I always heard that this Wendy's is a popular destination in Ohio City. I stopped in for evening night eats while in the area (around 9 PM). Most non-sit down places are closed in the area on Saturdays, so this was one of the few choices. I didn't enjoy my experience. Drive-thru experience: I went through the drive thru. My order was confirmed several times, the employees could not understand me. The wait wasn't long, only few customers were ahead of me. Not a bad experience. Food: I ordered two single Baconators. They were $7.39 each. The burgers weren't good. They were cold. The cheese wasn't melted. In other words, a warm patty was added onto cold ingredients. There was almost no ketchup in them. Simply not enjoyable. Based on the quality and appearance of the burgers, I won't visit again. The meal wasn't worth the price and wasn't up to par with Wendy's usual presentation. read more

Just got off work around 11:30pm and wanted to stop for something quick to eat before I got home. I waited there for 20 minutes and nobody ever took my order and I was the only car there. The lights are on and the workers are hanging out on the patio not taking anyone's order. I just left. It says it is open till 1am and I was there long before that. Terrible. read more

I went to this Wendy's on 12/23/22 during an absolute blizzard. The staff was so kind and got our order correct even with all the modifications. It was -5 out they still had great customer service. The woman working the drive through deserves a raise, it seemed like she was a one woman show! I would absolutely recommend! read more

This particular Wendy's on Lorain Ave needs to have better customer service and place needs to be cleaner. Went there recently and the fries were greasy and when told can they give me another fries. This place has gone so downhill I will drive out of my way to the one near Clifton bc this one is sooo bad. They just can't get an order right. It's next to impossible. And just so you can tell I'm not some jerk that's mean to FF workers I kept my previous review below. Also when you get your receipt you can do a survey and the manager will email you. He promised to give me coupons bc of the three times in a row I had wrong items, items paid for but missing and the rudest service, and guess what. HE NEVER SENT THEM. Not to me or my neighbor that has experienced the same service. Now when I go I DONT EVEN GET A RECEIPT. Guess he doesn't want to hear about what a bad manager he is. Service is terrible. The wait takes forever if you order around 9-10pm. This has happen multiple occasion where I would have to sit and wait for someone to respond to me to get my order at the drive-thru. In addition, it takes them forever to make the food. Expect a 15-20 minute wait if you do go here. read more

This is the slowest drive-thru I've ever gone through. It takes 40 minutes to reach the drive-thru if you're 5th in line. And the workers don't give a damn and have no concept of customer service. They ought to all be fired, and Wendy's needs to find a more competent franchisee for this location as well. read more

We just sat in line at the drive-thru for 40 minutes. When we finally got up to the ordering screen we were never greeted or acknowledged in any way. After sitting for 15 minutes, with people in the cars behind us screaming, one of the people in the car in front of us got out and told us that we probably weren't going to get anything because the employee didn't want to take their order and she was up at the window flirting with a couple of guys in a convertible, "passing blunts back and forth". Hands down worst Wendy's I have ever been too. Was there at 9pm and waited over 20 mins in the drive thru solely because no one was answering to order and I was blocked in. After waiting another 15 I finally got to the window wasn't greeted. The woman then took my money where I continued to wait for my food. After another 5 minutes it was shoved to me out the window without my drink. I went inside to retrieve my drink and then was forced to wait another 5 mins while the two woman bickered back and forth about who was going to pour my medium soda. When arriving at home all of the food was ice cold and I only live 4 mins away. The fries were not even halfway filled and I was missing chicken nuggets. Will never be going to this location again. This is the worst Wendy's I have ever been to. 2 people walked out the service was so poor. After one person walked out they proceeded to make his food. Everyone in line watched them make this food that no one ordered. The staff had no urgency. One customer was frustrated they didn't have a specific salad. One customer exclaimed an expletive when leaving. There was no ketchup. The employees were yelling at each other. Laughable. My order was correct but was put in a to go bag. The last two times I've gone roughly 60-45 min until close and the drive thru worker goes "sorry but our systems are down and can't take any orders." The first time I was skeptical but said okay and left. On the drive over the second time I was even telling my friend about my last experience and how it'll probably happen again considering I'd only been to this Wendy's 4 times and had some sort of issue every time I've visited. Sure enough the "systems were down" and when I replied with "you guys said that last time when it was late, can't you manually take the order at least?" I was met with a rude response. Usually I prefer Wendy's to other fast food places. This Wendy's is one of the mismanaged ones- it is worth avoiding. The last two times I was here, there was no soap in the dispenser of the men's bathroom. That's not a coincidence. At decent food places you don't see that once, let alone two times In a row. It's a tough neighborhood context given the number of homeless and mentally ill, but if you're going to have open bathrooms you need to manage them to maintain basic standards. The staff here lacks proper training in working the register and speaking with customers also. Disappointing that after a completely new building they are skimping on food safety and cleanliness and training and customer service and management. read more
