bee and the Lemon Pepper. I love that they don't skimp on their seasoning. Service took a while but we noticed there were several to go orders they were working on. The dining area had very simple furnishings but it was clean which is what matters. The wings are a bit pricey but I will say that some of them were larger than usual. All together, I'm happy that I finally got to experience one of the best wings that San Antonio has to offer.

Stopped in her for some lunch the other day. I honestly didn't expect much but I was thoroughly surprised with how good the wings were. The spicy ranch wings are basic wings fired hard with ranch and hot sauce topping them. They were great. Also tried the honey lemon pepper. They too were really good. They have your typical table seating and the service is nice. 4 out of 5. Check them out.

My go to wing spot. I love the wing options, the customer service is always A1. My favorite wings are anything spicy and fried crispy and they definitely get the spicy right.

It's been a few years since I have been at Wayne's and let me first say Congratulations on the new location, it's not far from tje old one so yay! NOW let's talk food I went for the creeper wings, and the lemon pepper, however I did add some of my other favorites like the honey B wings, and the funnel cake ones and my new favorite honey lemon pepper. And for the first time a waffles was tried, I was good however if they added brown sugar and cinnamon in the batter, that would be awesome. WHEN ever I am in Texas I always stop by Wayne's the service was great. I DID miss the bread the use to come with the chicken

I saw a video on Tiktok and was excited to try this place. Overall I think it was just okay. If my favorite item were the fries it's not a 5 star restaurant. The tx honey bee were the favorite out of the 3 flavors we ordered. I'd give those 4 stars. The Buffalo were okay 3 stars and the garlic Parmesan were really dry, 2 stars. The fries were so crispy and flavorful. 5 starts! I was told the small was a kid size portion but we received a large basket full. Did not seem small to me. The sauces are extra which is surprising. With the prices I would expext 1 side of ranch or blue cheese and maybe charge extra if you want any additional. The soda machine had 2 soda flavors out of order. I wish I knew before ordering 2 fountain drinks. The bathroom was scary and no toilet paper or toilet paper holder! It didn't help that when we left I saw a cockroach running across the exit door. I hope it wasn't inside.

My first time trying wings in San Antonio and I was NOT disappointed! Small location with BIG taste. The wings were fried to perfection. I tried 4 flavors and all of them were a 10/10! The staff is friendly and patient. Definitely will be back and OFTEN

The location we went too was very low key. We found Wayne's wings on Yelp. My daughter is forever chasing the PERFECT WING. The vibe is low key laid back. They have a good variety of sauces. The prices were above what we expected. About 18$ for 6 wings and potato wedges. We decided to go ahead and try it out anyways. I honestly enjoyed the wedges with the parm seasoning better than the wings. The wings I found small and fatty. Not cooked crispy like we enjoy. Maybe we needed to ask for extra crispy. Service was ok. You order up front - they give you a cup for your drink - coke products or tea or lemonade- seat yourself and they do bring your food to you. They were steady with business so obviously people know of them and like them. Just not sure it was our kind of place.

My wings were perfectly cooked, and the range of flavors was exquisite. My meal came with 16 wings in four different flavors, and I chose different heat intensity levels for each and they all were delicious. The service really blew my mind, it was far more than I ever expected. Viviana was an amazing host. I felt bad about showing up 20 minutes before closing time, but she welcomed me in and showed me the ropes being a first timer here. She even picked the flavors for me, based upon what I like and they were also amazing. Viviana came by my table multiple times, to reassure me that there was no need to hurry and to enjoy my first time experience here. The ambience just felt very welcoming. It's an unassuming spot on the outskirts of the city that you wouldn't think would have food of this high caliber. But this spot will definitely teach you to not judge a book by its cover. The bang for your buck is incredible, and the quality of food and service far exceeds the big name, wing places out there. Needless to say, me, my friends, and my family will definitely be back for more. Thanks for a great experience!

I went here on a Friday night because my son brought home some wings from this restaurant a couple of years ago and they were really good. It is a small place in a not so nice looking strip mall and it's very busy on Friday nights. This was my first and last time going to Wayne's Wings. We waited over and hour (two people) to get the wings to go. Once we were home and started eating them, they just did not taste like the ones we had a couple of years ago. A staff member told me Thursdays are a better day because they are super busy on Fridays, and calling in for to-go orders also works better. I don't plan on ever trying to find out.

Fresh pita & dips (free) - 5/5 As soon as we sat down the waiter brought out pita and a special dip that I never tried in other restaurants, and the pita was still warm like it had just come out of the oven. Soft, fluffy, and really fresh. I used it to dip into the sides we ordered later--the Baba Ghanouj and Hummus. The baba ghanouj had that roasted eggplant smokiness, while the hummus was thick, creamy, and very sesame-forward. Both were solid. Flatbread Trio ($15) - 5/5 This comes with three pieces but you can order a plate of three in the same kinds: meat, za'atar spice, and cheese. The za'atar one had that unique flavor--thyme, sumac, sesame seeds. The cheese flatbread came out hot and stretchy with three cheeses melted together. The meat one had minced beef and vegetables on a thin crust with slightly crispy edges. This one really impressed me. Lamb Kabob Platter ($19) - 4/5 Ground lamb mixed with onion and spices and grilled. The texture was fairly firm and the seasoning was pretty strong--you mostly taste the spices rather than the lamb itself. It comes with grilled tomato and onion, which adds a nice bit of sweetness and balances things out. It also comes with 2 sides--we chose baba ghanouj and hummus. The sides portion is really generous. Mixed Grill Combination ($23) - 4.5/5 It includes beef tenderloin, kafta skewers, and chicken shish tawook. The beef had a nice smoky grill flavor and was quite tender. The kafta had the strongest seasoning, and the chicken ended up being the lightest and juiciest of the three. It also comes with 2 sides--we chose baba ghanouj and salad. House dessert (pistachio pastry, $6) - 4/5 Looks pretty simple, but inside there's pistachio filling that gives it a really nice nutty sweetness. Not overly sugary, which I liked. I hope it could improve its appearance a bit. The food felt comforting and homey rather than fancy, and the portions were generous for the price.
