After 5 years giving these guys untold amounts of money, they finally lost my patronage. They aerify fescue way too early. My back yard has been completely reduced to dirt yet again. Any attempt to work with them was a waste of time. They always want more money for the next treatment but never produce a decent product. I'm told by my lawn care service they seeded and then sprayed pre emergent keeping the seeds from germination. Total incompetence! read more

I wish I could leave no stars! Where to begin!! Do not hire this company! I will show all images and damage to our lawn. We hired weedman to treat our lawn after moving into our new house. Our lawn was decent but had quite a bit of moss. I spent the fall of 2019 raking the moss myself, treating the ground with top soil and rich compost. I reseeded and by spring we had a beautiful green lawn. See pictures. Weedman came and after a few treatments they chemically burned our lawn! Good bye green grass!! The only offer/solution was to aerate and reseed this fall for free. While waiting for the aeration time, the dead grass turned to moss and weeds took over. I continually called weedman asking them to treat the moss and weeds knowing that if moss took over it would again have to be raked before re-seeding. They came a few times but treatments didn't work. The moss continued to grow. Last month they came to aerate. I talked to the technicians several times and they told me, to my face, that they would rake the moss before aerating to ensure the seeds would grow. This did not happen. Instead they aerated over the moss. So the seeds have scarcely grown. I complained again that this was done incorrectly. I even spoke with a corporate manager! I have sent countless emails with pictures. I never heard back for a solution but did come home to find that they aerated my lawn a second time, without my knowledge or any warning. Due to lack of warning, I was not home when this took place and therefore could not talk to the technicians about our lawn. Needless to say, our irrigation was not marked and their heavy machinery punctured holes in a drainage pipe that flows the length of our front lawn. Yet another expense they have caused me. Also of note, we decided to resod the back yard in July. I asked that weedman not touch our backyard due to the new sod. This was made very clear to all technicians that came to our residence. However, when they came to aerate our lawn again for the second time (the time without my knowledge) they also aerated the new sod in the backyard. (Mind you, this is Bermuda grass and does not need to be aerated in the fall!) also of note, the heavy machines picked up my new sod and left it in piles. The technicians didn't even bother to try and place it back! Since all of this, I have received countless emails and phone calls encouraging other services, that have nothing to do with my current situation! Things like aeration treatments and packages, grub treatments...you make it. What I haven't received is a phone call with financial compensation for the mess they have already caused. They keep trying to sell us treatments, which why would I even want after the damage they have caused?? Also before every visit I get a phone call the day before or a few days before telling me they will be treating the lawn, however they never show! So I will rearrange my day to be home and no one comes. Then they show up unannounced and I come home to a lovely invoice on my door and a ruined lawn. They also leave their little yellow weedman bags all over your lawn like it's a trash can! Managers don't really seem to care, as I keep getting brushed off and charged for treatments I have requested not be done. In fact, they have pretty much done everything I have asked them NOT to do. If I were you, I would find an honest, customer service oriented lawn care company to handle your lawn care needs. Trust me, weedman is not this! Need proof?! See the images below. read more

Don't even waste your time. We prepaid for select services for the year a year in advance. They choose to add on many other services and by month #2 they had exhausted all of our prepaid funds and had a $450 bill due. We also had to have the service tech redo jobs because the were only doing 2/3 to half the lawn nearly ever visit. We talk with Nick with customer service. No help!!!! This place is the worst. They want to keep upselling you on all these other services. DONT get me started on the amount of times they call you everyday. There is just as many weeds in the lawn as their was when they first started. They missed spots in the yard and when you get the free "retreatments" they either dont get out of the truck other than to put a sign in the yard or they dont even show up. I have cameras and I work from home so when talking to the retention department I could prove it but all they want to do is negotiate the rate of service instead of actually holding their people accountable to actually doing the service that is paid for. Super unprofessional company and cant even do the basics that is treating your lawn. Literally better off treating my lawn with roundup myself. Do yourself a favor and find anyone else. PS. I used Weedman last year and have prepaid for 2024. I work from home so I was home every time they came and saw everything they did. I joined late in the 2023 season but they managed to take care of all the weeds and my lawn looked great all season. Expecting more of the same for 2024. They are a little pricy but I don't have any frame of reference. I put in a request for another lawn service to get a quote but never heard back from them so I'll stick with Weedman. read more

my grass was almost dead and my wallet was empty by the time I got rid of these guys. i cancelled the service and then got charged for another service that was not done. i could not get anyone in the office to take care of this issue. they have reported this to the credit bureau and trying to work through this has been so difficult. this branch has had a great deal of trouble with management over recent years. I switch to another lawn care service and thank goodness my grass has survived. my shrubs are still struggling. Thankfully i am not a customer with this company... But was unfortunately required to deal with them due to negligence and bad business practices. I was required to talk to 6 people at the roswell location and still have not received a resolution. When calling them you get an automated answer telling you they only see your lawns 8 times a year. Communication is important. The first person i talked with gave me a invalid phone number that he told me was his complaint department he did not give his name and i later found out there is not an outside number for complaints also the number was not in service. Second person Jay asked me to email him and never received an email back. Third person Jennifer transfers me to someone else. His enjoyed telling me about nsync mansion they service had a truck get stuck on its property and also never got back with me. I call back get Jennifer again and talk with a woman named shaq/shack. She still has not gotten back with me. My concern was that i did not request a quote or estimate and them soliciting my property with there services. In my county if you solicite property your required to go and register with the county az a solicitor to verify np criminal background since your going door to door. The office manager said they are not required to have this and i was free to contact law enforcement for the property damages. The reason I know my house was solicited for services is the driver giving free estimates was parked in my driveway for 3 minutes with his loud ford work truck running with a 500 gallon tank on the back of it. My dogs barked the entire time. I later look at footage and he reached into my fence and opened it from the inside. He leaves an estimate on my door. Next he chooses to leave the drive way run off the driveway and leave a 3inch rut in my yard. I am floored how estimates are given out in a heavy duty work truck. I decided to call other states that have this franchises. The practices going on in roswell ga are not how at least 4 other franchises are operating. Some are father son business some are not. This one was by far the most unprofessional "weedman" Franchise i spoke with. I would suggest staying far away for lawn services. I wish one of the other franchise owners were at this location. All I can say is that we saw what we thought were positive reviews on next door and gave weed man a chance.. the gentleman who contacted us promised us a bundle deal and we figured we would give it a shot to tackle our front yard. We were never given an exact time to when they would be arriving to spray our yard. My boyfriend would try to keep the yard mowed prior to the company coming so it was able to intake product better. Texts and calls led to nothing. They would show up at random times and days (never exact to what they would mention via texts). Our yard did not seem like it was getting better. A few months in, the representative changes. He knocks on our door and lo and behold that is the first time someone even acknowledged they were there. He even told us that our yard looked horrible and should not be looking like this. We let the company know we were not wanting to move forward due to our grass consistently dying and yet they decided to go ahead and spray even when we asked them not to. A year later and our front yard is completely dead and we are going to have to input thousands of dollars to re sod the front yard. The only reason I am giving 1 star is because i could not give 0. PS. If you love a company that completely ghosts you when you need to ask a legitimate question, these are your guys! A year ago I contacted them for a quote. They were higher than most others AND when I look them up there were complaints about them. One complaint was that they kept after you, long after you fired them or told them they were to high in price, that they would keep calling you. That is absolutely correct. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! I strongly would not recommend this company. I had a brand new yard installed in May 2018 and have used weedman for 2 seasons now. I have had to had pull weeds and every time they come out they are more interested in up selling services. We have a sprinkler system and watered it and mowed it as recommended by them. They constantly claim a new problem comes up every month from disease to every bug known to man. I have also witnessed their "5 minute" visits where they drag hoses over our shrubs or sit in the truck and The last straw was when they left an automatic voice mail about some add service we requested back in the summer this week. I have prepaid this service and trusted their add-ons for 2 seasons.....I did not even get the courtesy of a phone call before they threaten us with collection over $65. Funny thing was that I would have just hired them again had the customer service been a little better. Never again. The trust is gone. read more

If the company spent half as much time in their service as they did with generic pc reply's on yelp about how "they're trying their best" then might not be a bad service. Summary: If you value your yard, don't let the Weed Man of Roswell put anything on your grass and don't believe anything they say. Details: The Weed Man of Roswell treated my yard many times in 2020 (or at least they charged me for many treatments), but they barely got rid of any weeds. When I asked one of their techs about this, he sarcastically said they didn't have any "Jesus Juice" to put on it. WTH kind of thing is that to say to a customer? They willingly took my money to get rid of the weeds, but then they failed to fulfill their end of the bargain and acted like I was unreasonable for expecting them to kill the weeds. Isn't this what they do? Their name is literally, the "Weed Man". If they don't get rid of weeds, what does the "Weed Man" do? Maybe law enforcement needs to look into this. Anyway, I fired them at the end of 2020 and hired a different company. A year later, one of their salesmen called me and said they made a lot of changes and promised to do a better job if I gave them another chance. I wasn't interested, but a couple of months later he called again and offered to do the first two treatments for free so I could see how they have improved without any risk to me. Unfortunately, I agreed to give them another chance. Strangely enough, the salesman called the other company to cancel my service agreement. Later, a rep from that company told me that the salesman lied to them by saying I was moving and didn't need their service any longer. I've lived here for almost 20 years and have no plans to move, so he just fabricated a story to benefit himself. Within a week or so, the Weed Man sent out a tech and that person treated my yard even though my current company had just treated it within the past week. In fact, that company's sign was still in my front yard, but the Weed Man tech ignored it and treated my yard anyway. Soon after that, much of my fescue grass turned brown. It seems logical to assume that too much chemical in a yard will damage the grass, and that the Weed Man should have known this. They also refused to call me before arrival so we could bring our dogs inside, and so we didn't let our dogs outside while they were here. Even though their techs were usually only in our yard for about 3 minutes in total, if we didn't know they were here, we might let our dogs go outside while they were in the backyard. As a responsible dog owner, I didn't want their techs to get hurt by getting bit or jumped on, I didn't want my dogs to run out of the fenced-in backyard and get hit by a car, and I didn't want to get sued if my dogs hurt anyone after the Weed Man let them out of our backyard. Unfortunately, they refused to call to avoid all of this. When I called their office and told them what happened, the "gentleman" on the phone seemed to be annoyed that I called and wanted to argue with me instead of correcting the problem. Since they are incompetent, refuse to follow simple instructions, and are unprofessional on the phone, I cancelled their service...again. Shortly after that, I received a full-price invoice for the "free" treatment even though I had cancelled the service after the first treatment. When I called to ask about this, a lady said she would look into it. It turns out that the rude "gentleman" on the phone did not actually cancel my service as I requested, so their system still showed me as an active customer. Also, their salesman sent an email to me shortly after our conversation on the phone that contradicted what he said during his sales spiel. Apparently, I didn't read the email very carefully and didn't notice that it said they would charge $25 for the first two treatments, which was not what he said on the phone. Since it was my fault for not reading the email carefully and assuming that he was honest, I told them to send me an updated invoice so I could pay it. They sent a corrected invoice for the $25 treatment, and, to top it all off, they added a late fee. Apparently, they charge extra after they send you an inaccurate invoice for damaging your yard. Bottom Line: The Weed Man of Roswell should be avoided at all cost. They are untrustworthy and fail in so many ways. read more

I have used Weedman for the last 2 years and anytime I needed a retreat due to rain washing away the treatment or for any reason, they always come back out quickly and get it done. My lawn looked much better then when I started. Then, due to heavy and often rain last fall and winter, large sections of my lawn were a muddy mess and grass was no longer lush and green. I hired this company in Fall `22 to aerate and seed my Fescue Lawn. They did the Aeration/Seed and ended up paying to add "organic material" upon their recommendation. Their seed DID NOT germanate and I ended up buying seed and spreading myself. Weed Man gave me an additional aerate/overseed in the spring `23. Since I was communicating with a head manager (Rob), he assured that they would make things right; I went on and committed to let them treat my lawn in 2023. Since the very 1st application; this company could not do anything right (my yard is filled with weeds): They never got one person (or department) to be responsible for my yard. They could not tell me why they were treating the yard. One Manager actually told me that if they treated the weeds; they would kill the lawn. I asked him, them why am i paying you to kill weeds? He had no answer. He also would not come out and visually inspect my lawn. This company seemed to be very good at documenting conversations; but, in six months; I had to re-explain to multiple people the history of what was happening with my lawn. As opposed to them reading my file and taking care of it. I have an issue that parts of my lawn were dying (In long rows). One manager finally came out to my house for a visual inspection. He told me that the lawn was dying due to Grub Worms. I have had two different companies give me quotes to take over the service. Upon asking; both of those companies say that the grass is dying due to over treatment or someone dragging a leaky treatment hose over those areas. Even at the end, another manager offered to give two fungus treatments and one application to me for free. They did one of the fungus treatments, the other was never scheduled and their accounting department said that I was not due the one service for free. read more

For the past month we have called at least 4 times in which we were promised they would come out and treat the weeds. A person from their company spraying our yard even knocked on our door to tell us it was obvious the pre emergent application didnt work. We called told them and we were lied to for a month. When they promised the Owner would come out and spray our yard personally, he never showed up. This company is so unprofessional they shouldn't be in business. Don't waste your time, breath or money. TERRIBLE SERVICE...had to wait longer than expected before the first service. The tech that came out was SUPPOSED to treat the entire front and backyard, but instead only did some of the front yard, skipped an entire side of the house and spent a couple minutes in the backyard. I have a half acre of land by the way and the tech spent about 5 to 10 mins tops and left. I called and complained, they sent another guy out, but this guy simply left a note on my door and said the property was larger than what he expected and wait for a call from "corporate" about a new price quote smdh!!!! After canceling the service I'm now being hounded about "the bill past due". Called customer service twice and they just say they will escalate it...so I still have a balance for subpar lazy tech work. read more

FLEE THE WEEDMAN. They're like the weeds they're supposed to remove. Once Weedman is in your home, it's hard to get rid of them. Weedman continues to charge you after your prepaid treatment plan is finished. And then they send you a bill every month for these new services. I want to stop being harassed by Weedman for services I did not request. Details: This review is not about Weedman's lawn care services. It is about their distasteful business practices. I signed up for Weedman's lawn care services in 2020. I paid for all the treatments up front. I did NOT request services beyond 2020. In early 2021, I received a bill from Weedman charging me for two new services - once in January and February each. I called Weedman to have these charges removed, because I had not requested the services. The first time, a customer service representative said they would take care of it. Next month I got another bill. My nephew and I have now tried talking to multiple people at Weedman, through emails or phone calls - all to no avail. Here is their position: Weedman characterizes itself as a "continuous service," says it has an "auto-renewal" policy, and said I had to call in advance to cancel treatments. I asked for the written agreement that outlines this arrangement. There is none. They base the agreement on oral discussions and marketing literature. They say because we didn't cancel future services, we are required to pay them. Weedman's position appears to be that customers should pay for something that they didn't request, simply because they didn't say no. This practice would be similar to someone with a sponge walking up to your car at a stop light, washing your car without permission, and then saying that you owe them money, because you didn't explicitly refuse the services. Not only is this arrangement not written in any contract, it's poor business practice. Their law care services overall were fine, but their harassment afterwards is causing me emotional distress and has left a bad taste in my mouth. What a shame. I am telling all my friends and neighbors: FLEE THE WEEDMAN before they hook you too. read more

Update. Change of business. I had them treat my house when it was raining and I was upset. Asked for a refund and they said they would give another free service. They charged me for the free service and came back in the rain. Wouldn't refund me for the two charges and then put $80 in a collection account after not refunding me and over charging me. Currently waiting 3 days to talk to someone who can handle it. read more
