After dropping family off at the airport, I stopped by Crystal City for some good eats. As I approached Sweetgreen (my fav salad place), I made an executive decision to use Sunday's lunch as a splurge meal. Enter We, The Pizza. The restaurant was clean, moderately crowded and I was happy to find several nonmeat options like Forest Shroomin, Spinach artichoke, fresh Buffalo mozz/roasted tomato, and the White pie (ricotta, fontina, parm, mozz, roasted garlic). The cast iron Sicilian looked good as well. I finally decided to get a slice of forest shroom & simple cheese for later. Both were really fragrant and had a thin yet crispy chewy crust. However, that Forest Shroomin pie is a mushroom lover's dream! The flavors from those wild forest mushrooms, truffles, and truffle oil meshed really well together. I also enjoyed the cheese pizza with fresh oregano later. All this deliciousness for under $10. read more

This is absolutely the most expensive pizza I've ever had anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, the taste and quality doesn't match up with the price. The pizza toppings are of.very poor quality, and they don't put enough of them on the pizza. I grew up in CT, so I am extremely familiar with great pizza. This isn't great pizza. It's not even good pizza. I had one occasion where my delivery order was completely messed up, and when I called the manager, they didn't want to do anything about it. That was a slap in the face. Finally, they have recently decided to add an "environmental responsibility" tax to every order. Sorry, but I'm not going to finance your liberal stupidity. Especially not with the pizza as expensive as it already is. If you want to contribute to climate hysteria, take the funds from your end - don't try to add it to mine. Great place for ready made, heat to order pizza. You pick out the slice you want in the display and they will heat it up for you in about 5min. The best slice was the Colletti's Notorious BBQ pie! The slow pulled pork and BBQ sauce makes for a great tasting pizza. I thought the supreme pizza and the four cheese were good but average, would have been better if freshly made. My husband and I traveled to Arlington, VA to see a comedy performance. We didn't want to eat at that location and walked down Crystal Dr looking for a place to eat. My husband wanted pizza. I dont usually order pizza because I've never eaten pizza I enjoyed. My husband ordered the "Bacon Me Crazy" pizza and gave me a bite. It was the best pizza I've ever eaten. The crust had a buttery flavor and was crunchy. (The way I like it). The toppings were great. I will definitely return to this restaurant. The pepperoni pie is my favorite because there is tons of pepperoni and it is super crisp. I've ordered an artichoke pie before and that was good too. I normally get the wings as well. Good service. Decent pizza. I've been a few times and have never been completely disappointed or over the moon about it. I don't go that often but when I do, I get the lunch deal (two slices + a drink = $10) and hope to find a place to sit. I usually end up in the hallway which is weird, but nearby. The tables always require a little dusting, because there are always crumbs everywhere. The Italian sodas are good enough for me to forget how average the pizza is. Took my team here for a team lunch on Friday and we each ordered the two slice combo meal it comes with two slices and a drink for $10, which is a pretty great lunch deal if you ask me. They have a HUGE selection of different slices and we pretty much all got something different. The seasonal was a butternut squash, goat cheese balsamic heavenly combination that was so fall and basic I was dying. It was so delicious and I wish they served it all the time. I also got the buffalo chicken which was so good, but maybe a little too carb heavy for me with the breaded chicken. My coworkers got a variety of different pieces and really enjoyed their meals. 10 out of 10 would return. I want to try every slice! read more

So... I can't tell you how long I had been waiting for this place to open in Crystal City. When I heard it was finally open I had to stop by. Plus it's with in walking distance which is always great for me. I stopped by during lunch since they have their lunch special from 11-2:00PM. They have 2 lunch options...2 slices and a soda or 1 slice and a salad and a soda. I decided on 2 slices because I was there for pizza not salad... although that is something to try later on. Their pizza is premade so that its easier for reheating. Which is understandable because which pizza place isn't other then delivery. It's also helpful that they have pizzas so you can look at especially since everybody knows you eat with your eyes first. So after careful debate I decided on the Coletti's BBQ Pizza and the Roasted Tomato & Mozz and a Strawberry Lemonade housemade soda. Food: The Roasted Tomato & Mozz was actually really good flavorful and a burst of freshness... probably one of the best tomato and mozzarella pizzas I've had. The BBQ Pizza... was a bit on the dry side...I think a drizzle of BBQ sauce after reheat would've made it. .So some bites were slightly bland almost lackluster(a word I rarely use)....I was so excited to see that there were a lot of the crispy onions on top... however I'm guessing during reheat they became soggy cause they weren't crispy at all . Which was a little disappointing especially after trying the roasted tomato & mozz which had already blown me away flavor wise., Both pizzas had a great chew and a nice thick crispy crust. The roasted tomato and mozz was obviously saucier and was just a better flavor balance. Strawberry Lemonade Soda... part of me thought it was just normal lemonade... like freshly squeezed... I have no idea why... but it was still refreshing... I think I just to used to regular strawberry lemonade w/o carbonation... But for a homemade soda it was actually pretty good. None of that weird red syrup junk that just adds color to carbonated water. This has puréed strawberries that float to the top of your drink. Overall.... this meal set me back about $11.10 including tax. Now mind you these are huge slices.... with crust and all. And it came in a nice pizza box to go which for me its the small details that matter. Its as I always say your paying for quality and not quantity. Value wise.... eh... it is a bit expensive for a slice of pizza but If you've been to good stuff you know your paying for quality.... and at the we the pizza your getting quality. If the staff gets into working order perhaps service will be a bit faster. I'm keeping in mind that they are all still in training so... who knows maybe in the next few weeks or so they will be up and running. I had training in the area, and the aroma of pizza hit me smack dab in the face as I walked by, so I decided to grab a couple of slices to-go. I've been to the We, The Pizza on Capital Hill and wasn't impressed, but I thought that perhaps it was an off day or maybe it was just the location. Wishful thinking on my part. The pizza is just okay, nothing that I would consider trying a third time. You can either order an entire pie or by the slice. I decided to get a couple of slices, the double pepperoni and the spinach & artichoke. Both were lacking sauce, flavor and the crust was too doughy. Different strokes for different folks I guess, because people seem to like this place, but I've eaten many a pizza in my day, and I can honestly say, I've had much better. They offer homemade sodas and whatever else, but I wasn't focused on that when I stopped by. When the restaurant has PIZZA in the name of the restaurant, seems to me that the pizza would be the standout. The restaurant has a few tables inside, some in the mall area, and some outside. The chicken on the buffalo chicken was not great and the bacon me crazy was good. The real problem I had was that the pizza was not hot. This isn't good pizza. Equivalent to any cafeteria version, definitely not worth the price. Salads are OK, drinks are tasty. Pizza is way too salty, cheese pizza has hardly any cheese - didn't even cover the crust. Buffalo pizza had super dry chicken, and was so light on cheese and sauce the whole thing was just a dry salt bomb. Wings were ordered "extra crispy" and came slimy, not even a little bit crisp. All in all a really disappointing (and expensive) meal. Leftover pizza is one of the greatest things, but unfortunately all leftovers are going straight in the trash. read more

FULL DISCLOSURE--there was an incentive for us to try this place (complimentary lunch), but we did plan trying it out either way. Loved their setup and the homemade sodas. We all like the pizza! Colletti's BBQ - this is the way to go if you like pulled pork! Can't go wrong. White Pie- I was a little skeptical since this didn't have any meat...but OMG, this thing was crazy good. We, The Pizza is a gourmet pizza place of sorts for those in the Crystal City Shops. Food: The slices are huge. They aren't conservative with their toppings either, unlike other pizza chains. The Barbeque Pizza was topped excessively with onion straws that were nice and crisp. Crust was perfect. Though the overall pizza wasn't as savory as I would hope. The Spinach and Artichoke Pizza certainly had an earthy texture. Someone who exceedingly enjoys the veggy side of food could certainly enjoy it. It was a bit too heavy for me however. Besides carrying the regular drinks, they also have homemade sodas! I tried 2 of these sodas, and I was quite underwhelmed however. The Saparilla was terribly weak in any flavor and the Cream Soda was just as lacking. Service: They give you little discs that let you know when your order is ready, and I got my order in about 5 minutes. Atmosphere: Their decor inside the shop is quite interesting. A nod to a moment where people exercised their rights in a spectacular fashion decorate the walls. They also have pizza discs decorating the interior wall coming from the Crystal City Shops that are reminiscent of records that really age the concept of the shop well. They have a good amount of seating. A handful of tables inside the restaurant and a lot of tables on the outside of it, but still in the Crystal City Shops, so it can accommodate larger parties of 6-8. Finish: Good for a quick lunch. Awesome pizza from a cool spot. I would describe the pizza as over the top amazing. I got the lunch special with two slices and a handmade soda. The two slices were each about a pound and a half. I'm someone who likes to eat and I was contemplating saving some it for dinner. I got the Butcher's Block pizza (which was meat lovers) and the buffalo chicken pizza. The butcher's block pizza had every single nook and cranny covered in bacon bits. The buffalo chicken pizza actually used pieces of fried chick which was awesome. Why did I come back again and again? As far as cheap, fast casual pizza goes, this is damn good pizza. I loved the crust and the especially the mushroom pie. I filled up here many times on two of their large slices and wouldn't be hungry the rest of the day. I look back fondly on my time working in the DC area, and honestly part of that is looking back fondly upon the many slices I had here. We were in town for the marathon and our Airbnb was near We, The Pizza. The smells wafted out to us as we walked by and were tempting after traveling. I had heard of it before through Top Chef and was eager to try it. We ended up eating there between 4 and 5 times during our 5 day stay. We loved it! I stuck with the butternut squash and goat cheese slice. My friends loved the Hawaiian, white and sausage and pepper slices. The made to order sodas are incredible! They have a number of flavors including coconut, orange cream, ginger, and cream soda. They are a bit on the sweet side but they are so tasty. This place was the answer to our craving for some GOOD pizza in the Arlington/DC/National Harbor area. This is our second visit. It's not a totally authentic locally owned spot with owners from Sicily or anything. But it is infinitely better than any other chain pizza. We would rather wait for a hot fresh pizza than pick slices from the display. They did a half & half for us. The garlic knots were great, sauce was good, sweet cinnamon knots delicious, and they have fountain drinks (Coke) with free refills. Restaurant is well-lit, clean, nice bathrooms. Music is a little loud, but fun & upbeat. They say their draft beers are served at 32 degrees. Parking is free in the deck next door from 4pm-8pm M-F and all day on weekends. Toppings are very high-quality and plentiful. Prices aren't cheap, but worth it! Excellent value, excellent meal. read more
