The managers at Wendy's, Juana and Marta have been so helpful to me on two separate occasions. I chair the Staff Appreciation committee for one of the local schools and the staff REALLY love a good/hearty baked potato bar. Their team at Wendy's made 60 baked potatoes early in the morning for me to pick-up and make a successful luncheon. All interactions I had with the Wendy's team were positive! The food used to be much better. The fries & burgers would be fresh and hot, but not so much now. The last few months the food has not been so fresh. A couple of days ago I went about 8:00 pm and the food was not made fresh. The quality was poor (they used to be worth driving out of my way for). The fries were barely warm and the burger was worse, like it had been sitting around for awhile. Every single sugar free soft drink was unavailable. And I question whether the staff understands much English (they are difficult to communicate with). Anyway this Wendy's has gone down hill in the last few months and I'm done with it. Nice enough store. Good enough food for value. But they're not very good or with it and their service sucks. I recently had the manager not know about breakfast specials on a Wednesday that started on a previous Sunday. And the worst thing is the kids at the window. Like 2 minutes before closing, they won't hand you an order out the window but if you dont hurry to the door they then lock you out and make you back through drive thru. They want you to come in. Juat tonight I was at the drive up window getting my dinner order fixed they had messed up. And I said, oh I just got a Doordash order for Robert while at the menu board, and they wouldn't hand it to me out the window. They gave me my own order out the window and then go park my car and walk inside and get the other one. And the kid just looked at me and smiled and said "no I won't do it." But seeing how the order takers/cashiers were so calm under pressure, made me recognize that even a minimum paying job at a fast food restaurant deserves more recognition. We wanted dinner late in Kirkland and this was the only place open. We got a Classic Chicken Sandwich, and Spicy Chicken Nuggets. The sandwich was ordinary, nothing to write about. The two women working the drive through line at 12:30 were two of the rudest woman I've seen in the restaurant business. I was picking a DoorDash order that waited for 20 mins in line and drove to for a customer, only to find out THEY messed up and gave the order to someone else. This has happened numerous times at Wendy's and they always make the order for the customer like DoorDash support says in app (that I showed them) and then I called the customer RIGHT in front of them and the customer said they had no food and No one else is on the way. I was trying to make it right for the customer and they told me to o around the line again, but they weren't gonna remake it. After I Just waited like everyone else. But they said they weren't making the food for the customer, because they messed up?! The is more of a business etiquette review, they were so dang rude and slammed the window on our faces, being a manager myself if someone treated customers like that I would of fired them immediately. I enjoy the Wendy's mobile app, however I suggest a new system for picking up the order. last Tuesday I was in a hurry to get to a meeting and used the mobile app and selected this Wendy's in Kirkland because it was on my route, it's not my normal store. After I picked up my order from the designated location inside the restaurant a worker came out of behind the counter to stop me and accuse me of taking someone else's food. She asked me my name (Greg) and said that the order was for another name? (Ben) at which point I got out my identification and the order on my phone. I'm 56 years old, I don't steal anything, let alone fast food? I don't appreciate the accusation and I will not be returning to this Wendy's in the future. read more

Apparently, this place was remodeled recently as everything looks all shiny and new from the parking lot outside to the trash bins inside. The menu is basically the same as any other Wendy's but the presentation is several steps above the norm. Animated video boards take a little getting used to before you can figure out exactly what's going on with the menu. Once your eyes adjust, you will find all the basic combos, sides, and value menu items that you would expect. One cool upgrade is the inclusion of flat screens on two of the dining area walls which just happened to be on ESPN while I was there. Not sure what the normal programming would be, but that was a nice touch although it is video only as they have some sort of standardized music playlist going on at all times. One of the employees had also mentioned that the registers are fingerprint encrypted which was either mentioned out of excitement for technology or as an excuse for not having to do anything. Oh, and there's an extra fancy artificial fireplace thing under one of the TV's which sits above a sort of lobby, waiting room seating area that is also the centerpiece of the dining room. If you are okay with Wendy's food, you will be very happy with the overall experience here. Basically, it is fast food all dressed up and made to look fancy which I guess makes you feel better about what you are eating. read more

I'm a business traveler who frequents Wendy's locations all around the west coast. This location does not compare to the service that I receive at most locations. For my job I am on the road all day so I frequently order a large ice water with my order. I have never had a Wendy's location charge me for a large iced water until today. Initially I was told they couldn't do water in anything besides a small water cup so I asked if I could pay for a larger size...sure at full price of a soda and with an attitude from the employee to go along with it. As it was a business meal I paid for it with a company credit card. More attitude from employee #2 when I asked for a copy of the receipt. My apologies for apparently being such a difficult customer. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. Update: Against my better judgement I returned to this Wendy's today (5 months later). I am pleased to say I had a great experience. Customer service was great. No issue with a large water(free of charge this time) and no attitude when I requested a copy of my receipt. This visor was 5 stars. Previous visit was 1 star. I ordered a combo thru drive way and when I got home I found they gave me the wrong order of burger that looks like small size dollar menu burger. So I called the store three times which they ne very bothered to answer. So I had to drive back because the order I got was clearly not equivalent to what I paid for. Last year or so the staff were nice and the food fresh..The last two times have been horrible. I came last month and ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches and it was not cooked properly yuck.
