In honor of President's Day, I'm getting around to writing on Yelp review on Wendy's. It's like why Wendy's?! We never had a President Wendy, and Wendy's founder Dave Thomas wasn't the President (although President of Wendy's has gotta count for something). I went to this location many times in 2023 & 2024 as this is my closest location to my home. I moved to Russett in November 2020 and early on, there was a Wendy's, which would've been more convenient, but that location had a lot of issues the couple of times I went in 2021 including leaking roof & more. I went to another location in Columbia for a grand opening in July 2023 and for being one of the 1st 100 customers on that hot July day, I got free salad or sandwich with a purchase every week for a year. Technically, the card did say it was only valid at that MD-108 location and for the first 2 months, I only went to that location every week, which I'd make work often combining with a movie at AMC Columbia or other reason I was going in that direction. One time in September 2023, the frosty machine wasn't working, and I called Dobbins Center Columbia location, and she said come on down. I spoke with that manager, and she said we & other locations should accept my free pass. So, I tried at this location, which is part of an Exxon gas station & convenience store by late September, and they accepted. Beltsville & Linthicum Heights were 2 locations I tried and refused this. I always got one of 2 salads, as I'd have to make another purchase which usually wasn't so healthy. Usually, I'd get the Cobb salad, no bacon, and it was pretty good. Often times I'd pair it with 6-piece nuggets. Wendy's nuggets are delicious. There were times I'd get the salad to go to eat for dinner or the next day for lunch. In those cases, I'd get the iced coffee that I'd either drink then or save for next day too. Occasionally, I got the chili with my salad. Their chili is good. Customer service was kind of hit or miss. Often times, at the cashier, I'd get a tall African man, who was nice but also could be abrasive at times. Sometimes he'd argue about the deal. One time in early April, he said we can't accept the deal because it says April 1. I explained it's the week of April 1, not specifically on that Monday. The manager, who was a nice guy, said the policy now is that it has to be that day from now on, but he would accept this time. But next time, it has to be on a Monday. That was annoying but from April through mid-July when my card was up, I'd either plan to go there on a Monday or I'd go to another location on another day. The manager & staff is decent here. The manager came around a couple of times to see how I was enjoying my food, which was nice. After my deal was over in September 2024, I realized I had $20 on a gift card on my phone that I had uploaded way back in March 2021 that I had forgotten about. The app was bad as it's not obvious I had this money on there and was hard to find on the app. I think the reason I uploaded to app was that I thought it'd be easier as I might forget about the gift card or worse lose it. But in September 2024 at lunchtime, I waited close to 10 minutes in busy line. The cashier said I couldn't redeem there and had to order on the app. I was annoyed as I was hungry, wasted time waiting in line, and had to put the order on my little phone. It worked out fine. But in January, I had $6 something left on the card. I was with my girlfriend and we ordered $18 worth on the phone, and it charged my credit card the entire amount. I was pissed. I asked the manager (different person) than the other guy, and she didn't know how to split on the app, which didn't surprise me. Wendy's customer service said that it couldn't be split up and have still not been helpful in this situation. So, I'm going to use when I can spend as close to $6.56 as possible without going over and maybe be done with Wendy's at least for a while. However, that is not factoring in my review of Savage Wendy's as I was already planning on a 3-star review of them for a while. In summary, food is pretty good as is the iced coffee. Customer service was a mixed bag here. So, overall a 3-star is what my local Wendy's is getting. read more

I went out of my way to go to a Wendy's I've not visited before because every experience near Fort Meade has been atrocious. I asked for a 10, with no lettuce or tomato and verified with the cashier that the sandwich included chicken, bacon, ranch, cheese. How in the hell have I received THIS EXACT THING every single time, regardless of location?! I'm not entirely certain what is going on, but I am certain I'll never be returning to a Wendy's again. Almost $15 for a damp, cold chicken patty with an unknown white substance smattered on 30% of it. read more

I only ever use the app when I place my orders. This location is attached to a Exxon gas station so it pretty convenient. The drawback is the lot can get pretty hectic during peak times. I always take my order to go here because it's more coverage for me. The dinning area doesn't really look to be the cleanest. It shares the lobby and restrooms with the gas station as well. I always just walk up to my order up from the mobile order pick up area. My order has always been correct and ready each time I have come. Cashiers have always been nice and they aren't weird when you ask for extra sauce or napkins. Overall good by Wendy's standards. Hopefully they can renovate sometime in the near future because that's what's needed the most. read more

This location is attached to a gas station, so the parking lot can get rather hectic. But it is also convenient for that that very reason. You can grab some lunch, gas and a snack if you'd like. Perfect for me, because my job is just right around the corner. The staff is friendly, the location is clean and they get your order out to you quickly. I stopped here today around 9am. I had leave my office for a morning meeting and was out a little too early for lunch, so I decided to just grab something off of their breakfast menu. I got the chicken biscuit with the seasoned potatoes and an OJ. I was pleasantly surprised by my meal. The sandwich was very tasty. I loved the slight taste of honey on the biscuit. And the potatoes.....LISTEN! Potatoes are my favorite breakfast item and the potatoes were excellent! They were seasoned perfectly and fried just enough to give them a nice crunch! Wendy just may be giving Chic-fil-a a run for their money with this one! read more

Worst service from a Wendy's I've ever received.they failed to take my order for over 15 minutes, waiting for someone to take my order. I even said excuse me and they ignored me. Worst Wendy's ever. Should fire everyone there. Never received service, left. 4 other people behind me also left. How are food service workers getting paid 15 dollars for this. read more

Came here one night and my order was completely wrong. I asked could he correct my order and when he did so, he gave me the wrong order again. And then he had an attitude because he was wrong lol. Worst customer service at this location. read more

This location is the worst. On Friday, 08/23/2019, I stopped by this location on my way to Columbia, Maryland to get my car serviced. I was really hungry and looking forward to trying the 6 free spicy chicken nuggets for the first time. However, the staff are extremely rude and disrespectful with their tone. I ordered a 4 for 4 along with the free 6 spicy chicken nuggets using my Wendys mobile app and when I picked up my order through the drive thru and checked the bags, I noticed I had my burger, fries and 4 regular chicken nuggets but I didn't see 6 free spicy chicken nuggets. The mobile app had a special where if you made an order using the Wendy's mobile app, you could receive free 6 spicy chicken nuggets. So I added the free special to my mobile Order. When I asked the cashier about why the 6 free chicken nuggets were not in the bag, she stated that it was not on the order. So I ended up going back and forth with them because I told them clearly that I know I added the spicy nuggets to my mobile order despite it not appearing on their end. When I finally received the spicy chicken nuggets, they gave me 4. Only 4! So that made me livid and I proceeded to tell them how unprofessional they were. Finally, they submitted and gave me the 2 additional spicy chicken nuggets for a total of 6. I guess that day was just not my day because of the traffic and how long it took getting to my car appointment, and plus I was super hungry. I'm disappointed in the lack of courtesy at this Wendy's location and I will NOT be returning here. There are other nicer and friendlier Wendy's locations in Maryland. I usually don't come to Wendy's, but they were advertising the peach teas and I wanted one. I ordered through the drive thru, I had a question about a meal substitute and needed additional help once at the drive thru window (language barrier). I ordered a double burger, fries and substituted the soda for a tea. The food was so so salty and the tea was like syrup. I have since visited a different Wendy's and the drink was still too thick and sweet. But the burger wasn't salty. read more

My fiancé and I have been wanting to try Wendy's breakfast for awhile and finally had the opportunity to do so. I do have to say say Im pleasantly surprised that it was actually pretty good. I'm a fan of the regular baconator so to find out they had a breakfast version made even more interesting, and I have to say it was really good. Love that they offered breakfast potato wedges instead of your typical hash brown and they were also pretty good. Service was fast and friendly at this particular restaurant. I've stopped going to Wendy's because of the service at Dobbin road in Columbia. The only down fall is the croissant didnt really have that flakiness of your typical breakfast croissant and that would have definitely gotten them a 5 star but overall really good. This is by far the best Wendy's I've been to in years. Friendly and fast service -- I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend the drive-thru --- yes I said the drive thru. We ordered and got our food in less than a minute during the lunch hour. read more

So after years of dealing with another Wendy's and not getting good service I decided to try a different one. I came here and the cashier was friendly and attentive and took care to make sure he got my order right. I've been coming to this one for about a month and a half now, sometimes it's busy and sometimes it's slow, but every time the staff have been welcoming and helpful. They fulfill every order before they go to the next customer. I usually get two half-sized salads and the portion sizes seem bigger here compared to the last one I went to. I plan on coming back to this one regularly. read more

Not the best of the Wendy's. Every time I go, there is always one person busting their ass to cover pretty much all the roles, and the rest of the accessory players just standing around. This leads to long wait times, and heaven forbid there are more than a few people in line. Many a times, I have left due to the wait. They also seem to run out of stock a lot. read more

First it is Wendy's so how good/bad can it be? The food is standard Wendy's fare. The frosty is still good. The spicy chicken sandwich is still pseudo-spicey. So why only 1 star? Because it is dirty? the staff is rude? It may not be the cleanest of restaurants, but the staff is not rude. The reason I gave them 2 stars is because they are glacially slow. If this store was a race car, old lady's with walkers would bolt past them. The really sad part is they seem to have no clue that they are that slow. It is painful to watch. read more

Wendy's - From outside - Fast Food Near Me - Laurel, Maryland

I'm done with this Wendy's. Really the only thing they managed to get right was the Frosty which is pretty hard to screw up. This place is dirty and slow and just trashy in so many ways. I guess that is what you get for a fast food restaurant near Laurel that is attached to a gas station. I got the spicy chicken sandwich today and there was something wrong with it. It was oddly chewy and had a bad taste so here's to hoping that I don't get sick from it. Avoid this location at all costs. There are way better places to go. read more

My order was completely messed up once I got home (I know, my fault for not checking the bag as usual) I checked my receipt to make sure I had ordered everything correctly and I had, not to mention there were no outrageous requests (substitute this, leave out add, etc.) Just your average order. I realized that my actual order for a family of four came out to about $40. But the food I brought was only about $20 worth of food. I called the location and I tried explaining the problem to the lady on the phone. All kept repeating was that I'd have to come back through the drive thru and reorder the items AND repay for them....ummmm what? I again tried to explain that I already paid, but again I got the same response. Because there was language barrier I asked to speak with someone else who might understand better. Maybe a manager? She said "I manage". Sooo I tried explaining again. She began speaking to someone in the background that I could hear spoke clear English. I asked if I could speak with that employee just to make sure there was no miscommunication and I wasn't trying to scam for free food. I just wanted to come by and pick up what I paid for. When I asked to speak to the other employee, the woman called me an obscene word in Spanish and hung up. Definitely calling corporate. I understand mistakes happen. I was willing to come back and get my items. But the "manager" wasn't having it. Worst customer service. We'll be going out of our way to another location from now on. read more

I saw the commercial for the 4 for 4 deal and thought I would give it a try. They told me that they no longer have that deal so I got something else. I wasn't convinced so I went to their website and there was a big banner about the 4 for 4 deal. read more

We stopped by here on our way up North later in the evening. Food was fresh and service was great. The young man who took our order was friendly and professional. The only reason I took one star was the decor could use a little update but it was clean inside. I would revisit again if in the area needing a quick bite. read more

Wendy's continuously disappoints me on service. This was no exception. I counted 6 employees at one point doing the collective work that one person could have done. They were nice enough but slow and disinterested. They desperately needed training and a manager to delegate tasks. read more

I went in there today for lunch. Food was good but the people working there seemed kind of sad. There was an African American woman dressed in all black that was yelling at the employees very rudely and very loudly. She was standing at the French fry station and was yelling at people about the fries. I felt bad for the employees they looked sad and I think it had to do with this bad employee or supervisor. Nobody should have to deal with verbal abuse at work like she was spouting off. They are just French fries. If you have an issue it should be quietly and calmly addressed outside of the view of the customers. read more

The service here was memorable for all bad reasons! I was waiting in line for my spicy chicken sandwich when a customer noticed that Maria (stated she was apparently the manager) was handling money and food without washing her hands or using gloves. The customer brought this to her attention in which she told him it was ok and that her method was sanitary. The customer proceeded to tell her that it wasn't and asked for her information so he could report her. She ignored him. He continued to try to get her attention and she eventually responded by saying "I don't have time for you!" Her fellow employee, Rueben (heavy set with glasses), entered the convo and told the customer to google it. The customer said that he should be provided with the manager info and store number in which Rueben called him a douche bag (in front of Maria, the supposed manager). There was a back and forth exchange in which the info was never given to the customer and the overall experience was just terrible!! I will never go back to this Wendy's and I advise you all not to either. They are unsanitary and he customer service is non-existent! read more

Worst Wendy's I have ever been to. On one occasion, my wife and I stood at the counter for 20 minutes waiting on them to apparently slaughter a cow in the back, butcher it, grind the meat and cook it. The last time I was here, they gave me a burger with brown lettuce and a hard (stale) bun. Word of advice, find another Wendy's. read more
