I've been to Five Guys all over the country, and this one is by far the worst one I've been to. The grilled onions and grilled mushrooms, while good portions, weren't grilled. They were refrigerator cold. The bun fell apart because the burger was so soggy. Even the bacon was soggy. It was impossible to eat, and I left a Five Guys for the very first time without finishing my burger. Also, there was only one order other than mine finished the entire time I was there. Wow, so good!! Five guys really hits the spot when you're craving a cheeseburger and fries. I used to not care for the fries but lately they seem so well seasoned and super crispy, just how I like them! I feel like the staff at this location are super nice and keep the place so clean, making it a friendly environment. The little cheeseburger is my go to order and it's much bigger than you'd expect. I went in there to order two burgers with fries and I told them I had a tomato allergy change your gloves and get fresh ingredients with nothing that touched tomatoes. They were so stupid they gave me two burgers with no bun with a bunch of Topping on top. I took one look was like who the hell eats a burger with no bun, I said a allergy to tomato not bread. They did a terrible job sealing the food that uber eats delivered. Pretty sure the driver had his hand in the bag, which is gross. Don't understand why they couldn't seal it up to prevent this? Edit: the owner responded to contact uber which I have done. I still think their business could make a better effort to ensure safety. They could staple the bag shut so it can't be opened until delivery. Update: the owner had the manager deliver a complete replacement meal this evening. I've been to a few locations where the staff are talking amongst themselves and act put out to have to deal with customers. The crew here are smiley, friendly and get your order prepared quickly. After an unfortunate fry experience at another establishment a bit earlier tonight, we stopped by five guys and picked up a large fries for me. Service was friendly. My fries are crispy on the outside, mealy on the inside, just salty enough, and not too greasy. Some of my fries even have bits of potato skins on them. And my fries are WARM! TLDR: great burgers and fries PEANUT ALLERGY ALERT: they use peanut oil to cook their fries and there are complimentary peanuts. Those with peanut allergies should not order here or even step foot in the door if you have a severe allergy. They honestly should put signs up near the door for people that aren't familiar. Ordered ToGo. COVID-19 has this place pretty busy during peak hours so expect a little wait if you place an order at the register. Parking: small shared lot. Menu: straight forward and located on the back wall behind the register. Don't forget to add on the free toppings when you order a burger! Service: order and pay at the register, your name/number will be called when your order is ready for pick up. Burgers: their patties are pretty good compared to most fast food joints. I can't say I've had a bad one--mine has always been cooked to no pink and have never been dry. I love the fact that you can add green bell peppers to your burger--that crunch is so satisfying, I highly recommend! Burgers are slightly on the spendy side but you get what you pay for! Fries: there are sizes listed on the menu but I don't think I've ever been to a Five Guys that doesn't give you a bag full when you order a Regular Size. Unless you are a super carb addict or want to share, a Regular Size should be more than enough to at least make your belly content. That being said, their fries are delicious! Don't let them sit in the bag too long though or they will get soggy--rip that bag open and let them breathe! Cajun Fries: these are good as well and slightly spicy--a little too spicy for me with how much seasoning is caked on. Good news for those like me: you can ask for regular fries with a side of the cajun season (provided in a small plastic container) so you can sprinkle (or dip) yourself. I try not to request this if they staff seem super flustered or busy though because it does throw them off their groove if they are in robo-crunch mode. read more

Their burgers are basically load as much condiments and toppings as you can and forget about the burger and bun. Place was ice cold inside on a cold rainy day. Not a comfortable place to eat when you're shivering. Luckily the food was hot and delicious! Burgers are really great, especially when you're really hungry. Meat is very fresh and flavorful and the cheese is thick and tasty. The bun is also very fresh and makes or breaks a burger. It definitely makes it on this one! I love how you can add whatever you want to your burgers and sandwiches at no charge! I think it's really smart for companies to do that. I love getting some peanuts while I wait for my food. Great thing to have. You already need them for the fires so why not give some out to snack on! Fries are good at first but they just start to taste greasier and greasier with every bite. You definitely don't feel very well after eating here. The prices are also a little high. I went there yesterday and the place was so empty, this place is always packed no matter what time I came before. I ordered a single patty adult burger and I was surprised its almost $7. It used to be a little over $4 and another surprised that it was way smaller, the bread was dry and the ingredients no longer taste fresh. My order: cheese burger with lettuce, grilled mushroom, ketchup, onion and tomatoes. So good! so juicy! so satisfying! Love their Soda machine with so many flavors. I tried their Coke with Raspberry and refilled with Coke and Lime. Both were yummy! Service: Friendly, cheerful and quick. While you wait for them to cook you can snack on their free peanuts. Atmosphere:Open area and crowded but kind of fun. The one thing I appreciate and like about Five Guys is that the kitchen area is completely visible from the dining area. I don't really eat fast food, but as far as fast food places go, this is one of my go-to places because they do things to order. Actually, this is the only fast food I've had in Kirkland... The burgers are freshly cooked and you get to pick the toppings for it. (Note: "everything" doesn't mean literally everything on their topping list, just the ones on the first line of the list. I don't think that word means what you think it means...) The portion sizes are pretty good as well; I am usually stuffed after a little cheeseburger (1 patty, as opposed to the regular, which is the double) and a handful of fries and peanuts. Even the vegie burger is pretty filling for a fast food place since you can get fried mushrooms and peppers and all kinds of good stuff on it. I do wish they had different patty options though. I LOVE how they give you fries in the cup, then once everything is stacked in your bag they top up your fries! The small fries (when topped up) are a decent portion, enough to be a side when split between two people. They also have one of those soda machines with the 100+ flavor combos, which makes decision time pretty difficult.. The machine is super fun to play with though. UPDATE: I recently tried their online ordering system, which was super easy to use. The burger was still tasty as usual, but they don't make the fries until you get there, so they're a fresh batch (spilling out of the little cup). Sure, it means you can't literally grab your bag and run, but if you wait a minute or two you'll have super fresh fries. Yum! I was in and out of there in under five minutes. read more

My husband ordered online for pickup at the Kirkland location and I was about ten minutes later than the pickup time. I was mentally prepared to drive home with cold burgers and sad fries. I walked in and was immediately greeted. Told them the name in the order and they grabbed a bag and started rebadging immediately... y'all... they dropped fresh fries while making my hubby's shake I didn't know he ordered and gave me piping hot ones without a word from me. I have been here 3 times in the past 6 years or so, and have never been impressed. The last time, I was alone, and so could concentrate a bit more on the food quality. What I realized is that I have never had a burger that was not oversaturated with toppings, despite my attempts to qualify in ordering. Wendy's does this with mustard, so I solve that problem by ordering burgers minus the mustard. However, Five Guys is more expensive, and more of a hassle, you stand and wait for your order, usually there's a line, the place is loud inside, etc., and for that, I expect something a bit better than Wendy's (no disrespect to Wendy's intended here). The fries are just okay, somewhat flavorless. But then, most fries these days fried in politically correct vegetable oils are usually pretty blah. However, soggy burgers that simply fall apart right away are not my idea of burger heaven. 3 of the best burgers I've ever had were 1) Eat-a-burger, in Boise, ID, where I think even the buns tasted home-made. 2) Fuddruckers in Greensboro, NC, where you could add tons of lettuce and freshly made, cilantro-heavy pico de gallo as toppings! 3) The Cooker in Greensboro, NC, take-out only, with wicked grilling ground beef smells undubitably laced with carcinogens which enticed all those happy places in the nose and mouth!! read more

We keep returning here. So it's about time for a review. They do burgers (and hot dogs) and fries and now they have shakes. Everything is done well. We usually stick with the Little Cheeseburger (or Little Bacon Cheeseburger), because it is really not that little, and split a small order of fries (because, again, not small). "All the way" adds all the usual (and a couple of unusual, like mushrooms) toppings and that works for us. The only way to eat this stacked up burger is to leave it in the foil and peel it back as you eat. All other methods leave you with a giant mess because the bun might be a little too soft (but I'm not complaining). There are plenty of topping options to play with here. This Five Guys has some great employees, and I am able to order on my phone (with their app) and pick up hot, fresh food when I get there. One cool thing about Five Guys is that they show you what farm the potatoes for that day's Fries come from (it's on the wall). They also have free peanuts available inside the restaurant. This is because their fries are fried in 100% peanut oil - which gives them a little different flavor and texture. The normal burger is a DOUBLE burger -- so keep that in mind. Additionally, the fries are voluminous. For a regular Cajun fry, they fill the regular sized cup with fries, then pour one scoop of extra fries on top of them inside the bag. The fries are amazingly good, but a regular burger and regular Cajun fry is a HUGE, gluttonous meal. I highly suggest this place. I don't know why anyone would go to McDonald's or whatever - since they legally can't even call their burgers burgers and have an asterisk next to "Angus" because it's "Angus brand" or whatever stupid gimmick they've made up. Admittedly, this place is relatively expensive. My wife and I usually order 1 burger and 1 Cajun fry each and it comes out to ~$17-18 if I remember correctly. Pretty good, but so bad for you. I've been to Five Guys twice now and I'm glad I went twice. My first visit was mediocre at best, while the second helped me understand why people love this place. I'm not a real fan of their decor, but it works in a very clear nod to the Fudruckers of the 1990's. They score big points for cleanliness, too. Service has been incredibly friendly and patient both times I've gone. The food seems hit or miss based on hunger level. These are huge burgers, well made, worth the spendy cost. My first time I got a normal burger and normal fries and that was my mistake; I felt they made "good" fries, but not worth the huge cost. My second visit I got a bacon cheese burger with everything, and Cajun fries; and now I understand what the hype is about. It was delicious. So your experience may vary based on how hungry you are and what you order. If you get a burger and fries with none of the bells and whistles, you may feel you've overpaid. If you order one with everything, they may have to call an ambulance after your heart gives out. Ultimately, I think they're tasty. I'll return someday when I'm willing to down 3500 calories at a single meal, again. read more

This burger joint does not disappoint every time I come. It's my first time in this location but food/service is still the same. On this visit, I changed it up, I ordered the cheese hot dog and it was yummy. I had asked for the jalapeno, mustard/ketchup, grilled onion, and raw onion. I was expecting for my hot dog to be sloppy with the sauce running but nope. It was just a perfect combination of everything, it was damn organized. Since it is my first time ordering a dog, I can't be sure if the cooks are trained to do it that way, if so, that's great. I'm the kind of gal that want extra toppings but this time, it was just perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a burger, as usual when I had the taste, thumbs-up. Kikay loved their fries. For some reason she liked the red and white combo style of their diner, she kept pointing it out. Oh and when we got there the place was just a bit messy. Right away, I wondered how the bathroom looked like, when I went in to wash my hand, the bathroom was clean. Then, also towards the end of our meal, there was one employee who was appointed to clean up the whole area of the restaurant. Yeeeeah so I had been to the Five Guys in Redmond a few years ago and thought it was pretty good, the buns were fluffy and tasty and all the ingredients I requested were all on the burger. So when the Five Guys in Kirkland opened I decided to give it a try and went there with my gf. Overall I was very unimpressed for multiple reasons. First of all, they forgot to include lettuce which I had requested on the burger and also either ketchup or mayo (I can't remember which sauce they forgot but I checked the receipt afterwards and the lettuce and sauce were on the order). Secondly, the burger and bun were all smashed up and flattened. I don't mind a SLOPPY burger like at Dick's, but a smashed burger is completely different. Thirdly, I think whoever was doing the fries accidentally hit the salt shaker too hard because the top half of my cup of fries was so covered in salt I had to use a napkin on each fry to wipe off the salt before I could eat it. I've never had to do this before and I've eaten a ton of french fries in my life. So yeah, my visit was comprised of a smashed burger that was missing ingredients (and therefore flavor) and fries that were layered in salt. When we were ordering, the employee received a telephone call and had us on hold for several minutes. She never apologized for having us wait.
