My front yard has looked good (Almost perfect) for the two years I have used Weedman. The front is Bermuda. The Back yard has never done well with whatever Weedman uses. The back is fescue and has weeds. The biggest problem is that I signed up and payed for a year at a time. Weedman came out and applied 2 more treatments that I never requested or wanted. They are currently trying to charge me for a service I NEVER asked for. It is one year later than i posted the above. The same thing happen. The claim I owe then for treatments I didn't want. Two months pass and we receive an invoice for 90.00 When notified again - the office requested they search their phone records and get back...Four days later we were notified and informed we never cancelled service and therefore we would have to pay the invoice When dealing with this company I would suggest that when service is cancelled you require the company to send a termination letter confirming your request. I terminated service (about a year ago) because it was simply not working - weeds were becoming more prevalent between treatments, even with retreats in between the normally scheduled treatments. Now, they call me on a regular basis to regain my business, and will not remove my number from their database despite repeated requests to have my number removed from their records (my request has been to the same tele-marketer each time, and each time she assures me my number will be removed). I decided to write this review b/c they just called again, at 8:15 pm. Ironic how when you call them to have your number removed, the automated message tells you how important communication is - getting on the DNC list is obviously not included in that communication. read more

Completely killed our back lawn last season. There was a two month period where there was no evidence of them servicing our yard via our security camera playback. We had them come out only to give us some lame excuse and not taking responsibility for the damage. We "had" to ask them for a discount on aeration and reseeding so that we could try to recover from the mess that they had created. They offered us the service for $66. However, when the techs came to service our lawn, they had much attitude. From December 2018 until current, several months later we're still battling a $66 dispute over the last billing when I called gave them a credit card to process to settle our account in full and closed it, after going back and forth with them to try to get them to rectify the issue. One of their managers took my call and complaint voiced that I wanted to close our account and asked for the full account balance due ($66), provided my credit card info and gave permission to run the card. Then about 45 days or so later we started getting calls, and texts saying that we had a past due balance of $66. I called AGAIN... and one of their customer service employees verified that they listened to the call recording hearing me give the CC info and approval to run the card with the verification from their employee that I was talking to that our total remaining balance due was $66 and once paid it would bring the account to $0 and the account would be closed. Well... they are saying we still owe $66 and much to our surprise we received another bill two days ago from a collections agency sent to our Florida address from Weedman services from over 2 years ago to the tune of over $400, which clearly we did not owe since they've been servicing our lawn during that time. Such a horrible mess on so many levels! Don't use them!!!! read more

Came by these reviews while looking for a lawn service to cut our grass and felt compelled to review our weed service. We have used Weed Man for 4 or 5 years now and couldn't be happier. It does take a year, or even two to see the difference in your lawn so you must be patient. We've also never had a problem with billing or additional service from Weed Man. The guys who come out to service are polite and efficient. We are frugal people and yes, we could spread this stuff when we're supposed to but it's hard to remember and it sure does make a difference in your lawn! They came to my door today to sell me up but my husband does our yard work so I told the guy we weren't interested.Later I went out the door and their was a used cigarette on my doorstep,weird since we don't smoke. In this day of Arlo and Ring, we checked the video. This Weedman came up to the door with his hand cupped and then dropped it on our porch then rang our doorbell. And why???? We sense a lot of hostility in this action so who would want this in your yard all the time? Very disturbing and terrible customer service. This is probably one of the worst and unprofessional companies that I have ever conducted business with. Sad to say but they are complete scams, they attempt and charge for work that they know they did not perform. The craziest thing is that I informed them that I had two dogs, in my fenced in backyard which accounted for 75% of my property. "It was required they contact either when on the way to perform service or the day before so that I would put the dogs in the house. They never would, I worked at night and would get up to leave, there sign would be stuck in the grass as if service was provided. Little did they know I worked at night and if they would have came on my property the dogs would have went crazy. The very first service, they never showed and admitted they went to the wrong address. The next two came, but no service provided. I explained to the Manager, his responds was they did the front only, but wanted me to pay full price. Later contacting me and asking if I would pay half? All I asked them for was a healthy, green weed free lawn (which they promised when they got my money) and now all I have is a yard with brown spots which they now blame on me for not getting their additional services and saying that I am not cutting weekly (which isn't true). I only had them for 5 months. Long enough to see the guy from my home surveillance system not touch half my yard. Long enough to see my yard perform not quite as good as I've done with 15 years of Scott's treatment from Home Depot and the couple years I had a professional service before. Totally worthless service. Guy didn't even step foot in one half of the yard during one of the 2.5 minute visits. Yes! He got out of his sedan car, walked into my yard, did a small circle in 1/4 of the yard and one strip down the middle of that half of the yard. I will admit I did not call them back out. I got a service so I wouldn't have to worry about it at all. Two of the few times I've been on the phone with someone, I felt they were rude and unprofessional. I'd gladly pay 5 more dollars for one of the companies who actually does what these people claim to do. Worst home service company of any type since humans have lived in houses. read more

I wish I could give them a NEGATIVE 5 stars. I have been using Weedman for about 2 years. This past year has inevitably made it really easy to cancel my service with them. I wanted to cancel them after the first year but was talked back into using them even against my better judgement. Not only has the weeds been out of control throughout the entire year, and never actually gotten them under control and removed correctly, even after consecutive re-applications after each treatment, but the yard has completely died and turned everything brown by mid summer. There is also so much moss and patchy grass areas... I'm not too sure they were even actually applying anything when serviced. Every time the yard was serviced... the service men would give me some lengthy story about all these additional services that my yard had to have. I was so tired and frustrated of all the upcharges and excuses as to why the yard still wasn't getting better. It was everything from additional soil needed, nutrients, mole problems, fire ants, "two different diseases that were present", and finally other excuses as to why it was better to just trash the yard completely and start over for the next year in full. Absolutely Terrible company with NO reason they should still be in business. We decided to go with Weed Man after replacing our front yard grass a few years back. Our neighbor was using them and their grass looked good. They provide excellent service and are quick to handle any issues that arise. They take responsibility for the condition of your lawn. The servicemen are very knowledgeable, although an occasional newbie could stand a little mentoring from the veterans. Our most recent serviceman, Daniel, was examining an issue we were having and immediately called on a colleague to collaborate on the diagnosis. Daniel came back to our lawn repeatedly afterward to make sure things were going smoothly and our lawn received what it needed. As for the business office, Derek is extremely efficient and helpful. This is the worst company I have used. I just fired them as I should have long ago. They made promises to make a technical visit 3 times, No call, no show. Jordan is so unprofessional. I asked him after he missed scheduled appointments, to call if you cant make it. He did not! Again I called him for him to tell me, "I have some other appointments and I can't make it until this afternoon!" What!!!!!!! You have an appointment with me so how can you have scheduled another one somewhere else!!!!! I have micro-managed them and don't have time for this level of service. Weed man representatives came to our house on Wednesday, spraying fertilizer and pesticides onto our lawn without any advanced notice. We have two dogs, one young puppy who is now vomiting and very sick after playing in the backyard later that evening. Since the Weed Man service did not take into account the weather, they sprayed and fertilized right before it started to snow so the chemical never had a chance to properly dry. I think it is incredibly inappropriate for Weed Man to not only do such a poor job of planning, but to spray chemicals onto people's property without due notice and permission. Weed man also has no voicemail, and because I work in a hospital during the traditional 8-6 business hours, there is no way to contact a person directly. Highly disappointed with this service. And highly concerned about the safety of our now very sick puppy. read more

They call me when they see signs of disease and before they come to treat the lawn, so I can make sure my dogs are secured. I started off using Weedman 2 years ago and didn't see any noticeable results so I took the winter off from lawn care and went to another company that after 1 treatment the lawn was green and the weeds were gone. When that company had a careless worker who burnt holes all over my grass I decided to try Weedman out again since they had some "new and improved formula" and offered 50% off for a treatment. There was still no noticeable difference AND their worker was extremely careless with the hose used to apply the treatment and plowed down over $50 worth of newly planted flowers with his hose. I had been 99% sure it was them when it happened since I'd just planted them the day before but since I didn't see it happen (I just saw the results 10 minutes after they left first thing in the morning) I didn't accuse them of it. They just came out again and this time I caught the worker doing the same thing... letting his hose wrap all around and over the large flower bed that surrounds a tree. Add this on top of some (but not everyone) who calls is rude. One guy called after I canceled last time and tried blaming my husband for why the weeds kept coming back saying if he kept the lawn cut as indicated they weeds wouldn't be there and when I said he cuts the grass 1-2 times a week when it is peak growing season he said 'well if you say so' in a snarky tone. After having very minimal results on top of my flowers being ruined yet again, I'll be canceling first thing on Monday. read more
