The staff is kind and attentive and the food comes out within a reasonable timeframe. They're always gracious to my family and my young children. We feel welcomed every time. American food like grandma used to make with a few fun Mexican or Italian dishes. The menu is entertaining to read too. I personally love their "Half Brown" which is more like 2/3 of a Hot Brown. If you're really hungry, the whole "Haute Brown" will be for you! Save room for dessert though -- all of which are good but my favorite is their Kentucky Bacon pie. The service can be very spotty here. My hubby and I have eaten here frequently. I'm not sure why the service is super and why it can sometimes be agonizingly slow. It was pretty empty when we got there but it started filling up with families and I just really loved watching them start eating their chips and dips! Jacobo came by our table about 4-5 times to see if we were ok. He was really friendly and asked us to come back again. The ravioli was well filled and the sauce was outstanding. My Stromboli was heavy on the melted cheese to the point it was difficult to find the meatballs. But what really stood out,aside from flavor and sauce (on the side) was the dough. Light, just the right amount of crisp without reminding you of a burnt pizza crust. Service was outstanding. Robert was attentive without being obtrusive. Pricing is reasonable, with a nice mix of prices for any budget. Palermo's is upscale dining at modest prices and well worth a visit.
