So... we lived in ABQ for some time in the 90's and became addicted to green chili huevos. Moved to Colorado and travel to ABQ once a year to buy green chili and usually pre made huevos sauce from Weck's, cause we suck at making it ourselves. Then the tragedy struck, our freezer just up and died... all green chili lost. Emergency trip to ABQ to pick up more stock. We explained the situation and the manager was very understanding. I show up to pick up the 30 quarts and tell the manager how I need to "try" to freeze all of it by the next day and he offers to not only freeze in his freezer, but bag it in flat packs so it fits in my travel cooler... Holy cow, I could not have traveled unless it was frozen solid and he came through big time, I can't say enough nice things about this location, class all the way. read more

Best waffle EVER! This location is more modern than any Weck's I've been to in the past. The staff were all very helpful and prompt. I ordered a waffle. Simple and crisp. It was the best waffle. My husbands dish wasn't hot, but he was too hungry to have Weck's fulfilling their stated promise to fix any issue as soon as it's identified. I have no doubt they would have heated his meal with a smile. I crave those waffles and have no idea how they get it so crispy, but I'll be back for more. read more

I love Wecks! But along with their spectacular Papas, the service at this location absolutely blew me away! The manager, Kirk, was absolutely exceptional making sure every customer had what they needed. Not only did he turn on the soccer game we were hoping to watch, but my husband has sensitive teeth and crispness of the papas was causing him some pain so the manager offered to get him a bowl of non-crispy papas with cheese and green sauce. They were incredibly busy and yet the way we were treated made us feel like we were the only customers. Way to go Wecks! read more

Easy location to get to from the interstate, with adequate parking. Big spacious seating area with super friendly waiters. We came in for breakfast since my wife recommended it. I had the Denver omelette with hash browns, which comes garnished with melted cheese. Wife had breakfast burrito, smothered with green and red Chile (Christmas) with hash browns as well. Went to Wecks the other day for breakfast. Huevos Rancheros were really good. Chile had a lot of flavor. What made it so good was our waiter Sean. Weck's is an ABQ classic. It's a local chain of breakfast places that serve all the classics as well as NM favorites. Yes, you can get green chili on anything, of course. Their pile of potatoes with eggs, cheese and chili is my go-to. But their pancakes, french toast and cinnamon rolls are all quite excellent! read more

*4.5 stars* If you look around at all the numerous Weck's locations, you'll notice a common trend. Good reviews galore! Why is this, I wonder? Just kidding, it's obvious... Great food, great service, great ambiance, great prices, great coffee, etc. Vegetarian friendly, too! My partner and I were actually able to share one large breakfast burrito and boy was it stellar. We ordered a side of pancakes too and they (I kid you not) were some of the best flapjacks I've ever had!. The only reason for a minor reduction of star-age is due to the fact that the very awesome waitress failed to mention that the offer for "French Vanilla Coffee" instead of regular meant an additional $2! charge. I did NOT see that coming! Def something she should have warned the customer about beforehand. But, that being said, even that coffee flavor was great. This place is generally clean and the staff are friendly. The layout is kinda odd, but nothing off-putting. The servers are quick and efficient, and the menu has a wide variety of choices. I have always ordered breakfast, but have been with folks who have ordered lunch as well. I really like the Farmer's Market omelette. It's chock full of lots of good veggies, and they don't seem to mind when I customize it a bit. It comes with hash browns - which could be browner - and a bread of your choice. Lots of carbs there, but you don't HAVE to eat them, right? The biscuits are pretty tasty, too! The pancakes, which are enormous, are also pretty darn good! Ditto the huge cinnamon rolls! Everything else seems to be pretty decent as well. I have had one of their papas bowls and enjoyed it. While we have never had a complaint from anyone we have dined with here, it's also not a spectacular culinary event. It's good for breakfast, and we like it, but it's just good, fill-you-up breakfast (or lunch) fare, nothing out of the ordinary or unusually delectable. Worth going if you wake up hungry. read more

What can I say about this location that hasn't already been said. I come to this location every weekend and any other day that I don't have to work. We came in both Saturday and Sunday this last weekend. You have to get there early because it gets busy in a hurry. We were greeted by Kim who promptly greeted and sat us. Kirk and his staff know how to take care of people. Sunday my wife had a breakfast burrito with bacon and ham smothered with red and green. It was delicious. . . I had to have a bite. I had the BLT with a double order of onion rings. It was Wecksellent! Special shout out to my favorite waitress Kristen who always makes our breakfast awesome. We recently moved to New Mexico and tried a few Weck's restaurants in town for breakfast, then found Weck's on Juan Tabo NE and it changed our weekend mornings thanks to the Manager Kirk Powell. Kirk runs a great restaurant with a great atmosphere, filled with a great staff and many happy customers. Weck's is my favorite Albuquerque breakfast spot and on my last trip there I got takeout from this location. I always order the Sloppy Papas with red & green chile and eggs over medium. Definitely the place to go for a big breakfast. I always order a breakfast burrito (the portions are HUGE), it's not like THE BEST New Mexican style breakfast burrito, but, it is good. Then again....anything with green and red chili on it tastes good.... Service is very good at this location. What happen to this location? Weck's is my favorite restaurant so we frequent their many locations often. This is the first time ever I've been truly disappointed. .. with just about everything. The host wasn't very friendly and super preoccupied with the bus boy that parks himself at the host stand when there isn't a table to clear. She also doesn't listen very well and had our table set for one less than our party so the baby had to sit on laps the whole time. The waitress was awful. I had to ask 4 times for lemon for my water. 4 TIMES! The food portions were smaller than they used to be or made incorrectly. The eggs were overcooked as was the bacon. The manager Ivan (I think that is what he said) was nice enough. He fixed my plate that was missing food (well, some of it. I still didn't get the tortilla that usually comes with it) This trip just didn't live up to the Weck's standards we are used to. And I can't say it was just one thing. The guy who seated us let us know the coffee of day and awed if we had any questions about he menu. Our server was great! My mom in law and I went to this Weck's for breakfast. Fairly hopping so had about a 10 min wait, took no time to get a table really. Our server,Gabby, was great and got us squared away quickly. While we were waiting for our food, the manager, a lovely gentleman who's name I did not get, asked if we would mind moving to another table in order to seat a large party. In town for a visit. Very nice spot, first impression was very very clean and friendly. The staff was on top of their game with their customer service skills. It was suppose to only be me and my brother but my parents and their friends stopped by but didn't eat. Did not phase the staff whatsoever and I am thankful of that. Ordered the burrito with bacon.
