This is my favorite fast food restaurant in town. We go on Sundays a lot and the food is always hot and good. The thing that really sets this restaurant apart from the others in town is the service. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and always so, so nice. We went today, Easter Sunday and they young man working the register could it have been sweeter. We went there Sunday and ordered two double cheeseburgers,, they were raw in the middle and we threw them out,, check your burgers before you bite into them,, they were out of drinks at the machine, had no mayonnaise , no ketchup at the service bar, their service is getting worse all the time,, the manager has the biggest mouth I have ever seen, she yells at the workers all the time, loudly like she thinks it makes her sound good, but it doesnt, I feel sorry for those working under her, and we dont want to hear it ... read more

Yo Chick-fil-A in Elizabeth City...you need to find some awesome employees like this Wendy's Elizabeth City location! The staff at this Wendy's is top notch, I can only speak of this location at this exact time of day (crazy busy lunch rush). The young gal at the register remembered every single person's name and made sure she pronounced it correctly for their order. The staff got every order out quickly and it was impressive considering they also have the drive through to deal with. I'd like to start off by saying that I ordered from Wendy's tonight 03.02.24. After ordering, I called the store & spoke with a very nice young lady. I explained to her that the last few times I'd ordered from there my food was cold & done wrong as they added extra pickles to my sandwich & I Requested No Pickles because I'm allergic to pickles. However tonight Wendy's went above & beyond the duty of their positions. When my Doordash Driver arrived, I'd already asked him to check my food because when I contacted Wendy's a second time they said my food had been ready & was waiting on someone to pick it up. He apologized on Doordash's behalf because he said he just received a message saying there was an order waiting at Wendy's that had already been waiting for over 20 minutes so, of course the food is going to be cold. He did ask the lady to open the bag to see if my food was hot & of course it wasn't because of how long it has been sitting. I explained to him I couldn't eat cold food nor could I eat salt so the fries were to have No Salt. Upon checking the food the lady discovered the food was cold and took it upon herself to remake my order so that it was hot and fresh when I received it. I can't begin to express how much is that truly meant to me. I've been sick for a few months now & I'm Disabled, can't drive anymore, & I'm very weak. I'm not able to go in the kitchen & cook. This is the only food place I've ordered from Door Dash that has taken the time to do that. The Angels working there tonight have no idea how much what they did meant to me, instead of sending my food out the door cold that would end up going in the trash. Even though I could only eat a few bites due to my sickness, that's irrelevant. The point is they went above & beyond to make sure my food was hot & correct the way I ordered it. I just called the store, spoke with the Manager there tonight & let her know I was not calling to complain. I was calling to bless all of them for going above & beyond & that they were the only restaurant that has done that & she had no idea how much it meant to me. I wanted her to thank her staff to let them know how much what they did meant to me & how much I appreciated it. I live about 15 minutes from Wendy's and I see they don't have the greatest reviews. But every time I have been which I've lived in Elizabeth city for a little over a year now I've been a handful of times I've never had anything to really complain about. The drive through workers can be rude or harsh but people are people and we all can't be in great moods all the time am I right? I do not normally write reviews unless I feel that the service or product I have received is either exceptionally wonderful or dismally horrible. Unfortunately, in this case, the latter is true. My husband gets off work at 10 pm and on this particular evening, we were both hungry so I put in a mobile order to this particular Wendy's, via their website, for a few items. It was late, as my husband arrived at around 10:45 in the evening. We had ordered a few sandwiches, some fries, chili, and frosties. Upon arriving my husband was informed that their frosty machine had not chilled the frosties, and therefore they were not available. No substitution was offered other than the vanilla frosty, which my husband hates. He was disappointed, and mentioned to the teller that this was "bullsh*t." It was not directed at the teller, merely as an expression of his disappointment. At this point, we asked about a refund for the drinks. We were told that they could not do that and we must call "DoorDash" to get our refund. When we told him that we hadn't ordered through DoorDash, we were met with more excuses. My husband at this point was getting upset. Still, no substitute drinks were offered, not a Coke or a lemonade or anything. My husband had had enough and got upset with the young man at the window, who obviously did not care about service. He was met with a slammed window in his face. He went to park, to wait for our food, which 20 minutes later was quite literally thrown through our window and into his lap. The boy who brought it said nothing and chucked the bag of food through our window. We live about 20 minutes away from this Wendy's so when he got home and we were looking through our bag of food, several things stood out. One, we had ordered jr. Cheeseburger Deluxes (lettuce, tomato, etc.) but had ordered them sans the beef patty, as my husband is a vegetarian. He likes to add his own meatless patty to the burgers. Both Jr. Cheeseburgers were NOT deluxe, and they both had meat patties on them. The directions given were even on the receipt. There was no excuse for this except contempt by the employees. Next, upon eating my bacon cheeseburger and my chili, I found hairs in both foods. Hairs that were not mine. Black hairs. I find it hard to believe that this was a coincidence. Thirdly, my chicken sandwich was partially raw on the inside, which made me afraid to eat it. Finally, they provided us with no french fries, despite them being on the receipt and part of the order. So needless to say, we did not eat our dinner. We have called corporate and complained. We are expecting to hear back from the district manager. But I find this kind of attitude from employees in this kind of service disgusting. We rely on you to provide us with edible food. We pay for it. We pay a lot for it. And whether or not you liked my husband's comments should not be a deciding factor as to whether or not you put hair in our food or "leave out" certain items. A little kindness goes a long way. We will NOT be revisiting this restaurant, and I highly recommend that no one else does either. Not until they hire individuals who take their jobs seriously. read more

First time eating here in over a year. Food not bad, surprisingly. Fries actually had salt on them, though they weren't especially fresh. When I asked for ketchup, the server reluctantly handed me two packets. I asked if I could have more than that. She gave me two more, but it definitely seemed like it pained her to do so. Why was she being so stingy with the ketchup? I paid $10 for a salad and large fries. Surely that garners four ketchup packets. Will be contacting corporate about our service. We were ordering from drive thru and we were not ready to order. We asked for few minutes as no one was behind us. The cashier was very rude in her tone and asked multiple times if we were ready to order in a short span. Thank goodness there is another wendys in elizabeth city. We went to the other wendys and were given the amount of time needed to look over the menu. They were very pleasant. Won't be back,to,this location at all. It's somewhere between 5 and 6 pm on a weekday, a normal time for a lot of people to be getting off from work and swinging by Wendy's for a quick supper to take home. Baked potatoes are on the menu, but too many times I have been told, "I'm sorry but we're out of baked potatoes right now" It's supper time, you're supposed to be ready at that hour to offer everything on the menu. Unacceptable. And the burgers are just OK. The Homestyle Chicken is one of the better items they offer. I have to be desperate to go back here. My family was at the Wendy's in Elizabeth City, NC. We have been going there a about ten years. One employee gets dressed in the parking lot. We go in. No one to man the registrar to take an order. After about 8-10 minutes we left. Note the lady in charge was trying to get people to work. No luck. Yet said employees are outside smoking and laughing. Place stuck.
