There are a lot of Chiropractors around, but Trockma. Is so far above the bar there is absolutely no comparison. Dr. Lapidus is life changing!!! She will help you to start and chart a new course for your whole being. I am grateful to her for many reasons. However, one day about 5 years ago, my legs turned from having calves and ankles to "canckles" I had severe edema. I could push my finger on to my skin and create quite a long lasting dimple. She ran tests and gave me a few adjustments in hormonal treatment, and strted me on thyroid. Guess what? Cankles left, my ankles came back. I went to several dr.s and clinics and she handeled this in just a few weeks. This may seem simple, but truly I had been to several dr's. No one did any of the things she did!! Please visit her clinic, you wont be dissapointed.

The receptionist BARBARA, decided to have an attitude and was not compassionate, did not listen, and hung up/slammed the phone. Within the first few seconds of the call she repeatedly mentioned concierge service, understood Barbara. But the practice is pulling as IN NETWORK, so I asked a question. You interrupted me over and over and I took 2 seconds to respond to an aggressive person, but before a full word came out she hung up, and I mean old school slammed the office phone. I called back and she again spoke over me and continued to NOT BE HELPFUL AND NOT BE COMPASSIONATE of patient in need of establishing care and hung up again. I was angry and I am pretty certain I said a bad word when she hung up again. When I called back a male answered, I explained the confusion and my experience. He said they are inundated with calls, that doesn't mean you can hang up on a potential patient, if I don't do med, I could do SPA...right? Also, maybe the word "sweetheart" was in kindness, but read the room, when your staff is hostile, using "sweetheart" could be taken incorrect from male to female. Either way, again I was at ER last night, I am new to the area, and my insurance only pulled up this doctor. *see screenshot* Good thing you hung up on me BARBARA, maybe you are deterring clients and patients from this office and DR Yelena S Lapidus should reconsider who is representing the face of her reputable office from initial contact and preventing some patients from advancing. Barbara, I hope when you are in pain and researching care, you don't come across a mirror.

Expectations should be set toward summer camp. It's a little rustic, has a new-age vibe and a sense…read morethat people are trying to make this vision work. It's not cheap because it happens to be nestled into a prime location. Of course, camping elsewhere is an option. But to get to a break-even point, you must factor in clean sheets, hot shower, three square meals, and the fraternity of right-minded people. Then there are the workshops. They aren't for everybody. You'll need to shop around. I did a hiking workshop, was paired with a nice group of people from across the country, and led by an experienced and capable team. The "safety in numbers" concept adds value. We stayed in a queen bed w/ private bath and ocean view in a building called Rolf on a cliff above the baths. With the patio door cracked you could hear the ocean crash into the rocks below and feel a cool breeze all night long. It was unforgettable and as cozy as being rocked to sleep. We did heed some of the yelp comments, here are a few: (1) brought our own pillows, what was provided were flat; (2) brought our own blanket, comfier; (3) Brought our own soap and shampoo, liquid soap was provided; (4) Brought our own towels, didn't need them; and (5) brought our own coffee pot, the coffee at the lodge was good. We understood there were nicer rooms at higher price points; but we were happy with where we were. On cleanliness, I didn't see a problem. It just so happens I was in the military, have been around, and so my tolerance levels have been irreversibly affected. The meals were ok. I registered as an omnivore and it seems this group is subordinate to the vegetarian and vegan crowd. Some of these dishes were outside my immediate preference and so I became pleasantly surprised quite a few times. Good learning opportunity. Nice touch too with the section of fresh fruits and veggies on the side. Like others, I could go on and on. Overall, I highly recommend it!

The blanket on the bed was a thin whatever felt like a Target dormitory special. *Bring your own towel or two, you won't regret it. *The food, some of the changes are good, the coconut yogurt is amazing (I'm not vegan.) The salad, miso, soft boiled eggs are gone. The bread bar isn't a party like it used to be, uninviting and cramped is how I would describe it now. The breakfast classic. eggs, potatoes, meat is now served, although it's comforting, it's not the steamed chard I came for. Since I can remember, people always rave about the food, how healthy they are eating, what their bowel movement was like. Now you can maintain your mundane eating habits if you desire. I appreciated breaking people out of their dietary boxes. There was some shitaki dishes that I really appreciated in the evenings. * At one point I was approached by a very large man wearing all black, he asked for my room key, "for my own safety" it was a security guard. I was sitting in front of the lodge talking with a friend. We had been in the lodge talking but left to avoid him because we wanted our space. Then we had to engage with him and proved we belonged there. I've been to Esalen maybe 15 times and that was a first for me. I did not like it. *im still really irked about having to weasel a face cradle for the massage tables at the baths every time I attend. The cradles mount are 10" in case you couldn't find anyone on the phone to answer that question in advance. At the front desk you SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE A DEPOSIT TO BORROW A FACE CRADLE. Hey Esalen, you have massage courses all the time, please instal a hand washing trough so we can sanitize like professionals. Esalen he's definitely priced out most of its massage students from getting a massage. Which is very ironic. I 100% just told a friend to take massage courses at Esalen the other day. You can't replace that foundation of education. Told him not to join the cult, just take the classes.

Moving through the hall, you can already feel a sense of peace settling in. I love that they offer purified water at the base of the stairs -- with the option to add mineral salt if you choose (my personal fav!). At the top of the stairs, the beautiful loft space opens up as the main room. Sunlight pours through the windows, illuminating another collection of thriving plants, each brimming with prana, or life force energy. Step into the heated room and you'll find warm, welcoming lighting, a fun disco ball overhead, and the gentle warmth of infrared heating panels. Every prop you could need is provided -- and there's enough for everyone. The teachers are all incredible in their own unique ways. Dharma offers the most comprehensive class schedule in North County SLO, with start times ranging from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., seven days a week. The owner, Jena, is a truly special soul whose calming, present energy is felt the moment you meet her. The love and intention she's poured into this space is woven into every detail. Downstairs, there's a lovely wellness lounge featuring an array of healing modalities and a space for other practitioners to host workshops -- from Reiki trainings to massage to bio-tuning and beyond. The class variety is just as rich: from sweat-inducing, kick-your-butt Inferno Pilates to deeply gentle restorative yoga; from classic Hatha to candlelit flow and stretch classes taught by instructors from all walks of life. Dharma Yoga Loft is something truly special in Paso Robles -- a town that's still relatively sleepy to the conscious community. Jena has created a space that honors those ideals while remaining inviting and welcoming to everyone, whether or not they're already tuned in to higher frequencies. I cannot say enough good things about Dharma, it's truly a gem!
