Went to WellNow for swelling and pain in my eye. I was seen within 15 minutes and was greeted kindly and professionally by Jennifer. The NP, Taylor was fantastic as well and had me diagnosed and on the way back to being 100% healthy. I have been doing the asbestos physical exam for my job for 3 years in Wellnow this clinic on Erick Boulevard and in my opinion the prices are more expensive every year, the figure they have when you pay online is not true, you have to be prepared to pay a few dollars more, I paid online $165 and at the clinic they asked me for about $75 more. In the year 2022 I paid $105 exam total. In 2023, my colleagues and I had to do and pay for lung plates, when these exams must be done every 5 years and mandatory by the work company, not by the Clinic. Now its current price in my City of Syracuse is $241 and 1 hour and a half away in the City of Rochester the price is $80 for the same asbestos physical exam Regardless, they require that you make other types of tests mandatory, such as lung plaques, otherwise they will not give you the medical certificate of the examination with final resultand since they are private, they have the right to do what they want. The care provided by the professional nursing staff was excellent, but the welcome and attention at the reception was terrible, the worst of the mistreatment. This was probably one of the worst urgent cares i've ever been to, if not the worst. I am extremely sick and i felt like I was not listened to at all. I came in with a sore throat, runny nose, body aches and congestion. I felt like I was being interrogated and wasn't treated like a patient. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I was asked if my sore throat "hurt", too. When I didn't understand what was being asked i felt like they were getting irritated with me. A sore throat is a sore throat! Of course it hurts! But they kept asking "yes it's sore, but does it hurt?" I thought it would be a quick easy trip to be treated but instead I went in feeling horrible and left feeling worse. I really hope they don't treat all of their sick patients this way. If they do, they need a new job. read more

Went in for my face being half swollen and in pain. Receptionist was great, got in quickly. Nurse was even wonderful. HOWEVER, the PA that works there Kyle Kowalewski, turned a good experience bad. He told me he was going to give me antibiotics, I then asked what he was giving me because due to a lot of childhood illnesses certain antibiotics do not work on me at all. Yes, it says this in my medical records. He then proceeded to argue with me and not believe me for the next few minutes. It was completely ridiculous. They are antibiotics, what the hell am I gaining from getting different ones than he originally wanted to prescribe??!! Extremely unprofessional, I'm already in pain and now I need to argue with you? I have never had a bad treatment at any Wellnow. I was seen at this Thompson Road location yesterday morning. I was having all the typical symptoms of the flu and wanted to be checked for it for work purposes. I met Troy a nurse who was very congenial and nice to talk to/meet. We talked about our professions and had a few laughs together. He gave me a Covid test just in case even though I was there for the flu. Next came in my wonderful P.A. Caitlin Miller! She had the dreadful task of telling me that I am positive for Covid a second time. Anyways, she printed me out Covid safety and precaution measures and a work note taking me out of work until the 16th. I felt very well taken care of the entire time. Thier billing department never submitted to my insurance and then billed me the full amount 6 months later. I have called 5+ times, been on hold over oven an hour each time, and never spoke to anyone. I have emailed, one response of 5 sent emails. No secure portal to provide additional insurance details which they have but apparently need again. Then, after months of one-way calls and emails w/ little email back, they send it to collections?!? I don't owe this bill. I've talked to my insurance carrier who confirms no claim was submitted. As an insured patient with participating insurance, they cannot legally bill me the full amount without submitting to my insurance. Now they are ruining my credit for a balance which isn't even mine to owe. Never, ever in my life will I go back to this place. As a disclaimer, the medical service and providers were great, the billing and administrative aspects of this company are the problem. read more

My father went here August 21st 2020 for a DOT recertification. He was there for three hours and was taken in after filling out paperwork and waited in the room for over half an hour before someone came in. He Gave them recent reports from multiple doctors and they wouldn't accept those said reports. They wanted a compliance report showing he used his sleep apnea machine. So he had to call several places to prove he was using the machine in which he already them that paperwork. OVERALL THIS IS A HORRIBLE LOCATION, YOU HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING FOR YOURSELF HERE. I went in for an ear ache and described my discomfort to the NP that was on staff. The NP stated it was swimmers ear and that they would prescribe drops to attempt to clear it up and if that didn't work they would provide me something different. The ear drops are a complete struggle to add to my ear and I have gone through way more then I should have trying to get them into my ear. A few days ago I received a text asking how I was feeling and if I was not feeling better to respond and have someone call me. Well that never happened so I called today to get we are busy. When I was placed on hold I was told I need to be evaluated again and they couldn't just issue and antibiotic again since the drops didn't work for me. In my opinion this is just clearly a money grab since the NP had doubts a few days ago and stated if it doesn't clear it up. read more

Before a well-now rep answers this review I AM A HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL. 2 weeks ago I got a Covid test, and a strep test because I had a sore throat unlike any other before (which I get quit frequent). I asked how long until results and if test was PCR NOT rapid. They said "PCR but you'll get results tonight".... hmmm bacteria doesn't grow in a couple of hours but ok. Sure enough both tests were negative. Now over the past 2 weeks I was very ill , migraine, congestion, definitely Covid. Now a few co workers were also feeling ill.... they also went to this well-now and all tested negative. So we chopped it up to a cold or allergies. How this story ends? Well we all had/have covid. Your tests we're 100% wrong and that's why I'm writing this review. Because why is it that we all positive on another companies PCR. Unlike others, my experience was horrible about a month ago when I had an eyelash caught under my eyelid so far in I could not see it , but was very painful. I live at the Oaks, retirement home, nearby. At 9PM I drove there, nearest place, where the desk person suggested I go to Fayetteville,,which I did not understand until much later. I was taken in by a nurse, given a room near an exit door. NO blanket, no talk, after a half hour I went to the nurses room where I think 3 of them were chatting..... I was freezing cold & asked for a blanket which I rec'd. Later I saw the the back door near my room was open & was causing my chills; I closed it. TWo hours later, a Dr. arrived & he requesested a nurse to help him with what he had to do.....tho the light they used burned off most of my eyelashes, they did remove the broken particles which by now resulted broken down from my initial one lash. I made an appointment here for today and came 5 minutes late which is apparently the maximum minutes you can be late to an appointment. I walked in and the receptionist was extremely rude and had a very sarcastic tone when I asked her for a mask. I assumed since I texted that I was there and the place responded "you have been checked in" that they would call my name for the appointment so I waited. I waited 15 mins and nothing so I asked the rude receptionist and she said I was 20 minutes late, which isn't true because I arrived 5 minutes late but thought I was supposed to wait since she never stated what I was supposed to do and knew there was an appointment for 2:15, and there were about 5 people in line who she was helping and I couldn't speak to her because of them so when I finally did she told me it was too late even though I've been sitting there and she saw me and gave me a mask when I walked in. How was I even supposed to check in on time if 5 people were in line and she was taking 30 mins with each person? I made an appointment online last night because I was in terrible pain from back spasms and couldn't walk or sit. I arrived 30 minutes early to my appointment but I was greeted and checked in right away. The ladies at the desk were friendly and efficient, and I got into a room within 10 minutes. Alyssa quickly got my information and PA Falcone and another nurse came in after a short wait. I really appreciate that a female nurse came in while a male PA attended to me. After examining me and discussing a plan to help manage my pain and treat my back spasms, they left, and Paige came in to give me some follow up care. I was in and out in less than an hour. Everyone I met was attentive, capable, and pleasant to talk to. I have not recieved this level of care from many places. I would definitely recommend Wellnow Urgent Care.
