So happy we found WC Design to renovate our original 1957 home. Two phases, eight months. Kitchen/laundry/guest bath and master suite/powder bath. Meagan really listened to what was important to us and had amazing ideas, including adding a powder bath within our original foot print! The construction was professional and did amazing work. Everyone was flexible during a challenging 2021, always available to answer questions, upfront about any issues and always had creative solutions. Out of over 10 flooring places I went to in LA and OC counties this was the ONLY location that would change to come and measure my space. RIDICULOUS! Flooring prices are higher than other places! Do yourself a favor head over a few miles down the road to Los Alamitos (3 flooring places around the corner from each other). Positive: they help with color selection if you take your cabinets. AND you can take samples home. (Hence my two stars). read more

I do not recommend WC Design Center!! Our project was supposed to be 8 weeks and it took 6 months. It went over budget by 50%. They do not stand by their work. We have issues that need fixing and they are not responsive. Very unprofessional and not quality work. read more

We worked with WC Design Center to completely remodel our kitchen. They came up with a beautiful design and executed it beautifully. Their team was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. W.C. Design was contracted by us to open a wall between the kitchen and dining room to complete our kitchen remodel. The designer suggested a beam to be put in above the opening. She said "Trust Me", it will look great. The designer told us that we would go pick out the beam together. During the construction she instead went by herself, picked out a beam and had her crew put it up. We were very unhappy with the beam because it was too short and too narrow. They installed a 3 1/2" x 9' beam in a space where a 5" x 10' beam should have been installed. The designer agreed it did not look good, but refused to take the beam down and put the right size in. She suggested putting another thin piece of wood on the front to make it "look" larger. When asked about the seam between the pieces of wood, she said that they would make it look like "one piece." The owner, the designer, and the bookkeeper told us that when the project was paid in full the work that needed to be done with the beam and other problems with the kitchen would be taken care of. We paid the full price of the project in December of 2014, with a year guarantee on the work. We have contracted W.C. Design for several months after paying the total price of the remodel. They were asked to come out and correct the problems that we have. They did not answer any of our phone calls or emails. We contracted a new company to come out and take down the beam and replace it with a 5" x 10' beam which W.C. Design said could not be done. While working on removing the beam in place, the new contractor found that there were only 5 screws holding up the entire beam, with four along one side and one at the end. The beam was replaced and it looks beautiful. This should have been the job of W.C. Design. We also have cracks in the travertine floor that W.C. Design installed and were asked to come out and replace. Those phone calls were never returned. The new contractor said that because W.C. Design put the travertine floor under the new cabinets it would be very costly to replace the tiles and floor. W.C. Design is the WORST company to deal with. They demand to be paid in full under the threat of filing liens, etc., but fail to come out and do any repair work once they receive payment. All remodels are stressful and you have to expect a few hiccups, but Meagan and her team made the process as smooth and painless as possible! We completed a huge project - knocking big down walls and moving our entire kitchen- in 10 weeks. Meagan was very patient and had great ideas. She listened to the things that were really important to us and most importantly, did her best to keep us within budget! We finished very close to the time frame she quoted and were extremely happy with the end result. The team at the Seal Beach store had great taste, endless ideas, patience and even found a way to meet by budget, too. Not only did they find the flooring I really wanted, they were on site to figure out design plans and details. Also, they lined me up with the installation team and they were also excellent. Even, a few months later, when I discovered a small but growing crack in the floor, they stepped right up to fix it. The WC Design team stands by their clients and their work. A lost art? We were trying to remodel our kitchen by choosing flooring, counter tops, back splash, & new cabinet colors ourselves. We thought we had done a pretty good job, but half way through the project, I could tell our selections were clashing with each other and was really worried it wasn't going to look good after all of this time and money spent! I stopped in one day with my samples I had previously selected (sort of in a panic) and they confirmed what I was thinking....we had selected too much pattern, we hadn't picked anything to bring together the warmer colors of the floor with the cooler colors of our counter top. The designers showed us how we could bring it all together in a way that was very similar to what we had chosen, but it CLEARLY pulled it together instead of clashing! They were able to find a new counter top and back splash for us that REALLY helped! Thank you so much for your design expertise!! We're lucky to have you right here in Seal Beach! read more

We had our kitchen remodeled by WC Design Center. The planning was great, but once it was started, the job turned into a mess. The workers were there all day to gut the kitchen, but after that was finished, we had to call each day to find out what was happening. The contractor seemed to show up at lunch time and eat prior to starting any work. We requested "custom kitchen cabinets." We received something that was in a box. The kitchen cabinets were too short leaving a 6 inch space between the roof and the cabinet. We had them stop and put in cabinets that reached the roof, but we were charged the difference between the cabinets even though they had conducted the measurements. Every time we complained about something, Melissa simply stated "you signed for it." Yes, we signed for it, but we didn't know that the cabinets were too short. The kitchen counter was granite, and we had purchased enough for the kitchen and bathroom with approx. 1/4 to spare. The kitchen granite was installed but the cut was poorly done and you can see the seam as soon as you walk into the room. When we asked about the bathroom, we were told that there wasn't enough granite left over. When we showed them a diagram and all of the extra space, we were then told that the granite was brittle and had broken and there was nothing left. Over 16 sq. ft. of granite lost and not a single scrap left over. What gives? The floor was not what we expected and one of the floor cabinets was too wide. We were told that the flooring does not always match what we see in the office, and the cabinet was what we "signed for." We with-held $1500 after paying WC over $23,000 for the remodel. Megan and Melissa came over and basically threw a fit over the $1500 we didn't pay, not even mentioning the $23,000 that we had already paid. We had a beam installed separating the kitchen from the dining room. The beam was too narrow, and the contractor cut it too short. When we asked why it was cut too narrow and cut too short, we were told why it couldn't be done, but the next day he "added" a one inch piece to the beam to make it fit the space. We complained about the beam but were told that since we had with-held the $1500, there was nothing they could do and we would not receive any warranties. We paid the $1500, and still have not heard anything from them about the work that was not completed. Do not sign with this company unless you like excuses, mistakes, and poor workmanship. As for the contractors who worked on our remodel project, they were extremely professional and highly skilled.
