They advertise they're open until 1am, but I got here just before 10pm, and they're already closed. They lie about their hours.

I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

I am disappointed enough that I am writing a review update to remind me to never return again. We…read morereturned a few times since the initial review from 2021. Each time, something is less satisfying, such as changing the wedges of pickle fries to slices of pickle fries. We have reached the state that we will not return in the future. Location is still cool by the water. The restaurant is an outdoor eatery. For us locals, we don't stay during the wintertime. We get take-out only. Service isn't much of a thing, since we order online and pick up ourselves. The Food: Slip Burger, $12.95, Salmon burger upgrade, $2.50, Pickle Fries upgrade $4.95 - 1 Star Menu: Colby jack cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, slip sauce. Toasted & buttered pub bun, served with house seasoned fried potato chips. This order costs $20.40. I have no problem with the cost if the food is good. I was delusional and thought salmon means salmon filet, which is what Tipsy Cow serves, not chopped salmon, ala Trident/Costco salmon patty. As soon as I saw that, I knew I wasn't eating this dinner. I hate salmon patty with a passion. The pickle fries are "ok" with a passing C. I still prefer the original wedge pickle fries that are obviously house made. I am not certain about these. (I made ramen for my dinner.) Aloha Burger, $14.95, Sweet Potato Fries upgrade, $4.95 - 2.5 Stars Menu: Grilled pineapple, white bbq sauce, pepper jack cheese, romaine, red onion, fresh 1/3 lb burger patty on buttered & grilled pub bun. Served with house chips. This order costs $19.90. There isn't anything right or wrong about this meal. It was ok. For some reason, my husband was still hungry after eating his burger plus 3/4 of his sweet potato fries and 3/4 of my pickle fries. He has a healthy appetite but not this much. I will not speculate rather the burger is or is not 1/3 lb. I will simply say he ended up eating my salmon burger, too. He said he doesn't want to order from them either because he wasn't full after his $20 meal (plus some of mine).

They have both great outdoor seating and inviting indoor dining as well. I started with a nice London Fog made with Earl Gray from Smith Teamaker. It comes in one size - large. My Mom got the Eggs Benedict with fresh dill which she enjoyed even though there was a slight hiccup. The English muffin under the eggs was over toasted and was very difficult to cut with a knife. But the staff was very gracious and remade the whole thing in no time. I got the roast chicken with goat cheese sandwich and my wife got the smoked turkey sandwich. Both come on bread they bake themselves. The fresh greens on both really elevated the sandwiches. DERU also has an excellent bakery case. We ordered a slice of the Coconut cake. It was a generous slice and delicious. If you don't have time to dine can walk up and order pastries to go. Will definitely be back again!

Add a bottle of vinho verde and who could complain? The ordering process was a little confusing at first, but the second visit should be easier. Pro tip: don't stand in the long line unless you're ordering to-go. Find a table, scan the QR code, and order. Fun atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and genuinely good food. My main complaint? One bathroom. Rough. The long car line cueing outside is a good sign. Apparently 1,500 loyal customers waited last year for a Thanksgiving meal to take home. After eating here, I get it.

Shake Shack is your premium fast food chain that serves burgers (meat and plant-based), fries, and…read moreof course, milkshakes. I've visited other Shake Shacks before, but this was my first time visiting their Kirkland location. The Kirkland location is pretty big and has a good amount of indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. It's located across from QFC and the kiddie fountains, and so you can enjoy your burger while watching your kids (or dogs) play in the water in the summer. My family ordered: - VEGGIE SHACK ($9.99 for a single patty, $12.99 for a double patty) - Veggie burger packed with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots, farro, and quinoa, and topped with American cheese, crispy onions, pickles and ShackSauce. This is not your typical Impossible burger or black bean burger, although it has more the texture of the latter. The patty exterior is crispy and the interior is soft and mushy, which complements the crunchy pickles well. It's a little on the sweeter side because of the sweet potato and carrots, but overall a satisfying veggie burger. If it weren't for the fries and shake, I'd probably get a double patty as one patty wasn't satiating enough for lunch. - 'SHROOM BURGER ($9.99) - Crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. This was another unique vegetarian burger as I've never had a mushroom substituted for a patty before, much less, a fried mushroom stuffed with cheese. If you like mozzarella sticks, this is the burger for you! - CHEESEBURGER ($7.99 for a single patty, $10.99 for a double patty, $13.99 for a triple patty) - A made-to-order quarter pound per patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, and your choice of toppings on a toasted potato bun. We were a little disappointed by this burger as it doesn't come with topping by default and so it was a pretty plain burger. Apparently you have to ask for the toppings when ordering at the register (which we didn't know) or order via kiosk or online. - FRIES ($4) - enough talk about the burgers, these crinkle cut fries might have been the BEST FRIES we've ever had. They were burning hot right out of the fryer, super crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. They had just the right amount of salt and had a good body to them to, where even the longest strands didn't break. We loved these so much, that we ended up ordering an extra basket after we finished off the first. - VANILLA SHAKE ($6) - House-made vanilla frozen custard with real vanilla. I prefer my shakes on the thicker side, but this didn't quite meet the mark as it was more liquidy than I would've liked (perhaps because it's custard-based). While it supposedly contains real vanilla, there aren't any vanilla bean flecks and so it most likely just uses vanilla extract. It was cold and refreshing, but can't say I'd go out of my way for it. - COFFEE SHAKE ($6) - Dark roast coffee hand-spun with our house-made vanilla frozen custard. The coffee taste was kind of flat and tasted more like a Frappuccino. The lid also wasn't screwed on properly (or had extra liquid that got stuck underneath the lid) and so it spilled everywhere. Service was great and we got our food within 10 minutes after ordering. They bring the food to your table and you bus yourself. The outdoor tables were relatively clean. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere
