Been coming to Arts since I was a kid and we absolutely love it. Completely revamped since then and the food has gotten even better?! Amazing. Micheladas are unmatched and the Arts corner cakes might literally change your life. Service is so friendly and fast. There's always a wait but you always get seated way earlier than you'd expect. The patio is a great place for breakfast or brunch and the bar inside is a killer place to watch sports on the weekend! My favorites are the corner cakes, chilaquiles, cinnamon roll, and breakfast sopes. 1478238/10. Bury me at Arts when I die.
I placed a pick-up order for the sole purpose of trying their cinnamon roll. I had heard so many people rave about this so I had to come and try it for myself. I paid $10.77 for the cinnamon roll and when calling they ask if you want it heated it up or cold. The roll was perfectly warm, nicely layered with icing, and perfectly fluffy. As soon as I took a bite I knew what people raved about. A 10/10 cinnamon roll and I will be back for more!

I ordered: Norteno is not your average omelette! It's topped with braised short rib, jack cheese, house made guac, fresh pico de gallo and side of their house made green salsa. Served with hashbrowns plus you get a choice of carb and I'm so glad I listened to Stephanie's rec and got their house made biscuit!!!!! I'm (picky with my biscuits and this made me soooo happy!) 5/5 Corner cake was so good . I got half an order cause I was so full. 5/5 Michelada with Pacifico . 5/5 Service was friendly and on point ! Tables and seats were very well kept from what I saw which is always a plus .
I had the day off and was starving after running errands! I decided to sit at the bar and received the best service. Such kind staff. I got my usual - Denver Omelette ( sub bacon ) with sourdough bread and a dune coffee. The portion was huge . I literally had leftovers for two days . I felt like it was never ending! It was busy on a Friday but I feel it usually is. I didn't get corner cakes this time but next time for sure ! I love Art's ... it's color scheme and decor. Prices are reasonable and the quality is amazing !!!
This place is awesome! Drinks are incredible, food is even better, cinnamon rolls are out of this world. Not too bad of a wait for an incredible experience. Loved sitting on the patio getting to people watch and enjoy the sunshine. Can't wait to come back

We passed by on the weekend and there was a crowd waiting outside. We decided to try again early on Monday morning. Thank goodness, we got a table quickly. This is a quaint restaurant with a very friendly staff. We were first introduced to this lovely cafe last year on a visit to my daughter. We loved the food then, and were happy to make another visit. I had the cinnamon roll last time and again at this visit- to share with the table. I got the corner cakes this time. It was delish! I think I will make my visits here an annual occurrence. I'd like the frequency to be a higher number, however I live 2,500 miles away and an ocean apart.
We brought our grand children and adult children for lunch... And we're pleasantly surprised!! The servers were efficient and very helpful! They worked well together and brought our food even when it was very busy. The restaurant was clean and there were seats available inside and outside. There were booths and table options. The bathrooms were clean as well. We will plan to be back!
Art's is a fantastic and well run diner with very good Mexican food. I've had the famous corner cakes (super tasty, crunchy, and unique) and most recently stopped in for the chicken fried steak. It was legit: crunchy breading, creamy gravy, a nice piece of meat, and perfectly crisp hash browns. Plus, the portion sizes are enormous, but the quality is still top notch. Next time I'm trying the short rib omelet for sure.

Inside of the cafe is crowded and loud, but gorgeous. All of the staff seem happy to be there and are good at their jobs. Cinnamon roll - loved it! I loved how there were 0 firm parts, it was completely soft throughout. It's not the best cinnamon roll I've had in my life, but it was really good. It's on the lighter side when it comes to flavor, but I enjoyed that bc it doesn't make you feel sluggish . This cinnamon roll was a nice pick-me-up and was made with love! Breakfast burger - very juicy and quality ingredients but the meat itself was bland. Like it wasn't seasoned . Spicy Mexican Benedict- the hollandaise was good, but I'm hesitant to actually call it a hollandaise. It's an entirely new sauce. The chorizo was great. The o'brian potatoes were my favorite part. Overall a solid dish I'm not sure I'd return but I would come back for a takeout order of the cinnamon roll! This place is really nice but I think it would be better for drinks. They have an extensive breakfast cocktail menu and would make a great spot for those looking for some daytime drinks

The inside was oh so ooey gooey and the frosting had that quality homemade consistency - not the sometimes stale flakiness that you get elsewhere. Along with that I got a side of hash browns which wasn't anything special but still a good breakfast staple. Our waitress served us quickly and was very friendly. The inside and outside was super cute like modern diner vibes, and the colors were everything. They have an outdoor seating area which looked nice but it was pretty warm that day so we opted to sit inside. I love a good patio area though so I will definitely take advantage of that next time.

I know this sounds crazy, but I had never been to this restaurant, even though it's just a short walk from my house. Now that I've been there, I'm so glad I finally went! The restaurant is much bigger than I imagined. The service was amazing; all the waitresses were incredibly attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic! My family and I ordered their corner cakes, waffles, chicken, kids' cheeseburger, and chicken strips with fries. I tried a little bit of everything, and it was all delicious. Another thing I'd like to mention is their generous portions! We could have ordered less food, but we enjoyed every bite. read more

Great atmosphere, excellent service. We will be back. Ordered country fried steak and sopas. Chorizo was wayyyy too spicy. There's no need for that. Biscuits were dense and heavy but gravy was good. ~ FLAKY CORNER CAKES & CINNAMON ROLL DREAMS ~ Art's Corner Cafe is one of those Ventura breakfast spots that totally lives up to the hype. We came in late morning on a weekend and were seated right away, which was already a win because this place is popular. The space feels clean, updated, and lively without being overwhelming... kind of like a classic diner, but elevated. Inside is so pretty, they definitely took the time for interior design. Let's talk food because it's sooo good. The Art's Corner Cake is their take on a pancake, and it's thin, flaky, almost crepe-like. Learn from my mistake and order two, one is never enough. Perfect with butter, syrup, or their homemade jam. The cinnamon roll absolutely deserves its cult following: homemade, fluffy, loaded with frosting, and still amazing even reheated later. Easily a must-order. For savory, the Spicy Mexican Benedict was delish. The chipotle hollandaise has a nice smoky kick, and the chorizo, avocado, and eggs all worked perfectly together. We also tried Art's Potatoes, topped with chile verde, eggs, and cheese, hearty, flavorful, and a solid portion. Service was friendly and efficient, food came out fast, and they even take payment tableside which makes leaving quick and easy. Prices are reasonable, there's parking in the back, and the menu has tons of options, so everyone can find something they'll love. I'll definitely be back for more brunch!!! read more

Breakfast at Art's Corner Cafe in Ventura this morning with family and Benji My wife recommended this place, and I can see why she likes it We ordered the Chilaquiles, Famous Corner Cakes, Fried Chicken & Waffles, coffee, and fresh orange juice. If you like spicy food, I would definitely recommend ordering the red sauce for the Chilaquiles. The coffee was simple diner-style coffee, but honestly perfect for a cool Ventura morning. The orange juice tasted fresh and refreshing. The Famous Corner Cakes were thin, soft, and slightly crispy around the edges. The Fried Chicken & Waffles had crispy chicken with fluffy waffles, and the Chilaquiles were flavorful and filling with creamy avocado and eggs. The outdoor patio was dog-friendly and relaxing, which made the breakfast even better. Benji seemed to enjoy the outing too Nice local breakfast spot with friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a place I would come back. read more

The food! The service! What an amazing experience we had. A little hard to find and parking can be an issue but it's well worth the effort. They were super busy when we arrived but we were seated and drinks served within 10 minutes. We loved Art's so much we came back the next day. 5 stars all the way! Life long Ventura resident, but ashamed to admit I'm a first-timer. I kept hearing about their cinnamon rolls but I've been trying to be good. Woke up in a bad mood so I needed a pick me up and headed over to give it a shot. I was greeted with a smile and was sat quickly. Very cool interior ambiance! Paula was super fun and friendly, got my cinny started right away. It came out hot and fluffy; soooo incredibly delicious! My bad mood was cured! Paula came back to check on me and even though I was stuffed, I had to try the chile verde with some hash browns. It came out quick and was perfect! The best chile verde I've ever had! I was secretly hoping my experience would just be mediocre so I could get back on my fitness journey but now I'm doomed knowing this place is so dang good. Paula was definitely a sweetie and one of the highlights of my experience! I can't wait to come back! Support local! This place is IT! read more
A follow-up visit was nowhere as near as good as the first one. Brought the family, regrettably. Hash browns were either undercooked and greasy or over-panned to death to the point there were burnt. The biscuits underneath the country breakfast were abysmal. Sausage patty was also overcooked and burnt. As usual the Yang to my Yin presents its ugly head every second visit I go to any food establishment. The breakfast sandwich was good however but when you balance everything three stars is just about right and probably won't be back coming from so far just for this. read more

My wife and I were out of town with our pup and we were looking for a dog friendly spot in Ventura. We found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Ok, this review will be a little long, but they are Worth It! First, the owner Raul and his staff went out of their way to seat us because our pup (7mo MinPin) is still learning to be social. Once seated, the staff worked as a team to serve and accommodate their patrons. Patio is tight, but the owner was constantly working the umbrellas to keep everyone comfortable. Now for the Food...I can firmly say, I am an expert when it comes to Country Fried Steak and gravy. (Im a Texan) As I have posted before, my all time favorite in Cali is The Stove in Mammoth Lakes. But, I'm sorry, Art's has now topped #1 for Country fried steak! Their's is just about as close to what my Granny made. The Gravy...10+! O'Brien potatoes perfectly cooked and the Biscuit... Perfection! The High roller was the cinnamon roll (Again, now my #1 in SoCal). Lastly, the Coffee was a deep dark brew they get from Santa Barbara which for me was icing on the experience. Sorry I didn't take more photos, but I will definitely drive the 2 hours and stop in when in Ventura. This place is a MUST TRY! Convenient place to grab a bite for breakfast. They've remodeled in the past few years and I've got to say, the service and food are always consistent. This last weekend, we tried the chicken and waffles and the NY steak and eggs. Both were good and very filling. The coffee is always hot and fresh and the waitresses do not leave you waiting for any refills. Love sitting at their booths. Great local spot. read more
Went to Arts for breakfast before taking the kiddos to Santa Barbera Museum. Service was very friendly, the inside was nice and cozy! And food was really good, we ordered their New York steak and eggs and it was really good, initially went in there for their cinnamon roll and it was good just that icing was cold but other than that it was good. Really enjoyed their biscuits with gravy and biscuit with butter and jam! Really enjoyed will be back when in the area! read more
Wanted to try someplace different and I believe we came here when it had a different ownership. The place was very crowded but we only had to wait about 5 minutes and this was a Monday. It was extremely loud when we got there but when the Birthday party left, quoted down. We were served coffee right away, but the mugs are very small. Coffee was good not excellent. Our server was Stephanie, she apologized for taking a while but we told her we were not in a hurry. I had a Chili Verde Omelette which had just the right amount of spice. I had fruit instead of potatoes, very good. I also got a homemade biscuit, with homemade jam, took it home. My husband had a Whole Hog omelette but wished it had more cheese. He got hash browns which we shared and an English Muffin. read more

I was passing through town and decided to stop in because I had heard that they have one of the best Cinnamon Rolls around, which is enough to get me to stop anywhere. The restaurant itself looks really new or freshly updated and was very organized. There's a large free parking lot in the back otherwise street parking is pretty easy to find. Our server was really polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. I would say it's almost like a diner, but in an elevated way. They have a large menu filled with all sorts of great options so it took some time to choose what we wanted to order. We had heard about their Cinnamon Roll, so decided to start off with that and can honestly say it is very good. The thing I like most about it is that it is homemade and almost has a brioche taste to it, but the icing itself is very light and really easy to eat it almost too fast. I would highly recommend ordering it. For my breakfast, I chose the Spicy Mexican Benedict and really enjoyed it. I am a sucker for anything with chorizo and avocado so when I saw that combination, it was a no-brainer for me. Overall, it was really good and cooked perfectly and I was very happy with it. I would say Art's is one of my favorite breakfast options in Ventura and I would recommend to anyone in the area. I plan to give it another try next time I am passing through town. read more

I've been to Art's way too many times to not have written a review by now, so shame on me. I love this place so, so much. Let me preface this by saying it's always busy, which means parking can be a bit of a pain. I've definitely parked a few blocks away before. Was it worth it? Without question. A little walk after a great meal never hurt anyone anyway. The service is consistently a 10 out of 10. Everyone is friendly, efficient, and somehow still warm and welcoming even when the place is packed. You never feel rushed, and you can tell they genuinely care about the experience. And the food? Easily a 20 out of 10. I've never ordered a single thing I didn't absolutely love. Everything tastes fresh, comforting, and thoughtfully made, the kind of food you keep thinking about long after you've left. It's one of those menus where you feel confident ordering anything because you know it's going to be good. The drinks aren't necessarily my favorite, but for a brunch spot, having cocktails at all is always a treat in my opinion. Art's is one of those places that never disappoints, no matter how many times you go. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. And if you have, you already know exactly what I mean. read more

I came to Art's Corner Cafe for brunch on a weekday around 11 AM and was very surprised by how well decorated the restaurant was! The vibes were immaculate. There was no wait and we were seated immediately at a booth. Our server was very friendly and came by very quickly. We ordered the "World's Best Cinnamon Roll" ($9), chicken fried steak ($21), and the new york steak & eggs ($28). I felt that everything was fairly priced. After we ordered, the food came SO FAST... suspiciously fast... The cinnamon roll came first, within less than five minutes. I had high expectations for this as it was advertised to be the best in the world. I am comparing this cinnamon roll to the ones over at Pete's Breakfast House. The one here is good, but didn't meet the high expectations I had. It just wasn't as hot as I thought it would be. And that made the icing on top not "melt" into the cinnamon roll. It kinda tasted like it was sitting out for a while. The presentation is amazing however and it looks so good!! The chicken fried steak wasn't what I expected... I think the batter of the chicken fried steak was actually made out of tempura? I don't know... I just didn't really like this "tempura-like" taste. Good portion size though! Lastly, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the New York Steak and Eggs. It's on the pricier end of the dishes ordered today but WORTH IT! Very delicious and cooked well. Comes topped with a delicious chimichurri sauce. Overall, I loved my experience here and hope to try something else out the next time I come. read more

Is this place really closed forever? They said it was closing for good on October 16th? But I keep seeing ppl parked in the parking lot on the weekend....
They have transitioned to the new ownership and are NOT closed at this time. They were closed for 5 days a few weeks ago before the sale was final to allow the staff some well deserved time off. They staff have all been working 6-7 days a week…
