If you don't want to go to a Land Rover dealership to get work done on your British car, Rayteam is the place to go. They're trained specifically on these Euro cars. You don't wanna go to any old mechanic. I'm very pleased with the work they did for me and it cost a lot less than the dealership! Plus I feel like I'm a member of a club when I'm there. read more

Rayteam quite literally did a repair job that nobody else could do. The ABS module in my Mini failed. No independent shop had the equipment or know-how to do the job, and the dealer wanted $5000 for the repair. Rayteam did it for $1800. They were friendly, accommodating, and VERY knowledgeable. When I told them what was going on, they knew exactly what was wrong and quickly came up with a plan to fix the car. It's been more than two years since this happened and their work has held up flawlessly. They're a bit far from me to do routine maintenance with, but if I need a larger, more complex job done they will be the first number I call. read more

I am so happy I found a place to bring my Audi other than the dealership who are ridiculously expensive. This place far exceeded my expectations! They even gave me a loaner car while the work was being done. On top of doing amazing work they are the nicest group of people. Also, their pricing is very fair! Thank you Frank for all your help! I would give them 10 stars if I could! :) read more

I brought these awesome people the biggest project they've ever done. A complete Wiestec W.4 twin-turbo upgrade in my 2016 S63 Coupe, including complete engine rebuild with forged pistons and billet rods. In addition, the transmission clutches we're replaced with racing clutches and bushings and an oversized pan put on. A water-methanol injection system installed, updated (2018+) OLED Taillights and a Quaife Limited Slip Differential replaced the factory diff. The project took over a year to complete, but it was worth the wait. Perfection is what I wanted and perfection is what I got! Frank and his team of experts are absolute professionals with an unmatched level of care and attention to detail you just don't find anywhere else. As you can imagine, this job was expensive, but nobody could have done it better and certainly not cheaper. I'm privileged to be their customer for life. They make me happy to spend money with them, seriously. Thank you Frank, Said, Alex, Sherry, Andrea and everyone else. See you soon. read more

I used Yelp reviews (and more reviews) to decide to bring my 2014 VW Tiguan to Rayteam Automotive for service. I knew my car was in need of attention, but I didn't know the extent of it. Within an hour of dropping my car off, I started receiving photos of areas of concern and areas needing work (primarily brakes) via IM. This cemented my belief that I brought my car to the right people: We had a call a few hours later where we decided what to address today. We included transmission service, too. I had received a loaner car (another Tiguan) so I was able to get around and do errands. My car was ready later that day, and it was also cleaned and washed. The labor and parts costs are very reasonable, and I'm going to continue using Rayteam in the future, too. Everyone I met was friendly and open to explaining what was planned, what we committed to doing and the cost of the work. This team was/is a great pleasure to work with. read more

Excellent service, had brakes done, annual inspection, and will be going here for all my future needs. Lent me a loaner no problem and way more reasonable than the scam artists at the dealerships! read more

The team is very knowledgeable and helpful. I worked with Alex and he took the time to walk through the issues with my car. They were timely is getting the work done quickly. They were also honest in their assessment of my car. I had initially brought my car in because multiple alerts were going off, he checked the alerts and found there was nothing wrong with those items. Instead it was likely the battery which was causing false alerts to go off. I appreciated his honesty and will definitely be using them for any future car issues. read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. Responsive. Professional. Customer first. I came in because my 2006 BMW 325XI was overheating and likely needed a new water pump. They were the only shop that could take get me in within my extremely two day turn around (I am moving my girlfriend to Seattle and driving back to Boston). The person who received most of my initial calls was extremely nice and very receptive to my situation. I felt like the shop was really prioritizing me in the schedule given that I just couldn't wait. She didn't use any gendered terms on the phone, which I really appreciate, as I often get called sir by many mechanics over the phone. As soon as my car was towed in, it was immediately up on the lift. They had a diagnosis that it was the water pump, as well as a few other minor things needing done. They had all the work done by midday Friday, and I came in Thursday at noon. Unfortunately, after I got the car it still wasn't driving smoothly. I was pretty quick to jump on their work, however, they were with me the whole time and cleaned up one of the sensors they installed which helped. They even got me in Saturday morning and did a thorough look over, before having me go to a tire shop to get an alignment and balance, which helped a ton (they said - and I agree - the slight shaking is due to the worn clutch). I really appreciate the patience and care they took with me throughout this experience. I definitely am looking to make them my more permanent shop for as long as I'm in the Boston area! They were extremely nice and even showed me the car when my anxiety was higher. A++ service and devotion to the trade. One thing I would like to see is dedication to gender neutral language for the other employees taking phone calls. I think this is a next great step in your business's customer satisfaction. But you're already doing so many good things!! read more

I have been bringing my cars there for years, I always get great service and professionalism. I highly recommended the shop to all of my friends, they are satisfied and happy as well. It's nice to know that there is still a place that values your hard earned money and gives you great service for a fair price Thanks Guys I will be back read more

Today I went to frank for a oil change, because I didn't make appointment(my fault),so that's no lift left for me, but Frank did whatever he can to help me out, add some coolant and fill oil for me and free of charge!!!!! What a nice guy!!!!! Not because he charge me nothing, is because he really thinking for you! I never satisfied my mechanics before, because they alway want to sell me something I don't need, but after I met frank, he totally change my mind of mechanic, I will always recommend all my friends go to Frank, he is the best!! FYI He called his friend to help pass the inspection during a raining day when others were all closed last time! Thanks again Frank! God bless great people like Frank! read more

Do not take your car anywhere but RayTeam Auto. Frank is absolutely fantastic. My car was having steering pump issues, and BMW charged me $250 for the diagnostic and sent me a quote for a couple thousand to fix the issue. We took the car to RayTeam and they fixed the car and charged me less than half of what BMW quoted. I have brought my car in several times since and the whole team is professional, knowledgable, and most importantly, leaves your car in top condition for an extremely fair price. I would never go anywhere else. I recently traded my car for a non-german model and am so sad to be leaving RayTeam. During the sale of my BMW, Frank offered to speak to anyone interested in buying the car to attest to its safety and reliability. I would HIGHLY recommend RayTeam to anyone looking to fix their German car. read more

RayTeam was attentive, and I felt that they were more honest than most mechanics, however I'm not sure if their prices are fair. Be it as it may, I'll just share the facts. I have nothing against RayTeam, they told me their prices fair and square before doing any work. I brought my 2009 VW Jetta in for not starting at times unless I gave it gas, as well as being told by an AutoZone worker that the engine mounts were in need of attention. RayTeam quoted $1320.00 for replacing two engine mounts. They also said that after running their diagnostic, the issue with the car not starting was in the RELAY signaling, which would cost $187.50 + $30.00 for the part. I took my Jetta to another mechanic who showed me that it was not the case that two mounts needed replacing- one mount was broken, and the other needed a rubber part, but wasn't broken. This other mechanic also figured out that the issue with the car not starting wasn't what RayTeam said it was, it was actually a different issue that happened to be cheaper fix. He charged me a total of $300. RayTeam had quoted $1537.50 for the same repairs. Also, the mechanic I ultimately went to noted that the engine would never simply fall out even with broken mounts. He said other mechanics say this to scare, but the engine couldn't fall down to the ground as it sits atop a metal frame. Doesn't negate the need to replace the mounts. When I asked RayTeam what could happen if I didn't address the mounts asap (because $1320.00 was a price I wasn't prepared for that same day), they told me the engine could "fall out" at any time, which of course terrified me. I didn't appreciate driving around in a hypervigilant panic for two days thinking that every bump I drove over could cause the engine to fall to the street. read more

Hands down...there is no one better in Boston to take care of our VW (or any german vehicle) then Frank and his team at Rayteam Automotive in Waltham. Not only is does he know all about german vehicles, he had the proper software to chech that dreaded "engine light", he is the nicest person in the world. I have been to Rayteam twice, and I highly recommend. They're friendly, honest, and very fair with their pricing.

One of the utmost professional, kind and helpful automotive teams out there!! Highly recommend!!!

Rayteam very nice guys and fair. Alex is the main man. He's my go to. I own a 2013 Golf R candy white. Overall the work has bn satisfactory Only thing I'd suggest.... which is hard to do is. More employees to attached jobs that require more attention to detail. That are willing to take on certain tasks. Other than that. If you have a euro car. I highly reccomend Rayteam. Bmw,Audi, VW etc. Rayteam is a decent place to go too. They are expanding which is great. I will be doing more business with Rayteam as long as I own euro vehicles that no one likes to work on. Rayteam is fair! read more

I can't speak highly enough of the folks at Rayteam. I picked up my Volkswagen Passat this morning after having numerous repairs done to it, and I am so pleased with the results. I bought the car used and after having it for a few weeks, the check engine light went on. I brought it in for Frank and his team to run a diagnostic on it, and when the results came back, they were very honest with the extent of what needed to be repaired (a handful of things). I chose to get the repairs done rather than sell the car. They were great with communication, prompt in their servicing, and just all around kind and easy-going people. The car is running great and I'm so pleased with my decision to have the repairs done. My boyfriend has a BMW and after seeing the level of professionalism and customer service I had here, he will be bringing his car here for future maintainance too. read more

Called on Thursday because my brake pad indicator popped on. I was asked if I could bring the car in at 8AM. I asked what day and she said tomorrow! Dropped my Audi A-6 off at 8 and met Frank and the guys. I was just about to call my son for a ride and Frank asked if I wanted a loaner!! I accepted and went about my day. Frank called at 11 and provided me with an estimate for the repairs. I approved and was promised the car no later than 3PM. I arrived at just a little past 3 and it was ready! This is exactly the kind of customer experience that is lacking in the auto repair industry. Prompt, courteous, dependable people who do what they promise for a reasonable cost. In fact, the same repair would have cost me 50% more at the dealership. Were there any shortcuts? Absolutely NOT. OEM factory parts installed by qualified and experienced techs. I don't want my car to have another problem. If it does, I know where I am going to get it fixed. Thanks to Frank and all the guys at Rayteam. You ROCK. read more

Car was diagnosed and properly fixed the first time. Price was good compare to the dealers.

Frank and the team at Rayteam really took care of me and my car (2012 Audi Q5). They really know their stuff and they were honest with me through the whole process. On top of that, they offer loaner vehicles! This all began when I brought my car into Audi for a recall. During the recall repair, they noticed that my coolant pump was leaking. The quote from the dealer was over $1200. I immediately called around and got a quote from Frank for considerably less! I followed up later and booked an appointment 2 weeks away (They are popular and I had to wait for an appointment with a loaner!) Fast forward to 2 days before my appointment. My car battery dies in an apartment parking lot with nobody to give me a jump! I am near Rayteam so I give them a call. Frank says he would lend me a jump-box for free if I could make my way down there! I call a uber and I am down there in 20 minutes. After I returned with my car and the jump-box, Frank checks my battery and he orders me a new one that can be installed at my original appointment. This experience alone is going to make me a customer for life. On the day of the appointment, I drop off my car and get a loaner from Rayteam. (I got a early 2000's 5 series wagon, which I loved as a car nerd and former 5 series owner.) When I got there, I talked to Frank about my concerns on future repairs (The timing chains are known to go in the 2.0T engines). I could tell from our conversation that Frank knew his stuff. He explained to me the defect in those earlier timing chains by showing me the engine in another car that he was working on. I appreciated this extra effort that he took to do this. The repair itself (water pump and battery replacement/coding) were done in less than 6 hours and Frank called me to personally go over the work that was done. He explained that on top of the repairs, he took the time to replace some hoses that looked worn and checked the timing chain that I was concerned about. He let me know that nothing is wrong with the timing chain so far and he even recommended that I have the dealer do the preventative repair if it could be done cheaper than his shop under warranty. I appreciate the honesty and detail from Frank on this matter. In terms of cost, all oem parts were used and I was charged at a competitive/near wholesale value. The labor was much less than the dealer rate and Frank threw in some freebies (coolant, etc). If you have any german car, bring it to Rayteam Automotive. They are genuinely knowledgeable and helpful. I know I will be going back there for anything else I need. read more

Frank and his team of mechanics have been the best thing to happen to me since I moved to Boston! I bought an old Land Rover and spent a lot of time in the shop dealing with Frank and Said. Both men knew a lot about the car and would go the extra mile when the car left me stranded. When it was time to sell, Frank helped me understand the worth of the car and also helped me find a car that would be the best for me and my family. They are so nice. They always are there. They are quick. They are honest. They are more than fair. I never feel like they take advantage of me as a person who knows nothing about cars. I trust them and honestly never worry about their work or the price! Such a rare thing to say about a mechanic. You will not be disappointed! read more

I've never done a Yelp review before. So this is saying something. TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! I had a some water damage from under my hood that seeped onto an air bag sensor. VW dealer wanted $1400. Took it to Frank and he tells me immediately it is a claimable insurance item (turns out he was 100% correct). Said he could fit the sensor for $950 ("We beat the dealers) . True to their advertising. However, he told me that he might have to do some additional work to get to root of problem that entailed opening my car up a bit more. Asked for my consent before doing so. Communication was prompt all the way. Final result : Car was repaired fully, root of problem was solved and all I had to pay was deductable from insurance. Perfect service and he was a true gentleman to work with. P.S. if you work in Boston, the 505 bus from Downtown Xing takes you Express to right across from their shop. read more

I made an appointment and brought my car in due to an oil leak as well as check engine light. After leaving my car for a day, I came back and Frank showed me where it was coming from. It wasn't where I expected and actually was leaking from multiple locations. He suggested doing it in steps; fixing the obvious ones first, clean it, drive it, and see if there are more leaks. Step one was going to cost about $1100, and step two (if needed) would be another $800. I thought it was reasonable given the amount of work (I used to work in the industry many years ago). I also had an separate HVAC issue that involves taking the whole dash apart that I knew I needed to take care of before the next winter and would cost another $700+. Given the amount of work needed, and maybe more within a year, I decided to trade the car in and start with a clean slate. Frank was honest, reasonable, and easy to work with. I will bring my new car there for service and out of warranty repairs in the future. PS: the shop is behind another shop and is not one of those that paper you with with a waiting room and amenities. This doesn't bother me as Frank more than makes up for it with his personality and expertise. read more
