This place was a true surprise and delight for me! I came during Louisville burger week, wanting to try as many new places as I could. I learned that this place is pretty close to where I sometimes work, and that is a dangerous piece of information for me. I got their #2 burger week special, adding fries to it (best decision). The burger had some spicy notes by way of jalapeño, chipotle, and pepper jack. The burger, even with the additions, was so simple and yet so beautifully executed. Truly cannot find a flaw with it. The fries awesome and crispy too. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but I mean this in the best way. The inside and outside and very unpretentious and unassuming, and you can tell the focus is really on the food rather than on gimmicks. The staff is awesome too. As many times I've been to this area, I cannot believe I have not been to weekend burgers. Pretty simple menu, but their burgers are fantastic. Did someone also say milkshake? Oh my gosh was it good. The ambience inside is very unique with lots of graffiti written on the walls. I could not find a marker to add my mark. Lol. Service was pretty good even though you placed your order at the counter. So I've only been here twice and that was for Burger Week last year and this year. This 2nd time was actually an unplanned stop, I happened to be in the area and completely forgot this place existed. I actually came about 15 minutes before they closed, and I didn't have any issues ordering or anything. They were open until 8pm for Burger Week when they normally close at 7. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger that was one of their specials and only got a drink to go. I will say the Burger is absolutely delicious and more of a Steakburger like patty compared to Steak N Shake Patties. I've had their fries a year ago with cheese and they were amazing. I have yet to try the Ice Cream that I have heard was really good. The Owner is very kind and friendly, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Weekend burgers is a former small food truck turned store front off National turnpike in the south side of Louisville. I unfortunately seemed to always just miss there food truck whenever they would visit my neighborhoods in the past so I was pretty pumped when they got a store front a few months ago. I had heard great things about the burgers and the eclairs. So this morning me my wife and my youngest daughter who is 1 years old stopped into today right around noon. Previously at this location was my favorite hidden gem Mexican eatery called chillikiles. That place did not survive the covid pandemic and opened the possibility for weekend burgers. I Will say they revamped and remodeled this place and did a fantastic job. Fun and laid back atmosphere and vibe. I personally ordered a burger Royal which is a cheeseburger with an egg on it. It was fantastic. Great flavor with the mayo and bun and friendly on the cheese. Great burger. I also got a double chocolate eclair and my goodness it was huge and heavenly. Amazing tasting. I could come here just for desserts. My wife ordered a regular cheeseburger and a banana split. The baby got mozzarella sticks. I sampled the sticks and they were pretty good. My wife was a big fan of her selections as well. Pricing was good. Every item cost around 5 bucks a piece. So not bad. If I had to throw a complaint it would be they need fountain water. They only sale water bottles for a $1. Overall very glad we made the trip here. Very tasty. Just the best mushroom swiss burger ever! So many times, the mushrooms are just warmed and don't get properly cooked down, but they took the time to really sauté those down to saucy, umami excellence. The bun was soft, the burger was well seasoned, and the service was friendly and fast. read more

Wow! Louisville Burger Week is off to a great start this year! Stop 1 was WeekEnd Burgers, about 10 minutes or so from our house. Walking in, it's nothing impressive; a little shop in a strip mall with a good amount of seating and a mish-mash of stuff on the walls. You order at the counter and your meal is brought out to you. They have all kinds of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and sides and an incredible selection of sweets. We were there for the chipotle double for Burger Week. Pepperjack, jalapenos, grilled onions, and chipotle sauce. My husband and I each got one of those and their cajun fries. Service was fast and friendly and the food came out piping hot. I don't think this is a regular burger on their menu but holy hell, it should be. The patties were perfectly thin and cooked so crispy and the burger was chock full of the jalapenos and onions. The fries were a huge portion (my husband and I will split next time) and so yummy with the cajun seasoning. All of this deliciousness was about $20, to boot. The burger is the best I've had in Kentucky. 100% worth returning for the burger alone. The fries were decent. The onion rings had an excellent texture but were on the bland tasting side. The young lady who delivered the food to the table was very pleasant. For feedback, the place could defintely use some more sauces e.g barbecue sauce and honey mustard. The hours are also very odd (Sign on the wall says contact for franchising; I'd suggest work on keeping one restaurant open first). The other reviews on here are a little concerning regarding the service. But after one visit we ran into no issue. If you love burgers, then this is your spot! They are all about the burgers, mostly smashburgers specifically, and man they are great. I've previously had the Patty Melt, which was ridiculously good, and all I normally ever get, until today. Today I tried their Oklahoma Smasher, which is probably the best burger I've had in Louisville. I'm normally not a fan of Barbecue sauce on a hamburger, but the Carolina Gold sauce they use on this masterpiece is perfect and really rounds out the burger that also has Butterflied mozzarella sticks and onions smashed into the burger. I was almost embarrassed how fast I ate it; it was that good. They have great menu, Chopped cheese, Philly cheese steaks, as well as some of the best seasoned fries I've had anywhere. I've heard people complain about the prices, but I think that's ridiculous, their prices are more than fair considering the portions, the quality ingredients, and the taste! I haven't tried all of their desserts yet, (they have several), only the Eclair, and it was fabulous. This is a very hard review for me to leave because this is a business in my neighborhood but it is not ok to verbally attack a customer. I've been a loyal customer of this local restaurant for over six months, consistently placing a weekly order, typically spending over $30 on two burgers. My routine involved ordering online and promptly driving to the restaurant. On a Tuesday at 5:30 PM, I placed an online order, arrived at the restaurant as usual, only to find it closed with no sign on the door and dark inside. Perplexed, I assumed the order was canceled, given the unusual circumstances. To my surprise, the next morning at 11:00 AM, I received a call informing me that my order was ready. Last night I looked at the confirmation email to see if there was a contact number, I only saw the restaurant number, which I knew was closed. Yes, hind-sight I should have called and left a message, but I am tired, I am working 2 jobs, with long hours. Upon explaining the situation to the staff, I was transferred to the manager, who displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy from the start. His initial response was confrontational, accusing me of calling them liars and insisting that the mistake was solely my fault. He directed me to check my email, claiming the issue was resolved, and demanded I come to the restaurant to collect my food. Despite my attempts to maintain a civil conversation and explain my position as a loyal weekly customer, the owner, who identified himself during the call, remained abrasive and unapologetic. He flatly refused to refund the money, or the next order give me a free shake, ANYTHING and continued with a barrage of rude comments. When I expressed my reluctance to pick up food at 11:00 in the morning, his response was even more offensive and RUDE comments. I had been patient and understanding throughout the conversation, but the owner's lack of basic courtesy and basic customer service skills were apparent. Despite my efforts to reconcile the situation, he seemed indifferent to the prospect of losing a faithful weekly customer. Louisville has a lot of good burger joints and this is definitely one of them. I love the thin, smashed style patties with the crispy edges. I liked the option to add jalapeños to my burger as well. I have a weakness for chili cheese fries. Whenever I see them on a menu I have to try them and these were fantastic. The chili was the perfect consistency for a fry topping and the nacho cheese was creamy and a little spicy and perfect. The onion rings had a nice crunch and the beer batter is sweet and really tasty. The food is good. However, the hours are ridiculous. They a never have a set schedule and are always changing their hours. When u think they are open they're not. & they don't even update their hours online. You never know when they'll actually be open. At this point just close.
