Our hostess, Alma, was so kind and accommodating when our party of 4 were separated and only my wife and I were present( no reservations taken). She had us sit in a comfortable patio outside , with coffee and water. The attraction of this cafe' is it's on the Camarillo Airport landing zone. People stay all day watching many kinds of aircraft arrive and depart. When our friends arrived , Alma, put us to the front of the line to order and then showed us our patio table. So sweet and so professional. We all had burgers and milkshakes. Food, service, atmosphere all 5-star!

Back again! Like always food was delicious! Chilaquiles and chicken tacos were spot on. My husband enjoyed his mimosas and my tea was never empty. We sat inside today and admired how hard their employee work to make you happy. Every single person comes together. I wish more restaurants were like this. Great restaurant and great food!

It was a great day so we sat outside. The patio area was so nice and we got to see the planes and the county helicopter takeoff and land. The service was great! It was very busy that day and our food still came out in a great time. They have a little bit of everything. You'll for sure find something for everyone. The brisket l sandwich I got was really good and I definitely recommend it. My friends got brisket tacos and the other one got a salad with brisket in it. Both looked really good and they enjoyed their meal. Before I left, I had to get their well-known shakes. I got a coffee shake and it was probably my favorite shake I've ever had. I will definitely be back to try more of

Waypoint has become our annual tradition for Thanksgiving break week. Since my son is old enough now to also enjoy the planes viewing area, we knew we'd have a great breakfast experience. We got there right before a major rush so we got seated right away and had the choice to pick from inside and outside. There were plenty of people already wrapping up their early breakfast so we got a great view. I tried something new this time and hashbrown since I knew the O'Brien potatoes weren't my favorite from last time. I got the opened faced biscuits & gravy sandwich and subbed the sausage for bacon which was a great choice! Love their thick and crispy bacon! The gravy was so delicious and flavorful. My husband said the breakfast burrito was a bit on the greasy side but overall, really enjoyed our experience again.

First off I guess I should've read more about this restaurant. It was near an airport kind of out-of-the-way. I didn't know you had to get in line and then order when you got to the front of the line. So someone came out and gave me a menu and I finally got in line with my husband. We weren't there that long maybe 10 to 15 minutes. So we got to the cashier and we ordered our breakfast. Then someone took us to our seats. Ashlie was our server but basically she brought out our food and our coffee. My husband and I both had coffee and I love the mugs and the coffee was pretty good. They even had the raw sugar we like. I had a Carnitas omelette with fruit and wheat toast. The omelette was pretty good, the fruit I would've liked some blueberries or something else. It had a lot of pineapple. Love the wheat toast. My husband had ham and eggs with hashbrowns. Hashbrowns were your typical he said the ham steak wasn't as good as some other places. They did come around and made sure we had coffee and water. And then it might've been the owner she brought us to go boxes. Great if you have kids cause you can sit outside and I believe you may even can bring your dogs. Inside look nice but we chose to sit outside. I like how they stagger the table so you're not next to people. But it was rather loud outside.

Came here on a Friday morning for lunch. There was a long line which made me think their food is good. We waited about 30 min and when we got in, I didn't understand why there's a wait when there's a lot of empty tables inside. Anyway, we were guided to a register first and we placed our orders. It was more like pay now eat later. Our orders came fast. We ordered chicken fried steak and that was ok. Nothing special. The guava lemonade was really good. I suggest to dine outside if you like small planes.

The food is always on point. As well as the view. We love to bring the family and friends here just kick back and enjoy mimosas. Our dog even loves it here, especially when the weather is beautiful. Btw, the staff here and their attention to detail is incredible. They always take care of us no matter how big our entourage is last minute #BaptisteClan

I was in Camarillo for the weekend visiting some relatives. My aunt was keen on taking us to Waypoint Cafe for breakfast! We showed up early and waited in line for a few minutes before opening time. Whilst waiting, we looked at the menu so we'd be ready to order. Ordering is done up front then you are seated. I opted for the cinnamon roll and a guava mimosa. After sitting, it was only a few short minutes before all of the food was brought out. The mimosa was a generous portion and very delicious. I thought it had a good ratio of juice to champagne. The French toast was very good! It was sweet and rich but not too much. My family and I didn't speak much since we were very much enjoying our food. The style of the restaurant is very efficient but I never felt rushed. It's down to business with eating and seating but everyone was very helpful and kind. Overall, I had a good time at Waypoint! I'm sure my family and I shall return again :) definitely come early if you want to try it!

I LOVE Waypoint cafe! I've taken many friends and family members to this place over the years and it never disappoints! The Sunday rush can be kind of crazy so get there early to beat the lines. When we got there, we waited in line less than 10 minutes before our orders were taken at the front desk before being taken to our table. We got a nice table outside with a great view of the runway. I love how the restaurant is decorated and how there's even a miniature runway in the back for the kids to play in. We are so impressed by the service too! My favorite dish is definitely the lemon ricotta pancakes. I told my friends that they're light and fluffy and perfect. Although they were put off by the idea of cheese in pancakes, they both agreed they were the perfect balance. Also, the pancakes are HUGE and you get three! It's definitely worth it. My friend ordered the banana nut waffles and they were delicious too! I liked how crispy and crunchy the outside was while still being tender and soft inside. Overall, we will definitely be back! Next time, we want to try the mimosas and milkshakes!

My family has been coming to Waypoint for years and we've loved all their phases! Food is always what you expect, huge portions, fast services and obviously the Cam Airport view you can't beat! Do I love the switch from getting full service to now ordering at the host stand and then as you sit down your food is already at the table? Not necessarily....I'm someone that who likes to have a couple sips of my coffee and chat for a minute before I dig in BUT I will say it's ideal for people with toddlers who need their food asap! The new outdoor patio and upgraded bar cart is outstanding, the Pineapple mimosas are my favorite and the staff is still awesome. We'll keep coming back for years to come!

I came here for breakfast with a friend. There was a line to enter that was about a 20 minute wait. Once we made it to the door, one of the staff members sat us and then called a waitress over to take our order and we paid upfront. I asked the waitress if we could be on separate checks. She said yes and then left for a moment and came back. She had just split the check 50/50 which wasn't exactly right considering I had ordered a bowl of oatmeal that was $12 and my friend ordered a full breakfast plate that was $21.50. So I am subtracting a star for that. The service was quick and we had received our food within 8-10 minutes of ordering. I had ordered one of the most impressive bowls of oatmeal i have ever had at a restaurant. And actually it is probably the first bowl I have ever ordered at a restaurant. It was steel cut oats with craisins, nuts, cinnamon and banana. They also served a tiny amount of milk, brown sugar and raisins with it. I really enjoyed it. We did have the wait staff check-in with us a few times and they refilled our waters. Since we were inside, I didn't get to see the planes landing which is a neat experience for the outside patio.

An over hyped brunch spot in Camarillo. Small parking lot. Small restaurant. When you open the doors, there's a small waiting area. You HAVE TO know what you're going to order when you tell them how many people are in your party. Then they will find you a seat, either inside or outside. They'll give you a # card and seat you. Food was ok. Enchilada omelet was really good. And their cinnamon roll French toast was way too sweet. They do not give you some berries on the side of it or anything. Overall, it's a decent restaurant. It's 5 mins away from the Camarillo Outlets.

Picked a Thursday morning to try this place out since I've been told the weekend wait can take up to 1.5 hrs. We waited about 5 mins for a party of 2, you order as soon as you walk in at the register then you take a number and pick a seat. Your food is takes to your table and the waiters to come and check on you for refills and anything else you might need. The food was delicious and had good options for coffee which we love! The chicken fried steak was good I wouldn't say the best I ever had but delicious nevertheless. The view is amazing and the atmosphere was quiet even with being outside by the airport, it did get loud for about 5-10 minutes when a plane was taking off but that is to be expected you are at an airport after all. I will come back, but again during the week where the wait time was perfect. Sensory level- a 7 for sound and a 5 for lighting in the outdoor seating area.

Ask the Community - Waypoint Cafe

Is it loud because of the airplanes?

I didn't find it to be loud due to airplanes. The restaurant was packed so the biggest sound issue was just other diners talking and clinking plates, silverware, etc. Nothing excessive, but definitely did not hear an airplane.

    Is it dog friendly?

Yes it is! We've taken our Doggo here numerous times.

Does the restaurant look over the runway?

Yes it does outside is the best view of that but there are windows inside too.

    Is breakfast served all day?

Yes but service is hit or miss. My burger was overdone and the person next to me was underdone. If you want a great breakfast go to Hidden Cafe in Camarillo springs. Traditional breakfasts and Hawaiian breakfasts.

When will waffles be back on the menu?

    They are currently being offered

Will you open for dinner Friday & Saturday night this summer?

    Recommend telephone the business direct.

Do you still offer chorizo and eggs breakfast plate; not the burrito?

When I went in January, it was a plate, not a burrito.

How long is the wait on a Saturday morning? Also, do all the outdoor seats have a good view of the planes coming & going? Or do we have to request those seats? Thank you!

The wait was about 15 minutes last time I went. All the outside tables will do, though the tables that aren't under the covered patio are better for spotting the planes coming in.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

    Yes

What is the average cost per person to eat here?

    The average is about $15-$20

Do they offer to go/ takeout?

As I know if they don't. But, of course they let you take out the left over food after your meal.

Do they take reservations for Sunday brunch?

Unfortunately NO...but so worth the wait👍🏻

Does Waypoint allow dogs in their outdoor seating area?

Yes they do. We have brought our dog several times as long as he is on a leash. Also, there is a local older dog who wanders the area and comes and goes as he pleases. He belongs to one of the hangar workers nearby the restaurant. Everyone greets… Read more

    Is there bottomless Mimosas?

No, you have to purchase each one

Do they have a room/ area for large private groups?

It doesn't have a large indoor space, however there is space outside that could probably be used but it depends on how large your party is. 10-15 people would work. Anything larger than that would be challenging I think. Inside, there is an area off… Read more

When is the best time to come eat here?

If you're stopping to charge, I highly recommend making it an early morning stop so you can enjoy breakfast here. The pancakes were delicious fluffy, buttery, and everything you want in a good stack of pancakes. I was happy, full, and completely satisfied... but I still had my eye on my hubby's breakfast burrito. Thankfully, he was willing to share . I'm so glad he did because it was every bit as delicious as it looked and made the perfect meal for the last 45 minutes of our drive home. Great food, fast and friendly atmosphere, and a pleasant surprise during our trip. Thank you, and we'll definitely be back very soon!

I figured we would get something that I could tolerate and it would be okay - generic dining. I did not expect to actually have something to write about. But I was wrong. The grilled chicken they serve with the Chaufa is very nicely seasoned. It is bits of breast meat, grilled with a little char and adds depth to the otherwise mild flavor of the rice dish. My husband had Chaufa with shrimp, which I didn't sample but he ate the entire meal without complaint. We ordered the pork belly bites to start. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I enjoyed this appetizer so much that I know I will order it again. If I have the chaufa again, I would definitely have it with the pork belly. I ordered the lemonade and was puckering in a good way. Honestly, it tasted more like limeade than lemon. I was happy it wasn't too sweet because I could really enjoy the refreshing citrus flavors. I would go there just for a lemonade. They serve it icy cold in mug style, mason jar glass. Our friend ordered the iced tea and when it arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by the look of the fresh fruit in the clear glass, frosted over from the cold and ice. So nice. He said the herbs and fruit were a good combination. The wife of the owner waited on us. She is understated, friendly and efficient. We didn't have much of a wait as it looked as though we might have just missed the breakfast/brunch rush. I was impressed with how quickly we received our food. If we hadn't just eaten there a couple days ago, I would have gone to Azafran for dinner tonight. I look forward to making it a favorite local place where I can introduce our visitors to a good neighborhood restaurant.

In my culture, the first meal of the New Year sets the tone for the year - as in a fulfilling, enjoyable meal means you will have a fulfilling, enjoyable year. I'd like to thank Country Harvest for setting that tone for me with an absolutely delicious breakfast, the charming atmosphere, and the delightful staff - including Gloria, the manager. Everyone there was efficient and I enjoyed hearing one of the employees singing while he worked. Country Harvest not only provided generous portions (I had a hard time eating it all!) and a variety of teas to select from, but the food was cooked to perfection, and the service was top drawer and fast. On top of all that, they gave me a senior discount, which was much appreciated. I had just left Denny's where I had paid for a tea I didn't even get to enjoy, due to being ignored after waiting about 30 minutes for someone to take my order - after they were taking orders for those seated after me and made me aware they knew I was still waiting - but still did not take my order. Then one of the Denny's employees was actually smug about it, saying when I went to the register to pay for the tea, "Hey...it happens sometimes," while grinning as if it was funny. It remains a mystery if he ignored me because I am a senior, I was not of a background he liked, or he didn't think my one meal would give him enough of a tip, but he was unprofessional and he made sure I won't ever return to Denny's. I do thank him, though, because if he hadn't been such a jerk, I wouldn't have gotten frustrated enough to leave and try to find a place where I could have that good first meal of the New Year - at Country Harvest. His rudeness led me to finding Country Harvest and I am not at all surprised that your restaurant was busy on New Year's Day and Denny's wasn't. Now that I know you're the place to go, you've won my business going forward and I will happily recommend you to others. Thank you so much for truly making my day! As for Denny's losing a customer, "Hey...it happens sometimes."

The restaurant was somewhat "hidden" in the back of a multi building complex. Staff were quite busy but friendly and attentive. We took the first available table inside with views of the kitchen instead of the covered patio outside. Not sure what to eat, the menu listed many choices for both breakfast and lunch that should satisfy your hunger pains. The combo and sub choices also added more to the decision making! Overall the food was filling and satisfied some of our cravings for a Hawaiian style breakfast. The deluxe loco moco was good for 2 to share (with an extra plate included) with a beef patty grilled to your choice of doneness and came with spam and Portuguese sausages. My other daughter devoured her Portuguese sausage classic breakfast while I deviated by ordering the chili verde and eggs special. Definitely satisfied our hunger and would come back again.
