I had a very disappointing experience with We Care Pest Control. Communication was extremely unprofessional--Kaitlyn Mañana was rude, abrasive, and completely lacking compassion when handling our account. Instead of addressing concerns respectfully, the responses we received felt dismissive and unhelpful. In addition, the service itself has been unreliable. The company does not consistently maintain their rat traps or follow up to ensure the property is properly managed. There was little to no effort to check whether their treatments were actually effective, which defeats the purpose of hiring a pest control service in the first place. Overall, the lack of professionalism and poor service quality make this a company I would not recommend. read more

We care did an assessment of my house for dry rot post house closing. Their assessment was $2k more than the original inspection report which was fine, and I signed a contract for them to do the work on my house. They came to do work and spent the entire two weeks as expected on the job however failed to mention that they would not be doing any painting so now my house has mismatched walls which should have been clear from the beginning. While I have no problems with the job, it seems fine thus far - I'm deeply disappointed that even with the miscommunication there was no discount so that I can go out and either acquire the paint to paint myself or hire ANOTHER contractor. read more

We've used We Care twice in the past year in SF and Marin and I can't say enough good things about them. When you have rats, you just want them GONE. And that's what We Care does really well, without poison or toxins in your house. Davey and his guys are prompt, professional and clean. In both cases they had to work around us or our tenants who were wfh due to COVID. They wore masks the whole time, worked efficiently and kept things tidy. In one case, they even removed and replaced insulation from the crawl space beneath the house that the rats had gotten into. They had to bag and carry the old insulation through the house and bring the new insulation down into the crawl space through a trap door in a closet. There wasn't even a spec of dust visible when they finished. Re. cost -- I've found We Care to be very reasonable. Crawling under the house and dealing with rodents is hard work. It's certainly something that I don't want to do myself. I think We Care's pricing was very fair and actually came in lower than other bids that I received for the job. It was much higher than expected but I don't mind paying a smaller premium for reliability and reputation. Davey - arrived right on time and provided a very thorough quote and inspection sheet. He was able to get me on schedule within the week which was very reasonable. Tom and Eric - arrived right on time. They were both very professional and patient. They took the time to take me around the house, showed me what was done, and answered all my questions (and I tend to ask a lot of questions). There was one small oversight, but they were quick to get it done and fixed. Very very pleased with overall reliability and job performed! Sean and Juan from We Care are the best! We Care responds quickly, gave a very fair quote and were honest about what was needed and what was overkill. Sean Our backyard has a seasonal creek (mosquito heaven during spring and summer) and we have basically a forest beyond the creek. Needless to say we have a lot of pests, especially rats, mice and mosquitoes and ticks. Juan came out, didn't over promise what treatment could do - got rid of a ton of nasty spiders and other bugs that were infesting near the house, set some rat traps that were very well hidden, and sprayed for the mosquitoes and ticks and suggested we have someone come cut a lot of the grass, and tree branches back from the treehouse/playhouse that our toddler plays in all time. Best part is, they use tons of pet/kid friendly and natural repellents like orange oil. These guys are top notch, we have them come over couple months to keep maintenance up and couldn't be happier. Was really disappointed in follow through. We paid for the big service where they identify and seal all entry points and trap. It's expensive but I didn't want to keep dealing with rats so I thought it was worth the price. The men who did the inspection and repair work were on time and professional. After sealing the house, they came back and picked up all the traps about a week later. However, one month later we found a trap they forgot and it had a new dead rat in it. The rat was fresh. The guy who collected the rat confirmed that it was "fresh" and that "he was instructed to pick up all the traps that were accidentally left behind". If it was fresh, this means this rat got inside after they patched the holes. They didn't re-evaluate for an missed access points. They didn't set more traps to see if there was another one. They just picked up the forgotten traps, dead rat and left. For the price you pay I expected more. read more

I have used we care for years. We get mice occasionally (only after rain) and have had them come out for exclusionary services several times. Their new specialist Davey, has said there's nothing to find and offers me one of two options bait or an exorbitantly priced monthly trapping service. Their own guys hate that plan because they waste their time every month to come up and have no traps to change. I don't want to bait because of the wildlife in Marin and my cats. So my only option is this monthly service. I'd be a lifelong trapping customer if they'd do it and would save them a lot of resources. Instead they make poor business decisions that result in loss of not only my business but the countless referrals I've sent. This used to be a business that seemed to want to do the right thing, now they just want to make money. read more

I was dealing with hordes of ants over the Labor day weekend. I called Cheryl at We Care and received a very quick response the day after the holiday. Gio came out the following day and eradicated the little pests. Gio was extremely thorough, and very professional. This man was on his hands and knee's looking for, and finding the entry points. He applied the bait in strategic areas , did a 3 foot spray around the perimeter of the house, and told me that this should take care of the problem. He added , if it doesn't, the company has a 30 day warranty, and they would rectify the issue if it still existed. I was so happy with the service, and the professionalism of Gio. We used this company for a pest inspection on a home our client was planning on purchasing. Ricardo was phenomenal! Our client was very impressed with his skill-set, he was knowledgeable, and had a very practical grasp on everything he was doing. This was the 2nd pest inspection done on the property, and there was a world of difference between the two reports! I noticed termites entering in my San Rafael home from the finished basement last year and later discovered damage to my wood floors upstairs. Sean came to my house and did a thorough inspection, shared all his findings, and proposed a solution. Unfortunately subterranean termites are expensive to treat, but Sean came in matching the lowest bid and doubled the warranty of others in case of a recurrence. Sean and Bobby were highly professional and friendly and my pest problem went away. When I had another insect intrusion recently, I emailed Sean and got a fast and accurate answer of carpenter ants. He even guessed they might be intruding across a utility wire touching a tree (which they were). This place is awesome! We had a horrific rat problem. When our cat passed away, I had put out the leftover cat food in our garage, and I think this is what initially lured so many rats to our house in the first place. The wecare guy came over and did a great job blocking up every entry point to our house. I appreciated his careful work and all the time he spent at our house. He even built custom wooden attachments to the bottom of our garage door to seal up the spaces between our garage door and uneven driveway. Over the next couple years they came out whenever I called, no questions asked, if there was any sign (or sound) of any additional problems. Each time they came, they were friendly, professional, and trustworthy. I really like this place a lot and would not hesitate to use them again. One warning (which I wish they would have warned us about): when they seal up the openings, the rats are trapped inside your home for a while. So we had frantic rats running around inside for several days until they were eventually all trapped. Some dug through our screen doors, desperate to escape. read more

***We are extremely clean and do not have clutter in our home!*** We (my 7 year old son and I a.k.a. Mom) rent a condo in Santa Rosa and have very recently seen droppings upstairs and downstairs, as well as a black rodent run across our kitchen floor. We could hear it make a hissing noise as it ran by along with the loud tapping of his claws.... He has been dubbed 'RatBurt' by my 7 year old:-/ We contacted the Property Manager about 'RatBurt' and were informed we would receive a call from the Pest Control company to address our possible 'mouse' issue. The rep that called offered a 7am appointment on Thursday, so we accepted, Thinking that we would finally be rid of 'RatBurt' was GREAT news! Our bubble of joy was soon destroyed! As soon as the tech (owner) arrived, he immediately started to complain about the early hour of the appointment. I politely asked him if he had booties for his shoes (which he did not), so I asked him to please remove his shoes prior to enterring our home (house rules with small children, sorry). The tech now had TWO things to complain about. Prior to the techs arrival, I had already laid down glue boards and snap traps (Mr. RatBurt beware! lol) The tech quickly pointed out that there was no need for him to set traps because I had already set a couple. Ah, the THIRD complaint! I had asked about plugging access holes to prevent them from coming inside? The tech promptly replied 'It's dark! What do you want me to do about it!?!?' Ah, the FOURTH complaint! As the tech was walking toward the front door, cooincidentally after putting a piece of fresh rat poop in his pocket, he said that since 'I require a 24 hour notice, then I had BETTER give the A-OK to let him in for an afternoon appointment WHEN IT IS LIGHT OUTSIDE'. Ah, complaint #5! He had also mentioned putting poisonous bait inside our home. I let him know I do not want poison in the house because I have a small child and because I would prefer that dead rodents are not left rotting somewhere in the walls/sink, etc. He said it is no big deal if a little '1" mouse' is dead inside of our home and that we had nothing to worry about. Does this guy read any reports from the CDC? Since when do rodents travel alone? We were also advised by our overjoyed tech that our teeny tiny 'mouse' was about an inch long and 'has moved out now because there is nothing to eat'....? As I got up this morning for work, I found more rodent poo.....I'm still asking myself how a 1 inch mouse can make poop almost as long as it's body? Is it normal nowadays for an exterminator to make you feel WORSE for asking for help? SMH read more

I called We Care for a quote and they came to our place right away. The inspector was helpful and he and provided a quote for the termite damage he found shortly after the inspection. However when it came time to schedule the termite service I sent an email to our inspector, and he did not reply. A week later I gave him a call because hey, everyone misses an email or two from time to time, so it was no big deal. He told me over the phone that he would email me a few dates when he would be available. Well its been a week, and still no email, so I guess I will have to go someplace else. If you need a quote, give We Care a call, but if you need the work actually done, then go someplace else. read more
