I spoke to the owner Stephen several times and ended up hiring him to have his crew come to Orange County to move us to Palm Desert. He sent two large trucks and six very well qualified and coordinated men to move us. It went like clockwork. These men were all in sync with each other. Douglas reached out to me with an offer of exactly what I needed: two movers to help load…read morealready-packed boxes and some furniture into a truck I rented at my pick up location, and to help unload at my destination ~50 miles away. Every other company I talked to was trying to charge me double time for the drive, even if they didn't have to use their own truck. Douglas called me later in the day to talk through logistics, and he estimated and quoted me for four hours of work with a $60 fee to get his guys back to Indio from San Diego. I thought the price was very fair and Douglas was personable and seemed trustworthy so I gave this business a chance despite their limited reviews. I'm so glad I did! Douglas sent out Theodis and Damien to help with the move, and it was the best moving experience I've ever had (and I've moved 16 times in my life). Even though the boxes were wrapped ridiculously from my move down from LA, they were very understanding and packed the truck way more efficiently than the last guys. Both men were friendly, and along with helping me with my move (up quite a few stairs at my destination), they also helped my dad move some of his stuff. Additionally, I accidentally gave Theodis $20 more than I was quoted, and he was honest about it and returned the extra. How awesome! I recommend them and would call A-1 in a heartbeat if I ever have to move within their service area again!

They were expert at tetrising EVERYTHING into our 27' trailer. They were extremely courteous and FAST! Easy to deal with Douglas, the owner. Easy to contact and the packing was well organized, everyone showed up on time and handled the entire packing, even though we needed them for many hours more than booked. I have absolutely no problem recommending them to you!
