I have gone here three times. The first two times were to just get a slice of cheese for my mom who is in the hospital up the street. Each time I had to ask for a bag or cover because it was to go. And the employee Seemed to be so bothered by it. Like I wasn't supposed to ask for anything to go to bring to my mom in the hospital. I just went to go grab another slice of pizza and he was really rude and said no. I had to ask him. What does he mean by no and he really wouldn't elaborate. Hello! Ordered the Steak Tip Dinner and was underwhelmed. The French Fries were good, but the tips were VERY tough. I can't tell you how much gristle I had to spit out. One of the tips was SO tough that I could not cut it with a knife! Wow! This is disconcerting because I used to work in a meat room and I know that steak tips ordinarily are very tender, so I am not sure what Wellington's is using for their meat cubes. Chuck? Round? We were in Medford for a stand up comedy show at the Chevalier theatre and wanted a quick and simple place to eat before the show. Did a quick search and found this spot. We walked up and the seating inside is limited but we were able to get a table. It's a classic pizzeria where you goto the counter, order and pay and then your food comes out shortly after. We orders a small pepperoni pizza and 2 drinks and the pizza was done much faster than we expected. It's a traditional thin crust, possibly Greek style pizza and was very good. Not too greasy, but not dry. Toppings were a little sparse, but not awful. The pizza was piping hot and fresh which is great. We also saw some other people come in and get their food faster than they expected as well as lots of people coming in to pick up take out orders. Only issue I had was the drink selection was limited. It was conscience store style coolers with coke products but beyond the sodas not many choices. Oddly enough not even bottled water. I'd return to this spot if I was in the area for sure!!! read more

In our quest to hit every dinery in Medford, we went to Wellington's Pizza tonight. It wasn't crowded and the staff was efficient and helpful. We ordered the Caprese Salad (yum!), a 'small calzone' (for big people I guess! It was BIG), the Diablo Burger with O Rings and 8 of the chicken wings. The Caprese salad was good - solid fare and everything we expected. The Calzone was HUGE - or we are small. In any case, it was yum and enhanced with the marinara dipping sauce. This thing is a great deal for 9 dollars. See photo. We got Spinach and Mushrooms in there and the mushrooms were canned - but I LOVE canned mushrooms. The Diablo burger with O Rings was nothing to write home about. The burger was well well done, as in cooked cooked. The O Rings may have had an essence of onion in them at some time in the past. The standout was certainly the wings. They were perfectly seasoned and hearty. I would come back for the wings by themselves. In general, would I return to Wellington's? SURE. read more

Have been on this local search of the best Pizza place around & my search came to Wellingtons last week. It helps that I can order from them on Foodler and I get points. We ordered a sub, Burger, Pasta & Fried Mushrooms. Italian was huge & all toppings were great & it was really good. Burger was good, cooked perfectly as he likes it. Pasta was GOOD Flavor, really good. But it was too too thick & the shrimp was too dried out. Mushrooms were as you would expect friend corner pizza place ones to be. Would go again to try something else, but still looking for that AHA Moment... Everytime I find one, they close. read more

TERRIBLE! I never want to post a negative review, yet here we are. First, when the delivery driver called me to let me know she was 'here', she was actually in Melrose...I live in Malden. Thus, the 20+ mins delay in delivery left the hot food cold. CHICKEN WINGS: Weirdly discolored with obvious freezer burn. Disgusting and inedible. Threw them away. PIZZA: ordered extra cheese, clearly did not get it. So few toppings. COBB SALAD: Did not get the dressing ordered. CHEESECAKE: Clearly old/stale. Tasted like it was stored next to chopped red onion. The hair that was found sticking to the side of it was a nice touch. Threw it away. I've never had something wrong with each item of an order before. Seems like some reviews for them are great, but definitely not my experience. Will not be ordering again. read more

I live in the real world and can't expect 100 % perfection but Wellington's is about as high as I'd rate any place for high quality food and delivery service. Subs, pizza, onion rings, etc. were excellent and delivery service was prompt and left no room for complaint. I wouldn't hesitate to use them as my first go-to and have to say they skimp on nothing. Pricing? Entirely fair if not relatively better than most are today. I have no qualms at all with Wellington's and I'm a frequent customer of delivery. read more

Overall poor experience, I ordered a large cheese, got a large pepperoni instead. Called to explain the mistake but was told that they are closed. The pepperoni pizza was incredibly salty and the crust on the button was definitely over cooked. Very salty pizza, would not recommend. read more

Ordered delivery from here the other night. Waited over an hour for the pizza and fries which ended up being kinda pricey ($25 all together). I Google mapped to see how far they were from my house and it was only a 3 minute drive!? Not a weekend night either. Food wasn't hot when it arrived, but it was passable warm. Mac and cheese - Probably one of the most comforting mac and cheese I've ever had. I never eat mac and cheese but to be honest I was farking sad this day and this made me feel better. Thank you. I don't like pizza since going to Italy in 2005, but felt like I should try it since it's in the name. I had their special Wellington Pizza. Holy shitballs. Get it. I ate half the pizza MYSELF. Crab cakes. These I wouldn't recommend as much as the others. They stuffing was really far to heavy and thick for my liking. The flavor was nice and when I got a bite of crab it was soft and yummy, but the stuffing was to thick and kinda gooey. Cobb salad - Everything was fresh. Mine lacked avocado, but I'm guessing theirs went bad like mine do so mysteriously fast. The chicken was juicy, and seasoned really well. the outside had a nice grilled char with yummy flavor and inside was super yummy. Garlic Knots - I won't get these again only because I think the devil himself makes them. There is really no describing how tasty these things are. You just have to try them for yourself. I literally just ate my order from here that was delivered via GrubHub and I will not be going back. I got a pretty simple order, burger with fries and a small mozzarella sticks. I had stuff to do so I didn't bat my eyes at the hour plus long delivery, sure whatever. Food got here...looks okay, my mozzarella sticks were undercooked and my fries were undercooked. My burger looked like BURGER BREAD PUDDING and was falling apart in my fingers. What bothers me is A) it took an hour...you think it's okay to wait for an hour and then not spend a few extra minutes to make sure my food is cooked properly? B) you think it is smart to put a wet pickle with soggy undercooked fries and a burger all on top of each other rather than separating them when you are delivering the meal? C) you could have actually been a decent place to go to, but you don't care enough about the quality of your food to ensure a satisfied customer. You should have noticed it was my first time ordering here via grubhub and it was going to be my first impression and it is a negative one so I won't order from here again. We found our new go to pizza delivery place! We ordered it on Grub Hub (love that site) and got a greek salad and a hawaiian pizza. The pizza was excellent! Just the right amount of sauce, ok..I could have had a bit more sauce and less cheese and more pineapple, will specify next time. But, it was good. Great crust, not soggy and not too thin or too thick! The Greek salad was good but wish they had riper tomatoes and the dressing was a bit funky. I enjoyed the feta immensely though. I've ordered from here a few times now, and it is always awesome. I love that their pizza is closer to New York style than a few other places in Medford. Their truffle fries are also awesome - better than I've had in most restaurants. I really hope this place does well, because they certainly deserve it. We ordered for their delivery service for the first time today. Although there was just a couple of mishaps (like getting a large pizza instead of a small - minor deatil!), we were pleasantly surprised that the food was quite good. We LOVED the Margerita pizza (even if it was getting cold because of the cold weather), and the pasta dishes were awesome! Everything came with such a reasonable price and a very friendly and COURTEOUS driver. We are delighted that such a good place delivers (for free!) exists in the neighborhood. I ordered the steak tips dinner with fries. Fries were ok, a little soggy, but ok. The steak tasted like hot dogs. Not impressed. The really cool thing is when I ordered 20 oz sodas online and they sent over cans. 12 oz in place of 20 oz. They of course charged me for 20 oz sodas. Only 60c more per soda but seriously, come on. When I brought this up to the delivery driver he told me they don't sell 20 oz sodas. Ok, so you just list them and charge for them. Don't order from here. I placed an online order which was accepted and then never delivered! Upon calling to check in/follow up: the phone kept ringing with no opportunity to leave voicemail. The charge was pending in my account - my hopes being that it would cancel out the next business day as service was never provided but IT WENT THROUGH! I was on a weekend away with friends and could not be more irritated with what has happened. Having to dispute the charge through my bank because they won't issue a refund just seems so elaborate and reduculous for pizza! Pizza was ok, but the sub was horrendous for the price. 7.50 for a "large" chicken finger sub. "Chicken fingers" were long thing dry pieces of chicken. Asked for honey mustard and received the tiniest smattering of honey mustard possible. I've been a big fan of them for years but the quality has dropped. read more

I have not physically been in this Pizzeria but have just recently been to a Fundraiser Event in MA and Wellington's were the ones to donate their time and delicious food for the good cause.
