So, I've purchased 40 vehicles in my life. Yeah, trust me...I know. So, on Black Friday (or Vendredi Noir if you're French) I needed to get a new car. I wanted a manual, because unlike most Americans, I enjoy rowing through gears. I also wanted something turbocharged due to efficiency and power, plus it sounds cool. I also wanted something that was insanely inexpensive. I settled on a 2019 Ford Fiesta ST. Minus all the jokes about paying money for a Fiesta, it's a blast to drive. Thing is like a go-cart with Apple CarPlay. I walked in, met Julie (who's awesome), and told her I wanted to buy the on ST they had. She asked if I wanted to take it on a test drive, but much like my failed marriages, I just sorta wanted to buy it before driving it. I had financing, told her what it was, if they could beat it (they did!), and here's a picture of my bachelor's degree for that $500 new college grad discount. It took two painless hours to buy this car, that's after filling it up, doing finance stuff (who was also awesome by the way), and washing it. Stunningly poor service. Appointment made for recall, new key fob, backup camera not working and an oil change. Upon pickup were told gosh, no one ordered the key fob, couldn't get the backup camera to misbehave so they just rebooted the computer and charged us $210 for it. Walked us to the parts department so WE could order the new fob (but shouldn't THEY have ordered it in advance since that's why I made the appointment), encouraging us to just "stop by sometime and they'll program it". Once home, of course the backup camera is still misfiring, in addition to all our settings being off due to the reboot, and we still only have one key fob. Yes, they (hopefully) changed the oil, but it was a $328 day with unsatisfactory results. BOO on Wendell Ford. Formerly a Spokane icon of a business, now just another corporate sucking machine. I don't know how anyone with any self respect could work there. They must teach scamming the customer in their training. read more

Very poor communication and service. Daughter brought her car in after waiting 1 month and her car sat for 2 days before they even touched it. This was her only mode of transportation by the way. No phone calls as to why or when car would be done, we had to constantly call and leave messages as they dont answer the phone in service. Will never go there again. read more

I have had nothing but negative experiences with this dealership. They are the closest Ford dealership to my home so I continue to give them chances but they consistently disappoint. I went there to purchase a brand new 2023 F150 lightning and wandered around the lot for 30 minutes without anyone offering to help me. I ended up purchasing my truck from Corwin Ford that same day. I subsequently contacted their parts department to order a part that I located on the Ford parts website. For some reason I was unable to apply my rewards points on the Ford website so I called Wendle. I had to call three times before I could actually speak to a human being. When I finally connected with a person, they told me the part cost $100 more than the Ford parts website listed it for. When asked about this they told me "that's because you're buying it from us and not Ford." So the dealership and I both get the part from Ford but they are going to charge me an additional hundred dollars because they place the order!?! I turned around and called Corwin Ford and they sold the part to me for list price and shipped it to my home for free. I could share a half dozen similar stories about this dealership. Wendle has literally never failed to disappoint me. I have finally learned my lesson & will not be giving them another opportunity. My advice to the owner: get your house in order. Your employees do not understand what good customer service looks like. This dealership survives under the principle of, "there is a sucker born every day". Don't become their next sucker! read more

Avoid this dealership! I have heard them called swindle motorsin the past by other people. I now think it's accurate. They only care about you when you are buying a car, which I have done 3 times in the past and planned to do 4 more times this year alone. But, I had a warranty issue on a car I had purchased from them new, and needed service. They ended up replacing my motor and had my car for a month, two weeks past when they said all the parts had come in. I had to pay car payment and insurance for a car i didn't have. I have swapped many motors and it only takes 2 days with a decent mechanic. They refused to offer me a loaner or pay for a rental, even though this was under warranty and was in no way my fault. I had also ordered a detail, which they charged me for, even after screwing me on the service. A perfect time to show they cared about customer service....news flash, they don't! read more

I guess its partly my fault for not reading the Yelp reviews before I took my car in for (no)service at Wendle Ford. I experienced the same treatment that I read in these reviews. Once they take your car, do not expect to hear from them letting you know that it is finished, in fact don't ever expect anyone in the (no)service department to answer their phone - leaving a voice mail is a waste of your time. If you ever get through to them (I called the Sales department three times and asked to be transferred to a live person in the (no)service department - third time was the charm). When I asked Zeke (my service rep) about my car, he said it was ready. When I asked Zeke why no one called, he shifted blame to someone else. Zeke was my service rep and it is his job to monitor my car and communicate with me - apparently, no one takes responsibility for your car at Wendle Ford. Take a look at the responses that follow some of the 1 star reviews, the Wendle social media department talks a good cookie cutter game, but nothings seems to have changed. I purchased a 2014 F350 diesel from Wendle today and after going through the entire process I am surprised to see an overall 2.8 star rating. From start to finish this was unlike all other dealership experiences I have ever had. Our salesman, Igor, was quite frankly not a salesman and more like an old friend we had known for years. i never once felt pressured or harassed in any way and quite literally every single question I asked, he knew, on the spot. I will send anyone that asks me straight to my new friend Igor for a no BS, hassle free buying experience. I know buying a vehicle can be a harsh and stressful process but this time was just the opposite. In a time when businesses are capable of buying reviews, this review may sound sensational, however I am a real customer that bought a real truck and I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER! Igor made this whole deal the smoothest I've ever had but everyone else was awesome as well. Finance guy, Kevin, was great to do business with and wasn't pushy with add ons, he simply gave us our options without trying to manipulate us for the sale. On one last side note, Wendle gave me a $500 Military appreciation bonus that I added to my trade. It's always nice when businesses offer a Veteran discount as I know they are not obligated. Took my car in for an oil change because I purchased the oil change package with my car. Check engine light came on the day before. My car sat in the lot for 2+ weeks without ever being looked at. I called after the first week and was told they had a scheduling snag with their online platform. So they made too many appointments. They never called me, never updated so I called again and was told it would be at least two more weeks. I have left messages for two different managers and have never heard from any of them. I am highly disappointed because I have purchased 3 vehicles there and had better expectations. I think I will be looking to get rid of my oil change package. I would not take my car there for any service ever. Stay away! read more

I have had issues with my automatic running boards. I got a written Quote At Wendle of $2539.10 I was told the quote was high because they could not replace just the motors. And I would have to buy new complete running boards. They gave me the part #s I bought new genuine Ford parts These part #s turned out to be just the motors, on line and had Beeline Automotive install them. The total bill was $1050.00 The nearly $1500.00 overcharge is why people should avoid the dealerships. Please find an honest small shop like Beeline automotive . Just called to find out what kind of Brake fluid went in a 2000 Ford Taurus....no one ever answered the service phone. I attempted the online chat....the person on chat was clueless and said she didn't know it was not her department. She indicated she was in Public Relations or similar....so, why is she on chat???? I was advised back to original phone number that no one answers... So, very poor uneducated employees. I called Gus Johnson Ford. A woman answered, I told her what I needed and she transferred me to service, the man answered without a second thought. He answered my question. NOW, that's customer service... By far the worst service department I've ever done business with. I scheduled a check engine light appointment one month in advance. They have had my truck for two weeks. I was told multiple times someone would call me back, and with very poor communication, they finally told me I'm roughly 10 vehicles back in line. They used the excuse of a new receptionist and new management hire. Every single 1 star review about Wendle I've found online is pointed at the service department. Went to Wendle Ford to purchase factory oil and filter for my 2017 Ford focus. They charged $6.50 for the filter and wanted $40 for just 5 quarts of their blended oil. I foolishly purchased their filter but told the service guy there was no way I was paying $40 for oil. Found out later that day that Walmart carries the Ford Motorcraft Oil in 5 Quart containers for $18, and the filters for $3.29. Wendle Ford is Extremely overpriced. I wont have my car serviced there. read more

Bottom line is these guys are about sales in the repair department, how much more obvious can it be when they have the sales goals posted on the whiteboard? Took the truck in for coolant leak, and they call telling me water pump is bad, fine. Then they say well the bad news is the turbo is clogged and needs replacing. Estimate of 4500$..no joke. Well the engine has less than 50k miles on it and runs fine, nice try on the upsell.. will never be returning here, too bad since I figured the dealer was a little more honest than this. Nothing like having the truck held hostage for over a week.... my total bill was 2600$. I'll be updating this soon because they advisers down there will quote you two different numbers and will not tell you a completion date... it's simply not an ethical way to run a repair shop. read more

I had my car towed to the service center on a Sunday prior to an appointment I had scheduled on Monday. I scheduled this appointment two weeks in advance. My car was not looked at until the following Wednesday, and the issue may not have been completely resolved. (I have been told I will need to wait and see what happens). While the staff was kind over the phone, I did not appreciate the unacceptable wait times and felt as though I was taken advantage of because my car had been towed so there was no way for me to come get my car or use it while I waited for a week and half for my car to be worked on. read more

Just purchased a certified pre owned ford escape from them. I have never had a better experience buying a car. We worked with two main salesmen who were both friendly and made the process relaxing and fun. Brent took us driving and was sure to point out all of the features, we had to go to lunch and he suggested that we just use the car. He was very friendly. We came back the next day after checking out the other ford dealerships in town (terrible customer service) we worked with Tuck to purchase. Tuck worked hard to make sure we got everything we wanted and left there with a good deal. He was very personable and professional; we lived working with him. NEVER buy a car from Wendle. My experience with this dealership was a very frustrating one. We were looking at a Ford Escape and went through the process of getting approved by the bank and transferring insurance. This obviously took awhile so by the time we were done, we had contacted Kyle Starbird the salesman, and told him we were coming in the next day at 12 to buy the car. He said that it sounded great. At 11:15 when we were leaving he texted and said that the car was sold. VERY unprofessional and frustrating. We had already test drove and met with a financial advisor so all we had to do was sign the paper and he knew this. This dealership does not communicate with their customers and puts a sale over making someone happy and referring friends and family. We will never be buying a car from them and will be telling everyone else to not trust anything they say. Have had noises and issues so finally got it in to be looked at and it only has 5000 miles that we have put on it and the rotator cuffs and pads already have to be replaced among several other things of course they're not under warranty because they're aware part we said we've only put 5000 miles on it! Think twice about purchasing a vehicle from wendle Nissan. Around a month after purchasing a used certified truck with the dealership extended warranty I had an unbearable high pitch sound from the front right. I immediately pulled over and verified there was an issue as I could feel grinding in the steering. I then called their roadside assistance number and was placed hold. After 10 minutes my wife called on her phone and got through before I did. I was told that since it was after hours and the dealership was closed they would tow my truck and park it in front of the dealership and hide my keys somewhere nearby it. That was not going to happen! I then asked if they could instead tow it to my house which was around 3 miles from where I was pulled over. I was informed that would cost me $130. Apparently, this roadside assistance is only good during business hours? I refused to pay the $130 and decided I would rather drive it home since it was under "warranty". The next day I called the service department and was informed that it would be 3 weeks before I could get my truck to get looked at. I just ended up taking care of it myself. What good is a roadside assistance if it works during business hours? What good is an extended warranty if it takes 3 weeks to get into the service shop? I did call and inform the manager of the situation. He did attempt to get my truck into the shop earlier than 3 weeks. After not getting a call back I called and was told that the service dept would be calling me to schedule a service appointment. Two days go by with no call. Finally I get a call when I was out of cell service. I call back and left a message and never got a call back. So, I would give it a D for effort and F for execution. If I hadn't taken care of this myself my truck would still be sitting there. I just called the Wendle Ford service dept to make an appointment to finx things that were wrong with the truck at the time of purchase and was told they cant get me in until Jan 14, its currently Dec 17. Wish I had known all this before. I would have taken my business elsewhere. Failed returned calls so far from wendle Nissan: Manager 1 Service 4 Parts 1 Finance 3 There's no excuse for that. It's not just one person, it's from all departments. How's that for customer service? I guess since they already have my money there is no need to return my calls. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Versa from David Low at Wendle Nissan. I went in to test drive a Ford Fiesta which I drove, but David showed me the Nissan and I drove that as well since it was in the same class. It felt much better than the Fiesta although I did like that one too, but the Versa had more leg room which I needed with 2 teenagers. It also had a back up camera which is very handy. He was not pushy and they were all very nice. I would recommend working with David Low to anyone looking for a car. read more

Wendle motors in Spokane advertised a Toyota Tacoma 2011 4x4 4door truck for sale. I have been looking for a specific truck for a long time. I was willing to drive down from Tacoma WA to get it. My application was approved and I was told on July 20th they put a Sold sign on it and it was mine when I get there on July 21. They knew I was taking the day off work unpaid to come look at it. On July 21 I got a call at noon (when I was on my way) that they had just sold it. A couple days later I saw it posted for sale on July 23rd. I called about it and they told me it was for sale. As soon as I told them who I was they changed their story and said it had been sent to auction on July 20th. They are advertising trucks they don't have to get people to come to their lot. As far as I'm concerned they owe me a days worth of pay and the gas I spent driving. I spoke with Jim and Don Morris. read more

Like most dealerships, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw a 1 ton truck. Bought the car from them, took it there for it's 3rd ever oil change and to have them check out a tire that had a slow leak. oil change is advertised to come with a tire rotation which the manual says should be done EVERY oil change. Well I got the car back, they couldn't find a leak, and guess what the leaking tire was at the exact same position as it was when I took it in, so they didn't even attempt to rotate the tires. Took the car back in, thinking maybe the TPMS had gone bad and was causing the tire to lose air. well they looked at it again and quickly found a nail in the tire. Why couldn't they find it the first time? why do they charge so much and then not even provide the services advertised and required? They said it was perfectly fine to drive it and it's just a slow leak (that needs to be filled twice a day. 1) it is not safe to drive with a punctured tire, 2) they wanted $140 for the exact same tire I found for $70 at a local tire shop. There are ASCE certified shops around town that for $45 will change your oil with synthetic, rotate your tires, vacuum, clean windows, and give you 90 days of free road side assistance with towing up to 100 miles. Not to mention I can trust these shops more. People wrongly assume that the dealership has the best interest of the buyer and car in mind. I mean a brand new vehicle is the 2nd largest purchase most people will make in their life, but does that buy you any favor or well wishes from Wendle? No, it just makes you another customer for them to take advantage of. If I felt like they actually cared for me and my vehicle, I wouldn't mind paying the premium for peace of mind, instead I feel dirty like they prolly did something to my car that will send it back to the shop in a month, but it won't be their shop! read more
