We were in town for a conference and stayed at the Westin. The Wee Pub is right there on the corner so we thought we would check it out. It was late on a Wednesday and there was a gentleman singing and playing the guitar which was very nice. My husband had Fish and chips and they looked great. He said it was delicious. We also splurged and shared their bread pudding with caramel and sugar. It was amazing. We returned tonight and had the half sandwich and salad. My turkey melt was excellent as was his Ruben. We only had the opportunity to have drinks and dessert. Lots of locals here on a Monday night, which is always a good sign. The pecan bread pudding is the best bread pudding I've ever had. Wish we would've dined here for dinner, but live and learn! read more

We camp on Jekyll a lot. And we always hit this place two or three times every time we stay on the island. Best Fish and Chips ever! Sat at the bar tonight for our first visit to Wer Pub. Our bartender Ace was working his tail off waiting on us, several tables and the phone but made it seem effortless. He was friendly and fun. We attempted to eat at this restaurant the night we arrived on the island (July 5) and did not have any luck. The hours showed that it closed at 11:00 pm and we arrived at 7:45 pm. We were told that they were not seating any more customers and would not take a to-go order. On July 7, we decided to give the restaurant a second chance on a to-go order. I called and the lady who answered the phone asked me how many were in my party and then put me on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up and called back 20 minutes later. The second time, I tried to make an order, I heard the lady say "oh my gah" and then hung up on me. We never had the chance to eat at the restaurant and will never eat at this restaurant. read more

I was at Jekyll Island with family and after about a week my wife and I had someone suggest the "Wee Pub Beach". I asked around and everyone agreed it was a place to try. On st Patrick's day I went there to order five adult and two kid lunch's. Everyone was every happy with their meals. Two corn beef dinners, drunk chicken salad, two kid chicken fingers, bacon cheeseburger,,,, Plenty of food at a reasonable price. We also had a few green beers. I went back later and they had a good band providing entertainment. I will visit the place next time I am in the area. read more

Ugh! Went for a quick bite. One table outside occupied and one table inside occupied. Should have been a red flag at 5:30 p.m. and the place was empty. Staff needs adult supervision. No one around so goofing off and wrestling, yes wrestling in the aisle. Sat at the bar and it was littered with past patrons dirty dishes. If you have that much time on your hands to be wrestling it would be better spent cleaning up the place. Place needs a deep cleaning, just dirty and dusty. Food was mediocre at best. Soup, salad, and what was supposed to be a reuben...how can you screw that up? You are in the heart of Jekyll, do better. read more

If you're like me and need your share of nightlife--even on an island where everything essentially shuts down after sunset--then this is the right place for you. My wife and I were spending the weekend on Jekyll Island recently, and discovered that Wee was the only bar/restaurant open until midnight. Our first night on Jekyll we were quite ravenous around 10.30, so we decided to drop in. By then there wasn't much on the menu that we could have other than chicken wings, which was ok. Both the wings and fries were made fresh and had good flavor. Pub owner/operators Kaden and Myranda were both working the bar. They were attentive and friendly, and made sure our glasses remained full as we sampled a few local craft beers and polished off a bottle of Tullamore Dew. Little did we know that we would have to sign our now-empty bottle so they could add it to their Wall of Fame. That was a nice surprise! Overall we had a pleasant time. My only criticism of the experience is that the drink prices were a lot higher than we expected. The pub might be affiliated with the Westin resort across the street, which would explain the drink prices... not to mention the late-night supply vs. demand for bars. read more

I was in Jekyll for a Physical Education Conference that is held every year and it was my first time attending. This was the place I went for meals and night life. We all know that Jekyll is pretty dead ESPECIALLY during January. That being said, my friends and I enjoyed every meal and every evening (Wed, Thurs, and Friday). The service for food is slow, but well worth the wait. For the price, quality and quantity of food Wee Pub is worth every penny. Live music on Thursdays is worth it! read more

We ordered the stout and ale battered onion rings and barbecue sauce for an appetizer. The onion rings were the best we ever had. The outer coating of the onion rings was crispy and the onions were well cooked and did not come out of the breading. The barbecue sauce had hints of mustard, honey and was flavorful and delicious. Melissa was our server and checked in with us just right. My husband ordered the Black-N-Bleu Burger (Angus beef burger with home made bleu cheese dressing, blackening seasoning, bacon & crispy fried onions) with fries. He said it was the best meal we compared to all the other meals we had just had in Orlando, FL. I had the fish tacos ( grilled white fish filets with coleslaw, a drizzle of cusabi ranch dressing and sweet thai chili sauce in 2 soft taco shells.). The fish tacos were aesthetically pleasing to look at and had a little heat though not so much that your nose is running. The fries that we had were the best, crunchy, not dry. Really delicious. This place definitely took me by surprise! When you head to an island, one of the first things you think about concerning food is, well, seafood... not an Irish pub. However, this little corner pub can definitely hold its own! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the wait time. We had to wait around an hour to be seated, but being nestled in with beach shops & tourist traps, we were easily distracted. When we finally got to our table, we decided to try the crab dip & tortilla chips for an appetizer... O.M.G.! So good! My fiancé & I also decided to share the Philly Fries (which is also an appetizer, but could very well be it's own meal). Now, I quite enjoy Philly's, so naturally I was interested in this wonderful combination! I also love cheese & this was COVERED in it! Ahhh it was so good!!! My son had a grilled cheese sandwich & fries... typical kids menu, nothing extravagant, but be liked it, so we were happy. He was supposed to have gotten a frisbee, but eh, we weren't that concerned.
