The remaining raccoon disappeared when we had the tree removed. Since the raccoons had extensively damaged the roof, we didn't bother paying for Epix to clean and disinfect the roof... instead we just hired roofers to remove the old shingles and clear debris off the roof which they had to do before re-shingling anyway. No sense in paying Epix to get a roof disinfected, if we were needing to replace the roof anyway.

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, especially considering the $4,217 I paid for both jobs. Issues Encountered: 1. Poor Customer Service: The rodent treatment included an unexpected $16.83 credit card processing fee, which was not disclosed upfront (the amount of the fee is not the issue as each of the techs for the crawlspace job were given a $40 tip before I realized the job was left incomplete). While agreeing not to charge me the fee on future jobs, Tony called me to chastise me about complaining about the fee when he charges less than his competitors for services provided. How much Tony charges in relation to his competitors is irrelevant to the fact that I was forced to pay an avoidable fee. Tony's response to my concerns regarding the incomplete vapor barrier installation was equally unprofessional and dismissive. 2. Incomplete and Haphazard Work on the crawlspace job: * The job was scheduled from 9am to 6:30pm, but the techs arrived late without notification, and the work was completed after 8pm. * The vapor barrier installation was unprofessional and incomplete, with visible ground, dirt on the barrier, and improperly pinned sections. Trash/debris was left under and on top of the barrier despite a $1,280 charge for trash removal. After sharing photos and videos of the incomplete work, Tony agreed to send someone to finish the job but at the same time made excuses for the techs who started the job. He assured me the vapor barrier would address humidity issues, but when the humidity in my house reached 80%, he suggested contacting a home inspector instead of measuring the crawlspace humidity as promised. Despite paying several thousand dollars, I decided not to pursue the matter further due to the stress involved. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision about Tony's Pest Killers. EDIT to include response to business owner: I have included images of our text conversation about the credit card processing fee. You are lying. You NEVER said your competitors charged $1,000 for the job you did because they don't charge $1,000. You only mentioned that the price was $350 pre-covid. After I thanked you via text I thought that would be the end of the conversation but you called me to chastise me about complaining about the credit card processing fee. Your ease at lying amazes me. As far as the crawl space, you estimated the crawlspace to be 1600 square ft not including the cement blocks. You asked about the old insulation and whether I wanted it thrown out with the rest of the trash before you started the job. I told you I did want it thrown out. I have attached the text exchange. At no point did you say anything about the old insulation not being included in the estimate as you were sure to mention about the trash on the cement blocks not being included in the estimate. You left any trash on the cement blocks because you said that wasn't included. You provided an estimate and then you provided the final invoice, which I paid in full. The fact that you rounded down in estimating does not justify or diminish the fact that you left the job incomplete. I do not owe you "gratitude" (as you suggest in your response) for the cost of doing business. It's bizarre that you think you are doing people a favor by providing service that is incomplete and haphazard. Good customer service goes a long way. No one asked your techs when the job was going to be done every time they emerged from the crawlspace. In fact, they were each given $40 tip ($80 total) when they claimed that the job was complete. I never told you that I preferred white plastic. I sent you an email with a question about the difference between the white and black plastic. Period. Your lies are outrageous and say a lot about your character and how you run your business.

They can not stay and they cause extensive damage. Kevin had a systematic plan to harmlessly evacuate them from my attic, then thoroughly seal the attic to prevent them from returning. He then cleaned the mess they made from their attic party. The key here is bats want to return to the same spot year after year. A professional job has to be done to make sure they can not come back. Kevin is that professional that will give you peace of mind. Bat removal and remediation is not cheap. Google it. But I think Kevin is fair and excellent at this.

Every time Karieem was in our home, he was the very model of courtesy and professionalism. We were told that the product was safe to pets and animals, and there was a three-month guarantee against re-infestation. A week or so later, we noticed that the bugs were still in our home. My wife called back to let him know. He came and sprayed again. A few weeks later, same problem - ants and silverfish. He came and sprayed yet again, telling us that our problem was due to pet food being present in the kitchen. Yesterday, we found our bathroom infested with ants. So . . . we called yet again. At first Karieem was very cordial and seemingly sympathetic, as we had known him to be thus far. He even offered a full refund (we did not ask for a refund! We just wanted the bugs gone!). In the next sentence, he said we would be getting only a half-price refund, since he had "bent the rules and came out several times". After a pause, his whole demeanor changed he yelled, "You know what? You're not getting a refund, and I can't believe you asked me!" He then went on a 15 minute rambling, screaming fit, accusing us of trying to take advantage him, and calling us "classless", "pitiful" (I have a digital recording of the last three minutes of the "conversation" to verify this.) Whatever product was used for insect control; at our house did not work for 3 weeks, let alone 3 months, and Mr. Koon was vehemently opposed to hearing about its poor quality. Guarantee be damned! If a product doesn't work, it doesn't work. It shouldn't be a personal matter, as he made it to be. When a business owner decides not to issue a refund to a customer, or decides to not continue doing business with a particular customer for whatever reason, there are more professional ways to go about severing a business relationship than screaming, ranting, and insulting. The incongruent and aggressive actions of Karieem, to me, indicate that he is a potential danger to his customers.

One day a door tag by Healthy Homes was left on my door and so I gave them a ring. I received instant communication and scheduling. AJ the owner came out and provided me a free estimate but also educated me a lot about my home, the creatures impacting my home and just so much more information than I have ever received. He noticed I had season carpenter bees and woodpecker issues which I suspected but was never confirmed by my 4 years of service with the other company. He was also very loving to my 13 yo dog and she warmed up to him fairly quick. The quote he provided me in comparison to the big name company saved me $600/year. This new quote included my detached garage which was never covered. I basically learned I was over paying for under quality service and products. We immediately book the initial service!
