I was 25 years old when I visited this dealership. I am a young working professional 9-5 type job so like most people I went car shopping on the weekend. I wanted to look at the mazda speed3 they had several on the lot and in the back. I waited around the show room for nearly 35 minutes with out anyone asking me if I needed help. I decided to leave at that point and as I was walking out the door someone asked if I needed help, I said I did and they said for me to wait 5 more minutes and someone would be with me. I really wanted to look at the car so I agreed to wait. I began to talk to the gentleman assigned to speak with me and we walked around the lot looking at 2 cars in the back that where blocked in. Although there was a model in the front of the lot I could look at or at least sit in. The cars he showed me we could only view because they where boxed in by other cars and covered in dirt and pollen. I told the sales man I wanted to test drive the car. Not only did he not let me test drive it he said we dont normal let everyone test drive these cars because of the model ( b.s.) and if I wanted a test drive I would have to come back in a day. So not only was I car shopping on one of my days off but he told me to come back at a later date. I was amazed what car dealer in their right mind wont let a potential customer test drive there car. Maybe I can see that if it was lets say a Lamborghini or a Bentley. I did have a sweet band t-shirt on and some jeans but last time I check you didn't have to wear a suit and give a blood sample to test drive a car. Also the car costs like 23k.. that's a Honda civic price. So nun the less they called me the next day and I told then how horrible there service was and I didn't want to test drive there stupid car. They continued to bother me for months with emails looking to re-engage me and they more so became a further annoyance. The day after I tried to test drive the mazda I bought a mini cooper s. The people at the dealership where very helpful, let me test drive as many cars as I wanted and I got an excellent deal on the car. also the mini gets better gas millage then the mazda and oh yea its not a mazda! thanks for treating me like a little kid Wellesley mazda, thumbs down. read more

Put simply, do not buy a car here. Here is why: I really wanted a 2014 Mazda 3, and unfortunately had to get it at Wellesley Mazda. I would have to say this has been the worst sales experience I've ever had. I am pleasant to all people and very patient. I realise that people make mistakes and I forgive one or two, as it happens to everyone. But, I have had nothing but excuses, and mostly lies from the sales person I dealt with, Roberta Viana. Being from New Zealand, there are always complications making purchases or getting finance, I realise this. But I was trying my hardest to get through this deal quickly, and Roberta's handling of any documentation was poor. Her manner was, and still is, very unprofessional and rude, especially if you ask too much of her. I appreciate a chance to talk, but Roberta likes to talk over you. She is pleasant at first, but clearly once you have signed one paper, you are no longer a priority, and you hear how busy they are all the time (even though I have been in there a few times, only to see sales people standing around looking bored). Maybe they are bored because Roberta takes all of the work and doesn't delegate very well. An example is when I sent in a document which was urgent. I then didn't hear a thing from Roberta for a day, because she had a day off. Fair enough, but she did not hand over the deal to anyone else. After a number of calls, no one could find my document in Roberta's office. Roberta told me, after I finally got hold of her (not the other way around) when she got back, that she had printed the document and left it on her desk for someone. That would be highly unlikely, as I had emailed the document at 12:20am, and she finishes at 8pm. I do not appreciate being lied to. The reason I sent the document so late is because I had to track it down from New Zealand, and wanted to make sure she had it first thing in the morning. Also, Roberta does not let you know when she has a day off. Instead, she leads you to believe that "the bank we are dealing with is working very slowly." This may be true, as they cannot work quickly if nobody sends them the necessary paperwork. The lease was completed 12 days after I initially walked into the dealer. Very inefficient. I don't doubt it is hard to get finance for someone from New Zealand, but Roberta's lack of communication and inefficiency in handling paperwork is a huge disappointment for me. I had made the first lease payment at the dealership on day one of the deal, and was told that my next payment would not be due for another 60 days after receiving the car. My next payment was mailed to me, and was in fact due 30 days after picking up my car. Roberta said she was unaware this would be the case. This is something Roberta should check up on before offering a first payment deal that is "very convenient for customers, who are happy their next payment isn't due for 60 days." Over a month has passed and I have still not received the registration certificate. I did not receive it on the day I picked up my car, but Roberta claims I definitely received it and I have lost it. Can I add that she was not there the day I picked the car up, so her accusation that I received the registration and "have lost it" cannot be accurate. Roberta is now very annoyed that she has to look through a pile with a months worth of documents to find my registration. First, I would hope they have a better filing system than just piling everything up for a month. Second, I didn't actually receive my registration, so I should be the angry one, yet I am still relatively patient with her. I have still not received the registration, after being talked to by the police, and kindly let off as they understood my situation. I am worried next time I will strike a cop that will not be as forgiving. I have already seen a yelp reviewer who also did not initially receive their registration, so I see a pattern forming on her end which does not favour her argument. If they are busy, and dealing with so many customers, they should think about hiring more staff. In my case, they should probably review the staff they already employ. That is enough for now, without touching on other things, like how long they made me wait in the showroom on several occasions. I really like Mazda cars, but unfortunately this dealership has not represented the brand satisfactorily. Not a happy customer here. I hope my problems are resolved and things in the future go smoothly. P.s. I hope my tone wasn't too harsh, but I just want to make sure everyone knows what they're going to be dealing with. read more

Wow, avoid this place like the plague! Been in there a couple times and I honestly thought one of the salespeople I worked with stopped growing mentally at about age 5. Then I called to get a lease quote and the number they gave me was $200 more per month than what another dealership offered for the same car! When I told the guy who gave me the quote that I could get an Audi for the price he gave, he told me to get the Audi and hung up on me. Generally not a good idea to hang up on a potential sale. Might even motivate someone to not only never step foot in your dealership again but also contribute to your already awful reviews on Yelp! read more

Alexandra was our sales associate and we had a great experience with her. She was very professional and we appreciated the negotiations being straight forward and easy. She kept in contact with us throughout the entire buying process. She was even willing to pull up different vehicles so we could see the different interior options. The 5 stars are for her. The experience picking up the car with the coordinator was less than stellar. I called ahead a couple hours to confirm that our 530 appointment was going to be OK since we didn't have a lot of time. We didn't need a tutorial of the car, we just wanted to sign and leave. I was assured by Matt that it would fine and he would get us out of there efficiently. We arrived on time and another associate told Matt we were there. Matt passed us several times with absolutely no acknowledgment. We kept waiting until almost 6pm. If it wasn't for another gracious associate who was very nice and helpful offering to grab the few final papers for us to sign and handing us the keys who knows how much longer we would have waited. We would go back and buy another car from this location, but I wish there was better preparation when appointments are made. read more

I bought a new car from this place and within a few days of owning it, one of the tires blew out because of a razor blade cut near the rim. I went back and demanded that they fix it and the general manager told me to have a nice life and to get off his lot. You'd think that for $135 they would try to keep me as a customer but they clearly don't care once you roll off the lot. read more

My family and I went to look into leasing a car (which we eventually leased at a different dealership) at the Wellesley Mazda dealership and after coming back from the visit my wife mentioned that she was missing $300 cash from her wallet. She checked her wallet before going to the dealership and she had it then and we found out we were missing this cash when we arrived home straight from the visit. The wallet stayed in the car as we were talking to a salesman at the dealership so during the visit we parked incorrectly at the dealership in which a salesman from Mazda was kind enough to find us a parking spot and park the car for us as me and my family were inside the dealership talking to our salesman. We finished the trip to the dealership and went straight home when my wife noticed that she was missing the cash which was in her wallet so we I tried and contact the GM numerous times which was from the day we noticed until about 2 weeks later which he finally called back and said he would look into it. I had a dash cam working in my car at that time which showed the salesman moving our car so that the manager could look into it but he never acknowledge that he received the video nor did he look into it as he never followed up once. At this point we were now suspicious that I could have been that salesman and they are trying to cover it up. We never suspected the dealership until the manager never followed up and now we feel they are covering this up hoping the issue goes away on its own. read more

I love my mazda cx-9. amazing car. I wish I had gotten it somewhere else. Bill was attentive and sweet until I signed the papers. Then he was gruff, snapping at other employees and telling me just how busy they were all the time. I looked around. I was often the only one there. If that was my definition of busy, I'd be rejoicing. You should see other lines of work. We signed up for the extended service agreement. Changed our mind 24 hours later and went back to tell the finance person to cancel it. 5 months later...it's still on our bill. There's been at least 10 calls to the manager and emails. Found a nice priced pre-owned car here on an online ad (Truecar.com as well as their own website). I'd called to inquire as to whether the car was still available and Carlos told me it was, I asked if I could come see it and he said sure that he would be there. I told him I'd be there in ten minutes (which I was). However, when I'd arrived I was told that Carlos had to leave on a family emergency (no problem) and I was now to work with Ty to discuss the details of the vehicle. He took my license and filled out a worksheet with my personal information and made me wait for about 45 minutes only to tell me that the car I wanted was no longer in stock and had been sent to auction. I was lied to and my time was completed wasted. It's incompetence like this that makes me hate the car buying process, dealerships and salespersons. I'm not going to sugar coat anything about my experience. Its has been 19 days since I bought my car and I received an email from my sales agent asking me to quote; "If you have a few minutes please take the time to write a review on Google mentioning your experience of working with me at Wellesley Mazda. As I told you before, my bonus are structured on great reviews and surveys from my customers. " Maybe I caught them on a very busy week. but I am unsure how this company has such high customer service rating when they cant even deal a busy sale night. I had a friend by his Mazda at Wellesley Mazda last year and he seemed to have a great experience. I knew the car I wanted to buy, I did the research and checked the dealership inventory. I live and work over an hour away. The night I came to the dealership I was greeted right away by Alex (the sales agent) we sat down I explained what I wanted to finance, trade in & etc. After learning the car I came for and TEST DROVE was going to be priced $100 more a month then originally thought. Slightly disappointing as I spent the whole night looking at it. I went with a 2013 Mazda3 Hatchback. Once the purchase agreement was signed it was late and they told me they would call the next day to finalize the financing. Needless to say no one called. I called them 4 times over the weekend and was told to leave messages someone would call back. I was kind of getting the run around and they told me the only person to speak with was Greg the fiance manager. This was my first car purchase, I didn't know what to expect. I had a lot of other questions. I feel like once I signed for the car the sales people cleaned there hands and passed everything off to him. When I went to pick up my car (7 days later) I was told to "wait over there for the service guy Alex and FA manager". After about 45 min of starring at my phone, a few glaces from the sales people the "warranty" guy Alex came over, rushed through my warranty info. asked me the same 5 questions everyone else had and wanted me to sign before I had looked over the car again. When we went over the car, which was rushed again, I found the car key battery almost dead. Alex at first didn't understand what I saw asking. They told me I could easily change the battery myself. I said no, I will come back and they gave me an "I owe you'. While there they seemed so busy running around with there heads cut off. We waited some more, then finally meet with Greg the FA manager to 'finish' my paperwork. He seems like a nice man but completely rushed through all my paperwork. Told me "It was a busy day and he had a line of people waiting" He was talking so fast and almost under his breathe I found myself asking what he said more than once. I really didn't care if they were busy. At one point I told him, 'This is my first time buying a car and I'm not rushing anything, I'm going to read everything'; he seemed to get very frustrated with me. Asked me again the same questions about trade in, switching plates. Was not a positive experience with him. Absolutely no communication within the processes. Unfortunately after dealing with sales and finding my first car I felt handed off, rushed & unimportant. read more

Went here to buy a used car because I had a budget and didn't want to finance. Liked what I saw online, called to inquire, said the cars were actually there. A lot of dealerships post representative cars that they often have, but do not currently have, just to draw you in. Appreciated that they weren't lying. Sales rep Henry was basically no pressure, spent a lot of time with us, even though we were going to buy the cheapest car on the lot or the 2nd cheapest. Very clearly explained buying options. After signing P&S I had a lot of changes to when I wanted/was able to pick up the car, they just rolled with it, very helpful. They don't negotiate prices, at least not on their used vehicles, but price was still less than KBB max good value range. Showed me all carfax without hesitation, also. read more

Wellesley's service department has done well by me; they're the only one of three I've tried that didn't make me feel like a petty criminal for asking for warranty work. Loaner cars need to be scheduled in advance, but I prefer that to playing roulette -- and they're all Mazdas, not generic rentals. No upsell tactics on scheduled maintenance, either. I went with a friend who recently bought a new Mazda there, and the salespeople seemed laid back, respectful, and knowledgeable. A little pressure on the extended warranty, but nothing too extreme. My next Mazda will definitely come from Wellesley. read more

Five years ago, I received a recall notice for my old Mazda, something to do with an airbag. So I brought it there (nearest Mazda dealer) and after they gave it back, once I started the engine, the warning light came on. I told them - someone ran out of the shop and fiddled a bit under the dashboard - no further problems. No big deal. A month ago, in my new Mazda, the engine light comes on! (those are the only two issues we've had with our Mazdas over almost 6 yrs) Back to Wellesley Mazda - 'We've found the problem and ordered the replacement part. We'll call you when it arrives'. 4 weeks later: 'Hello, has my part arrived?' - 'Let me check... Um... We'll call you back'. This time, they did, and in only a couple of days. So we made an appointment and I asked to change the oil at the same time. When the day came, they had no record of my oil change request - not scheduled! Nor could they just go ahead and change it anyway. (Serious business, an oil change) 'Come back another time'. Um... I'll think about it. They wash customers' cars though. Nice. read more

Do not expect anyone to call you back to let you know when your car is ready, if you left a message with a question, etc. I will never purchase from this dealership again and will tell anyone I know not to purchase from them. Agree with other reviewers. Low ball the trade-in. Drag out the sales process. And staff are incredibly rude. Well, they were nice when I was buying but once I bought it was a different ball game. If you like rude service people who don't even know that they're being rude to you, this is the place for you. Confrontational service director? Check. Corner cutting? Check. The only person in their service organization who treated me like a human being moved into the repair shop. I'm sure he's doing good work in there too, but it's left the caliber of service you get from the service counter severely lacking. As I've stated elsewhere around the internet, Wellesley Mazda has a pretty sketchy repair reputation. My final problem with them involved the power steering pump in my 2008 Mazda3 5-door and its failure outside of the factory warranty. The 3rd party extended warranty service I'd purchased (through Wellelsye Mazda) refused to cover the repair citing that they're not liable for corrosion of any sort. At the time this problem was addressed by a technical service bulletin; it's since been escalated to a recall. Wellesley Mazda tried to charge me $800 for the repair even though we both knew that this was a factory problem that I couldn't have possibly caused. After a confrontation with their rude service directory, they offered to call Mazda and ask them to extend coverage for this repair; they told me it might take a week. being fed up with being spoken to like an idiot, I called Mazda myself that same day and had verbal authorization to have this repair performed anywhere I'd like less than an hour later. I brought the car to a different local Mazda dealership, who told me that their regional Mazda representative had already authorized them to repair this problem for any car that had it, regardless of warranty coverage. They also said that they didn't understand why Wellelsey Mazda was making a big deal about it but that they were happy to have my business. They even had a 2010 Mazda3 loaner car waiting for me when I got there. A week later, someone from Wellesley Mazda called to tell me that Mazda wasn't going to cover the repair and that the cost was still $800. I never called them back, and I'm never bringing my car back to them. I don't think they even called their Mazda vendor representative, since they're in the same area as the dealership that took care of the repair. read more

Writing a review about a Massachusetts car dealership from California may seem strange, but hear me out. We live in Los Angeles but wanted to get a car for my Mother who lives in Newton. We began researching the Altima, Honda CR-V, Ford Fusion, and Mazda6. Now there are a lot of dealers to choose from in Eastern Massachusetts, and being in LA we had no preference as to which one we were going to use. So we ended up looking at inventories online for something in our price range and then sending my mother out to see if it was something she felt comfortable with and liked. Let me just say that of all the dealers (MUZI, Baystate Chrysler, Clay Nissan, Quirk Mazda, Weymouth Honda) she visited to test drive multiple cars across multiple brands, the only dealer/salesperson she mentioned by name was Roberta at Wellesley Mazda. Also as it happens she liked the 6, so we started looking around for those. In LA, being the car mecca that it is, we are used to having dealerships that stretch on for blocks and blocks, with hundreds of cars to choose from, teams of salespeople and rows of finance cubicles. We looked online and saw that Wellesley was a smaller dealership and I was immediately skeptical that we could achieve a good price at a lower volume lot than we were used to. I flew in that Friday and immediately we went down to Quirk in Quincy to haggle, hoping to get it out of the way early in my trip. Quirk was definitely the car dealership type I was used to. It was so big I think they had a lot on every corner in Quincy. We test drove a 6 and went in to negotiate. After a few hours we had a price that I could live with, but something else was bothering me. I realized that even though this was the kind of place I was used to, I wasn't sure I would send my 70 year old mother here and expect her to be treated well. It was a volume place with busy salesmen eager to make a deal. We told them we'd think about it and left. The next day we decided to give Wellesley Mazda a try since my Mother had been so impressed by Roberta on the test drive. When we got there the showroom was VERY busy. We went in and met Roberta and walked around the lot for a few minutes to make SURE this was the car my mom wanted and felt comfortable driving. Roberta and I had her sit in the 6 again and from outside the car she looked comically small behind the wheel. I began to think this wasn't the best-sized car. Roberta agreed and offered to pull a Mazda3 around. We found one that had pretty much all the same options as the 6 and took it for a drive. Well my mom loved it and after comparing the two she decided on the 3. (great! less expensive!!) Roberta took us around on the back lot to look at some colors and was very patient, once we indicated we were very interested in the car there was no pressure on myself or my mother and I appreciated that. I also quickly texted a friend of mine in LA to independently look up the invoice as this was not a car I had researched. We went inside and sat down in the still bustling showroom to negotiate and it went very quickly. After spending the afternoon in Quirk I realized that Mazdas don't come down in price quite as much as say a Dodge or Mercury, both of which I have bought. Roberta had no problem discussing an "out the door" price. She came back with an invoice price that was only $100 different than my friend in LA had looked up. I felt she was being honest with me and she was very transparent about the process. Our trade in was handled well, I found that price was easier to negotiate than the actual car price since the margins seemed pretty slim on the new car. Within an hour we had arrived at a deal, painless. We went off to get some lunch and a bank check, and when we got back Roberta was helping another customer but took the time to introduce us to everyone else at the dealer that would be handling our transaction. Tom in finance and Alex in charge of registration and new car delivery, both treated myself and my mother with respect and Alex was especially patient while explaining warranties and service to my mother. Even though at that point the car was purchased and the dealer was closed for the day. Our insurance company was closed on the weekend so we could not take delivery of the car that day. Unfortunately I had to return to LA on Sunday so I could not be there when it happened. Monday my mother went in for the pickup. I got a bluetooth call from She and Roberta as they were sitting in the new 3 and Roberta was making sure my mother knew everything about the car. They spent over an hour going over everything and Roberta made it very clear that if there was something my mom needed help with to give her a call. Overall very satisfied with buying, obviously haven't tried the service dept yet but I have confidence we will be taken care of. read more

Tried to sell me a car with manipulated mileage! I went to Wellesley Mazda with interest in purchasing a used volvo v50 t5 awd with a manual transmission which turned out to be a LEMON. The salesman was very kind however not very helpful with little to no knowledge on the car itself and it's current state. I negotiated and put a refundable deposit down on the car pending an inspection from a 3rd party mechanic and thought I had made it clear that the price was open ended pending the results, I don't trust dealerships and this cements that sentiment. The mechanic pulled a manipulated mileage from the cars computer as well as a slew of other errors and also said the car desperately needed new belts. I brought this information back to dealership and. They treated the mileage manipulation ad a non-issue, I was baffled. If they had come down on the price to cover the repairs I would have most likely purchased the car and just ran it into the ground as you would never be able to trade it in to any reputable dealership with the manipulated mileage. The sales manager was extremely quick to get angry once he was brought over. I got my deposit back and left. Do not buy from Wellesley Mazda. read more

After deciding to look for a car with a lower monthly payment and better gas mileage, we began looking into different cars and going to a few dealerships to get an idea of what our options were. the current car came from a toyota dealership in town, so we thought that would be a good place to start. i have never felt like a hostage before then. after repeatedly informing the salesman that we were just looking into options, shopping around, he became pushier and pushier about getting us into a car we didnt even like to take home that day! 3 hours later, we literally ran out of there incredibly frustrated to say the least. car dealership at its worst. flash forward to Wellesley Mazda, and Paul, the newest member of their team. we walked in and Paul greeted with a smile and asked us what he could do for us. never pushy, never leading, always just asking us if we had any questions. he listened when we told him what we wanted, what we didnt want and gave us all of our options straight up. He was really genuine and very helpful. He brought over his manager Dan to help us with the number game, and Dan was really good about making things work out for us. i never felt like we had to haggle or that they were just throwing out numbers. (Toyota by the way started us out with lease payments at over $500 a month and then magically dropped them down to just over $300 when we tried repeatedly to leave. Makes you wonder how up front they are with you when you walk in) Alex was great going over all of the small details about the car when we went to pick it up. i knew nothing about bluetooth, which is what i told him when he asked, and he went over the set up with me. he could have just assumed i did, or told me to read the manual. From start to finish this place was great. i was never stressed, always felt in good hands, and thought that everyone there was happy to be working there, which imparts a happy experience on the customer. When we went to Mazda we were still "just looking" but felt really good about the way they do business and how they treat the customer, so we sat down and signed papers that day. i would highly recommend them to any one interested in buying a car, we love the Mazda 3 and could not be happier. read more

Didn't by my car there, but serviced it several times and the "service" in their service department frankly sucks. First they never called when the car was done even though I always asked. Dropped off in the AM for an oil change, called at 4 and they hadn't even brought the car in yet. Then they told me I needed a new catalytic converter ($1400) and reset my check engine light. The car was 3k out of warranty, Iasked them to call the regional guy and see if thy could make and exception. They told me to call Mazda myself. 35k miles later original cat is fine, passes emissions, and no more check engine light. And it literally took me half a dozen times to get them to remove me from their robo call service reminder system. read more

My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee was in a major accident back in May, and I'd spent alot of time trying to figure out where to shop and what I wanted to buy. I knew my price point for monthly payments and all the specs I needed/wanted in a vehicle (V6 because of gas prices, leather interior because of my dog, moon roof/sun roof, navagation and maybe a DVD). After about a month of searching for what I really wanted, I couldn't find it, then my friend had mentioned traveling to Rt. 9 too look there. As I traveled down I spotted a nice 2008 Cadillac SRX (one of the cars on my wish list)at a small dealership next to Dunkin Dounuts (I was buying a coffee). I was approched by a wonderful, friendly young man, who introduced himself as Paul Liaknickas (very hard to pronounce). Now, I HATE being hasseled into deals like most car dealers do, but this was NOTHING like that. He explained everything very well, and never hassled me into anything. I told him what I needed and wanted in a vehicle and that I was interested in the SRX. We then took the car for a test drive, and I asked for a Car Fax report to make sure there were no proir accidents. The car had EVERYTHING I wanted. I was amazed! We spoke about numbers and price, then I spoke with Darren about my credit score and finance options. I let them all know I would have to sleep on it and would be back the next day after work. I had to discuss money with my boyfriend, and make sure this was something we could work into our budget. I came back the following day to sign all the paperwork, I spoke with Paul again and he helped me every step of the way. Mitch Harris helped me too explaining every piece of paperwork I signed. Bait and switch, dealership! Be aware! They lie routinely and sell cars they don't have. Rodrigo says he can get any car and color for you, when they can't they try to pressure you into another, less desirable car. When you ask when they can get the car they literally sold you, they have no idea. When you ask for a timeframe, they ask you to leave the dealership. Oh, and they hang up on you when you attempt to pick up the car you buy (that does not exist, mind you). Other Mazda dealerships had warned me to stay away from this place, and were they ever right. Even Volvo across the street said they had a horrible reputation. The State is aware of the illegal practices they engage in, so let's see how long they stay in business. I purchased a car from here early March and I enjoyed the experience quite a bit. They explained their policy to me about how much the salesman makes regardless of what the car gets sold for, which is nice because it doesnt make me feel like they wont give me a good deal because their pay is on the line. I had been blessed with a man named Mitch Harris. it was a LONG process in making a deal and it was way past closing time. regardless of that Mitch remained professional and polite the whole time. He understood where I was coming from and made no attempt to pressure me into a sale. As for service, the waiting room is small but I dont care about size. I did however wonder why I got no reception from my cell phone in a waiting room with windows. My Verizon people was not in the waiting room with me. Service time was fair, not the quickest but I prefer they do things right and not right now. All in all I felt like a well treated customer and i most certainly will return for service at Wellesley. read more

I leased my CX5 from Wellesley Mazda two weeks ago. In all, I had a 3.5 star experience. The salesperson who helped me was nice and not too pushy. It helped that I already knew what I wanted, though the question was whether I would get it from Wellesley Mazda. I will save you time and skip the details... The bottom line, however, is that the salespeople seemed clueless about the entire paperwork process. My experience was the opposite of smooth and led to lots of angry phone calls. My salesperson was not able to answer a lot of my questions, such as requirements for insurance policies (I leased the vehicle) and other crucial details. As a result, I picked up my car two weeks after the anticipated date. I hope they simplify and improve the car buying experience at Wellesley Mazda! read more

I would not purchase from Wellesly again. My transaction was different then most in that they had a specific used car I was interested in and I would be flying (from out of State) in to pickup the car. I asked specifically if the car was in the condition shown on their website, Bill Innelli stated it was. You can imagine my surprise when I arrived and the front bumper was scratched and the front grille broken and the licence plate holder missing. For me, not a deal breaker as I'm not too concerned about aesthetics. But, without a front licence plate holder the car will not pass safety inspection in Maine. Bill Innelli was the sales rep I had dealt with over the phone and via email through the whole transaction and he was always very responsive. The day that worked for me to pickup was Bill's day off (Thursday), so rather than bother him on his off time I thought it's such a small issue I'll contact him the next day (Friday). Well, no response to my phone call or email. I knew Bill was off for a weeks vacation on Saturday (I knew this from our previous conversations). Since I knew Bill was away I forwarded my concern to the Manager Darren Bonano, who has never responded. I am leaving this very negative review over what my research shows to be a $50.00 to $100.00 issue. However, it's not about the money, it's about the mistake with the photos not being accurate after knowing that I was relying on them to make a decision and not even responding to my concerns after the transaction. In my initial dealings with Bill Innelli I felt he was being very honest and I was happy to give him the benefit of the doubt on the oversight with this car's bumper thinking that my concern would be addressed easily when he returned. Unfortunately, I now think my initial comfort with Wellesly Mazda and Bill Innelli were a mistake. I cannot recommend this dealership, if such a low cost issue is a concern it makes me really wonder other corners may be cut. read more

I feel ripped off. I had service at Wellesley Mazda today. There was recall on my Mazda 6 rear brakes. The e brake stopped working because of whatever the defect was. I needed rear brake pads and rotors anyway. But since they had to remove the calipers which is most of the labor I can tell you (since I my own brakes sometimes). Why did they charge me 489.95. Shouldn't the recall have covered the cost of most of the labor? Why did I get charged so much? This is why I don't trust dealerships. read more

I was shopping for a car for my kids, and Alexa took care of me. She helped identify the right car to meet my needs (a CX-3), brought a car out for a test drive, and explained about the car's features and a bit about the dealership. She was very pleasant, and she contacted me later to make sure that I had all of the information I needed. Ultimately, my kids picked a different brand, but I appreciated the time that Alexa and Greg (one of the sales managers) spent with me. I'll start my saying that I did NOT end up buying a car here, but had a great experience none the less. I came in and before I even got in the door, Wayne greeted me and asked how I can help. I told him I was looking for a MazdaSpeed3 and his face lit up - was happy to show me the car they had and answer any questions I had about it. I had quite a few technical questions and he knew it all. We test drove it and he was helpful but never pushy or aggressive - only told me stuff when I asked. He clearly knew everything about the car and really loved that car. I needed to bring in my trade in which I did the next day. Again Wayne was very welcoming. We sat down, i asked him to clarify some things on the warranty and he did. The price I wanted was below what he could make and the manager Danny came out. Things got a little worse here, as Danny was long winded and a bit aggressive. Still not too bad but instantly made me less inclined to buy the car from them when he said things "I can't run a dealership like this". I explained where I was getting my numbers from and they listened and acknowledged that I wasn't saying anything unreasonable. Eventually we parted ways on $500, although they called me the day after agreeing to my offer. Unfortunately, I wanted to explore some other deals and walked away. If not for Danny's games I would've made the deal on the spot, but it is what it is. I'm not against coming here in the future.
