Came for dinner and sat outside in the patio area. They have a fabulous mister that kept us cool with the temp still in the night 90's at 6:30pm. Ordered a bunch of appetizers- wings, fish tacos, Brussel sprouts and all were mediocre at best. Best thing on the menu was brisket grilled cheese. Drinks were watered down. We were so underwhelmed. We go every time we come to Arizona. Was wonderful until this trip. Went on Sunday around 12:30 and there were only 3 tables of people. We should have thought seriously why that was. There were 5 in our party and we ordered the Brisket Quesadilla, Full Order of Wings, French Dip and Shrimp Po-Boy. Within 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant, all but one person ended up in the Bathroom. Not good as there were only 2 bathroom. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. Made for a miserable day. Liberty Station has two very nice patios, but it was a hot evening in Scottsdale, so inside was the option. Pleasant room that leans towards the western motief; in past visits the service has always been pleasant, but relatively slow. Tonight (Saturday) was smoked prime rib night (enjoy 1/2 wine bottles when ordered) and it was delicious. My wife's steak frites was perfect. Entrees with wine just north of $100. Worked for us and we will be back. read more

We really enjoyed an early dinner at Liberty Station. We arrived at 3 o'clock as Happy Hour started. It was unintentional on our part, but we're really glad we did as they have great happy hour deals. We had fantastic service as the bartender/server was very friendly, attentive, and professional. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu and had the Brisket quesadilla, Chicken wings, Firecracker shrimp, and the Brisket street tacos. The brisket was fantastic, some of the best that I have ever had. The restaurant was Comfortable with great decor. We felt very welcome and at home there. read more

I've been to Liberty Station multiples times - not sure how I haven't done a review yet. My parents were in town, so my husband and I brought them to Liberty Station for their happy hour, which is an amazing deal. I usually order something with their brisket because it is delicious but I switched it up this time around and ordered the pulled pork sandwich combo with sweet potato fries and the porter for 18 dollars. The pulled pork was also delicious - so tender and juicy and the sandwich was a good size - I couldn't finish it all. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy. My husband and dad also ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my mom ordered the green chili pork stew which she really enjoyed. While I liked the pulled pork sandwich, I think next time I would try something different or stick with the brisket quesadilla which I love. read more

Pretty good place to hang out for some brisket and a drink. The service and food is always good here. Today I got the happy hour deviled eggs and the happy hour brisket sliders. The eggs were kind of smokey flavor and were not too bad. But the brisket sliders were lacking enough meat. It was just one long sliver of brisket spread across three brioche kind of squares buns that looked like square biscuits. I tried to grab one and it was stuck to the other slider. If they cut the sliders apart that might be best. But was definitely wanting more brisket on them. I might get some brisket to go.. read more

Rough,on vacation 6 people went to eat here. This is a stop every year. But honestly not one person was happy with their meal. One was forgot to be put in or made. Seems like they tried to slap something together fast. Other meals were way over salted. Hopefully this helps a manager with suggestions. read more

The food is bland little to no flavor on most dishes. We have been here 6 times over the years and every time we come we're hoping this time will be different. We like the environment we like the service. We dislike the lack of flavor to their food. The tomatoe soup and salad had more flavor then the walleye dish and the brisket grilled cheese. We have been going to this location for YEARS. We have never been disappointed with the food or the service - ever. And Stacey is the absolute best bartender! BUT I would really love for you guys to consider offering your fabulous brunch on Saturdays as well as Sundays. We love your brunch menu, but I can't tell you how many times we have gone out for brunch on Saturday, only to remember you guys only offer it on Sunday....and we have to go somewhere else. We come here pretty often. Sometimes for Happy Hour and sometimes for dinner. Happy Hour favorites are their tots, the burger special and brisket quesadillas. When we are here for HH, we keep an eye on the bill. Sometimes the drinks are charged at full price. But I digress. Last night we stopped in for dinner. We ordered one new dish and one favorite. The favorite was the half order of pulled pork with baked beans and a salad and our new one, the smoked prime rib dip with homemade chips. The half order is plenty for two meals given the sides and is both tangy and sweet. The prime rib sandwich was excellent. The horseradish dip could have been a little more spicy but everything else was great. We love their chips too. We had dinner at the bar and the service was great. read more

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The restaurant was not busy, yet our waiter was extremely unpleasant with a bad attitude and clearly gave the impression that he did not enjoy his job or interacting with customers. To make matters worse, there were swarms of flies circling our indoor table throughout the meal. It was so bad that one might have thought there was a "cow pattie" under the table. Completely unacceptable for an indoor dining experience. The food was barely acceptable. Hamburger overcooked and French fries were not warm. We didn't dare comment! Delicious food and appetizers. We ordered an Apple Pie with gelato for dessert and took it to go. We threw the Apple pie away after one bite. The crust was shaped like a small doily. The crust was raw, and the apples appeared canned. Apples were old and cold. Suggestion: buy a Sara Lee pie, bake it, and serve it instead of what you have now. The menu was vast - something for everyone. if you aren't into bbq there are plenty of options. The ribs were better than the pork or the brisket but all were great to try in the platter. The green chili pork stew was good and it came with small flour tortillas but it may be better suited as an entree with some rice. Brussels sprouts were salty. Their version of Mac and cheese and tator tots were fine. 4 people shared all the above. Overall it seemed like the flavors fell flat for us or something was missing to make it all better. Caveat: I ordered take out. I don't leave a review like this lightly. That being said this is the worst food I have ever experienced. Greasy, cold and tasteless. I cannot emphasize enough how bad the quality of the food truly was. It literally went into the garage can. Had I been dining in I would have sent it back and left immediately. I had a waiter use violent hand gestures at me because he didn't like me playing Jerry Reopelle on my phone I called him on it and he created a scene in front of the entire restaurant and I enlightened other people to attack me. Oooof. This place does Southern. GOOD. Tried the brisket with cornbread and slaw. The slaw was great, but I added a fair amount of pepper since I like a pepper-y coleslaw. The cornbread was just okay because it was a little overdone, and dense in the center. The brisket was 10/10... moist, delicate but hearty, and the half was just the right portion size. The restaurant is well-lit, a cozy size but still busy and buzzing (call ahead to reserve if you can), but easy enough to have a conversation. Our server was phenomenal - patient and helpful and prompt. The Cocktails were such a treat! A hidden local gem in the tippy top north of Scottsdale, so do the fun loop and sight see Cave Creek and Carefree. So after touring around, we ended up at Liberty Station for hearty bbq and great happy hour selections. Comfortable, upscale-casual dining room and bar. Lots of locals' watering hole. Cool speakeasy bar next door for cocktails. Our server Alex was ON! Friendly,, made good recommendations, and attentive the whole time checking in and keeping our refilling drinks. We tried the brisket and the pork with a variety of sides. Both meats were tender and flavorful. All of the sides were delicious- especially their house-made tots. The slaw could have had more flavor and the cornbread was tasty, but we wish it had been served warm. The patio is a pretty place for lunch, shady and away from parking lot noise. Stumbled on this place after a hike nearby. Since it was Thanksgiving morning, they were serving up a la cart and prix fixe Thanksgiving menu items. $33 for an entree or $55 for 3 courses. We weren't starving so we opted for the standalone entrees. BF got the Turkey dinner complete with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll, and cranberry sauce. I ended up getting the Seabass with mashed potatoes and green beans. In addition, he got their seasonal old fashion and I got their seasonal French 75. Food wasn't bad, drinks were good, and the service was wonderful. Lots of good people watching from the outside patio and almost felt like a car show with all the bougie cars driving past and onto the bridge towards the hot chocolate walk. read more

If you're lucky enough to visit when Abby is behind the bar, you're in for the best service in town. We came here once and loved it so much that now we come every single week, and have for over a year now! The brisket is wonderful, and my husband's favorite is the Brisket Salad. My personal favorite is the Blackened Chicken Sandwich. The fish and chips are also very good. The salads are all great if you're looking for something lighter. I love their patio during nice weather (can't wait for it to cool off) and the misters make it such a comfortable place to hang out when it's aaaalllmost cool enough. While we come for a date night, it's also family friendly and our kids enjoy the food too. They also have a summer perk of extended happy hour food and drinks until 7 pm - so make sure you get that menu for some great deals. read more

There were problems from the beginning starting with our waiter. He was clearly "impatient"with our table of 4 taking our orders. My fish & chips arrived tasting "not fresh", however with his attitude, I was hesitant to mention. There were an unusual amount of flies, circling our sticky table. This 1/2 Texas brisket comes with two sides and the first side is supposed to be an iceberg salad and I've never seen lettuce look so old look at the coloring on this lettuce. It's not green. It's pretty much yellow! And the macaroni and cheese that was advertised. I don't understand why it's green with pesto sauce and it's flavorless this is not what I expected in macaroni and cheese. I'm very disappointed, but the brisket is fabulous as always. I also love how they express their gratitude on the paper bags with a superpower marker and personalized message. That's so cute and then to open up my dinner to this took me from a high to an extreme low about something I was really looking forward to. 33% of my meal for $29 was done right and this is unfortunate. I was really hoping to love it. I'm very upset by my dinner this evening. based on this meal, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and they need to look into who was working on Tuesday night at 6:30 PM who packed this iceberg wedge and let it out the door in this condition and they should photograph their macaroni and cheese if it's gonna be anything different than the traditional macaroni and cheese I would've never ordered it if I realized it was just green watery pesto sauce. read more
