    The Miranda
    Brian D.

This place was kind enough to entertain my wackiness going a bit off menu which I appreciate, most places get weird or upset this place was very cool about it. Behold-The Miranda! Pictured is a sandwich so darn good you'd think it's illegal, but everyone that consumes one has the right to remain full! Jalapeño cream cheese, guacamole, turkey, roast beef, and veggies. Something magic happens when turkey, roast beef, and cream cheese come together throw in some heat and you have the right to remain silent, but it'll be hard to! Staff is friendly place is clean, being very new to this area i appreciate the hospitality where I don't feel like I'm going into a chain or fast food place I feel like I'm talking to real people who like sandwiches just as much as me. I realize it is a chain I realize there's other sandwich shops, but I go here because i like the staff. Good job!

Tasty subs and salads. Ordered two sandwiches to split and a salad. Good toppings on the sandwiches, bread was fresh and tasty, and everything was made to order just right. Reasonable prices, good location, with plenty of parking. The shop was clean, the service was fast and friendly as well.

This is a bowl of soup I think they better reconsider This is a Cup by standards!! $8.63 plus tax
    Geralyn Q.

The bowl of soup is a measured " cup " by standard The atmosphere is causal, calming and pleasant viewing from windows I found no clean table to sit at and had to ask There was efficient staff so no excuses for not being observant to clean tables Not a crowd around 12 noon either Everyone else seemed to be enjoying their meals so over all satisfaction My request to Owner is Make a cup and bowl equal standards I would not serve you below standard so I expect same respect

It was $14 and was completely forgettable. The bowl wasn't any where near full. The miso soup was bland. We got the quinoa added and it was totally forgettable. Said it would have green pea and sunflower shoots, but we had none. There were some green onions slices floating around on the top. We ordered two dishes to share and this one didn't fit the bill as a shareable item. For the disappointment we had in the miso it was totally made up by the vegan kale cesar salad. It was a large bowl of yum! Hearty serving of well dressed kale. The Cesar dressing delicious! Slices of cucumber, avocado and chick peas and a beautiful thick slice of bread on top. It was so filling we easily shared it and filled us up. It was $15 only a dollar more than miso broth bowl. It's was so worth every penny. The service was friendly and fast. I'm submitting a review today because I always enjoy their food, service, and ambience, always delightful, special, and the experience is both home cooked and international, but also super personable (if you frequent) and very casual and fun! I simply today want to note how amazing the very certain, peaking flavors that are still tingling on my lungs, of the basil, chili chemistry, and Lao curry magjick I just experienced last Friday I cannot get off my mind, and body, today of the 4th day past! I admittedly am having an absolute sense of remorse; I am traveling to the Bay Area this upcoming weekend and will miss this Friday dinner at my FAVORITE Lao/Eastern Family Food Restaurant in the world. (I have been to Laos n Thailand, each their own, and Panoy and their family at the restaurant, deliver one of the most authentic Eastern experiences of community, food, and fun in getting to know a very slender, sliver of the magjick that lives in Gold Country California in 2026.) If you have yet to eat (and frequent, perhaps) Panoy, go directly in return or for your first time, and experience the fresh, rejuvenating invigorating palate Panoy brings to their community and extended family they share their business with. I'll be bringing my extended Bay Area friends and family there, as they visit me, home. Springing your way there w/your beloveds would be a great way to share a sense of specialty, reserve, and you'll be remembered for the great hosting in extending your family's taste, to Panoy's exquisite offerings and dishes, of the best nuance of Lao orient. Since we were in Grass Valley we headed there for lunch. The interior is woodsy and homey, with a country edge. There's a pleasant inside and a really nice outdoor patio area. We opted for indoors as it was a bit cool outside. Seated right away, we got menus, which are EXTENSTIVE, for breakfast and lunch. The omelet section alone is mind boggling. Service was quick, efficient and very friendly. These folks have it down and probably have worked there for awhile. After perusing the menu and getting iced tea, I chose the Long John burger (ordered medium rare) that seemed very tempting and Ed got the Caravan sandwich with Roast Beef. We both ordered a side of the Sweet Potato fries (included!). Expecting a tall juicy burger difficult to get my mouth into it and super messy I was pleasantly surprised to get this very long piece of bread instead. It was much easier to eat and I wasn't slobbering it all over myself. Bravo! The flavor, amount of meat, grilled onions and everything else on the burger was perfectly delicious. Ed's sandwich looked amazing and he really enjoyed it. We both agreed that the grilled onions were absolutely made to perfection and the sweet potato fries some of the best we ever had, especially not soggy or greasy. The kitchen knows what they are doing. They have a very interesting and enticing drink menu and had it been dinner I probably would have tried a couple. That doesn't really help when you've already driven 30 minutes home and now have an incomplete meal. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. Offering a refund doesn't fix the inconvenience, the time lost, or the fact that part of our dinner was missing. A better effort to make it right would have gone a long way.
