Mediocre cleaning service at best…read more We booked a post-construction cleaning service and made it clear that certain areas did not need to be cleaned. My main priorities were the floors, windows, built-in cabinets, bathrooms, and kitchen appliances. On that day, two men came at 10:30-11:00am and finished their job at 3:00pm. While the floors were cleaned reasonably well, several important items were completely missed. The built-in cabinets appeared untouched, and the oven was not cleaned at all. When I pointed this out, I was told they thought the oven was new, which shocked me over as it was clearly a part of the contract. It should be at least touched even if it looked clean! What disappointed me most was the attitude during the final walk-through. One of the crew members seemed indifferent whenever I requested touch-ups. Each time I pointed out an issue, he would give it a quick wipe and then look at me as if asking, "What's next?" rather than taking ownership of the quality of the work. Overall, the service felt rushed and incomplete, and the customer experience during the final inspection left a lot to be desired.

Shane and Bryan provide a service that is 100% worth every penny. The couch that I had them clean was dingy and had some dog hair and areas that you could tell needed cleaning. I thought it would take maybe an hour to clean, but Bryan spent probably about 3- 3.5hrs to clean my sofa making sure to get every square inch of it cleaned. I called Weekend Maids early in the week to set up cleaning service and carpet cleaning. I was really happy to be able to do both with one service. I needed to prepare a condo for new tenants and because of other contractors coming in and out, needed to have it happen early Friday so it would be ready for new tenants moving in Saturday a.m. I explained how important it was that this be confirmed as I was not flexible on time or day. I was reassured all was set up, I was sent an email that I was asked to respond to saying "I read it" and was reminded more than once (by email and telephone call) that Weekend Maids would charge me $40 for any cancellation without two days notice. The two cleaning ladies arrived on time, walked in to the empty condo and asked me "What do you want us to do?" I was a little worried at this point as I'd given clear instructions over the phone to the office, and the whole point of me hiring people to do this was to free up my time. I then had to come back to sign paperwork when they were done -- which left me having to hang around and wait, again defeating my entire purpose. Once done, the cleaning ladies left. They did an okay job, but not great and the condo had a funky smell -- not at all like a newly cleaned place. 11 a.m. rolls around and the carpet cleaner was set to arrive soon. My phone rang and I figured it was him asking where to park. Nope, it was Weekend Maids calling to tell me the carpet cleaner canceled, that his machine was broken but he could come the next day. As I'd already explained, this wasn't going to work with my timing. I had to ask THEM, to please try to find a replacement person for today. I was a little upset that I had to suggest that to them rather than them just reading the notes about the job and doing it on their own. They said they would call back in five minutes with an update. More than 30 minutes went by without a call so I got on the phone and made some phone calls and finally found someone that might be able to drop everything, rearrange his schedule and be there in less than an hour. While waiting for him to call back to confirm, Weekend Maids finally called me back saying they could have someone at my place at 4 pm that day. I'd already explained SEVERAL times that we needed more time for the carpet to clean and that wouldn't work. I asked them to hold the appt at 4 just in case and I'd let them know ASAP if I needed it. Luckily the person I lined up came immediately and did the work for less than what Weekend Maids had quoted. Needless to say, it all ended well but my attempt at saving my own time (which = money) backfired, costing me more overall (the fees for the services + lost work). I asked Weekend Maids (the day of the canceled work) to consider at the very least taking $40 off of the fee for cleaning -- since they had told me that was the fee if I canceled without at least 2 days notice. Yet they canceled on me at the time of service. They said they would talk to the manager and she would call me back. No call from her. I called again the following Monday or Tuesday and talked to Emily who said she was the manager. Went through the entire story again and said at this point I shouldn't even have to pay for anything and that by my calculations they actually owed me money once my time and hourly wage was considered. I also said again at the very least I should get a $40 discount. Emily said she needed to talk to the scheduler (possibly to verify I was telling the truth???) and would get back to me. More than a week later I haven't heard anything. But they of course were quick to charge my credit card $129 for 2-1/2 hours of cleaning an EMPTY condo. I gave Weekend Maids the opportunity more than once to rectify the situation. If they had done right by me this review would have been entirely different. Will I ever use this service again? I do not recommend this company at all I have had several maid service and I have never experience what I have experience with this company. They sent a maid to my house on 3/22 to clean my condo which is only 980sq ft 2bd2ba condo which I only had maid clean 1bd2ba so the end of this result was maid did not run no water when she was cleaning bathroom's maid said i don't have enough time to dust your home will do it next time, so i was walking through the bathroom to see master shower and mention to maid it doesn't look like you clean shower she said its stained and i can not do nothing else she ask do you have bleach and she poured it down tub but still didn't turn on no water or scrub it with bleach, then after maid left i look in other bathroom it was red spots that was on the floor and was not cleaned up and toilet was not clean at all she was suppose to clean microwave and it was not touch at all, there was no smell of cleaning in the house at all. so I called today for the 3rd time of me calling to advice a supervisor today supervisor Emily called me back and she said you have 2 options you can let maid come back and clean or you can take $10.00 off next cleaning. Know ask your self this why would I let that same maid come back that did not do it RIGHT THE FIRST TIME or why would I accept $10.00 off when IT WAS NOT DONE RIGHT FIRST TIME. So I told Emily just cancel my service she had the NERVE to have a attitude and so okay and hang up..NO CUSTOMER SERVICE THERE AT THIS COMPANY. Then there was a misunderstanding with company that maid was suppose to come on 3/21 I had an emergency with my husband that we could not be home on that day 3/21 for maid to clean husband was at hospital and could not make it back he told maid to come at 330pm but Dr kept him after 330 due to high blood pressure and he would have her call maid so when I called maid at 310 she did not answer my call according to maid she was driving. the end result of that was they made me pay her for gas which i never experience that with a company either that was your maid and why would customer have to pay for maid gas,,, so please don't use this company its not worth your time or your money if you want things done right and have people that care about the customer THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO USE... read more

I had a great house cleaning experience with Weekend Maids two weeks ago. I needed the service at the last minute for my tenants who were renewing their lease. After calling a few other cleaning services, I realized that I would not get the professional services that my long-term tenants required. I am not a big fan of booking online as I cannot explain my requirements very accurately. When I contacted Weekend Maids, I was provided with a fast and professional estimate on the initial phone call. It was quite pleasant to be speaking directly with an real human instead of doing it online and the customer service representative was caring and spent the time to understand what my I needed. She made a fair recommendation for the house cleaning...a two hour service that included windows and deep cleaning on the bathrooms and kitchens as well as the rest of the home. I think it is important that other people who need this type of cleaning service know that Weekend Maids is a true referral agency, where the workers are independent cleaning professionals. I prefer to work with independents because the rates are forced to be reasonable the cleaners have been pre-approved by the agency. The workers arrived spot on time at 8:00 AM sharp (the time that was most convenient) and they provided an amazing house cleaning service. My tenants were unbelievably happy with the level of detail and are interested in now having the cleaners (Vanessa) to come on a recurring basis. I am surprised at some of the other reviews I have read. I have received great customer service from this company. The office staff is nice, accomodating, professional, and flexible. The cleaners have never been late. Because I know they are coming for 2 hours (2 people), I review what I want them to do as soon as they arrive, even down to which windows I want cleaned. If by chance they finish a little early, they do extra things to fill up the time, like clean out the refridgerator or clean the porches. Fast, efficient, and complete what I ask of them. I do not want to be responsible for ensuring the cleaning supplies are here, so I pay a little extra for them to supply everything- I do have them use my own vacuum. I just show them how to use it, check for clogs, and empty it. They don't even dump my trash in my trash bins, which is nice- they take all trash with them! One thing I really like about getting different cleaning teams is that each team seems to have their own tricks- some spend time vacuuming couches, window sills, lightswitch nameplates- some focus on other things- the rotation of teams ensures more items are maintained. I have never had them try to upsell me. If they see a special project up and above the norm, they may ask if I want it done for an additional 30-60 minutes- sometimes I accept- sometimes not.. but I appreciate the offers. I decided to try out Weekend Maids because my regular cleaning person had become unreliable and was doing a terrible cleaning job. I tried them out on two occasions and they sent me Caesar and Alyssia who have turned out to be very thorough, fast and reliable workers. They are also very polite and Caesar speaks perfect English, which is so helpful when discussing cleaning needs and products. Because of the good service and the fact that it only takes two hours with two people working diligently -- I decided to have them come regularly every two weeks. I was especially impressed with the cleaning job Caesar did on my shower and master bath getting out stains that my previous person ignored. He also remembered to vacuum and rotate sofa cushions, and other items I pointed out that were regularly missed by my previous cleaning person. My kitchen and bathrooms are now sparkling clean, my wood floors, carpets and baseboards are dirt, dust, and cat hair free! They are always on time, work diligently and are very polite, which is extremely helpful. Bianca and Milly in the office have always been very courteous and keep me well informed about my next cleaning appointment and other pertinent information. After trying a couple of the big names like "molly maids" I found weekend maids and I thought hey! Why not? The other companies have been terrible at everything let me try these guys! Let me tell you that sometimes small business are the answer and when I say sometimes I mean every time! From the second they answered the phone it was like they knew I was calling and I was part of the family. Super nice folks! I spoke with Bianca and she gave me a quote but before she provided me with the great prices they have she asked me a bunch of questions some that no other company had asked me! Like if there would be water and electricity still at the house I was moving out of. I thought what a great question to ask! That's when I knew they were gonna be great. They know what they are doing here! Then about 20-30 mins later Rosie called me to give me my arrival window! And was a delight to speak with. Did I mention I requested the cleaning for the very next day! These guys are professionals and if you go with someone else you are wasting your money and paying for a name that does nothing. The cleaners were prompt and worked sooo hard! I was able to get my full deposit back and I can't thank these guys enough! I will be using them again and recommending my friends and family also! I moved out of my apartment this weekend and had two team members come by and clean my place out. Needless to say to anyone that has ever moved, but it sucks and no matter how far ahead you plan, it is a stressful ordeal. Weekend Maids was the least stressful thing about my move. They did a PHENOMENAL job! First, they are one of the few cleaning agencies that have a relatively flexible availability, which worked well with my moving and work schedule. Second, the two team members that came by were there on time and left by the time they said they would. They brought all of their own supplies and I did not feel like was being judged about the cleanliness of my apartment as we walked through. I also appreciated the texting reminders and communication in order to efficiently get in contact with the cleaners the morning of. Third, the cleaning was so good! They got rid of stains that I couldn't get out and my place looked spotless. It even looked like they were able to power wash my balcony. I have used other cleaning services before. Not only was Weekend Maids the least expensive out of the ones I have used, but they were the only ones that did everything I had asked when I made the appointment and did not upcharge from their quote. Frankly, I am puzzled by anything better then 1 star...if there was 1/2 star that would be more accurate. The cleaning that was done was very poor. I paid for 3 1/2 hours (2 cleaners for a total of 7 hours time) $190.00 !!!!! I explained everything carefully AND wrote it down in BIG letters in every room. I came back (the house was vacant...move -in cleanup) 1 1/2 hours early to check up and decide how to prioritize the time remaining. I found dirty blind tops and SPECIFICALLY asked them to be re-done...you got dirt by running your finger on them....Even after a re-do they were still not done. I was very patient and did not want to scrutinize the work to give some trust & dignity to the women. OK...so I was quite unhappy. here is where it gets good. When I called to feedback / complain about the shoddy work, I was told "we didn't clean your house"....really? BUT you SENT them and as such they represent your agency. After 10 minutes on the phone I realized that she did not get it and there was no responsibility on the part of the agency to assure a satisfied customer. No resolution was really offered so I gave up. Thought someone else considering using their services might want to know. read more

Terrible service and just as bad customer service after the fact!! I purchased 3 hours of cleaning by two ladies for my aging parents after visiting their home with my family. My parents home is beautiful and streamlined with little furniture or clutter. I specified laundry for sheets & towels, bathrooms and upstairs bedrooms. Instead, after 3 hours with three people - 2 ladies and 1 sleezy guy - they only cleaned downstairs, which didn't need it. My parents went to breakfast and ran a few errands. When they returned they said they watched the guy vaccume a small rug for 20 minutes. When the service left, my mom had to do the laundry and make the beds plus clean the upstairs bathroom. In addition, my folks' key fob was missing from their master bedroom drawer. They had to change their locks. When I called to let the company know about our bad experience, the so called "customer service" rep started lecturing me about calling the day of the service instead of after, like that was the issue. I didn't want a refund; just thought they would want to know about the people the sent to work. Then when I became angry because she wasn't understanding the meaning of my call, she hung up on me. I talked to them three time before the service make sure they know what I'm looking for and clarify everything with them before the schedule day. The first representative gave me a flat rate then when I called to ask another question, the second person told me we don't even have flat rates and the first person made a mistake which I said that's fine. They told me we are getting two maids for 3 hours and since we have over 3000 sq home, having two people is needed for the service. I have changed my work schedule so I can be home when the cleaning ladies show up. After an hour waiting, one maid shows up and when I ask her where is the other maid , she doesn't know and tells me I've never cleaned a house this size by myself. I called the agency and ask them for explanation and they told me the second maid didn't accept the job. I would have expect them to call me ahead of time and let me know what's going on but of course if they were professional, they would have done that. I canceled the service right away. Not only I lost the day of working but I had to clean my house all by myself. read more

After an hour waiting, one maid shows up and when I ask her where is the other maid , she doesn't know and tells me I've never cleaned a house this size by myself. I called the agency and ask them for explanation and they told me the second maid didn't accept the job. I would have expect them to call me ahead of time and let me know what's going on but of course if they were professional, they would have done that. I canceled the service right away. Not only I lost the day of working but I had to clean my house all by myself. read more

Do not hire this company! They are not professional and don't know how to run a business. I talked to them three time before the service make sure they know what I'm looking for and clarify everything with them before the schedule day. The first representative gave me a flat rate then when I called to ask another question, the second person told me we don't even have flat rates and the first person made a mistake which I said that's fine. They told me we are getting two maids for 3 hours and since we have over 3000 sq home, having two people is needed for the service. I have changed my work schedule so I can be home when the cleaning ladies show up.
