Weedman as a company has poor morals and values. They really dropped the ball on my account and I am proud to take my business to Northwest. Weedman customer service is a complete joke. I signed a 1 year contract with them. When I received a invoice for the next year I contacted them to work on getting a better rate/ bundle services to include aeration. Weedman could not come to the table with a better price so I did not agree to use them. They then tried to invoice me for the next year and continued to come to my house when I did NOT approve them to treat my yard. Bunch of crooks. Take your business to Northwest. Ive called several times to nicely address incompetence and now I'm just about DONE! My complaints started in late September. Been with Weedman since August. Not happy. Very dissatisfied. Contemplating what to do. I doubt they will be on my docket by December. They've never got the weeds unanddercontrol. They core plugged and seeded in September and guaranteed to come back to cover bald spots. When they did, they sent two young men that were new with the company and tore up the good grass because instead of simply seeding the bald spots they attempted to use the core plug machine and tore up the lawn. Now worse with big chunks of soil laying around. MY YARD LOOKS LIKE HELL! And, I still have THE SAME BALD SPOTS! Update as of 12/15/20 Weed Man was fired four weeks ago. Their customer service is so bad, they sent a truck to my house on December 9th for service. I ordered them of my property and told them the contract had been canceled. Today they sent me a bill for coming out on 12/09/20. They were suppose to give my neighbor a referral fee of $25.00 for referring me and never did. Weedman was hired in August. I have been super pleased with the quality of improvements and results I've had on my lawn since using Weed Man Lawn Care since moving to Dacula 5 years ago. They have been willing to work with me, selecting treatments I can afford. Devon Morris was proactive and easy to talk to when he called to see if I had been pleased overall with results and asking if there was anything we could add to improve services. Super happy with that and I agreed to add on the grub control service which will last for six months and will work in conjunction with the End of Season Care they offer. After 4 years with weed man Roswell, GA we have lost almost the entire front yard Bermuda grass, almost $10,000 of burned grass. Don't use this Company all they give is Griff and apologies nothing more, they kept telling me we will fix it just wait how long I brought two reputable lawn care companies and both confirmed that our grass is mostly burned and dead. Take a look at these pictures 4 years of service, I handed weedman our beautiful lawn to be taken care of and this is what we ended up with. I have been a loyal customer to weedman for over 5 years and never missed or been late on a payment. In October, I received a service and paid for it in full that day. I kept receiving notices that it was not paid. For months, I consistently called, emailed and used the texting service to try to get the issue resolved. I sent my bank statement to three different people including the manager proving my payment. I called my bank and they verified there was no issue with the payment. After months of receiving poor customer service, ignored emails and unreturned phone calls I decided to pay the bill a second time just to be finished with the constant notices that my account was overdue. After paying a second time for the same service and both payments clearing my bank I continued to receive notices that my account was overdue and was told that the second payment failed. I again verified with my bank that the second payment also cleared my account. After my years of being a loyal customer to weedman with no issues, I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed in the way I have been treated and the customer service I received. read more

DO NOT USE. Weedman is like a weed. I was very disappointed with the poor customer service I received when trying to cancel my account. I called over 20 times and emailed multiple people at Weedman, but they refused to cancel my service. They had multiple numbers that they gave me and when I called - each person told me they couldn't cancel my account and that someone else was responsible for cancellation. I then emailed all the different emails they had, and none of them would cancel my service either. Despite clearly communicating I did not want their services, they continued to charge me for unwanted services. After 2 years, they sent my account to collections. This was an incredibly frustrating situation that took a lot of time and effort on my part to resolve. I wish they had a simpler cancellation process and responsive customer support. It felt like they intentionally ignored my requests in order to keep charging me. Now I have to deal with my credit score being impacted. read more

I've been in Atlanta for 3 years now. We did not start with Weedman at first because we had not heard good things. All I can say, is that I had gone through 2 other companies that were supposed to be good and they did not improve my lawn nor did they address the weed growth issue. I received a call from Markiss V. Moseley from Weedman, was told they had changed and to give them an opportunity. I decided to give them a chance. In the one year, I can say that my lawn does look better, the weeds are under control not gone but under control which was better then before. Markiss proved me with some discounts to try some additional services to help improve the lawn this fall and going into the winter. I have gone with his advice. I can say that Weedman service has improved the color and texture of my lawn, they are prompt to respond to my calls for questions or return service. I would not recommend this company. My yard looked great in May when they started, but then got worse and worse until now it is basically destroyed. We have a sprinkler system and watered it and mowed it as recommended by them. We constantly tried to contact them to find out what was going on and they just recommended more and more expensive services that obviously did nothing. My neighbors yard with the same grass type and no treatment looks a thousand times better. It looks like they poisoned our yard nstead of treating it. This business is a total scam. They showed up only for 5 mins and did not apply any in my backyard on 8/10. I was timing them from my office because I work from home. Now it's full of weeds. If you wanna get weeds for your yard, this company will do it for you, as low as $96. Chris, customer svc, told me they would come out for reapplication on 9/2 for free as complimentary, but guess what, nobody showed up. Sent another email to follow up but no responses. They said they would remove the balance from my account but it's still there. I spoke to Nathan Wacker, the branch manager, over the phone and he said it's out of his hand now and it's up to AR manager. (Branch manager cannot oversee it??? What kind of business is this??) Now, balance of $96 is overdue on my account. Think these guys are trying to screw me over by sending that balance to collections to ruin my credit. Overall, this is the worst experience I ever had and would not recommend this company to anyone. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! You cannot contact the Roswell office, some genius in corporate made a decision to direct all calls to the Philippines to save money (corporate needs to read reviews, fire the marketing genius and let us call our local office... I mean hey, this is a franchise right? let the owner decide how to adress problems. Ok send the calls wherever you like. The people are nice, they try to help but, I would prefer to speak to the local office management. When you blast them on Google reviews they give a stock answer like, so sorry, call us we have something special for you... really? They basically took 7 months of fees and delivered us a lawn with more weeds and crabgrass then when we started. When I voiced a concern, I have an email from the GM (yes, they do not want to speak with you) that said it will take 2 years of treatment to correct the problem... they never stated that when I signed up. So, I contacted Scotts, explained my problems, sent them pictures and Viola, my lawn is almost crab grass free after just one $24 application of thier crabgrass killer. Wow..... I have a dispute open with Weedman Roswell over a $61.00 charge for a service that I specifically asked to not take place. It started with aeration that was supposed to happen in the spring never happened. I put this in dispute in June with still no resolution but yet I continue to get phone calls, texts and emails requesting payment for the disputed amount. New homeowner new sod and to get the discount I prepaid for the services for the entire year. I have received I guess only 6 services with free follow-up service as weeds were out of control but I received invoice for 8 services. I have called them multiple times to rectify it, but it seems it came from one ear and passed through the other ear. Once they did service on my neighbor's lot and sent me the invoice. 2 times they just put the sticker and sent the invoice of service. Both the times I caught them using neighbor's and My security camera feeds. Today its the third time that I received invoice but service is not done. So to summarize - 1) Poor quality of service (As I didn't see any effect on weeds) 2) Very Unprofessional service as you can't trust them 3) Very slow response from customer care. I am definitely not signing up with them for next year and will suggest all my friends who will moving to their new home nearby (~21) to not use WeedMan for the service. Techs are great people. The company does not give them knowledge or time to do the job properly. I actually walked with my yard tech while he was spraying weeds. Observed the weeds he stayed. NONE of this weeds are dead, or even slightly discolored. They are growing great however. How Weedman can justify taking my money and not returning a service is disheartening. read more

What's crazy is the Tech do their job well. But when they call you and don't show or don't complete the job and still charge you it becomes a problem. It happen to me a times and they never corrected the issue. Only I would get is if a gave a good review I would get something off my next bill. So I stopped paying for an half job (Do the front but not the back) killed my grass. I told techs they said they would tell manager, manager never reached out so I didn't pay. I owed $61 and I'm in collections as we speak even when I tried to get a link to pay them just to avoid it. I know a some other customers who had similar issues. 6/18/22 UPDATE: If you can believe this (I can't) Weedman serviced THE WRONG HOUSE AGAIN. That's 4 times now (I'm losing count- I know I told them 3 times which house we are). Best part- the worker left me a message that he was done servicing "my house". At this point I'm leaving Weedman. Only problem is there is no one to pick up the phone so I can ask for my money back. See photos below for their terrible "work" 5/25/22: I'm editing this review to reflect the absolute garbage service from weedman as of late. I've been a customer for 6 years and until 2022, they have been great. However, weedman has now become the 3rd largest service in the southeast and they have let customer service go in the trash. In short- we moved houses to a new build that didn't have an address in google maps, although weedman did have it, since they measured the yard for a quote. Three months in, my weeds are still growing. Why? Turns out weedman had been treating the wrong address. When I confronted them about that, they said they were sorry and would get back to me the next day with a solution. 14 days go by, and I've heard nothing. TLDR: Used to be good. Grew to fast. I need someone to contact me as I have done every single thing I can possibly think of short of taking legal action. I have spoken to no less than 15 people. No less than 30 times. I have recorded both contemporaneously notes and audio of these interactions in an effort to keep everything above board. I'm getting no effort on the part of weedman to resolve what is clearly theft or ACH fraud by your staff. I think you'd want to know your technicians were claiming they had come to the house when they verifiably hadn't. After trying to get help since June. I was told by Ashleigh McClure Ostenson that you do not speak to customers. That you do not communicate with the public. And that someone else will contact me instead. That was on 11/12. No one has contacted me. Your internal data will show that you took funds from my account but did not provide service. When I stopped allowing ACH, you started collection action. I am just trying to get this resolved-- I don't see why that's not amenable to your company. read more

Argumentative, rude, unprofessional- the three words beat used to describe this company. The backyard looks worse than it did when we started using this company but they definitely made the front yard look good (which would be fine if I got a 70% discount since they only did 30% of the yard). While I was not in a contract canceling my service was difficult and that's when their true values are exposed. The lady who works in the morning answering phones is nice and understanding but the afternoon woman is terrible and not a good representative for the company. The company I switched to does the entire yard (flower beds included) and is 10% cheaper per application plus the owner of that company talks directly with you - that's how this should be done. For the last year I have used Weed Man, I have been happy with the service. Working with Markiss Moseley has been a pleasure.

BEWARE: Once you sign up they make it extremely difficult for you to cancel. Very shady company. I prepaid for 1 year of Weed Man Service. When that year was up, I did not renew, but received an email about a service scheduled for the next day. Apparently they auto-renew if you don't explicitly cancel and they did not give me any heads up until the day before a service was scheduled. Unlike good businesses, you can't cancel via your account login on the website, so I called. After sitting on hold for 5 minutes, I wrote down the support email address they suggested, hung up, and emailed them. I received a response saying they could not cancel my account and I had to call. I called back, and this time I spoke with a woman who said she had to transfer me to "retention". I then sat on hold for 25 minutes waiting to talk to someone. I hung up, called back, sat on hold for 8 more minutes, and spoke with a guy who again told me he had to transfer me to retention and that he can't cancel the account. I very clearly told him not to put me on hold again. He said he wouldn't, he just had to mute his line to connect with someone in retention. And then he proceeded to transfer me to a line that said, "you've reached an outgoing line for Weed Man Lawn Care. We did try calling you and we apologize that we missed you. We'll try calling you again at a later date, but...blah blah blah" over and over and over. I proceeded to text the support text number and told them to cancel and that I don't want to talk anyone, just confirm that it's cancelled by 5 pm the next day or this review would be posted. I received a response saying they couldn't cancel and they would have the Account manager call me and that I have to speak with them to cancel. I responded saying I'm quite sure the account manager can cancel my account without talking to me and I'm done wasting my time trying to talk to someone. I got a response saying "We understand your frustrations, but it is our protocol. You will have to call in and speak with someone Kirk." I know it's hard to believe a business would behave like this, but this is exactly what's happened. Also beware that they get you in the door with low pricing, but almost every visit you will get a call and/or email saying "our technician noticed XYZ and recommends ABC which will cost $" I've used two other services in the past, and never experienced this. RESPONSE TO ASHLEIGH: Sorry, I gave Weed Man ample opportunities to solve this via phone, email, and text. Weed Man chose not to solve the problem. Hence, this review exists. read more

I would seriously think twice before using these folks. For the past two years it has been a constant battle to get them to stop trying to upsell me on expensive, additional treatments. Phone calls, texts, more phone calls. To make matters worse, I had an accounting issue with them. They took double the amount of the authorized charge out of my account which screwed up my (fixed income) budget. They finally corrected it after a couple calls, but damage was done. I paid half the remaining balance and 10 days later i had to email them only to find they'd taken me to collection (knowing I was perfectly amenable to paying the balance). This, after they basically stole money from me. Stay away from these guys. A 3rd rate admin set up but a great hard sell sales pitch. We have had only 2 treatments so far in our backyard 3/8 and 4/5. Our backyard based on a photo we took looked mostly healthy but dormant on 3/20. After the 4/5 treatment which we feel was too soon after the first pre-emergent basically killed our lawn. It is covered with dead patches. We have contacted Weed Man and supplied pics but we have not received an answer. They did call us to try to add mowing to our contract which is another complaint. This company calls frequently to add mowing, mosquito service, aerating etc. The gentleman who called was from a "different department" and could not help us. We are afraid to let them "fix it".
