I was chatting with the team member making my tacos and I asked him what he thought of the new chipotle honey chicken and if it was spicy. He said it was on the spicier side but it did cool down with toppings like cheese, corn, etc., and he shared that he liked it. Then, he asked me if I'd like to try a bite of it! He put a small portion in a tiny cup and I was able to taste the chicken before committing to it on my tacos. It was delicious and I felt like I was making a solid, informed, dinner decision. The team member who cashed me out was also super sweet. I wish I would have gotten their names. I will not hesitate to return to the Cave Creek Chipotle!

Ingredients: You indicate the ingredients you want on your pizza by going down a buffet line of toppings. The price of the pizza includes the toppings of your choice. This is a nice concept. I only wished there was a list of toppings for you to view other than the small list of toppings in small print in white lettering on the right-side of the counter on top of the glass. It is hard to read and as you walk down the line to indicate what you want, the topping list is out of sight. This is the reason I rated a four stars. This being my first time at a Mod Pizza I would have enjoyed more information. You can go to their website and view the list of ingredient options to be better prepared if this is your first time as well. After indicating what you want on your pizza, it goes into the oven and you continue walking to pay for your order where there are soft drink, juice and alcohol options as well. There is an app for your phone and you can order on-line and/or do a take out or save time if needed. The Pizzas: I included photos of the two pieces my husband and I ordered. I felt the crust was nicely done. This is a crispy type of crust (not chewy or pull apart). There had been some Yelp complaints about the crust being cracker-like, but this was not our experience. You run the risk of having ingredients not cooked through if you order too many of them, since the crust can only withstand so much weight, and also, so much time in the oven. Therefore, I feel it is best to order your favorite toppings rather than get carried away having some of everything being put on your pizza trying to get your money's worth. Had we done this, it would not have been as enjoyable of an experience. The flavor of the toppings was nice. I would say the toppings lacked some depth of flavor, I expected a little more oregano flavor, a little more peppery flavor, the pepperoni to be a little spicier, something seemed to be missing from the sauce to create a little depth of flavor or layering of flavor. Now that I know, I will ask if there is dry oregano they can add to the pizza next time - I did see a few trays of dried spices, but they were not labeled and I did not know if they were for the pizzas or for the salads. There is not salt or pepper on the tables or at the utensil station to add to the pizza for extra flavor, but you can ask for red pepper flakes at the counter. Staff: Staff were very pleasant. Overall Impression: All in all it was a pleasant experience and we both agreed we would return to this location now that we know how the system works. Next time: I will look at their toppings on the app before we go and walk in with my "list" of toppings to read off so I don't miss anything I think would add to the experience. I would probably bring a salt/pepper packet from home to add to the pizza and enjoy - unless those are on the buffet line of toppings somewhere!

This young lady I believe her name is emma was in the bathroom when I went in to use the restroom. I walked into the stall and she was doing a line of coke off the toilet seat. I was absolutely distraught and disturbed when she started yelling at me to get out of the bathroom, she threatened me and was saying very derogatory things and being flat out racist. They have an associate named Karen or Linda their, she harasses customers on a daily basis. She comes up uninvited to your table and and gets uncomfortably close to your face and assaults you with questions about surveys. She offered me and girlfriend a frosty to complete one these and then stood over my shoulder until the survey was completed to her liking... I've witnessed this kind of behavior on several occasions and seen her come and sit with people and engage in awkward conversations with other patrons. read more

I can't get over how bad this place is. This used to be my go to if hungry on the go. I get it, it's fast food but it feels like they try to mess up. Fries half full, room temp at best and no CO2 for their drinks, ever. I even felt threatened by the guy working the window.
