Such a civilized place to shop ~ and this time, we had lunch here. Had the "Mexican" food bar...yummy kale salad with pepitas, the corn cake was superb. Then, I had to have a small cappuccino, and life is good! The store has accessible and clean restrooms and a substantial parking lot, much of it covered from the hot sun. Good. Large. Clean. Generally a wide variety, but a huge emphasis on the store brands. A very pleasant in-store experience. Even pre-pandemic they were not great at keep stocks up. I suspect it's because the New England stores are outliers from their mail distribution routes, not local management. Online ordering is awful. Items are not listed that are in the store. Instacart service is horrible and not worth the premium. We've had so many incorrect substitutions and even had the entirely wrong order delivered. The shoppers buy for multiple customers at the same time (delaying deliveries) and even against policy will delegate delivery to someone else. read more

Sorry, Wegman's is over rated. Yes they are big and have good variety and for that they get three stars. Their prices were once great, but not now. Almost $6 per pound for chicken thighs! That's just insane. The produce is cheap but the quality is inconsistent. The liquor selection is nice but again prices aren't where they should be. They have a lobster tank, a toy train in the sky, and very cool carts for kids so if you've got a little one it's a fun place to shop. The selection is good and there are some good deals on things like rice or deli meat. When it opened I would have given it five stars but it just isn't the store it was then. There's a Market Basket down the street with much better prices. But Wegman's has a few higher end items you won't find there. To sum up, not a great value, but there are still some things that make Wegman's worth a visit. read more

I think this is my favourite supermarket! It is also my first Wegmans ever in Boston! I did not know Wegmans served this locality too! I wish they would come to Connecticut. The prices are waaaay more reasonable, the selections vast and varied, even though they had run out of organic avocados and limes. And when I dropped a tray of garlic, one of the supermarket staff didn't even stop by to help me put the tray back even though he walked right past me, for which I removed a star! Seriously?! You are just going to ignore a customer instead of helping them? However, as i said, I liked their offerings, their prices and their varied deli items which they have an amazing selection of and a cafe attached to the premises. We didn't stop for a coffee there but it sure looked good! And it was all very clean! And did I mention it was very big?! read more

I have a bad experience today at Wegman's in Burlington. When I was ordering the Inari sushi with warm rice, one of the sushi team members she was refusing my order and talk about myself behind the counter. However, I asked if the SM available? Unfortunately, No. Kitchen manager came out and talked to me and he had made me one pack of Inari sushi. With the price point I'm paying for and with this kind of service I don't think this is a great place to shop. Wholefoods is way better than this!!! read more

If this place doesn't have it, Then no one does or it doesn't exist This place is insane. You can get everything from a pizza to hair spray, fresh produce, liquor, to pre-made meals. The food that is pre made is not fine dining, but the next best thing to home made. They also have an extensive wine and beer section that is reasonably priced. Dear Wegmans, I've been meaning to write you since you first arrived in town 3 years ago, but life just got in the way. I first laid eyes on you in 1991 while I was in college at SUNY Buffalo, and you pretty much had me at sushi. Yes, sushi. You were the first grocery I ever met that had affordable ready-made food, In those days between eating 10 for $1 packaged ramen noodles and spaghetti with Ragu sauce, you were my weekly treat. But I guess you never took notice of me. Afterall, I was just a young punk. I've grown up now, happily married, and you lost your chance. But when you moved into my neck of the woods, I thought Whoa, be still my beating heart. The temptation was too great and I just had to see you again. You've improved quite a bit these last 3 years, I guess settling here took awhile. That improvement made me break off completely from the others, except Trader Joe's. I still go there from time to time. But you're more approachable than Whole Foods, you're a lot more civilized than Market Basket, and most importantly, you hang out with some great, friendly people....unlike Stop & Shop. All 4 live near me, but I don't mind driving the 15 minute drive to see you. I was there today, but I'm sure you took no notice of me. You were busy, as always. You sure have a huge house, and you always keep it so clean. I could always depend on you for carrying my favorite Liberte yogurt, the French lavender flavor. You actually introduced me to it a couple of years ago, and I can never find it elsewhere. I love that stuff....it's so delicious. I also love the fact that you have a big section of alcohol. I always get a few bottles of Guigal Cotes Du Rhone Rouge when I'm there. It's cheaper in your place than the regular liquor stores. But I wish you would give a discount when I buy a dozen bottles like most of the liquor stores I go to. I know I know....I'm already saving money at your place. The lines are always long, even when the place is empty. The produce freshness leaves much to be desired. Recently they stopped giving bags with handles, intentionally inconveniencing their customers. But their prices are "premium". Have to say - was very impressed with how this branch quickly mobilized and implemented safety measures for COVID19. They were one of the first markets in the area to create a new checking out system and ensured that it wasn't super crowded with too many shoppers. I also appreciated how they put purchase limits on certain items to ensure everyone could get their necessities.The people on the floor and cashiers were always super friendly and approachable even during these times. They are consistently out of products I am looking for. However, this review is based on another issue. I am writing this review based on a product of theirs I recently purchased. I bought a can of Wegman's own organic tomato paste. The expiration date on the can was September of 2020. When I opened the can I was surprised to find a can full of disgusting mold rather than the tomato paste I needed. In their defense , I am writing this review before bringing the can back to the store. They do deserve a chance to explain why a product like this was allowed on their shelves. read more

My only prior experience with Wegmans was a trip to their Northborough, MA store when it first opened which didn't leave me terribly impressed. I finally decided to take a trip to Wegmans in Burlington and my experience this time did not leave me disappointed. Great selection of vegan friendly products, clean store, good prices and quick checkout with friendly employees. If I lived closer, I would probably start to come here instead of Whole Foods and probably even Market Basket sometimes. read more

I am at my wits end with ordering catering from this store. We order lunch for the company quite frequently. A large order which always includes a large salad with grilled chicken on it. We order the night before and we pick up ourselves. The last three orders they forgot to put the chicken on the salad. Excuse after excuse where they never own the mistake. "Oh you put the order in late yesterday". Literally, THREE TIMES IN A ROW! This last time we didn't even bother going back. I am done with Wegman's catering lunches for my company. Our favorite Wegmans in the area--roomy, clean, and well-stocked. Not too crowded during the weekends.

We visited a Wegmans in Pennsylvania and loved it. Then we noticed there are a few in Massachusetts so we drove down from New Hampshire to do some shopping. This is a very large store with a very large multi-level parking garage. We parked at the back of the garage and it took forever walking through traffic to get to the front entrance. I don't think we will park so far away next time. Once inside the store we realized this place is huge. There must have been 500 people there and it didn't feel crowded. The selection was extensive and the prices were quite good. Even by paying the Massachusetts sales tax on non-grocery items, we came out ahead. Wine prices were better than NH prices (MA taxes inexpensive wines less than NH and expensive wines more). We were pleased with our shopping trip and will definitely return. read more

I would be remiss if i did not give a huge shout out to the floral department at Wegmans. I was down to the wire time wise, and needed specific flowers for a very special bouquet. Three florists later, wegmans pulled through with a huge variety, very kind, knowledgable and patient employees- and a rock bottom prices that shocked me. The bouquet is stunning! Thank you Wegmans. Had a chance to stop by here for lunch this week. Had a great time. Love the amount of food options for lunch, hard to make choices with so much good food around everywhere. The part I liked the best was the friendly cashiers, a guy who was very friendly to everyone and a woman who looked out for his co-worker and called for help so he could go on lunch. I stopped by the big new Wegmans and wow it certainly is impressive. Here are some of my initial observations. THe place is grand and mega mall huge. Packed, overcrowded, and people in the way, I am in the way, it was so crowded it was unpleasant being there. So crowded, why would people shop here? Prices: Inconsistent. Some items were in line w/ the other stores and competitors. Other items were just plain high and over priced. I got a few items that I can not find in my local Market Basket such as Wegmans brand bucatini for $1.69 lb and Vernors Ginger ale. I did not try the prepared foods. For now, Wegmans will be a special place that I can go browse and partake in the mallesque food court riots of shoppers. Will stay with Market Basket, thank you. read more

This is a fantastic grocery store. The prices are good, the free samples are simple, and the staff is very knowledgable. I had a 5 minute conversation with someone who worked there about the quality of their Fiji Apples. The real highlight of this and really any Wegman's is their wide selection of meats and semi-prepared fresh meals. You can pick up things like Pistachio Crusted Salmon that only needs to be thrown in the oven. They carry their own brand of meats as well as some high end providers like D'Artagnan. You can find your class cuts and interesting stuff too like duck bacon. I could go on and on about the other highlights like they're great cheese selection with a staff giving samples and telling you stories about where the cheese came from. I'm so excited that they've built another location in Burlington, closer to where I live. It's slightly bigger than the Chestnut Hill store with a second floor solely for dining/relaxing. I've found a new favorite lunch spot in Burlington. This place has everything you need! It's so hard to satisfy a bunch of coworkers/friends with different diets and preferences. At Wegman's someone can get sushi, pizza or even Asian and Indian food, all in one place. There is an extensive salad bar with multiple stations (at least 3 types of Kale salad) and a vegetarian bar with hot foods that tempted me (and I'm not even vegetarian) The sushi was absolutely fresh and the employee told me that they did an extensive international research about the fish and sushi ingredients. Wow! Prices might be slightly higher than your average lunch if you get excited like me. I spent 18.00 on a hot meal and a pack of sushi. My coworkers got a large slice of pizza and fountain soda for $ 4.00 and my other coworker got a fresh sub, banana and soda for around $ 8.00. Plenty of parking when we went grand opening at noon and the traffic cops were helpful. I loved the outdoor seating! I definitely will be back again! read more

This place is awesome. Great selection, great hours (6a-12midnight). I can do my shopping before going to work or after. Their sushi selection is pretty good, if you're stuck in the Burlington area. Wegman's meets IKEA in this tantalizing display of excessiveness. As a start, this was my first time visiting any grocery store which featured a 2-level parking garage divided into sections (though I'm sure they exist elsewhere). It's almost as if their store in Northborough is just a teaser - this is Northborough on steroids. For a start, there's the food court, with even more items and variety. The majority of the dining area is a comfortable upstairs terrace with a view of the entire store. It reminds me of the upper deck dining areas of other Wegman's I've visited in New Jersey, but a tad more upscale. But of course, you're here to shop, and not just the loaf of bread and quart of milk kind of shopping. Wegman's always makes it an experience. This one features specialty areas such as the seafood carving stations, a gigantic organic meat section, an aisle o'bakery, and another gigantic natural foods and products area. The prices are typical: some a little high, some quite competitive, good sales and good prices on their own brands. This Wegman's features liquor. It includes incredibly large selections of wine and craft beers. I was also pleasantly surprised to find very competitive prices on several varieties of liquor (competitive for Massachusetts, that is). My only disappointment here is that there's a couple of other package stores in the Burlington area which I really like, and they will have a tough time competing with the inventory and prices here. Wegman's enhances the variety of options you have for grocery shopping in Boston. It's good to have choices, and I'm glad this is one of them. read more

How can I describe this place?? It's like Whole Foods, but even GRANDER. It's the Disneyland of groceries with its parking structure that has different produce labels so you can find your way back to your car. There's a pharmacy. There's an escalator. There's basically an entire mall food court INSIDE of this supermarket. There's a fully functioning model train in the back of the store. There's the elusive Haagen-Dazs green tea ice cream. Their ethnic food aisle is impressive, as is their bulk spice/grain/candy section. Wegmans puts the SUPER in SUPERmarket, and it's a good thing I love 2 hours away because if not, I'd probably be here 7 times a week. read more

It visited this place when it first opened last Sunday and then again a few days ago. Traffic was obviously heavy on the first day but I was easily able to find parking within the garage on my second visit. In a word, this place is incredible and I hope that they are able to keep it that way. I had previously gotten a Wegman's card a few years back and my first interaction with this Wegman was speaking with the worker at the card kiosk at the front of the store. She helped me checked that my card was still active and I was pleasantly surprised that she helped my put in an order for those small key cards as I had never gotten those years back. Walking around the store, we saw that this place was huge and that the food court could be a place of its own with all the cooked food options and the ample seating areas. On the other side of the store was the alcohol section. Even though I've never brought a bottle of alcohol before, I was tempted to try buying some due to their vast selections. In particular, the bottle shaped like a crystal skull was particularly interesting. The meat section is decent and the first time I've encountered vacuum packed raw pork / beef in this state. I've seen other Wegman stores have vacuum sealed chicken but I haven't found it yet here. The produce section could be better. Even though they have a very diverse selection and they were fresh, their prices seem higher. For example, the conventional apples are much more expensive here than at Market Basket. Still, there were some produce items that I've never seen before such as the lobster mushroom that peaked our interest. I'm loving their seafood section so far. On our second visit, we were dazzled by the butcher cutting up a swordfish such that we brought a package ourselves. In summary, we are quite impressed with this store so far and will definitely try to return this weekend to either shop or eat at the food court. Super glad a wegmans opened up so close to me! I must admit that my new favorite supermarket is market basket, but I've always loved wegmans and it's nice to know I have it as an option. They'll definitely have anything that you need. My favorite apples are honeycrisps, and other supermarkets only seem to carry them when they're "in season", but I can always rely on wegmans to have them. Another time, I was looking to buy a whole rack of lamb, and of course they came through when all other places fell short (yes, even MB). This location is also just beautiful. On top of the standard layout of produce, hot foods, and other goods, there is a large seating area upstairs. They even have escalators for your cart, so you don't have to leave anything unattended. The bathrooms are very clean, and come with a variety of amenities (toilet seat cleaner, step stool for kids, etc). One complaint I do have is the self check out. It's a weighted system, which most stores employ, but it seems overly sensitive here. You can't scan the next item until it senses you've placed the first one in the bag, and when you try to remove a filled bag it freaks out. It's really frustrating when you have a lot of merchandise. read more

Beautiful grocery that unfortunately is plagued by extremely poor supply chain management. On any given weekend, the produce section is already picked over and lacking the basic staples. This has happened far too frequently, and I've decided today is my last time coming here on the weekends. Frankly, it's a waste of time because chances are you will need to go to another grocery anyway to finish your shopping. It's a shame because Wegman's is an excellent grocery...when they have items in stock, which is not frequently enough to get a recommendation. read more

However; they have a wide selection, their prices are great, their meat and produce are the best around, they have great prepared foods, and their sushi rivals most restaurants. They also have a liquor store that guarantees the lowest prices in the state. This is the best super market in the area. read more
