I complain to the manager on the regular basis because I will not move my prescriptions from the pharmacy, I've been going there for a long time they know my kids very complicated medical histories and I trust them, but for the most part I have to go elsewhere to buy my sundries because I can rarely get toothpaste, make up wipes, or even Q-tips there ... it's very sad and frustrating because they could have a lot of my money if they just would stock a shelf once in a while. However, I'm old and wanted to get the new COVID vaccine recently. I got an appointment, showed up, and they refused the vaccine because I'm on Medicare. I called the pharmacist after and talked to her about it, and she started that they couldn't give me the vaccine because of my Medicare supplement. I pointed out that vaccines are part of normal Medicare and do not require a supplement, so it doesn't matter what supplement I have. She suggested I go to CVS, so I went to the one in Willow Glen and had a very nice experience. Now, I'm not even sure it's legal for them to refuse a vaccine for someone on "regular" Medicare (not "Medicare advantage," which I might understand), or if they have gotten into some anti-vax "MAHA" kick. But I want to warn my fellow older neighbors that this Walgreens seems to not be friendly to Medicare patients any more. Really a shame and very disappointing, but, outside of warning you, I don't know what can be done about this except take the little side trip to CVS.

The staff at Wellness Pharmacy were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and valued as a customer. They were attentive and took the time to answer my questions and provide information about my medications. The pharmacy had a good selection of prescription and over-the-counter medications, and I was able to find what I needed without any issues. The wait times were reasonable, and the prescription was filled accurately. While it was a good experience overall, I'm giving it four stars instead of five because there is always room for improvement. For fulfilling my prescriptions, I always prefer visiting Wellness Pharmacy. The reason behind my choice is its locality, small size, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the availability of a full range of medication pricing, including that of the largest pharmaceutical providers. Moreover, I appreciate the fact that I hardly have to wait for more than a person or two ahead of me when I arrive. My son has a liver condition, we were very careful what medication he takes, and when the doctor faxed over a medication that should be taken once a day, they put on the instructions "to be taken 4 times a day" really??? This is my favorite pharmacy. They let me buy stuff for less than half the price of other places. I was prescribed Tamsulosin and the price at regular places was over 80 dollars. Here I got the same stuff (generic to be sure) for a bit over twenty. Incredible. I strongly recommend this pharmacy. read more

Well,…read moremy experience with Bascom Pharmacy has always been very positive and even more so after my mother passed away. My mom was always a loyal patient/customer of Bascom Pharmacy as she would drive 7+ miles to this pharmacy to have her prescriptions filled. After a while, the pharmacy would send the maintenance prescriptions to my mom's house, unless my mom had an appointment close by and will go pick up the new prescriptions in person. The pharmacist and her staff were always professional, courteous and compassionate. They went above and beyond to help my mom with the prior authorization when needed. They even sent her complementary cough drops knowing it is one of the regular items she had purchased previously. What made this pharmacy stood out from all the other pharmacies was the pharmacist Tina's attendance at my Mom's funeral. What a pleasant heartwarming surprise! She must have seen the obituary from the newspaper. I write this review as a sincere appreciation of all the help my mom had received from this Bascom Pharmacy. Tina, the pharmacist is truly special and compassionate.
