My son is a huge minions fan and of course we have been visiting Wendy's every other day. We've purchased around 30 kids meals in 2 weeks. All for the sake of getting the complete collection of the kid's meal toys and regular meal toys. We have never tried Wendy's before and now we're driving to all Wendy's locations around our area. The food is actually good. Flavor is better than a McDonald's and it tastes a lot more fresh. They have a really good value kids meal that also offers healthy substitutes. 2 locations stood out. Worst location was yesterday in chino hills, in front of the Sam's Club. Clean, food was good... but service was horrible. Manager was annoyed and bothered that we were asking if it would be possible to trade an unopened toy. We bought 9 meals and we got 6 of the same toy, we just wanted to try our luck to see if we could trade 1 unopened toy. What seemed to be the manager, was rude and even tossed a bag of 2 toys on the counter. If you are in service, specially kids food service, don't be the example of how not to act as a manager. Now this location in Corona today was amazing. Everyone was welcoming smiling and not too busy to interact with the kids. Location was clean, food was good and service was exceptional!!! It was our 8th kids meal for the day and we were just trying to get 1 illusive toy. Robert came to the rescue!! He may be the manager and if he's not. He should be. What an engaging personality. He was welcoming and very nice in answering all the kids questions. He didn't miss a beat! Not sure how but robert was able to make sure my son got the last minion he was looking for. I live in Perris and was taking my dog to the vet and decided to stop at Wendy's because I was hungry. I ordered 1 thing, a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Drove through and when leaving, I decided to check it and sure enough no cheese and it was just warm. So, I parked and went in and told them there was no cheese and I wanted cheese and please heat it up so it's hot. The gal told me there is cheese on it and I told her "No there isn't". So, they put Swiss cheese on it and give it back to me without heating it up or melting the cheese and it was disgusting. I went to give it to my dog and she wouldn't eat it either. Hmmm something is off here lol I ordered a Triple Berry Frosty. And it just tasted so weird. It didn't have a berry flavor at all. It was just a bland no flavor soft serve, that tasted super chalky. I took a spoon full and regretted it. Then passed it to my fiancé and he did the same thing. We were both confused on why it tasted like powder lol The French Fries were good. Cooked well and had just enough salt on them. I ordered an iced tea and water too. These summer days have been so hot that you need something to quench your thirst. The water and iced tea did just that! Also, I think the salt from the French Fries also helped me feel better with the heat. Watched a young man come in and ask for a water cup for his puppy outside (as it is hot as heck today) only for an employee named Noemi to chew him out and say she is going to charge him next time because this is his second time asking for a water cup. Came here on Christmas Eve, waited in line for 20+ minutes. Pulled up to order at 6:58pm. Lady tells me they are no longer serving food and that they close down at 7:00pm. Notified her we still have 2 minutes - she stated they are closed and turned off all the lights on me. There was only 2 more cars to serve which was myself and a lady behind me.. This is the only Wendy's I've been to where the drive thru service isn't super fast and quick. I don't recall ever having issues with the food here. Recently I got a bacon and jalapeño cheeseburger and it was very good and flavorful. I really liked the crispy onion petals in the burger. On another visit I overheard the drive thru employee talking negatively about the customer in front of me who had stopped to check their food. I guess they get dinged for how much time a customer spends in the drive thru? I think in general, if people's fast food orders weren't screwed up so often, they wouldn't feel the need to stop and check their order for accuracy.. just my two cents. So yea, I would have to give only 3 stars due to the wait time and the rude employees. (It was only one visit where I observed that). Well we got what we ordered, it seems like there was a ton of attitude from the people that worked here, And unfortunately food is just terrible. We're already not big fast food fans. I live close by but have actually never been to this Wendy's. Came by and got their junior bacon cheeseburger for national cheeseburger Day. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The burger itself was extremely fresh. The lettuce and bacon were very crunchy and the bun was nice and soft.
