WG Aquatic is best of the ATL aquatic center options we've experienced through the past decade. Two pool areas, including competition swim/dive areas, allow for team competitions and practices. Space abounds for personal workouts and lessons as well. While you're here for water sport, take a deep breath (above water) and notice the fresh air! WG Aquatic has figured out we mostly prefer oxygen to chlorine, and their fresh air system (not the official name) works. Spacious shower/changing rooms and roomy pool decks allow you some elbow room, and the upper-deck stands give spectators a great vantage point to see their favorite swimmer shave a second off that PR. The secondary pool area is a little warmer and gives space for personal workouts while the main lanes are hosting team practices. And regardless you'll have year-round swim options here. If we didn't live in the hinterlands across the city, we'd enjoy frequenting for water adventures.

There are several playing fields for team sports. There is also a quarter mile track that encompasses one of the fields. Our most recent visit was in January, a cooler winter day. One field had a couple of guys playing soccer. Another field had a guy setting up for what looked like drills of some sort. My family and I enjoyed a stroll around the track to just get outside and move a bit. One side of the track borders the parking lot; the other borders an industrial facility of some sort. Again, not particularly scenic, but if you need a track for exercise, it certainly gets the job done! The aquatic facility is pretty impressive. We have not used it, but I have received a tour of the facility. My tour did not include the changing rooms and showers. The indoor pools looked sizeable and were not too crowded on the day of my visit. But for me, the most impressive area was the outdoor swimming area. Lots of slides and fountains and fun. Looks like a great place for a day of leisure and play. We will definitely be back to enjoy one day in the summer!

Gabe kept the energy going, danced, and kept the games engaging. Jayden kept the score. They kept the energy up and Jayden had the right music playing for our group. My turns booked it but said there are various options to the games you could choose. We did the Family Feud style game, Fill in the Blank, corn hole and flip cups. My team was losing until flip cups lol. We came back and won the battle lol! My husband said he enjoyed it and would do it again & that he had more fun than he expected. That's a win in & of itself! lol Please bring cash or have Cash App to tip your host and game tech advisor person; I forgot the title lol. They make your game show battle experience fun! The restrooms were clean. They sell water, soft drinks, some beer, seltzers, and maybe wine and sports drinks. I don't think I saw any food for sell. It's all about the game show battles anyway! This venue is in the perimeter area near target and the forum. There is street and garage parking available for free. There is a separate entrance from the forum. When we arrived we were offered beer and wine. Then the game hosts came and introduced themselves and provided instructions. They divided us into two teams and had us select our nicknames and team name. Then we headed into the game room. We played several different games like wheel of fortune, family feud, and price is right. We had so much fun. After the games we returned into the first room and had food. This trail is going on my bookmarks…read more I had a great time hiking the 2 trails at Island Ford Park today. It was clean, well-maintained and peaceful with a lovely creek and lots of shade. Dog friendly and great for hiking alone or in a group, I highly recommend visiting the park in the evening. Trail #1 goes under Highway 400, so does get a bit noisy. Trail #2 goes through the Hewlett Lodge Visitor Center and is a good spot to picnic and take breaks. Each trail is about 3 miles to & fro and take roughly an hour or so each to complete them. There are no restrooms in the Island Ford Unit entrance so plan accordingly if you enter from that entrance. Parking is $5/day or free with the Annual pass or America the beautiful pass. Amenities: Wheelchair accessible entrance and parking, pet waste stations & picnic tables

Our hike was both fun and refreshing, and it gave us a glimpse of just how much this park has to offer. One of the highlights was discovering the variety of trails--each one winding through different landscapes and offering unique perspectives of the river and surrounding forest. That said, we've only scratched the surface. With so many trails still left to explore, it feels like we've only had a taste of the adventure waiting here. We also had the chance to tour the lodge, which was a fascinating stop. It shared the history of the site in an engaging way and offered interactive exhibits that were perfect for kids. It added an extra layer of fun and learning to our visit, making the experience even more memorable. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for hiking, family outings, and reconnecting with nature. We're already looking forward to coming back and experiencing more of the trails and activities we didn't get to this time.
