As an out of state customer searching for the perfect Golf TDI, I had contacted several dealerships within a 300 mile radius from me that had some in inventory. Wellesley VW was by far the most welcoming and transparent from start to finish. I had initially spoke to Meghan in internet sales who was kind enough to pull the car into a well lit service bay on a cold, rainy day to send me additional photos. When I had mentioned another dealer I had spoke to tried to add in a $1,400 'reconditioning fee' on top of the listed price to get the TDI's road ready again, she was just as shocked as I was and explained that that is not the case at Wellesley. She was transparent with me about pricing, didn't try to rush me off the phone and made me feel comfortable to make the 2.5 hour drive to come see the car at the weekend. Upon my arrival, I was greeted cordially by Andreas Becker who had the car pulled up front for me ready to test drive. Andreas, who is a German expat, myself and my girlfriend, who is fluent in German hit it off immediately, trading travel stories about our adventures in both Germany and the US. Talking to Andreas was like catching up with a long-lost friend we hadn't seen in years. He allowed me to take the car on an extended test drive to ensure I felt fully comfortable with it, explaining all of the benefits of purchasing a certified TDI. Arriving back at the dealer, I explained I had wanted to make the purchase, and my down payment would be dependent on how good of a rate I could get. Andreas asked what I would feel comfortable paying and proceeded to talk to Rami, the Finance Director bringing back good news that they would be able to get me the deal I had wanted: no games, no playing hard-ball, no slick negotiating tactics. While we waited for Rami to finish with another customer, Andreas brought us some pizza to keep our stomachs happy while we waited which was a pleasant surprise. As we chatted more and got to know Andreas, I knew we had made the right decision to come to Wellesley. Rami was also a great guy to talk to as we buttoned up the financing part of the transaction. Buying out of state in Massachusetts, you are not able to get temporary plates to drive the car home, so we arranged to meet at a Connecticut DMV to take care of registration. Andreas took time out of his day, when he could have been making sales, to drive my new car down to me so I didn't have to make a trip back to the dealership. This personal touch was well noted when he could have sent a runner down to take care of this instead. We plan to stay in contact in the future and attend some events with him at his German club long after the sale! I was in desperate need of a new vehicle and had little time to shop around when I decided to browse at VW Wellesley, my first stop in search for the perfect fit. The Sales Rep. I connected with was Andreas Becker who listened to my needs for a car that was large enough to accommodate various equipment, yet compact and fuel efficient for local and highway travel. Andreas discussed various options with me, explained technical details related to each model and gave me the option to test drive a car when I was ready to do so. I just bought a 2015 VW GTI from Wellesley VW and the experience could not have been any better! The particular car I wanted had to be ordered through the dealership and I worked with Marc S. the entire time. Once the order was placed, he kept me updated on production times and when the car may arrive. The communication was great and Marc and the team would always respond in a timely manner to any questions I had. When the car did finally arrive at the dealership, Marc communicated with me all the items he recommend I have ahead of time to ensure a smooth transaction and pickup day. Anthony, the Finance Manager, walked me through all of my financing options and explained all the Warranty options and extra services that were offered to me at the time of finalizing the deal. I bought a beautiful 2017 VW GTI Sport (Manual) from Jens Albrecht at Wellesley Volkswagen in October of 2016. I have only good things to say about Jens and people I met a Wellesley VW. On my first visit, Jens took me out in a GTI for a test-drive. He answered all my questions and did a good job bringing features to my attention. I shopped/drove other models (Mazda 3, Mazda CX-3, Ford Fiesta ST) and felt that the GTI offered the most refinement with the best set of features for me. It's a joy to drive! I also visited another VW dealer in the area. I had used www.truecar.com to get prices from various dealerships. Unfortunately, the other dealership started backing away from the true-car price that they had originally quoted me. I felt this was shady and I went back to Wellesley VW. On my second visit, I was ready to buy. I had an appointment with Jens. We met and quickly agreed on a price. All the paperwork/financing was ready in about 30-40 minutes for my review. I picked up the car a couple days later. When I picked up the car, it was ready, spotless, gassed up and parked in a special area. The delivery felt like an event. I have always driven a VW, and my family has been working with Wellesley VW since it opened in the early 1970s. Though I've been to other VW dealerships and test-driven other cars over the last five decades, I continue to come back to Wellesley VW. With an expanding family, we recently had to trade in our 2005 Turbo Beetle for a larger vehicle that would work better for our two dogs and newborn son. Not only did we get a variety of affordable used and new options, but we were able to work within our budget to meet our safety as well as performance needs. Even though the one thing we _insisted_ on was something unusual and hard to find (a stick shift!), they got us one, had it delivered within our pressing deadline, and made it work within budget. (We did, however, invest in the extended warranty and paint/interior protection packages). Mike Ahern is the current sales manager there and goes that extra mile so rarely seen nowadays. Everyone on the sales team at VW are professional and knowledgable. We worked with Andreas Becker, and he was the consummate professional. I had the greatest experience in leasing beetle SE 2017 with John Nesbitt, Ray and Rami in Wellesley VW. John and Ray offered me the best deal. What's more, John took great care of my insurance as well since I am an inexperienced driver. I had to go though a complex application due to my foreign student status, Rami solved all the problems and successfully got me approved. I felt being treated like a family member during the entire process. When I first reached the office, it was already about to close, but John and Ray were still so patient. They helped me go through every steps in buying/leasing a car, patiently answered every question I had, just to make sure I got what I really wanted. When I left the office, it was already an hour after closing time. When I finally got the car, John was as happy as me. He is also very professional and knowledgable. We recently bought a 2013 Jetta from Wellesley Volkswagen that we absolutely love! It was our first car purchase in 4-5 years and our salesman, Jens Albrecht, was great! He was really patient and took the time we needed to discuss what we were looking for, the different options available based on model and year, and the pros and cons of leasing vs. financing, considering how long it had been since we last bought a car. Everyone that we worked with at the dealership in addition to Jens (Andreas, the Finance Manager - Tony was his name I think?, and the woman in the Service Dept. that handled processing our deposit) was awesome - so helpful and friendly! We had been to another VW dealership in the greater Boston area a couple times over the past few years and walked away both previous times because of the pushy sales tactics and sketchy finance approach, so we were pretty leery when we first arrived at Wellesley VW, but we were quickly impressed by the completely different atmosphere and approach of everyone in the dealership. I wanted to upgrade from my Jetta TDi (which I loved) to something more prestigious. I checked out Mercedes, Lexus and some others. Wellesley Volkswagon was so amazing on the service of my Jetta that I had to consider staying with them. I worked with Andreas. He is awesome! In fact, he behaved more like a prestige brand than any of the prestige brand dealers. I had to insist that Mercedes and Lexus stop calling me multiple times per week to remind me that my time to make the best deal was running out. Andreas always returned my calls within minutes but he never harassed me. He claims it's because he has confidence in his product. As he should. I bought a Toureg TDi and LOVE it. But I have to say, Wellesley VW and especially Andreas will have my business for a long time. I can't speak highly enough for them. Their price for the Toureg and my trade-in were on spot with the best rates posted on the blog sites. They never haggled and never harassed. I brought my Passat to Wellesley Volkswagen after another shop (Cohasset Collision Center) did not install the transmission lines properly, leaking fluid rapidly, resulting in the transmission rendered useless. The staff and workers (Ian and Chris) at Wellesley Volkswagen have been nothing but considerate and understood my needs to get my car fixed in a timely manner. Not only did they fix the transmission problem but they fixed other problems that the collision center did not know or care to address, purely out of courtesy! Wellesley Volkswagen went completely above and beyond my greatest expectations, I could not be more satisfied. This has been probably my 3rd time bringing my car to them to have miscellaneous things fixed. These people KNOW Volkswagens, they get the job done right. Each time I have ever brought my car to another shop it has been disastrous. Spare yourself from the frustration and bring your car into them to get the job done correctly the first time. For me, shopping for a car is right up there with a trip to the dentist-last on the list of things I want to do on a Saturday. Wellesley VW has changed me forever! On Sat. 9/15 I spent the day driving small SUVs, checking out the Hyundai, Ford, Mazda and Toyota versions. Having decided to let VW buy back my 2015 VW Golf TDI (since the offer was too good to pass up), I decided to try and find a newly released 2015 Golf which had being held on dealership lots after the scandal.
