My Tesla windshield and body was damaged by a deer. From the my first phone call to Inn Roe, service rep, to the delivery of my car, I couldn't have had a better experience. Went to get estimate on a brand new car with 125 miles on it. Was told $5000 for cosmetic repairs the tire disintegrated and it is still not confirmed that the dealership did a thorough PDI (Product Dealership Inspection) since the one obtained does not have the VIN on it. Went back for written estimate that went up to $6500 apparently it cost a lot to get it in writing. More rude behavior. Apparently they have a distain for consumers once the purchase of the BMW is complete. Now told it will take two weeks to get part. Apparently on a slow boat from Germany. read more

Horribly unprofessional. Dealt with the estimator "Maurice", who took a look at the car, went in the back, and returned with an outrageous estimate of over 1.2k. (Later other body shops estimated around 6-7 hundred). This seemed a bit off so I inquired about how they estimate the # of hours required for work, and on the big sign hanging in the front it says something to the effect of: "the rates and hours for estimation are published on our rate guide". Only when I asked about this mysterious rate guide that they publish all the guidelines of what they do in... THEY DID NOT HAVE IT. As far as I know, Mr. Maurice "The Estimator" Perry could have pulled the labor hours out of thin air. Then when I tried to negotiate, he was condescending in his demeanor and I think he was upset I had called them out on their missing "rate guide" that they CLAIM (in clear view) exists and have all their guidelines for repair rates published therein. I highly recommend coming here if you want to be either a. ripped off, or b. treated in a hostile manner if you reject their initial outrageous and obscene estimate. read more

This body shop does top notch work! You car will come out looking new as if you drove right off the dealership lot again! My E46 330ci has made numerous trips here sadly (my car seems to be surrounded by horrible drivers). The first trip was the hit&run on the rear bumper, the shop took care of the car and made sure to use all new materials, especially the padding behind the bumper since the impact was hard. The other two trips back was fender work on the rear when some idiots shopping cart plowed into the fender line. The most recent which was the worse accident, was when the front fender and wheel were smashed into. Bill took care of most of the work and insurance work for my car. The only reason I give this place 3 stars is because their work quality seems to be slipping lately. My car has expensive wheels, and some paint thinner was spilled all over the lip, causing discoloration. They didn't even tell me and the mechanic rubbed it off making the mistake more obvious and worse looking. Also, I have an E90 330i that I wanted to have a m-tech body kit from BMW installed and painted, this body shop does not do modifications, only accident repairs. read more

My newer Tesla Model S had the rear bumper popped loose after backing at low speed into a neighbor's driveway, and hitting a low garden edging board. The very tough Tesla bumper was not materially dented or damaged apart from one of the plastic fastening fins cracking as it was pulled loose. Johnny at the Weatherford BMW Collision Center in Berkeley was super communicative and responsive to my request to try to re-attach the existing bumper to the one retainer bolt in question. Johnny offered to do the repair gratis, and completed the job very cleanly in under 10 min! We were tremendously impressed with Johnny, and are most grateful for his kind help above and beyond normal expectations. All the staff we interacted with at the Collision Center were very conscientious in following their physical distancing practices while being warm and helpful. We will definitely recommend BMW Collision Center and Johnny very strongly to any of our fellow Tesla owners in need of collision repair service, and know where we will go for any further body work we may need to have done in the future! read more

I wish to preface that this review is only for the Weatherford BODY SHOP. This review does not reflect upon the service provided by the Service Center which has always provided me with excellent service. This saga began in April 2013. I had water damage to the carpets in my car. My comprehensive insurance coverage approved the replacement of the carpets and I was in business to finally get the moldy carpet out of my car...or so I thought! I took my car into the body shop to get a color match and order the new carpets. They told me that it would take six weeks for the carpet to arrive since it was being shipped from Germany. Okay...guess I just have to wait a while longer. After almost 3 months the carpet arrives and I bring my car into the shop for the long overdue makeover. Luckily before they were about to install the carpet, I asked to see it and to my bewilderment, the carpet appeared to be two different colors (the back piece a darker color than the front piece.) I did not want to believe that after waiting nearly 3 months, we got the wrong carpet so I asked them to open the rolls in case it was the way the nap laid but no such luck. The carpet was decidedly of two different colors. So back to the drawing board to order another set of carpets of the right shade and another couple of months of waiting around. Then, I get the call that the carpet is here but guess what? It is the same deal as last time...two different colors!!!! What??? Is this a sick joke? They tried to order the carpet for the third time but they were told there were no matching dye lots. Up to this point, I could not blame the body shop for the carpet bungling so far. However, I had noticed that there was no enthusiasm or concerted effort put into expediting the carpet order since it was now six months later from my initial visit. There was no communication from the body shop; as if they had just swept me under the (carpet) rug. Nobody seemed interested in talking to my insurance company to coordinate things as the events transpired. I called BMW USA and lodged my complaint about the incompetence and the outrageous delays and they said they would look into the matter. They would let the service manager at Weatherford know about this situation. I then got a call from Thomas, the service manager's assistant about the problem with the carpet order. At this point, I am dealing with the Service division and not the Body shop center. Thomas was responsive and followed up which was markedly different treatment that I received from the Body shop. After much ado about getting nowhere, Thomas informed me that because of the older model of my vehicle, there would be no way to get a matched set of carpets since they were from different dye lots. He offered the suggestion that I take the two different shades of carpet and have it dyed by someone they could recommend but that this would have to be done through the body shop and not the service center. He told me to call Frank, the body shop manager, and coordinate the dyeing/installation of the carpet. I called Frank and got his voicemail. I left him a detailed message as to what happened and the suggestion that Thomas made and asked him to call me back. The call never came...the manager of the body shop did not even bother to call back. By this time, I was thoroughly disgusted at how I was treated by the Body shop and their utter recalcitrance in working with my insurance company and following up with me. I decided to not pursue working with them for my carpet replacement since they couldn't be bothered anyway. I stopped dealing with them and I called my insurance company to let them know that I will pursue another avenue. The insurance company has been much more accommodating and far more pleasant to deal with than the service provider...how often is that the case??? All I can say is that, had the replacement of my carpets had not been through the insurance but rather, out of pocket, I would have had a far different and more favorable experience. Because of having to adhere to the rates authorized by the insurance company, no one was interested in seeing the job through or keeping the customer happy. Every other time, when I paid out of pocket, I was treated like a queen but the mere mention of an insurance claim and the eyes start rolling. This is the worst experience I have had with Weatherford BMW. I don't know if the body shop is a sub contractor or a subsidiary of Weatherford, but it does not bode well for the company. The lousy customer service of the body shop reflects badly on Weatherford as a whole. If they want to keep their loyal customers, then they had better change their attitude towards how they handle insurance claims. Nine times out of ten you get to gouge the customer with your full price but once in awhile you need to work with the insurance adjusted rates to keep the customer happy. I call that more than fair from the service provider's point of view! read more

The reason I am giving 5 stars to this place because of Maurice and Cheng. I sent my 1 series last year to get my trunk repainted. The spoiler and the glue used to attached the spoiler damaged the new paint. The craftsmanship was a bit questionable for that visit. Maurice helped me out tremendously after I sent my car back in last week to get the trunk repainted. The quality of the work this time is fantastic. Maurice recognized the paint job was an issue, and took care of it. It was a pleasure to work with him. Cheng graciously drove me from and to the collision center. When doing battle with insurance companies, we need all the allies that we can afford. Weatherford BMW Body Shop is an ally. These folks have traded blows on my behalf. While their attention to the details of the primary repair work was impressive, the shop dropped a couple balls: an aspect of the repair was forgotten while an ancillary component of my vehicle was not returned in its original condition. Their communication skills are predictably lax so some daily nagging goes a long way. read more

Weatherford BMW collision center is by far the best autobody experience I have ever had. Weatherford BMW is 1 of 3 body shops in North America who is certified directly through BMW of North America. Other shops claim they are authorized BMW repair centers but there is a huge difference between certified and authorized. Everyone that was involved in the repair of my car was BMW certified. When owning a BMW you want the best. If you want the best repair than I suggest Weatherford BMW. I originally took my car to Autobahn Collision in Belmont, California because they told me they were an authorized BMW repair center. When they went over the details regarding the repair (bent strut tower) they stated that the engine and transmission would HAVE to be removed in order to be complete the repair. Then they told me they didn't have the Chassis rack because it's specific to BMW models. I said to myself, "If you are an authorized BMW shop, why don't you have these tools readily available?". They had no answer. I told Autobahn collision to hold off and I went home and did some research. After some googling and Internet searching I quickly learned the difference between authorized and certified. This is when I found Weatherford BMW collision center of Oakland. My cats engine and transmission did not need to be removed because they knew official BMW repair Instructions. The repair bill went from $16,xxx to $9,xxx. Insurance paid so money wasn't an issue but removing my engine and transmission was my biggest worry... Sometimes things aren't the same after that extensive of a repair. Within about two weeks my car was completely repaired and drove just like new. Ask for Frank, Maurice or Regina. If they are not available I'm sure you will receive superior service from anyone on their staff read more

Excellent customer service from this shop, especially from Maurice! On March 19th I brought my car in to have the passenger window repaired (needed a glass replacement from a break-in). Since my insurance would be covering most of the costs for the repairs, I was happy to let them handle the particulars. My car was in this shop again for a second job, namely, a windshield replacement. The job was not cheap but the quality and fitment are good. The new rain sensor acted up a bit initially, but seems to self-correct in recent rains. While the car was in the shop, Clay attempted to bluff out the bad paint spots from the first bumper job, but eventually repainted the bumper when the initial attempt burned through the clear coat!:) The repaint seems to be OK so far. Clay also gave me a loaner during the second job, and that helped a lot. From the two jobs plus the repaint, this shop does produce good quality work(when done right), and does stand behind its work. One suggestion is to not skip on BMW's tech specs and procedures, and get repair done right the first time. read more

Took in my 435i gran coupe for rear end damage. The insurance company gave me a minimal estimate. Clay was awesome in helping me with the supplemental to make sure my vehicle was properly fixed. There was a gash in the rear bumper and Clay was able to get my bumper replaced with a new bumper and painted. The car looks new again. I've been dealing with this body shop for over 15 years and their customer service is now better than I remember. I don't understand how a business can run without making appointments or knowing when they would be able to help you. My car got into an accident which required a minor repair. I preferred to use a body shop affiliated with the dealer that I purchased my car from and so I tried to bring it here, but 3 separate times I was asked to call again on the following Monday so I can see if you can bring it in. When I asked if I could just make an appointment in the future, they said they did not do it. How do they even stay in business? I would have been extremely concerned with leaving my car here. I ended up going to EMC Collision in Fremont (close to work) and was very happy with their professionalism. In short, this place is terrible and unprofessional. read more

My first visit was less than satisfactory. If i did not need my car repaired i would have pulled it out of there. They were not accomodating and the work is no different than any other BMW service center I've been.. I've moved from so-cal and the service from the Irvine BMW (as well as the one here at Fremont) were exemplary. The people here seem all pre occupied with something and won't even have time to say hi or ask you if you need help. I would understand if the place was packed but this was 2pm and no other clients were around. 2nd visit, thought to give this place another try, was worse than the first one. Again, they pass you on to each person on the desks until you find someone to help you. And as soon as that person sees you, you get this feeling that you just distracted him from doing something so important and that you better have a good reason for him to waste his precious time on you. The worst part is they charge you an arm and a leg and then some for the services.. Went there for a sun roof that won't close. Got a call saying the estimated fee was $4k! I just got my car overhauled a few months ago in Fremont and it only cost me $1.8k and that includes the engine which.. Uh i dont know.. makes the car move?! As soon as i said no i'll just pick up the car, the guy says "well you know, we have a 15% discount coupon for today but this is the last day so you have decide now so we could lessen the charges to around $3.6k".. So why didn't he tell me this before? And that's just less 10% btw.. When I answered still no.. He's like, "Well you have to pay for the diagnostics still.." And hung up.. Pulled the car out of there and i dont care if BMW Fremont is far.. I'm not taking my car back to this place ever again. read more

I had an amateurish and very frustrating experience with BMW roadside assist, poor communication (cancelled appointments, wrong equipment, 3 hours late) to their out-sourced towing company cost me a day of work and then they would not tow my car to WBMWBS as it was not in their system (they would only tow to the BMW showroom). Frank and Bill were incredibly helpful and understanding, they took charge and figured out that 4 different people at BMW assist did not understand that a missing wheel qualifies as a repair and coordinated the pick-up. They even offered to drive to my house with the appropriate jack (that the tow company did not bring). Once we got the car to the repair shop everything was done in a jiffy. Professional, courteous, great service and pricing was on par with other quotes. Overall highly recommended. read more

First, I would like to start off by saying that I am more than pleased with the work that was done on my '07 328i at this body shop and I would like to say THANK YOU to the entire team at Weatherford BMW Collision Center. Simply put, they are all courteous, professional and provide great customer service! I was rear ended pretty bad on Highway 4 and my 328i sustained significant right rear damage. Since this was the first bad accident I had ever been involved in, I honestly didn't know what to expect and I didn't know whom I could really trust to restore my car. It may seem a little silly, but initially I was rather overwhelmed dealing with insurance companies and trying to decide "where" I was going to take my car. A friend and fellow BMW enthusiast advised me to consider taking my car to get certified BMW repairs and parts and referred me to this body shop; I'm thankful she told me about Weatherford BMW's Collision Center. When I initially called I was greeted on the phone by Regina. She was so nice and so friendly and took the time to answer my questions. I made arrangements to bring my car in (it was still drivable) and when I did I was greeted by Frank and Maurice. They were both very professional and courteous. They also took the time to answer my questions and they assured me that my car was in good hands. They were right. My car was there for approximately 3 weeks. Maurice was great about calling me to give me updates re the repairs as well as updates when he talked to my insurance company. When I picked my car up I couldn't have been more pleased. TL;DR The staff were friendly, but I was pretty unhappy with my experience and had to get some problems from sloppy bodywork fixed at my own mechanic. I was in an accident and my insurance picked Weatherford BMW for the repairs. It was overall a pretty bad experience-  First, they couldn't accept my vehicle at our appointment time because they were too full and then when I came back, they had lost my paperwork. The work took a week and a half longer than expected and cost over $1000 more than their original estimate (which was ok for me because insurance covered it, but $1000 seemed a bit steep). Immediately after I got my car back, I noticed a very loud rattling noise that had not been there before the body work. I called them and took it back the next day to see what was going on, but after looking at it, they told me it wasn't their fault and was only because of the age of the car (not fixable). I took my car to my own mechanic a month or so later and he fixed the rattling noise in a matter of seconds. The hood wasn't aligned properly and all he had to do was lower it on one side a bit. He showed me that it seemed like they had purposefully not aligned it properly because they were trying to cover up some un-repaired damage near my headlights. We walked around the car and he showed me a few signs of sloppy body work, including a part of my bumper that was popping out. He also told me that all of the replaced parts and repairs should have cost less than $1000 (my total bill was ~$3000). Again, not a huge issue for me because I didn't have to pay for it, but still startling considering the quality of work done. read more

It has been years since we brought my car in. My girlfriend recently brought it in after a minor bang with the driver side mirror. After reading the more recent yelp reviews, we were somewhat hesitant. However, once she called and talked to Maurice, she was immediately impressed. He was professional and prompt in providing a quote. The original quote was done over the phone; however, after seeing the actual damage, the total cost was half the quote. He provided updates throughout the two days that they had our car. Even while she was waiting, others came up to make sure she had been helped. I have mixed feelings about my whole experience at Weatherford BMW Body Shop. I am now going into the 3rd month and my X3 is still being fixed. I have been working with Maurice and overall the communication has been satisfactory. He is friendly and is trying his best to work with me. Though, he assured me it shouldn't take more than a month to fix at the most and I am still X3-less. They did give me a loaner after being frustrated that I was still being left hanging.
