The bruschetta is just insane. A GIGANTIC pile of cubed tomatoes and mozzarella, along w/ some obligatory basil dumped onto a few pieces of getting-soggy-by-the-minute garlic bread. I don't think anything could make this taste amazing, but if they laid off the massive dump of tomatoes, they'd at least save some money and reduce the sogginess factor. But the "Wellington's Special" pizza is a piece of art to behold: ranch dressing, sliced potatoes, and bacon on a pizza that tastes kinda like a bagel. Delivery is usually quick to my house. I ordered baked ziti what I recieved was ziti with pasta sauce and cheese melted over it. There was nothing baked about it just fell apart like marinara ziti spaghetti not baked and no seasoning. I'm just saying don't say u have ziti and throw noodles with sauce topped with a little cheese , if I didn't walk I would have returned it . I will never eat here again. Do NOT order delivery from this place. Two of the three times we have they have massively screwed up. The first time we ordered online. An hour and a half later, we called to check, and they claimed they never got our order. This time I called in the order, twice specifying that I wanted a full sheet of pizza, and they delivered a half. When I called to complain about having a house full of people and half the food I needed, they basically blamed me. No apology or anything. The workers have really awful attitudes. Wellington's Pizzeria is not fancy, but it gets the job done. They make surprisingly really good pizza. It's not to greasy, they offer a good amount of cheese to sauce ratio, and it packs good flavor on a thin crust. Since I moved to MA from NYC I have never quite found a pizza place that makes pizza the way I remember from my youth in the Bronx, but this is the closest taste to NY style pizza that I have tasted in a long time. If not everyone in your party is in a pizza mood, they offer a decent selection of sandwiches, subs, and pasta dishes too, in addition to American and Latin sodas! To top it all off, the people who work here are actually really friendly and nice, and make you feel like an appreciated customer. This updated review is long overdue, but I was just recounting this awful experience I had and felt the need to share on Yelp. I was a loyal customer of Wellington's for nearly two years as they had some of the better pizza in the area. However, their delivery had been getting slower and slower and the pizza rarely arrived hot. Still, I enjoyed the pizza enough to put up with the 45-60 minute wait times. The last time I ordered, back in January, was the worst customer service experience I've ever had at any business of any kind EVER. After being told 30-40 minutes, I patiently waited 55 before calling. I was told the driver was a few minutes away. Well, 15 minutes later I called again and was again told just a few more minutes. After three calls to find the whereabouts of my pizza (well after the prime dinner time), it finally arrived, ONE HOUR AND FIFTY ONE MINUTES after ordering! I requested that the driver call his manager to get approval to give me the cold pizza for free. The driver did so and then put me on the phone. The manager refused to discount the unacceptably late order and then said I was lying about the wait time, despite the timestamp on the receipt corroborating me. The manager then engaged in a yelling match on the phone with me before hanging up. I told the delivery driver I wasn't going to pay full price for service I didn't ask for -- cold pizza, over an hour late, complete with verbal abuse. I spoke respectfully and patiently to the driver, who did the same with me, despite how heated I was. I tipped the driver and told him to get his manager to call me back and make things right with a loyal customer. The driver then drove away, leaving me with the cold pizza. Ten minutes later, I had been trying to cool off after this awful experience when a POLICE OFFICER showed up at my door. Wellington's CALLED THE POLICE ON ME! The cop was understanding of my situation and explained that the manager who had treated me with such incomprehensible disrespect had called the police because I had "failed to pay for services rendered." I straightened things out with the officer and resolved to never order Wellington's again. I can't believe the idiocy on the part of the manager who would rather infuriate and lose a customer than discount a pizza that they would have thrown out anyway. For days after this incident I plotted ways to spread the word of this awful service. Instead, I'll settle for the 8 months late review. Act accordingly, Yelp community! read more

I don't have much info to go off of here but I cant understand the disparity in the reviews. I stopped in yesterday after checking out the circle in the square event. This would seem like a chance for any business in the square area to make a good impression there is probably ten times more foot traffic than on any other given day. I just wanted a slice for the stroll home. Wellington you blew your chance for a local customer. Public event, decent crowd size in the square.... around 5, and the slice I got even after being heated up tasted like one that had been sitting under a heat lamp since about noon. And I don't think they had a special or anything for the square event..... missed opportunity read more

Tried this place about 2 years ago and had AMAZING pizza! Loved the regular cheese and the eggplant and ricotta... but I can't even with the poor service. Put in an online order and after it was placed said it would take an hour an a half to deliver. We called and called and called with no service beeps. Canceled it with yelp and they refunded our money. Now, I understand that is not the fault of Wellington's (or maybe they should not keep their phone off the hook) and wanted to give them a second try. I called again trying to get a half specialty pizza and half regular cheese. The response from the man on the phone was a rude "OH no... I can't do that! It's half white pizza, half red sauce. The buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was delicious. It was a creamy cheese with bleu cheese and buffalo chicken on top . I highly recommend trying it if you haven't yet. the garlic knots were good. I am very surprised by all the high marks here but I ordered a pizza and got a soggy mess with canned ingredients for toppings. The staff was nice enough but the pizza is terrible here. I've watched this location change from pizza joint to pizza joint but I think the new ownership is a keeper. I've only gone twice but both times the food was yummy and plentiful. The mozzarella and prosciutto was surprising and tasty. Their eggplant is thin and crispy EXACTLY the way I like it. I even got to sample it before buying some. Who does that?? I can't wait to try more items on their menu. Only down side is parking in the square is ridiculous at times. Thankfully I can walk there from my house. :) read more

I just got the bruschetta pizza. Freakin delicious. The flavor was awesome. Delivery guy was efficient (let's face it, when I get delivery pizza at a hotel on a Tuesday, I just want the pizza, not the chatter) and pretty quick too. I ordered online through yelp and the pizza came in 30 mins or so. No delivery fee. $10 minimum. Can't beat that. read more

I always like to check out the new pizza places on foodler, and while most are a bust this place was outstanding. Quick delivery, friendly, and the pizza was really good. The garlic knots were sitting in a soup of sauce with chunks of garlic all over; I could not eat these as it was so overpowering, but I'm sure that's personal preference. The customer service is extremely rude. The delivery drivers are incompetent. We ordered here last night, two burger plates and mozzarella sticks. We placed our order at 8:50pm and didn't get our food until 11:25!!! Over 2 and a half hours. Their Mac and cheese is heavenly. I'm pretty sure there is truffle oil in it. Creamy and then a little bit of crisp on top. Holy Moses.

We have been ordering Wellington's 2-3 times a month given the freshness and consistency of the pizzas and to support local businesses. Last night we ordered 2 large for pick-up that were not ready when told. While the onion, jalapeño, and broccoli toppings tasted fresh there was a shit ton of cheese on the pizzas. Literally. I went here for lunch for a Food For All pickup, and they only have a wrap and 2 pizza slices as a choice through the app, but sold out of the wrap that day. So I got a cheese and a buffalo chicken slice, and the pizza was quite good. However, I think it wasn't much of a value buy - with the FFA discount, the slices would've retailed for around $8, which is too much even for big slices. Service was good and quick. read more
