I frequent this location quite often...Tonight, the visit motivated me to write a review. The staff were on fire tonight! I was greeted almost immediately after the door closed, and my order was taken very quickly! I was waiting for my food, when the expeditor came to me with it! I'm saddened by the decline in quality of food and service. For the second time in a row of dining here, the lettuce was soggy, so my tacos were soggy. I asked for 4 hot sauces, which were listed on my receipt. I got home and found zero hot sauces. And the young man running the window was not personable, and sort of rude. First time at this location for me and my family. Food was fresh and really good. The young man who took our order was great. Although for one meal I clearly and also repeated myself asking for BEEF and we got chicken instead, thankfully my son enjoyed his chicken burrito and didn't complain once. Cody, the young man who took our order (also posted a review here as well) speaks very soft/low and I mean absolutely soft/low. I thought I spoke soft/low with my pornish voice but he out did me for sure. You most certainly will have to ask again what he is saying and my advice is to be sure and double check your order even if you have to speak louder than him. I've been going to this beloved Taco Time for over 20 years. Its my spot for quick and healthy food in Redmond. The management/ownership needs to be aware that the service has been very bad within the last month, specifically, the drive thru. I've been left sitting in my car with no communication, given the wrong orders and essentially ignored. Its been a bit shocking to have such bad experiences at a place that has always been great. My Mom commented on how clean the restaurant was and was delighted with the soda machine that offered her lemon Coke - a blast from her past. I know I'm supposed to not like it, but hey, it's not bad. 4) It's *not* Mexican food but I don't think it's supposed to be. It's Taco Time which is its own genre; nowhere in the name does it say "Mexican". If you want good Mexican food try Taqueria el Rinconcito up the road. 5) Again, this is not Mexican and neither is Taco Bell (yuk). 6) See # 4 7) They have a kickass soda machine that makes all kinds of colored fizzy drinks and no one will say anything to you even if you already poured say eight strange concoctions for yourself. I really like Taco Time and enjoy their Taco Salads. They are fresh and tasty. However, this location has messed up our orders twice now. The first time we ordered three taco salads along with other items and when we got home, realized we only got one. Today we ordered two taco salads and were happy to see we got both but when we got home, there was no ranch dressing in the bag. I really like the Taco Time Franchise and this restraunt is no exception. They seem better equipped with a staff that understands some people have allergies and they actually got my order right today. I enjoy the food which is fresh I am considering going back to try a new soup that is on the menu. I really appreciate that all the disposable containers are now compost able in a commercial facility. This is exciting for anyone interested in reducing waste or the environment in general. Example, no one was at counter when I walked up (no biggie). An employee came up to a different register than I was standing at. I didn't notice at first, but when I did, she was just looking at me. Last time I was home in Ca, my dad was raving about Taco Time (and how sad he was that the local TT was closed). My dad is kind of strange-- with his peanut butter + bologna sandwiches-- but I had to stop by TT eventually to find out what the fuss was about. You can compare this TT to your average Taco Bell, but CLEAN. One of my biggest complaints about most fast food is their "open kitchen", where you can see how dirty and gross it is back there. I really enjoy Taco Time... no shame here. I mean, tater tots? Yes, please! (Oh, excuse me, "Mexi Fries"). You haven't ~lived until you've had their Crisp Chicken Burrito. Anytime someone orders one, the cashier yells "chicken!" to the kitchen staff, and that can only mean one thing... it's made to order! That means you're in for a hot and fresh, narrow, cigar like burrito, with a crispy flour tortilla, chock-full of chicken & cream cheese & cheese. I think there may be a few vegetables in there too, but not enough to be noticeable (thank goodness). And the best part is the end, that's all extra crispy and delicious. While I love the fried food here, I actually also love their lighter options. They have Fit Hit bowls and lighter cheese and dressing options. My favorite is the Taco Salad with chicken, with mild salsa, medium salsa, and sour cream. How wonderful is it that you can have as many salad dressings as you want, included in the price! I was surprised when I went to the Taco Time in Las Vegas because the menu was slightly different, everything felt fattier and greasier, and it certainly wasn't locally made or grown or fresh or even cooked the same day. Everything was limp and sad. And the reason this is relevant is because it just highlights why Taco Time Northwest is so great. This location is always clean and there are plenty of seats. All of the staff have been very friendly, and I'm just sorry it's not right around the corner from my house like it used to be. This is the most fun I have ever had getting fast food! I am not a fast food eater and have never been to a Taco Time but I saw the good reviews and while moving I needed a fast place to stop and get us all dinner. I am so glad Reggie at Redmond Self Storage recommended this place! I am blown away by the food - but the service was a blast! The woman (manager?) with the spiky blonde hair and glasses was very helpful explaining the "fresh" food Taco Time prides itself on. She also explained each dish and told me what the most popular were for my task at hand - which was critical because that is a large menu! She has a terrific sense of humor and by the time I pulled up to the drive thru we were all laughing. She even walked over and said "Hi" in person and we shared some upbeat conversation while my food was collected. She was right on all accounts! And OMG THE TATER TOTS WERE PERFECT!!!!! The drive thru is the longest I have ever used, and with the tight turns it felt kinda like a roller coaster. Vroom Vroom! The only thing I regret is not using the soda machine - but since I will be going back I can easily make that correction! The food is not Taco Bell cheap but much less than a "real" restaurant and I fed everyone with leftover tater tots (I planned for that ;) for $40. Totally worth it! A steal!
