Growing up on the island, everyone used to go to the Burger King across the road. Now, everyone goes here. Is it deserved? Yeah, Burger King got slow and slower and more and more lines. Is Wendy's the best fast food you are gonna eat here on the island? No? It's Wendy's? None of the fast food restaurants here on the island deserve a 5 star. Cuz they all have the same flaw. Slow, understaffed, missing items, bad customer service, etc. After you get used to it, it's all good and becomes normal. First reaction to their mistakes is gonna be, "I CLEARLY ASKED FOR BLAH BLAH BLAH AND THEY FORGOT THE.." blah blah blah. Give it some time and its, "They forgot the sandwich? Oh well, guess it's fries tonight for my fat self" Food is ight, it's fast processed food. Speed is ok, sometimes slow sometimes fast. Interior is ight, it's dirty sometimes but just get a napkin and wipe off the crumbs. I can only wish all the fast foods on the island could get better, cuz we are a tourist island after all. read more

Did a mobile order in the app ahead of time. If you're not using their app, you're missing out on new coupons they give all the time. I have like 5 coupons to choose from every order! I get something free like every time. I thought they'd gone really light on my son's fries until I found them all spilled at the bottom of the bag, under napkins. Food was ready on time, employees wearing masks, no line around 5:30pm. One of the prettiest Wendy's I've been to. Ate in parking lot due to COVID, but happy I did because it was so nice out, and surrounding live oak trees were gorgeous. read more

Food is not ok. When you ask them to please not put cheese, they still do. Chicken sandwich did not taste good, had a weird taste . Service at night is horrible. You can be standing there waiting for them to take your order, they look at you and ignore you & don't even acknowledge you. In reality not really good customer service day or night! They have 2 kiosks. Still it's nice to actually order from the cashier. Ambiance could be better. Tables in the middle are too close, as well AC vent is leaking water . I've seen nicer Wendy's with much better customer service! Before they were better , no longer! read more

All the older females need to get fired!! They're so rude and have no sense of customer service what so ever. The food could be better if all the ladies would just do their job correct. The ambience is not comfortable or welcoming at all due to the older female staff. When you order something it takes forever and then the staff ask after you've already paid for what you ordered if you would take something else that wasn't your order just so it would be easier for them. The manager was very rude! I had three orders. I told him I wanted one with no salt. He told the employee when I got to the window to give me all with no salt. I told him I want two with salt and again he told me I'm giving you all without salt. You can put the salt on yourself. I have never been treated this way at this particular Wendy's. Did I get this rude and disrespectful treatment because I am black? The other managers they had were extremely nice. I wish there was another Wendy's in Hilton Head. read more

Worst Wendy's I have ever had the unfortunate experience of ordering from. Tried to go thru drive thru was told the couldn't take cc, but inside could take cc, so I went inside (should of just went to McDonald's) was not impressed store was not clean an not even busy yet I had to wait over 10 min for my #2 combo an they bagged my fries then sat my bag on the counter and had to wait 5 more min for my burger when I asked for the fresh fries since I saw some just come up they literally walk out of sight and gave me my food but went no where near the fresh fries. Also a pet peeve saw the drive thru person make there fries for a order eat some out of them then bag them. read more

After a long day of shopping and touring we realized that we needed a simple salad to go with our lobster tails so we choose Wendy's after all they do have decent salad choices for a fast food joint. This simple run turned into a nightmare. We started off with only 2 cars ahead of us. We were in the drive thru line for 30 minutes. The line Manager clearly needs to be retrained. If you can't get the order out simply have them pull forward and park to the side in order to keep the line moving. I asked for a ceaser salad and they charged me for a chicken ceaser salad and when I finally made it to the window my order was wrong. Everyone needs to trained in this joint. read more

Miserable, rude and unfriendly staff. When the cashier was ready to take my order she did not speak, rather stared at me until I asked if she was ready in which she rudely responded "yeah." Another employee walked around the store with her head down on the left side of the walkways not moving for customers and giving dirty looks when they moved out of her way. The lady working front register, Lilly, treated my mother like an idiot for having an accent. An accent applies to the way of speaking, but not to the ability to communicate what an individual wants - my mother has lived here for over 20 years now. The curious thing is that Lilly treated my mother like an idiot when it really seems like the idiot was Lilly, she was barely familiar with her own menu and kept confusing meals. She added sizes to things that only came as single servings. On top of all of this, Lilly was rude... Which is not the way anyone should treat a regular family. read more

The service was terrible. The lady at the register, Dana, was very rude. We had to go back up to get the cheese on our sandwich that we definitely asked for and they asked us why we didn't ask for it when we ordered in a very rude manner. This is one of the best Wendy's in our area. I come here often for lunch or for something quick to eat at night. Service is usually pretty good and the food is up quickly. However, what I think is really nice about this Wendy's is the place itself. It was recently remodeled and is all brand new inside. The seating, lines, counters and drink stations are all very nice and make for a great experience inside the restaurant. It is also generally pretty clean which is another plus. Compared to many other locations that I've been to, I'm very impressed by this Wendy's and know that I'll be coming back often. read more

It's a Wendy's. The food is just like any other Wendy's I've been to. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. It is a bit more upscale than most Wendy's because all Hiltonhead business's must maintain a certain style. But the prices are just like my Wendy's back home. Wendy's has a great breakfast lineup. Much better than Mickey Ds. Not sure why it hasn't caught on. I'm giving only 2 stars because of 2 reasons. During this pandemic, I was in Wendy's this morning and only 2 out of 6 employees had on masks and one of those only had their mouth covered. Also, the person who seemed to be in charge was one without a mask. There was also a young female who everyone new and may even work there (but wasn't working this morning) who came in without a mask and was hugging everyone and going behind the counter where food was being prepped and talking up a storm with everyone. The second reason, and I don't want this to sound mean, is that this is the second morning I've tried to order just 2 sausage biscuits and the person taking the order couldn't understand what I wanted. English isn't the first language of most of their staff and I have no problem with that but someone taking an order should be able to understand what someone is ordering. After I got my order I asked for 2 grape jellies and a knife and I might as well been speaking Klingon. It's really frustrating because their food is good. read more
