During halftime on New Years Eve, my friend wanted to try the Baconator that they continued to advertise while watching the 49er game. This Wendys is newer and located off of Sutton Way and Brunswick in Grass Valley. They have dine in and a drive thru. I went through the drive thru and got the Baconator...comes with 2 patties and 2 slices of bacon on a pretzel bun. I ordered the baked potato with sour cteam for myself. I took a bite out of the baconator and it was delicious! Juicy and bigger than i thought it would be. They didn't give me a receipt, but i think it was about $7.49 ( cheaper than advertised on the site). Way better than the golden arches.. and more filling! They always make a great baked potato. Side of sour cream included. The drive thru was quick and the employee was friendly! I would definitely share this burger...probably quite fattening! read more

The service is HORRIBLE at this Wendy's. They have a locked bathroom and i came in to order food and use the restroom after a 5 hour road trip and the workers completely ignored me despite me attempting to get their attention. You cant put a lock on a bathroom, put up a sign that says see staff for key, and then ignore people that need the key. Piss on this location. negative stars read more

This place is so inconsistent. Sometimes it's great other times it's a really really bad. I also agree with the other reviewers that the language barrier causes problems. I love Wendy's fries when they're done properly but as with everything else at this Wendy's it's hit or miss. I got my food today and the fries were cold and old and like cardboard. The iced tea that I ordered now comes out of the same machine as the Coke and the Sprite and all the sodas. So the other night I got an iced tea that was very pale and tasted very strong of sugar. Luckily I was still in the Drive-Thru and I could hand it back to him and tell him it's sweet tea not unsweetened. Today my tea again came out very pale and it tastes nothing like tea and it has a hint of sweet. I really couldn't say what it is. I get hungry for Wendy's food but it's a constant disappointment at this particular Wendy's and as others have mentioned they are often out of things. They went months after an issue with lettuce saying that they had no lettuce for burgers when the lettuce crisis was long over. I sent a message to the corporate office and lo and behold the next week there was lettuce. read more

The service was absolutely terrible and I found a long black hair in cold soggy food that has been clearly been sitting for god knows how long. There was one specific women that was taking my order and clearly was having a bad day and putting it out on everybody else. When she was taking my order it was so hard to communicate with her as a women that only speaks English and It didnt seem like anybody at this establishment knew English but in the end I ordered and it took 20 minutes to get it which is expectable. This Wendy's appears to be a really nice restaurant in Grass Valley but I was eating inside with my husband and a rat came running out from the back of the counter from the back and 2 weeks before that we had gone to the drive-thru and a friend of mine had a fake fingernail inside of her Burger I don't suggest going to this place if I were you I've also seen him actually denying water to citizens in the summertime that were homeless so I wouldn't suggest eating at this restaurant if you're in Grass Valley there's plenty of other places that you can eat at that is much cleaner and nicer of an establishment read more

My son loves Wendy's as a treat for a good week because it's his favorite fast food place. However, the last couple months I've noticed a pretty steep decline in service. A few weeks ago they were out of fries. I wasn't upset about that, but I did let them know I would rather gave a refund as I was on my way to pick up my don and didn't really have time to go park and wait. They denied the refund becsuse no one there knew how to do one, which I found shocking. Luckily, the fries were ready sooner than expected. But the staff really need to be trained on how to professionally handle a situation, and there should always be someone there who can do refunds or credits. Multiple times I've gone to order menu items and they say, "uh... we don't have that", and I have to say, "really? It's I'm your menu..." to which I'll get, "oh! It is??" So, the employees may be present physically, but mentally seem to be elswhere. Pieces of our orders are always missing, which, for the price, really needs to be corrected. Today, I was given my total at the speaker, then pulled up to find it doubled because they said the wrong amount (I had the money, but it didn't make me feel confident in the rest of the transaction). He handed me our order,,which I checked and they had forgotten the toy in the kids meal and our lemonade. Got that at the window. Got home, and realized they also forgot the drink to the kids meal and the ranch, and I'd missed it between reminding the guy about the other things that were missed, while also attending to my son. I don't expect stellar service at a fast food place, but I would expect to receive all of an order more often than not. read more

I just went there to get lunch with my sister and mom, the guy who took my order could barely understand english and got my order wrong. The staff need to learn how to read the fine print. I went to get a small frosty because they're only a dollar right now. Nowhere on any of the signs does it say I have to purchase another item in order to get the 1 dollar frosty. The cashier argued with me about it. I'm only writing this after several bad experiences. I like Wendy's and was happy when it came to grass valley. The trouble seems to be ordering from the app, they never seem to be able to make the modifications correctly (until this last time!). First time I had trouble it was no problem - I went in 2 seconds with the manager and problem fixed. Second time not so easy but after a moment with the girl at the register we got it fixed. 3 rd time was ridiculous! I had the receipt for my mobile order on my phone and had to argue with the first window and the second window and then with the manager and finally I got out of my car and went inside after being told I didn't have an order only to see it on the counter getting cold. And finally this last time, a very simple order: Dave's triple combo(L) no salt on the frys. I am posting what I got...half empty fry with salt and not one piece of cheese. We came into eat and it was slow. The cashier was rude, threw our mustard at us and or tray and our french fries spilled on his hand and counter and he picked them up with his bare hands and set them on the tray. Very clean facilty. Very busy but its brand new. Few hiccups. Couldn't place order from app, their putting out a lot of wrong orders. But they fix their mistakes fast and its just nice to be able to get a Frosty once or twice a month. I'm sure they'll work out bugs. read more

The new Wendy's is a stunningly beautiful piece of fast food architecture as well as cleanliness. Love the outside seating, and efficient drive thru. Both visits I've ordered the "Dave's Double" combo meal and the burger did not disappoint on either visit. You can tell that Wendy's uses truly fresh, not frozen beef and it shows in the flavor....a cut above other fast food burgers. The French fries were served hot and fresh. The Chocolate Frosty is a super treat to have in this formerly "Wendy'sless" land of the Sierra Foothills. However my visits did have some drawbacks. Areas needing improvement include the attentiveness of employees....they seem indifferent if inoffensive. On both visits we requested a kid's hamburger PLAIN and on both visits the burger came with toppings. Not impressive. I made a big effort on the second visit to note that we wanted that burger plain, and it still came back with toppings! The drive thru can be very busy as this is the newest fast food restaurant in the basin. Still I am pretty excited to have Wendy's up here in the mountains. Welcome to Grass Valley! read more
