Both Juancarlos and Cody are amazing! I have been a loyal customer since 1991, and my past Friday visit only solidified my decision to stay. I had to wire the money to the title company before Memorial Day weekend. Unfortunately there is $100000 limit for on line wire request. I rushed to the branch office on A street without an appointment. Cody was so nice and helpful to jump up and down to find a banker for me on very busy Friday which is almost impossible. Because of Cody's effort, I had Juancarlos to help me within 20 minutes. Juancarlos was professional, efficient, friendly and attentive to my financial need. Thanks to the outstanding service provided by Cody and Juancarlos. Definitively I will make this branch office my go-to location for all my banking needs in the future. This review is for the short Asian girl at the account desk. She pretended to go to the back to ask her manager a question. I had an appointment to deal with my dad's account to close it out due to his death. She stated there was a policy to wait 30 days and refused to help me. She was wrong. And if she really asked for the managers advice then the manager doesn't know what the correct policy is either! The security guard was the only professional person there. I immediately called the southland Wells Fargo and they helped me right away and got my dad's account closed the same day. Don't believe anything this girl says at the A street location. I am not a customer but I have dealt with companies that are. I usually just come here to make deposits. The security guard is friendly but is on his phone in conversation. Sometimes, when the line is long, folks at the desks will ask if there are any people just making a deposit. It helps not waiting long for the two tellers that are typically open. I went into this branch as instructed by my financial planner to sign a document. I only hope the regular customers coming to the A Street branch are treated better than I was. The nicest staff was the security guard. I was treated in a condensing way probably due to my grubby gym clothes but it's not right to " judge a book by its cover" until you look inside. The bank once you get inside the building is great - the tellers are awesome. My key point is that I actually prefer the phone bankers better. I had lost my debit card and within 15 minutes someone answered the phone, quicker than if I waited in link at this branch to get it in (Due to COVID Protocols) Bonus takeaway here on the lost card is that once they cancelled my card that I lost, they issued me a new one, and updated the one I have on my Apple Pay so that I can have access to my money while I wait for the physical card. Normally I don't leave reviews but recently visiting this branch I felt great with my entire interaction. I walked in and was greeted by the branch manager that asked questions to help direct me and was assisted shortly after that. The branch looks clean, modern and the staff members were very helpful. I'm surprised reading past reviews complaining about a wait time. I bank at multiple Institutions and there is always a wait! No matter where you go they operate with 1-2 tellers if that! Quality of service should be at the top of everyones list and this branch lives up to that. It seems like people don't realize all of their self service options online, on the app or how much the ATM's can actually do. Hearing everyone complain in line about things that are out of the staffs control is wild. This is the future of banking and I'm here for it. Ive been coming to this location for almost 2 years. Staff is great every time I come in. I've watched these poor workers be yelled at due to long lines.... I don't understand what people don't get... a lot of companies are short staffed which means longer lines longer wait times... if u don't have time to wait in line do your transactions online and save us the headache having to hear you b*tch about "I'm a loyal customer" I've been with WF for 40+ years" or "I'm contacting corporate" blah blah blah... Im soooo sick and tired of this location and it's employees. Everytime I go in there the line is to the door with ONLY one or two tellers available for all transactions. There are people standing around in there yet no one seems to know how to manage the customer service. I stood on line for almost 30 mins before walking out. I've been here a few times with the hubby and was merely a spectator of the establishment. One day, I needed assistance getting an account that I was a minor for, changed to me as the primary. I had no idea where to go or who to talk to. The bank was extremely busy as it was Friday and the First of the month meaning that everyone and their mom was getting paid. I was passed off to a personal banker named, Anai Gonzalez. Right off the bat, she was friendly and extremely informative. I told her exactly what I needed assistance with and she answered all my questions and put any concerns I had at ease. We eventually got my account set up and even helped the hubby waive his check order fees. I've been a Wells Fargo customer for 8 years and with customer service like this, I can see why. read more

I had the worst experience over a $25 charge I didn't authorize. Keep in mind my income is high enough that a $25 charge may go unnoticed, but the simple principle that I didn't authorize this charge really upsets me. I got the notice today that they're not going to credit my account. So I call the 800 number and spoke to Angel after holding for over an HOUR, who was very rude, spoke very fast, over talked me repeatedly and then told me no supervisor was available. I will be closing my account tomorrow. And I will tell everyone I know about this. My family who are business owners raised me to be a Loyal Wells Fargo customer and that ends now. This has been "my" Wells Fargo since 2004, and not once have I ever had a bad experience or left feeling mistreated. The branch's customer service is consistently above par. I swear, the branch manager deserves some kind of recognition for the great job the team is doing. But anyway, the wife and I came here today for 2 separate matters: I needed temporary checks and she needed to speak with a personal banker. So I went to the tellers and she went to the bankers. I took care of my needs and ordered a new book of checks (I swear I pay everything by ACH these days, but cannot get the elderly to switch to electronic, haha!), which amounted to $19.99! I know this sounds expensive, but honestly I've always paid this much for checks. But anyway, after I was finished, I went and sat down with the wife and the banker (with whom I've actually been helped by before). I forget how it came up, but the banker informed she could actually waive the $19.99 fee for me and offered to fill my order! Saving money? Umm, yeah...count me in! So she took care of the wife, then me, and sent us happily on our way - leaving me with what was yet another great visit at my favorite WF branch. read more

Stay away! The branch manager (Sunil) is unwilling to take accountability when his staff mismanages your money and is completely apathetic to the customer. The best judge of character is how you respond when in error and I must warn people about the character of this branch. If you have problems, I can't say I didn't warn you. Here's my story: My business does wire transfers weekly out of an Oakland Wells Fargo branch. We decided to try our local Hayward branch. The wires always complete in 2-3 days without fail from the Oakland branch. However, because the teller at the Hayward branch did not provide the proper information on the wire transfer (I confirmed this), it's now been 5+ weeks and the Hayward branch can not tell me where my $4,000 is or when I will be refunded my money. Furthermore, they suggested I will need to pay a fee to do a trace on where my money is. Are you kidding?! Once I provided evidence that this was an error his staff made, I expected the Branch Manager would apologize, immediately refund me my $4,000 and sort out his operational deficiencies internally on his own time. Perhaps he would even give me a coffee mug or something to demonstrate an apology for this real screw up by Wells Fargo. Make a wrong a right. Instead, I'm told I need to wait up to another 6 weeks until I will see a refund and there's no promises they will even be able to provide a full refund, even though they confirmed the wire transfer was never received by the other party. So I'm expected to wait up to 12 weeks total (3 months) to get my money back that you failed to wire transfer properly? Meanwhile I owe this money to a party that is charging me late fees, I'm spending money on gas and time visiting your branch to escalate this, since no one is making this a priority. Unbelievable. Be forewarned. When things go wrong, they don't care about you as a customer. read more

I opened up our accounts the Fremont branch. Our office is headquartered in Hayward so I drop off our deposits at the Hayward branch.. The level of service here is an example of how high customer service can be taken. In regards to customer service and customer experience this location sets the bar.. I bring in my daughter on occasion and she is treated like a princess (because she is).. I am sincerely and warmly greeted every time I walk through the door...
